Heeseung: The day you were here, was the day of his accession. A crown prince who just became the king of his kingdom, since his father, the previous king got ill in his old age. Despite how fresh he was in this field, his father hired you as his assistant, a royal secretary, he knew that his only son could do everything but he was lacking in making decisions, and he needed some advisor to give him a path, which is you. A few years had passed, and his kingdom was doing well because they had Heeseung who was in charge as a King. But he's not doing it alone, all the royal assistants are included too, especially you. If you are not here with him, he'd make a mistake. His Nation keeps growing and developing however that's not the only thing that grows, his feelings for you are also growing. Ofc the rule can't be in love with a lower class like you but he can't stop the feeling, love is love, the fact that you're a boy, made it even worse nevertheless he doesn't give a damn about it, you make him this way, Love.

"Don't worry M/N, if I can't have you nobody will, and please don't push me away, I've loved you since the day you made my life easier, so please give me this chance to make me yours, and you're mine?" You stood on the spot, unable to open your mouth nor to make a move before a system popped out in front of you and announced "You've completed your secret quest: make King Lee fall for you!" What!

Jay: He'd be likely a Royal captain, a masculine man, who stood strong for his country, a bloody demon war who takes victory home every time. You were reincarnated into his student, a training soldier. However things are kinda complicated for you since this is back in the past, a historical world where they didn't have technology, everything was going along with tradition, religion, manners and behavior was a big problem if you did something wrong. Soon enough after half a year, you have become familiar with your life and now is a royal soldier just like what you had been trained for. You had participated in some war and gained a great experience from it which gives an impression to Jay. One day during the bloody time, Jay was in bad shape while fighting with the other captain, he couldn't move because of his wounds as a result he was on the ground right now, moving his body by using his hands. You too were in critical shape, or maybe even worse than him, blood stained all over your body, every corner however for the love of country, and to protect the captain, you're risking your life by shielding him with your body at the very last moment when the opponent drawing a sword toward Jay. A sword cut through your rib, blood dripping, but that didn't stop you, with a dagger in your hand, pressed through against your enemy too. In return them and you, fall to the ground, lifelessly. Jay's eyes wide open, speechless reaction can't even explain well before taking your body, holding you close to him. A captain never cries, but he might break this rule. He brawled his eyes out, and didn't give a fuck about his surrounding.

"Please stay with me, M/N!! you can't die you can't do that, it's my order!!" He shouted, couldn't accept what he'd witnessed rn. "I-- *coughing* have completed my mission -- my lord! My mission is to protect you at all costs, for now since you're okay I think I can close my eyes peacefully ever after... Thanks for everything Captain - Jay" "System: Mission completed!"

Jake: A cowboy from an unknown village, he's quite a popular guy in the town because of his handsome face. Every girl wanted him so badly that even their body, they can give it to Jake without hesitation. However all their doing is no effort to him, he's recently development his sexuality, and he has only a spot for men. Meanwhile, you are an odd boy, who has white hair with blue eyes in the village, which gives a reason for the people to hate on you because, at that time, something odd is what a demon does. On one fine day, while people are bullying you, throwing kinds of stuff at you, Jake suddenly appear and protects you from all those bad things before saying something to them, and they're gone in an instant. He asks if you're ok, you just reply with a dry response since you don't trust people for now. He Pause for a moment to appreciate your beauty while you reply to him, then snap out after you ask him again. He rubs his nape, asking you if you want to be his friend so he can protect you, you decide to give in and accept his request because he's the only one who cares about you. Day by day passed, he taught you about people's daily life, what should they do, what should they eat, blah blah as well as took you to a different place, the sea, the mountains, a place where you never wanted to visit before. In the end, you fail to keep your feelings and make a decision to confess your feelings to him. Under the starry night, watching the shooting star, both of you sitting beside each other, admiring the night galaxy, he doesn't say anything back once you tell him how you feel toward him. Before letting out a relieved sigh, speak.

