Be sure to catch Love, Romance & Chocolate on Saturday (HC) and the premiere of the new Chronicle Mysteries movie series on Sunday (HM&M).
There’s also a Puppy Love movie countdown of Valentine’s movies (because everyone loves not knowing what movies are airing and when) beginning Sunday afternoon.
They’ve announced the final movie to finish off March... A Brush with Love starring Arielle Kebbel (so happy to have her back on Hallmark!) and Nick Bateman (a Hallmark newbie... go take a look at his instagram if you’d like to see lots of pics of him shirtless and/or holding a baby).
As she considers giving up on her artistic dreams, Jamie paints a vision board that brings her success and love - only to discover that the mystery man in her painting isn't who she thinks.
The Nikki DeLoach and Michael Rady movie is now called Love to the Rescue, by the way.  I believe it was previously called Lost & Found.  Shoot... now all I’m going to think about are those Shriners Hospitals for Children commercials.

MEMETIEMZ!
(snagged from @roblivionchristmas <33333333333333)
name: Johnny
star sign: sagittarius
height: 5′11
put your music on shuffle, what are the first 6 songs that popped up?:
White Christmas- The Drifters
Cannonball- The Breeders
Like I Would (Rytmeklubben Remix)- Zayn
I Knew You Were Waiting (For Me)- George Michael &Aretha Franklin
Throw Your Arms Around Me- Hunters & Collectors
My Mistake- Split Enz
grab the book nearest to you and turn to page 23. what’s line 17?: (had to do pg 22, 23 was a photo page) “My lord these titles far exceed his worth.” - Queer Edward II, Derek Jarman
ever had a song or poem written about you?: No, but I’m happy to karaoke the shit out of any song with my name in!
when was the last time you played air guitar?: I’m an air drummer. *twirls invisible drumsticks*
who is your celebrity crush?: We’re gonna be here til next Christmas, so let’s go for the three who’ve been with me the longest- James Dean, Danny Miller, Jamie Campbell Bower.
what’s a sound you hate? how about love?: styrofoam sounds, AUUUUGH NO/leather jacket ‘creaking’ sounds AW YISSSSSS
do you drive? if so, have you ever crashed?: Nope, I don’t drive, but I have been in a very minor collision (snowstorm in Cincy, early 90s, the roads were a slip n’ slide the entire way home, we were stopped and got tapped by another sliding car)
last book you read?: Book I read all the way through (without a hint of brain-fog) was The Supernatural Enhancements by Edgar Cantero. That was in October of 2014. Yeesh.
do you like the smell of petrol?: Weirdly enough, I do. We used to take long car journeys when I was a kid, so we were always in and out at gas stations. It’s a nostalgia smell :)
what was the last movie you saw?: Scrooge (1970)
what’s the worst injury you’ve ever had?: The big three- got accidentally stabbed with a pair of sewing shears (age 10), stepped in a hole and snapped my ankle-had to get a surgical screw put in (age 13), accidentally tipped boiling hot soup into my lap, ended up at Shriner’s burn center with severe 2nd degree burns on my upper legs and a decent sized splash on my side (age 13 1/2). Puberty= loss of coordination= A BAD TIME.
do you have any obsessions right now?: Robron of course. But I’m also currently hypomanic, so Christmas is serving as a hyperfixation. *listens to Wizzard in a loop for 36 hours*
do you tend to hold grudges against anyone who’s done you wrong?: I don’t tend to hold too many grudges against RL folks, I usually just try to excise them from my social life. Like a boil. I do have a couple of men from my past who I genuinely, absolutely detest, but that’s less of a grudge and more of a ‘if I knew an actual warlock you would both be languishing as shit demons in a parallel dimension’
in a relationship?: been single for a few years, my current situation isn’t prime for casual dating (more’s the pity)

Today, the weather was really cold…lol..at least for South Texas.  lol.  We had several warm days this week, it reached mid 70’s.  It felt so so good.  Larry and Cici invited us to go to Brownsville to the Charro Days Fiesta Parade.  We decided to go instead of going to Progresso.
