Time

The reason we despise our parents

It isn’t equations it ain’t the car trips

Where everyone just wants to talk,

But you just a kid, and throwin a fit

About all the shit

Cuz things that you think you deserve

Don’t come your way for the grades, they come only from verve

Because you when you inspire you use effect not just affect

Cuz you don’t try, you might lie but only to raise people up

Cuz bringing them down

Is how you get judged

You need to show love, before you can see

That beauty ain’t vistas it’s is food fights in kitchens,

Or maybe a flat in the rain, with the person you love,

Or the people you adore, “just a few more” at 4 in the morning when purging your purest thoughts, or your darkest worries, wanna get healthy but we all just snifflin, and passing, while coughin and there goes another pack

And the biggest thing that we all yearn for, is being secure on the front lawn, you’re almost 40 and your kids got kids,

And you might be old but you’d take on some more years, to steal them from your rents, and to see the people you’ve lost, and you’d all have a beer, and think it’s so queer, and maybe soul crushing but you learned your lesson the time now you own it, and your kids seem distant like when u in the car , with the head phones on, jammin something mad

It’s pretty fucking sad to think of how you viewed the fam, uncle Jonny drink allitle too much, aunt Shannon talks so damn much, I can’t stand the way that Paul talks to me,that cousin stares at me, you just Home in ya bed, playing games or drink Arizona’s with your friends ,

And damn if I could show me, way back when, the beauty in, a dinner with family when the times were tough, thanksgiving dinner just frozen ingredients no stuffing you laughing, because everybody’s there, with a smile on the face, taking a break from the world till Monday, just letting loose, and cracking the jokes all rolling the dice, getting real loud, everyone gets competitive, when nobody’s scared, and everyone’s listening and soakin up the stories and images, that you can’t say, that you were attending them, all of the days, missed out on for years, pretending that you aren’t the same, as everyone gets when they start learning, and tying their shoes, then wanting to pick them but you get some lame sneakers, borrowing money for movies and fast food,

ignoring the father who asks to go fishing, and hiking, some biking, but he isn’t bugging he actually knows and just wants to show

Now it’s your momma she says not to smoke, always saying you’re just skin and bones, or you need a run, she’s waning to do shit this fucking weekend, “wow this’ll be fun” and she understands, but it’s worth a try, maybe this weekend will show you that life means

Life means

Now you’re the old one and your son likes his game and his friends that all support the new trends,more than hot summer nights you try not worry, that he would’nt learn before you did, that he won’t feel the same regret you did, when you saw that you wasted your TIME, somepeople never will know that they changed your life, when you was a weirdo playing dinosaurs-with your cousin Forrest, and they said they were proud of you for apparent reason, but that you love to play in mud, and never lost a love, or an elder over summer when you just wouldn’t go and see them, man that shit is hardest, and so you get angry and start throwing names, cuz you’re just afraid you won’t be spendin time, as a guide not and instructor, watch them fall, pick them up when they’re super far down, but they’ll learn your mistakes and hope fully take, advantage of TIME, and see that the best way to take a break, cuz their kids is learning and that phone turned of just, a little more TIME, away from the world and finally see!

that they have the life, when you let it be, and always progress and don’t focus on stress, invite the whole family, and all of the friends, to burn some Kebabs and talk about how much you love old song, that always got played, like a corny theme song that everyone hates, but now you don’t worry, because you have some time, to do what you love and never give up on the people you loved, through rain, spliffs and stoges, they always just smile at you and give out some hugs, because we all learn it someday, and today you’re laying in your lawn soaking up the sun and just having fun

So try to remember that it’s not to late, to make up the TIME before you get to far into your own story, just try to be positive, cuz we’re all our best when we converse and relate, and all work towards enjoying life not always regretting it, spreading the love and trying to teach, not preach, it is quite the reach but maybe you speed up the process and he runs for congress or saves a new born, and just makes the world allitle more safe, cuz you are the power with time
