Introduction

Hi there! With FFXIVwrite fast approaching I thought I may as well start a writing tumblr. Just to introduce myself:

I'm constellarium from AO3! I currently write for the FFXIV fandom and it's, frankly, mostly spicy Haurchefant content lol, though I do plan to branch out in the future! I currently have two fics, one of which is ongoing:

Description: Haurchefant Greystone, fond of overworking, gets forced to take leave and return to the city. One night, he finds himself at the most dreadfully dull party he's ever had the displeasure of attending. Thankfully Jannequinard de Durendaire is there, cards in hand, to make his evening take a rather delightful turn.

This is my first year writing for this fandom and as such will be my first FFXIVwrite! I am very excited.

Hello! I’m curious about Wondrous Tales - Dancing, Flow 👀

So! I'm not subtle about being a giant xiv nerd and my friend runs an event called Wondrous Tales! I've got a bingo card and I'm working my way through my prompts c:

Xaela are giant lizard-y people with black scales, hyur are humans, elezen are tall elves and all the ones mentioned are various flavors of the Catholic Elf Nobility.

"You weren't wed then! Now there will be expectations for the couple in question to dance together."

Amasar and Sid's eyes caught as they looked from each other to Fray and back. Sid sighed, "and that the three of us are wed will impact this how?"

Jannequinard shrugged, "gossip will be rampant regardless, but either you figure out how a third man fits into your dance or take turns."

"Oh I'm sure the high houses would love that," Fray's dry comment expressed just how little he thought of the whole endeavor.

"Oh there's no pleasing them," Jannequinard waved a hand dismissively, "that's half the fun of these parties, honestly."

Sid groaned, "can we get on with this? What's the dance before I take a page from Amasar's book."

Amasar and Fray both swatted at Sid's arm, "you're not a dragoon" and "don't be a chocobo's arse" overlapping and drawing an exasperated eyeroll from the pale xaela.

Emmanellain and Jannequinard met eyes, Jannequinard assuming a position before Emmanellain fell in with him, interlocking their hands, "a waltz is timeless and will appeal to more parties than not. More contemporary dances tend to build or establish variations off of the waltz."

Amasar nodded slowly, "we have a problem."

"Nonsense! The positioning and posture is easy! You just keep your elbow in line with your shoulder and-"

The two socialites paused, looking at the dramatic height difference between Amasar and Sid versus Fray.

Artoirel didn't look up from his paperwork, "I was wondering when that would come up."