So we also decided to go to our other friends, Cheryl and Linda, (sisters), and install their new TV on Friday instead of Saturday.  They live at Tropic Winds which is by the Airport only about a mile away.  In the summer, they  live near Spring Valley Il.  which is near our home.  They are friends of our daughter Tammys.  Cheryl bought a new flat screen tv and need Rich to install it.  We drove up to their house and Rich installed the TV above their fireplace.   We had a nice visit with them and came home after dark.
So this morning we got up and Rich fixed breakfast.  Bacon, Eggs and toast….He makes breakfast most of the time.  lol   We walked over to Cicis, and left around 10 am.  The temperature was horrible.  We wore winter coats and brought umbrellas as rain was predicted.  Brownsville was only an hour away or less.  We were able to park about 3 blocks away.   They had rows and rows of chairs lining the streets.  They went in both directions for blocks.   They were rented for $3 a chair.  Now figure that up.   A nice little tidy sum, I believe.  lol.  After we picked out our chairs, we went into the nearest restaurant and had a light lunch.  It was so cold outside already.  Finally at 12:30 the parade started.
The parade has been celebrated since 1937.  Brownsville residents and visitors dress in the traditional costumes of Mexico and honor the Mexican cowboys — the Charros — who were heroes of the borderlands.   Charro Days  celebrate what made Brownsville unique: Its location on the border with Mexico and the rich cultural heritage enjoyed by Brownsville’s residents.  Over the years, Brownsville’s sister city of Matamoros has always been a key participant with Fiestas Mexicanas. In years gone by, international bridges were open during Charro Days, allowing family and friends to share the festivities. Even today, ties between the sister cities are celebrated each year with “Hands Across the Bridge”. In this ceremony of friendship, the mayors of Brownsville and Matamoros meet to officially began the celebrations.
The parade was full of floats with Mexican music,  live musicians and dancing lady’s,  all dressed in the traditional beautiful costumes.  Full of color and glitter.
They also had 2 floats from Adult Day Care Centers, with their clients on the float dressed in costume and waving.
Tumblr media
Their were many dancing Horses and others, just so beautiful.  Also some cowboys throwing their lassos and jumping through the loops.  Very Cool to watch…..
Several floats were from Matamoros Mexico, right across the Rio Grande. There were a huge display of Border Patrol agents.   Many of the cars and truck and Many of the agents walking the parade route.  They also had some of them on horses.
The Shriners Club were their and put on a nice display.
Tumblr media
Also some Harleys were their.  Some dressers and 3 wheelers.   Really nice……So finally it was after 2:30, it was raining.  We had the umbrellas out, and we were so so cold and wet.  We decided to leave after we seen #109 float.   They were still coming down the road.  Really a long parade.  So after a stop at Harbor Freight, we arrived home around 4:30.
Tumblr media
I would like to give you an Update on our Girls, staying in the Park.  Denim and Diamonds.   Georgina and Jami were Awarded the River Grand Valleys Best Group of the Year 2015.   They had their picture on the front page of the Winter Texan last Thursday.
Tumblr media
We put the front page on the Bulletin Board in the Office and Congratulated them.  They have been trying so hard to build their performance and they sure are.  They have been a great success, due to some pretty hard work.  They will be performing in Branson this summer, so if you happen to go, look for them as the duo or separately.  Georgina plays at the Uptown.  We are all proud to have them staying in our park.  We will be going to Tropic Winds on March 13th, to see them again.
Well tomorrow we will go to Progresso to do a little shopping…lol..(little white pills)….lol…The weather is suppose to be back in the 70’s…..Hate these waves of cold but, still better than up north.  I watch the weather from home and just shudder……..
“Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr”
We Went to Brownsville Texas today to the Charro Days Fiesta Parade…. Today, the weather was really cold...lol..at least for South Texas.  lol.  We had several warm days this week, it reached mid 70's.

 Hazel Handy, 95
Tumblr media
On April 30, 1924, it was reported there were twenty-six tornadoes that ripped through the country from Alabama all the way up to Virginia. In Wilkes County, a tornado of a woman, Hazel Higgins Handy, entered this world and was a force of nature to all she knew. She worked hard, played hard, but most importantly, she loved hard. Never having been one to focus on material wealth, she placed her values in those she held dear, and she was always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need.
She is remembered as a strong, independent woman who had a deep and unconditional love for her family that left a lasting impact on the ones she left behind. She raised more than her fair share of children, and she defended them with veracity of a mama bear. She never failed to give them a home filled with love and her country cooking. Fond memories are filled with family and close friends, sitting around the table playing cards or picking and singing, going to the local auction, or going on a camping trip to Cherokee with her extended family.
Laughter was always abundant with her sharp sense of humor, and she made sure no one left with an empty stomach. She touched the lives of all she met.
From the day she fell sick, she was never alone, surrounded by the family she held so dear.
Her passing was peaceful, and it was a warm, inviting day with a gentle breeze to reflect her kind and gentle soul. She now walks with those who went before her, her beloved husband, Ambrose, her two sons, Vade and Jackie Handy, her sister, Nellie and her brothers.
She will be missed dearly, but for those she left behind, they will carry on with the warmth in their hearts they learned from her. She leaves her younger brother Jim Higgins, eldest son, Wade Handy, daughter, Loretta Henson and husband Curtis Henson, daughter, Rosalee Mastin and husband Alan Mastin, youngest son, Paul Handy and wife Kathy Handy, three grandchildren, Melissa Shrewsbury and husband Jeremy Shrewsbury, Wesley Handy and Jacob Handy, and her two great grandchildren, Chelsee Adams, and Hayden Shrewsbury.
We will be waiting for the day when we can see her once again and feel the warmth of her love fill our souls. Until that day, we celebrate her life and remain thankful for the time we had with her.
A private family service will be held. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Wake Forest Baptist Health and Hospice, 126 Executive  Drive, Suite 110, Wilkesboro, NC 28697.
Miller Funeral Service is in charge of the arrangements.

2018 Mayakoba Golf Classic tee times, viewer’s guide
Source: GolfDigest By Christopher Powers
The PGA Tour makes its first of two stops south of the border this week for the Mayakoba Golf Classic held at El Camaleon Golf Club in Playa del Carmen, Mexico. The event, which began in 2007 as an alternate field event, became a FedEx Cup event offering full points and a Masters invitation to the winner in 2013. It has since produced a number of exciting finishes, including a playoff and a pair of one-stroke victories in the last five years, the most recent coming last year when Patton Kizzire edged out Rickie Fowler by a shot.
Both Kizzire and Fowler return to the field this year alongside a number of notable names including Jordan Spieth, who added the Mexico stop to his schedule to fulfill his minimum starts requirement. Spieth made his 2018-’19 season debut a week ago in Las Vegas and started strong, posting a 66 and a 68 to get into contention heading into the weekend. But he played his final 36 holes in one-over par, finishing in a tie for 55th. He’ll need to put four rounds together this week if he wants to get his season off on the right track, as 17 under or better has been the winning score here in each of the last five seasons.
Another to watch this week will be Cameron Champ, who was in the mix through 54 holes last week at the Shriners, but, like Spieth, struggled on Sunday, carding a two-over 73. He still managed to finish T-28, and once again showed why the hype is very real with some jaw-dropping drives that left him easy wedge shots into many of the greens.
Also in the field in Mexico are Tony Finau, PGA Tour Rookie of the Year Aaron Wise and reigning U.S. Amateur champion Viktor Hovland.
TV Schedule
The Golf Channel will carry live coverage Thursday through Sunday from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. ET.
