I recently somehow hit 2k followers which is completely insane to me because this blog isn’t very old and was only made as my personal little outlet to scream about Stranger Things. Never did I think so many of you would care about my blog, so as a thank you I’ve done my first ever follow forever.

STANLEY URIS EVEN THOUGH I KNOW MOST OF THE ANSWERS

*cracks knuckles* Stanley Uris?? The light of my fucking life??? Buckle up, kids.

favorite thing about them: What isn’t there to adore about Stanley Uris?? He has the most unusual sense of humor that is so dry and beyond his years that most of the Losers don’t even understand how funny he is?? Like Stanley can literally crack jokes that are funnier than half the shit Richie says, but they just don’t get it and it’s so wonderful to me. He’s unreasonably logical as a kid, in a way that someone his age is not often like, and remains so as an adult. That logic is also very important to understanding his perception of the world; particularly Pennywise. He sees everything in a hard core realistic way and tries to rationalize everything that he perceives; in all three canons. He sees Judith from the painting or the kids in the Standpipe, or Pennywise in the book Mike shows them and literally thinks “that cannot logically have existed and therefore it did not happen” which is UNREAL for a KID. He can’t fathom something like Pennywise existing and it straight up offends him. In spite of his well founded fear of what he cannot rationalize, he is brave up against Pennywise. He uses reality and his disbelief of Pennywise’s illusions to fight back against It? He cares deeply about his friends and repeatedly his kindness towards the other Losers is shown. He has a straight up heart of GOLD. He likes to be in control of his emotions and the way the world works around him. He loves birds, which is just so soft and pure. He’s genuinely a goof ball, despite how serious and logical he can be. He is so sappy and romantic and loves pet names!! He’s humble as hell and so completely aware of his own flaws. I could literally wax poetic about him all damn day. 

least favorite thing about them: There is quite literally not a single thing I dislike about him. He’s perfect. He’s literally perfect.

favorite line: He doesn’t technically speak this, but it’s something he thinks in the book. I think about this passage a lot because a lot of people assume Stanley is not brave or he’s too afraid of It. But the reality is he’s offended by Pennywise and the mere idea of It existing. The offense of something that he cannot logically comprehend existing is what scares him. I think that’s a really important thing to note about Stanley Uris:

“You can live with fear, I think, Stan would have said if he could. Maybe not forever, but for a long, long time. It’s offense you maybe can’t live with, because it opens up a crack inside your thinking, and if you look down into it you see there are live things down there, and they have little yellow eyes that don’t blink, and there’s a stink down in that dark, and after awhile you think maybe there’s a whole other universe down there, a universe where a square moon rises in the sky, and the stars laugh in cold voices, and some of the triangles have four sides, and some have five, and some of them have five raised to the fifth power of sides. In this universe there might grow roses which sing. Everything leads to everything, he would have told them if he could. Go to your church and listen to your stories about Jesus walking on the water, but if I saw a guy doing that I’d scream and scream and scream. Because it wouldn’t look like a miracle to me. It would look like an offense.”

random headcanon: Ya’ll I have too many of these too so: His favorite bird is a warbler and his pet name of choice for his partner is ‘Dove’.

unpopular opinion: I think that even though Stanley is logical, mature, and intelligent, that doesn’t necessarily mean he excels at everything he does. I don’t think he is all around the most successful student, contrary to popular belief. I think the subjects that he excels in are areas like math (clearly). Subjects that have one strict, clear way to do things. Things like drawing, writing?? Nope. There are too many possibilities of words to combine to write essays, poems, or stories and so many different styles of writing and art. And, the perception of them being right/wrong or good/bad depends on the person as well. That’s not something I see being a strong suit for him.

@janehopperwheeler: My GIRLFRIEND (not really but basically tbh). I love her so much and since we have reconnected, she has really shown me how to love myself more and that I deserve more than I think I do. I really don’t know where I would be without her tbh. ANYWAYS! Her blog is full of so many beautiful things and she is in the IT/ST hell with all of us but is genuinely quality content and no drama. So I strongly recommend.👌🏻

ok super quick sappy post before S3 premieres.... I set up this blog about 7 months ago on a whim because of my intense love for this show (specifically mileven and el hopper) and because I finally got over being the shy outsider fangirl. I saw so much amazing creativity and love for this show that I just felt compelled to try.

Fast forward 7 months and here we are mere moments away from S3 after the most insane hiatus, waiting, hoping, longing. The difference? I have all of you, I have a blog I love and am super proud of, and I have some of the best friends I could have ever wished for. I’d have never dreamed that this amazing, lovely fandom would be so welcoming and supportive. I’ve truly met some of the kindest souls on the planet through this blog.

To anyone who supports my blog, thank you so so much, it means the world. To my girls, I love you just BEYOND. Beyond. You’ve made me feel so welcome and I am just bursting with love for you. To anyone who has fangirled with me the past year, I love you, thank you for keeping me sane. We’re about to see my baby girl thriving, and mileven who are going to end my life. TIME TO FLOAT.

Confession time, though! Tonight will actually be my second time seeing IT: Chapter 2! I was so truly blessed to be in a test audience to view the film back in July and was invited by @janehopperwheeler to go out to NY and see it with her and @let-me-go-its-ok . I had to keep quiet about it until now, which is why I hadn’t screamed about it, but!!! YEAH.

I loved it SO SO MUCH the first time and I’m ready to literally bawl my eyes out all over again tonight. I can’t wait for all your thoughts as well! 🎈 #LosersStickTogether
