Jan 7 - Did two loads of laundry this afternoon, go me. Also have sourdough starter fed and fermenting away in the Instant-Pot, to make bread from tomorrow. I know I’ve mentioned it before, but the ‘low’ yogurt setting is awesome for keeping a starter at just the right temp in cold seasons. Have also decided it’s time to give the mason jar it lives in the fridge in between uses a wash, so that’s sitting full of water to soak overnight.

Jan 5 - more scanning and a little gaming.
Nephew nade a pan of pasta baked with tomato sauce, mozzarella, and sliced hot Italian sausage.
Jan 6 - yup, even more scanning plus minimal gaming. Also popped out to do groceries only to run into the subway temporarily going out of service due to an issue in the tunnels between Finch and Sheppard. Ended up grabbing some milk and snacks at a Shoppers Drug Mart instead.
Nephew and I did a fend night to use up some of the leftovers that had accumulated in the fridge. Made a sandwich of a leftover pork croquette, as the other options were spicy foods that I didn't feel like having.
Dec 7 - in a startling twist I, yes, did yet more scanning and some gaming. Also ran laundry, so I'll be ready to pack stuff tomorrow.
Nephew did pork chops, mashed potatoes, and mushrooms cooked with some stock and cream, while I used up a large leek by slicing it up, then sauteing it in butter and braising it with more of the stock.
