Fight of the Year candidate and great gear from Julian Williams and Jarrett Hurd in Fairfax Virginia.

Hurd sported a head-to-toe Redskins theme. It is not uncommon for fighters to play to the home crowd with a nod to a local team’s colors (whether the fighter is from the city or not), but I’ve never seen a fighter actually use an NFL teams logo on his trunks!

The back of the trunks worn by Hurd (who is from the DC area and is indeed a Redskins fan) even included the Hail to the Redskins hashtag:

One of the tricky things about the Redskins burgundy and gold is that its so hard to get both the burgundy and the gold to translate similarly onto different surfaces. Here, you’ll notice that the #HTTR is a slightly different shade of gold than that of the gold trim. Further, Hurd’s gloves are a noticably darker shade of burgundy:

Hurd completed the look with matching Everlast shoes and REDSKINS socks:

I respect the commitment, particularly when compared to the last fighter who tried to “win over DC fans” w Redskins colors:

B-Hop didn’t quite make the same style effort in 2014 against Beibet Shumenov at the DC Armory as Jarret Hurd did here. Great work Jarret - HTTR.

Julian Williams, who won via unanimous decision in a minor upset, had a great look as well.

White trunks, with red side paneling and gold piping along his right leg and blue side paneling and gold piping along his left, red waistband and JROCK in gold:

Intentionally or unintentionally, Williams (who is from Philadelphia) is wearing a white/red/blue/gold/black look that stirs memories of the late 90s early 2000s Philadelphia 76ers color scheme:
