for a show with the word sunshine in the title, "daily dose of sunshine" was pretty cloudy at times. the story was definitely a lot darker than i thought it would be but i enjoyed it. mental illness is such a sensitive topic, especially in kdramas so it was great to see it.

Biografia:

“Hey. Who was that?”

He tries to act cool, walking beside you as he looks at the direction of the guy who tried to act familiar with you—his words, not mine. Eyeing the boy like a predator despite him already walking away.

You scoffed, brushing off his arms that lays on your shoulder with a teasing tone, “and why do you care?”

“I asked first.”

“And I asked second.”

“I'm still first.” There is a cheeky grin on his face but it didn't reached his eyes, a hurtful look then flickered for a minute before they disappear like a flicker of a light. Woo-jin took a step forward with a smug grin present on his face that makes you have the drive to somehow—crush that smirk off.

Raising a brow at his somewhat interest, you answered with a huff. “It was just someone from the other class.”

“Why did he approached you then?” Woo-jin bites back the words that should've followed, watching as you blinked at him owlishly, what does he want with you? surely he didn't confessed, right? He sees you cross your arms over your chest, cocking your head to the side with a slight grin.

Oh no-

“He just asked for my helped for the upcoming class collaboration.”

Oh.

Woo-jin blinked.

He felt so stupid assuming things but how can he help it? You're likeable—especially in his eyes so how can he not like you? Woo-jin blinks, staring at the place that the boy went out before glancing back at you. There's something soft with how his smile turned softer.

It is unlike the ones he would shoot you, that boyish grin of his that looks stupid.

Now he looks more stupid.

And yet, that made your heart skip a beat at the sight only for you to internally beat yourself up for thinking such things.

"Why.. why the hell do you look relieved?" Came out of your mouth, straightforward and blunt, a tone of confusion seeping in as you can't help but think. Why?

Woo-jin spluttered a cough at your words, hitting his chest in repeat as he choked in his own spit. "M-me?! Relieved?" His eyes were blown wide akin to saucers.

"It's not that..!" He defended himself, "I was just wondering if you're really that reliable for him to pick you to help him." And like a child, he took out his tongue while pulling his eyelid which is a kid's universal sign of disrespect.

"Why you!" You gasped at his childish behavior, reaching to pinch him only for his swift lithe hands to capture your own.

"Nuh-uh!" "Oi, let go! You stupid—"

"Who are you calling stupid?" He retorts, taking both of your wrists as he dodges your pinches. "You! You son of a—!" When you couldn't hit him, you settled for hitting him by the shin with your feet, raising it to kick him playfully.

There's laughter all around as the two of you pick on each other, a usual occurrence in your friendship that the both of you had come and learnt to love and do. The playful quarrel and mischievous shenanigans that the both of you act.

It's pleasant.

But why does his eyes twinkle so much with affection as he looks at you, despite those boyish grin of his, the crinkles on his eyes softens every now and then.

Your foot hits his knee as he hissed, letting out a small pained cry as he crumbles to the ground like a kid deprived of cookies from the jar. "Gah!"

"Damn you hit me too hard.." He murmured, head bowed as he clutched his knee. You follow, frantic and panicking, his hold on one of your wrists still firm but tender. It's like he doesn't want to hurt you.

Hands not knowing what to do as you watch him, "It- Wait I didn't mean to do it that harsh!" You try to defend yourself, kneeling before him as you reach for his knee delicately, afraid that you'll hurt him further.

"Kidding!" Woo-jin exclaimed, craning his neck to look at you only to freeze.

The proximity is too close.

One move could make the two of you..

One.

His eyes that's trained on yours, unblinking, briefly glanced at your lips. You could see how his adam apple bob, like there is something stuck inside his throat. But you aren't fairing any better with how your whole body freeze.

Two.

"You.." his lips move, the voice barely audible if not for the closeness that you both share.

"Why won't you pull away..?" He whispers, still watching you.

The two of you were stuck in the moment, time seemingly freezing in place like how the two of you are focused towards each other. "Well, why aren't you..?" You turned his question back on him.

For there is no way that you'll be able to answer that. Not without spilling the thoughts you've always had inside your head. One that can ruin what the both of you share, this friendship that both of you are content with.

But is he truly?

Three.

He sighs through his nose, eyes still on you as his fingers that's holding you, twitch. "Because.."

Without warning, he gathers his thoughts and faces reality, taking the opportunity he was blessed with. Hand pulling you down to press your lips against his.

