An overview of Czech soldiers who died on missions in Afghanistan August 5, 2018 - Three Czech soldiers perished in the assault of a suicide bomber in Afghanistan, the General Staff of the Czech Army announced. The Czechs patrolled around Bagrám base in the province of Parvan. July 8, 2014 - Five Czech soldiers have been the victim of an explosion of an improvised explosive device near Bagrám in the province of Parvan. The attack on the site did not survive Sergeant Ivo Klusak, Corporal Libor Ligač, Corporal Jan Šenkýř and Deputy Secretary David Beneš, two Afghan policemen and several civilians. Mayor Jaroslav Lieskovan died of heavy injuries on July 14 at the Central Military Hospital in Prague. October 9, 2011 - Admiral Werner died in the military hospital in Olomouc, who was badly wounded in July in an attack on the Czech pre-basin in the province of Vardak. May 31, 2011 - In the province of Vardak, Czech soldier Robert Vyroubal died when he was driving his car on an improvised explosive device; an Afghan interpreter perished in an explosion, and two other soldiers were injured. April 30, 2008 - In the province of Logar, Czech soldier Radim Vaculík lost his life after he landed on a loaded truck; four other troops from the wagon were injured. March 17, 2008 - When suicide attack died Military Police Military Milan Štěrba; two soldiers were injured, one of them heavily. May 3, 2007 - Czech soldier Nikolai Martyn has prepared an avalanche of stones and mud for life in Badakhshan province; two other soldiers were injured.