"I've been waiting for that line for how long, I like you at the very first sight but I choose to make you confess to me first darling~" "mission: ___✓___"

Sunghoon: You and him are childhood friends, but you don't remember anything since you're just reincarnated into this boy's body which you assume, is a prince. Sunghoon is also a prince so it makes sense that both kingdoms are in a good relationship together. Soon enough, Sunghoon's kingdom is throwing a ball party, his father already has a plan, to find a suitable princess for him by doing this. Sunghoon didn't like it, to say that he freaking hate it, he don't want nobody, he don't need a wife, he don't want to start a family, he want to be free and not follow the king's path, he don't want to be a king. The queen tries to convince him, but nothing will do, he's a man of his word, whatever he spitted he'd never swallow it back. You arrived at the ball, in your nice-looking royal designer suit. You look around trying to find your childhood friend, and then suddenly someone pulls your hand before taking you away to a quiet place. You try to release yourself from this person's grip but fail eventually because of how strong he is, even his face you can't see it. When both of you reached the private place, he immediately stopped, and released your hand before turning around, revealing his face, Park Sunghoon! You question him why did he this before he kneeled and cried, at your knee. You began to panic and asked him why. Why? "Your Highness, you can't do this please stand up, if people see you like this, they might assume things!!" You speak, with your shaking voice, the feeling of scared washing all over your body. "M/n...*sobbing* my father and mother want me to get married, I... I don't wanna do this anymore, I wanted to be free, please tell me m/n what should I do!?" He continues to tear apart, you've never seen him in such a state before. "Your Highness, we can settle this in the Palace, we can't talk about something like this here!" You respond, however, it's didn't work."I don't want anyone but you, I want only you m/n! I know it's crazy to love someone who's the same sex as you but I can't help it... And please d-don't leave me ×2 you are the only one I needed the most" the last sentence when he said that, draws attention to you, making you wonder why in the world he said that. "Pardon your highness I don't understand what you're trying to say... I'm not going anywhere! I'm here" You become all sweaty, there's no way he knows who you are.

"I discovered your diary m/n I know everything, even if your mission had been completed some time ago, just please promise me you won't go anywhere, I LOVE you!"

Sunoo: Sunshine Boy would be the innocent, gorgeous, pretty face, and the son of a rich family in the town. He likes flowers, perfume, accessories, and many nice things that scream pretty! But besides his innocent looking and behavior, he had two faces, where the other one is purely evil, and got in his way, making him pissed off, in the next day there'll be a funeral in the town. However despite this personality, he does it for good, he only bullies those bad, pervert guys who take advantage of the girls. When you were doing your quest during the day, walking through the market in full black, his eyes landed on you, while he was doing his business. He thought you were one of those guys, so he began to follow you until both of you, reached the dark alley. You notice someone is following you, so you quickly hide yourself in the shadows. While he was looking for you, you suddenly appeared behind him and asked in a creepy tone why is he here. But the man was too starlet to the point he almost peed himself, so you took off your hood and revealed your face, which calmed him a little bit because of your kind-looking face or maybe not. He and you exchange information together and soon enough he realizes what you're doing, is the same as him so he wants to team up with you to take out the bad guys in the town for humanity together. You didn't deny it since it's a part of your mission too. A mission together with him every night is like a new experience with you, you get to know a lot of things in this world, how the system works and many more that have shocked you. Later on, one day after putting the bad guys in the cage, at midnight with him, both of you sitting on the clock tower, you know how huge it is. Eating your dinner while he steals a glance at you, makes you wonder after all the work with him, as a duo did he feel the same feeling you just discovered? Probably not, you thought this world was so close-minded about having a relationship with the same sex so you decided to not let any word out of your mouth even though you wanted to. Little did you know, he also felt the same way, he also found out he was drawn toward you, the word I like you is not enough to explain his love for you, he likes you... A little bit much. "M/n? Can I ask you something? Don't be mad at me ok? I'm being honest" he said, looking at the moon, that shining bright. You nod, waiting for his response. "It's crazy we've done this together many times and I feel like this part of me still wants you to be here, working with me for all the innocent live here but I think it's got a bit worse than I thought, I don't think you as a partner, I think you are more than a partner to me, more than a friend, and I'm sorry to feel this way, it's ok if you don't feel the same way, I just feel a pressure in my chest if I don't let it out-" he pauses before continuing.