Soft.

Woo-jin's lips are chapped, yet the softness of it overwhelms you.

The way his other arm snakes to pull you by the back of your neck, the desperate feelings he has for you leaks from his actions.

Was this how kiss always felt? You don't know, but the chemistry doesn't fail.

And before you knew it, it was over.

"I don't want you being with him. Even if it's helping him." He murmurs, not pulling away completely. His forehead pressed against yours oh so sweetly. Beneath those eyes were intensity, the genuine and raw emotion came spilling out as soon as he built up his confidence.

"I don't like it."

Woo-jin.. just ruined the barriers that bounds you two as friends.

A TOXIC ENTANGLEMENT: HOW SON JINHWA GROOMED DEEPDIVE.

The Long and Painful History of MyDol's Most Successful Boy Group. TW || GROOMING & SEXUAL ASSAULT MENTION.

The history of KPOP's most successful boy group isn't easy, and it is one that their company would prefer you forget. DeepDive would usher in many firsts for their company, Angelico Entertainment. They were the first group to be formed by a survival show held by the label, the youngest trainees to debut under the label, the first boy group to hit 1 million album sales, and the first group to break into the international KPOP scene.

None of this came without struggle. A lot of struggle.

Starting in 2014 with their survival show "The New Wave," the boys, all teenagers, would be put through grueling weekly evaluations where the audience would vote on who they wanted to survive to the next episode. The New Wave gave the audience a first-time look into the Angelico training process, which already had a history of being one of the most intense training programs out of any company in the industry. Weekly, you could watch as 43 teenage boys got degraded, berated, and had their confidence shattered by the panel of trainers and judges, which consisted of Jang Kiha, leader of the boy group Priority, Jeon Jihan, COO of Angelico, Kim Minsi, Head Trainee Instructor, and Son Jinhwa, CEO of Angelico.

Son would prove to be the most brutal of the panel, notorious for having a high standard for his idols. However, his callous treatment of DeepDive didn't end with The New Wave; instead, it carried years into their career.

The final DeepDive lineup was decided in August 2015. The final seven members, listed by rank, were all considerably young, even for 2015's KPOP standards.

Their young ages were intentional. It's a running joke with DeepDive that Dowon almost didn't make it in the group as he was often the target of Son Jinhwa's endless tirades on the show, getting singled out for his age primarily as his skill never seemed to be an issue. "How do you plan on keeping up with the other boys? Will you be able to? Don't you think you're too old to debut?" All are phrases said to Dowon by Son Jinhwa during his time on The New Wave.

Today, Dowon is one of Son Jinhwa's active defenders, often showing up as a character witness to rave about how well Son and MyDol have treated him.

Son Jinhwa has proved time and time again that no matter how many times you kick a dog, it will remain loyal to you for a pat on the head. While his questionable relationship with Venus has raised eyebrows over the years, his relationship with DeepDive has been less reported on, simply falling under the category of a father-and-son-like relationship.

Ironically enough, Son's son is a member of DeepDive. Noah was born in Florida in 1999 before moving to South Korea with his father and mother at just two years old. He attended an international school throughout his youth. He began training at just ten years old under the guidance of his father, becoming one of the youngest trainees in Angelico history.

Finn Lee began training under Angelico at only 12, being recruited at a Talent show in Florida. Kiwoo was recruited at 13, Woojin at 13, and the rest of the members were recruited at 14. Son Jinhwa has been in every pivotal moment of these boys' lives, from graduations to debuts to awards to parental deaths. Jinhwa has been with them through it all and supported them through it all.

When Finn's father died in 2019, Son Jinhwa covered the funeral costs and paid off his family's home. What he didn't do was give Finn more than a week off. He only gave the then eighteen-year-old three days to attend his father's funeral, head back to South Korea, and process the loss of his father before he was back on stage.

in 2020, upon DeepDive's sudden massive success, Jisung's father, who had been absent for most of his life, attempted to claim ownership of half of his assets. Jinhwa covered the legal fees and had one of South Korea's top lawyers represent Jisung during the trial. However, what Jinhwa would not do for Jisung was give him a break after what Jisung himself said was one of "the most traumatic" times of his life.

Jinhwa love for DeepDive seems to only extend so far, operating their relationship on a hollow reward system that only benefits him in the end. When it doesn't benefit him, he doesn't reward. He leaves them to drown.

