Reading adventures!
I...uh...somehow have 6 books going at once, lol. It started as a joke, but I got legitimately pulled into each new one I picked up.
I'm still reading Last of the Mohicans. I am finally over the half way point. It suddenly got very sad. I was not expecting the surrender of the fort. Heyward is very sweet in his devotion to Cora. I also wasn't expecting the book to get that dark. I'm unsure where the story is going from here, but I'm enjoying it.
I'm about 80% of the way through Lies of Locke Lamora. I had to take a mini break from Locke's shenanigans. What a reckless guy, lol. His strategy to get clothes from the Duke guy was very clever. I was really sad to see the twins and Bug get killed. I still don't think it was Locke's fault, although I really think he's dumb for attempting to go back to the Salvara heist.
I picked up The Maid and the Mansion first. I'm unsure if it is a murder mystery, or just a mystery. It's very lighthearted so far, although there seems to be some kind of mystery surrounding the mansion. I hope the romance that was hinted at will come to pass. They seem cute together.
I also picked up Oceans of Mercy. This is a Christian romance. It has hinted at a very sad backstory. It's friends to lovers, which is one of my favorite tropes. I like the main character Ally, although I hate that she is nicknamed Al. I'm enjoying the antics of her relatively big family. It's fun to read about a marine biologist, a field of study in which I have no experience or expertise.
I also picked up No Other Place on Earth. This is a historical fiction. It is set in pre-WW2 Europe and Israel. So far, there are three main characters-Shlomo, Miri, and David- each in a different place and with their own set of friends and family. I feel like it will become very difficult to keep them all distinct if I don't really pay attention.
Lastly, I picked up I Don't Have Enough Faith to be an Atheist. This is a non-fiction Christian apologetics book. I am excited to read this one and see the logical arguments the authors use. I have only read the prologue so far, and it seems very interesting.

Reading Adventures-The Last of the Mohicans
I'm on chapter 14 of The Last of the Mohicans. I'm still enjoying myself, however, it does drag a bit. They travel a bit, and then they get attacked and have to fight, and then they win, and travel a bit further. Still, I am enjoying the characters, and the banter and dialogue is interesting. I am only a bit over a third of the way through.
