Jan 7 - baked a loaf of oatmeal bread. Technically the recipe is for a not-sweet raisin bread, but the first time I made it I missed the additions beeper so... no raisins. And it turns out to make an excellently firm sandwich bread, so I mostly make it without the raisins (and sometimes with a mixed rolled grains cereal instead of just oatmeal).

Found I was getting too annoyed in House Flipper about not being able to return to purchased lots I'd particularly liked my reno of after selling them (and there were several lots I regretted selling). Decided to start a new save and, since I already have the character specific sales achievements, just rent out places after fixing them up. Which means redoing a lot of the job quests to get back to where I was, but I can generally whip through those pretty quickly.

Just me for dinner so I made a small pot of barberry rice to have with the pork curry leftovers from last night.

Jan 8 - divided up and froze a bunch of bulk packs of meat the brother picked up (chicken breasts, assorted sausages).

For supper I did pasta with the last of the homemade tomato sauce, mild Italian sausages, and a salad.

extroverted folks scare me just bc of their sheer ability to feel energized from social interaction 😆 im like how do u have another friend over we just spent 2 days together and u still want to see me tomorrow too???? wow i feel like in theory i enjoy hosting and spending time with friends and chatting but in practice im just like 😐😐😐😐which is frustrating even for me😭 im v good i think at shortlived interactions like 3 hours and we’ll have the time of our lives but anything ongoing i start to break down

Jan 5 - more scanning and a little gaming.

Nephew nade a pan of pasta baked with tomato sauce, mozzarella, and sliced hot Italian sausage.

Jan 6 - yup, even more scanning plus minimal gaming. Also popped out to do groceries only to run into the subway temporarily going out of service due to an issue in the tunnels between Finch and Sheppard. Ended up grabbing some milk and snacks at a Shoppers Drug Mart instead.

Nephew and I did a fend night to use up some of the leftovers that had accumulated in the fridge. Made a sandwich of a leftover pork croquette, as the other options were spicy foods that I didn't feel like having.

Dec 7 - in a startling twist I, yes, did yet more scanning and some gaming. Also ran laundry, so I'll be ready to pack stuff tomorrow.

Nephew did pork chops, mashed potatoes, and mushrooms cooked with some stock and cream, while I used up a large leek by slicing it up, then sauteing it in butter and braising it with more of the stock.
