i know ken was def the in the wrong and everything but i can’t help relating to him in a few aspects??? constantly relying and needing validation from one person who doesn’t feel the same way about you and learning you need to find yourself and who you truly are bc you spent so long trying to please them. that rlly hit close to home

like a lot of what he did made me pissed off, but also a lot of what he went through felt VERY relatable (i feel like u put it perfectly, ESPECIALLY THE PART ABT HAVING TO FIND URSELF AND NOT FEELING SPECIAL, ETC ETC)

i think a lot of what happened to ken helped develop the main message that yk gender norms and misogynistic stereotypes (as well as both the matriarchy and the patriarchy) harm all people (i know i keep going on and on abt this, but i will never stop)

anyways i loved kens character but i also didnt love him (stereotypical ken and also the other kens. simu lius ken was just hilarious) and i think ryan gosling knocked it out of the fucking park with this movie and his dancing and singing skills make me lowkey jelly