Provable through multiple police reports, Kim Woojin has reported DeepDive's long-term manager, Kim Hyerim, of sexual misconduct, sexual assault, indecency with a minor, and various other complaints that should have her fired and arrested. All these complaints were brushed under the rug and ignored by Son Jinhwa, who would pay off the police department to ignore these claims.

What Jinhwa did was put then-nineteen-year-old Woojin on a year-long hiatus in 2019, refusing to give any updates on him or even a proper reason for his hiatus for the entire year. When Woojin was reinstated as a member of DeepDive, he apologized for his "behavior" and promised to be better despite fans still being in the dark about what actually happened.

Despite all this, DeepDive has remained fiercely loyal to Jinhwa and MyDol, often shutting down criticisms of their label and proudly backing any decision their company makes, even if it's questionable and to their detriment. It doesn't matter to them, proving repeatedly that they will put their reputations on the line to defend the man they've been trained to believe they owe their careers to.

1. How many works do you have on AO3?

60 (blame my HP and AoUAD obsession lmao).

2. What is your total AO3 word count?

471,017. That’s…insane.

3. What fandoms do you write for?

At the moment, mostly for All of Us Are Dead. But of course, I can’t forget the whopping majority of HP fics I have! They really defined the beginning of my fanfic-writing journey.

6. What’s the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?

Oh, I’ll take a quiet life for sure. It’s a canon divergence of A Meaningful Sacrifice, and hoooo boy, that’s probably the single most saddest thing I have ever written in my life. (Never again, Glow. Never again.)

7. What’s the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?

Pretty much all of them have happy endings, so if I were to pick a few, then they would probably be The Bravest Man I Ever Knew, A Miracle in the Midst of September, and Come Back to Me.

The second fic is Downton Abbey while the third is AoUAD.

8. Do you get hate on fics?

Not really, but when I was writing A Meaningful Sacrifice, I got a lot of spam.

9. Do you write smut?

Not explicitly, no. There was one fic I posted (that I since deleted) which features non-graphic smut between Snape and Lupin. (I deleted it because it was too embarrassing to keep on my profile.)

10. Do you write crossovers?

I have one, Finding My Way Back to You (Again)! It’s a crossover where Oh Joonyeong of AoUAD is a doctor in the 20th Century Girl universe who helps Poong Woonho overcome amnesia sustained in a plane crash.

Other than that, I prefer writing AUs where I put characters from one show into another show’s universe. My Duty After School AU with AoUAD characters, Reluctant Duty, is a great example of this.

Yup! Albus Potter and the Journey Through Time in Portuguese on Wattpad (which is unfinished, unfortunately).

I have! Of Apologies and Food Fights: A Glimpse Into the Afterlife was an awesome collab with the amazing @glitterfairy-21225!

14. What’s your all-time favorite ship?

Oh Joonyeong/Jang Woojin, for sure. Since February 2022, these boys have been living in my head rent-free. Honorable mentions include Lee Cheongsan/Nam Onjo, Yang Daesu/Seo Hyoryung, and Lee Junho/Woo Youngwoo. The first four ships are from AoUAD, and the fifth is from Extraordinary Attorney Woo.

15. What’s a WIP you want to finish but doubt you will?

Probably Albus Potter and the Journey Through Time, even though it won’t take much longer to finish it. Every time I go back to it, I immediately feel discouraged from writing it because it suddenly seems like too big of an undertaking. However, I will never stop trying!

18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language?

It would be all fine and dandy if it uses the Roman alphabet (think French, Spanish, German), but if it was a language like Korean or Chinese, then I’d rather write the transliteration since my writing would be targeted towards English readers/speakers. But obviously, I’d try my best to write other cultures authentically.

19. First fandom you wrote for?

Though they’re all deleted, I first wrote for Detroit: Become Human. That was what got me into fanfic in the first place because I reasoned that, since the game had 99+ endings, fanfiction was fair game (I really hated fanfic at the time).

20. Favorite fic you’ve ever written?

A Meaningful Sacrifice, hands down. That was probably my single best piece of writing in terms of characterization, setting, worldbuilding, and cohesiveness with the original show. Additionally, I ended up creating two very important OCs which had significant influence in the main character’s life.

Writing that fic inspired a whole lore which is present in my other AoUAD fics like Washed Down the Drain, Us, Withering Under the Sun, and Reluctant Duty. I also gained an awesome friend from it in @glitterfairy-21225, so yeah. One of my best fanfic-writing experiences to date.
