Paul Young has an interesting discography and he still carries on with his music, though I would claim that Good Thing, his latest, might be a bit too much of that with the covers of his influences. While I would claim Paul Young continues to show he remains a great vocalist, I really wish more producers of different idioms would contact him, the record suffers from a return to form syndrome, since the LP belongs into the category of disc which many see as those where the musicians reach the comeback to their heights. Sadly, some of these don't achieve this lofty goal and Good Thing does feel like that. True, Paul Young makes us remember his early triumphs, yet he rarely uses any of the idiosyncratic elements of them, he merely does a fine facsimile of his successes.