"I like you m/n even though we just met a few months ago, i like you so much that I dream about it, i like you-" You couldn't bear all his heart confession and didn't want to keep him, thinking you didn't feel the same, you cupping his face before slamming your lip against his, his eyes wide open like he was just seen a ghost, then he realized what you mean before returning your kiss, smiling during the kiss. Maybe this mission isn't bad after all.

Jungwon: A young farmer boy who likes taking care of his animals and farm. He is a normal civilian just like everybody, people love him because of how adorable he looks, especially his charm, and dimples. When he discovered you lying down lifelessly on the street while he coming back home, he immediately picked you up, carried you to his house and took care of your injury. You were thankful that there are some kind people here, in this world you're assigned into You thought you would die on that street, freezing to death already but guess fate won't let you die this easy. At the time of his taking care of your sickness, he gave all his might to treat you until you recovered. Again after you have recovered, you thank him for being there for you when you were at your lowest point, and will do anything to pay back for his kindness. He smiled softly at your statement but he said it's fine, he doesn't need anything back, and he likes to see people happy. Once you hear that You just want to give him everything in the world for him, everything he wishes for, however at the moment you don't have anything with you, only yourself with his clothes on that he gives you. You have no better idea, but a hug for him is the least you can do right? You figured it out and decided to give him a tight hug, giving him all the warmth and kindness back to him. His gaze grew soft before resting his chin on your head, giving you the hug you wanted. You keep on giving him your squeezing hug until a system box pops in front of your eyes.

"Secret mission completed: you just made someone fall in love with you!"

Ni-ki: In the third POV, he would be a young pirate, despite his young age, he has been traveling across the sea for his entire life now, so his experience on the water is unstoppable and god-like. He had destroyed hundreds of hundred boats in the past few years, for now, he's the captain of his ship, a fear pirate whom everyone's Afraid of. He doesn't know what's the word rest or sleep since he always pulling all-nighters almost every single day, a part of him said he can't blink or else. In the course of fishing, his worker spotted you lying on an empty log, floating around the ocean, Ni-ki might be a heartless and cruel person but he was once in your shoes, and he didn't want to repeat it just like his ugly past, so he take you in on his ship. Later than for the last few months, you choose to work for him to survive and it's also your mission to do this too, and you didn't know for how long. It's a bit strange that your system didn't show or give information to you, therefore you don't give much care about it, it's better to be alive than die on this wide ocean. While you're staying on this ship, you like to write everything down in your diary book, even your past life and your mission here in this world you are in. One time you were drunk after drinking all the wine, and accidentally burst into the pirate's room because of your vision. You plop down on his bed, as you thought it was your bed, Ni-ki just sitting at his workplace, legs crossing, watching you intensely Before hearing your mumble words about your life and your mission. The next day, while you were moping the floor, he unexpectedly revealed himself behind you, an evil smirk growing on his face he liked teasing you. When you notice his presence, you lower your head as a sign of respect before greeting him a good morning.

"It's a beautiful morning isn't it m/n? Haa... I wish you could stay longer here with me" he spoke, trying to sound oblivious. "my lord, what do you mean by that?" You nervously respond while holding on to the mopping broom tightly. "Don't act dumb kitty, I have gone through all your dairy book, and your make-no-sense words last night when you were drunk, now that I got all the missing pieces, I finally get it, don't worry m/n! Once you step your foot here, you can't leave this ship until the day we grow old together, and Don't even think about leaving, if you don't want me to do something on you~ my sweetheart!"

'Cause shade never made anybody less gay so (Jake Lockley X GN!reader)

Week 4: Food, fashion, fun

A/N: Thanks to @midgardian-witch and @ominoose for help coming up with drag queen names For @romanarose 's Pride event!

“Jake c’mon we don’t wanna miss the show!” they excitedly jump up and down, they had been having a great time at the local pride fest. They were covered head to toe in rainbow merch, they had even convinced Jake to let them pin some rainbow pins and ribbons to his hat, he's also wearing so many Mardi gras beads that its giving his neck a work out.

“Muy bien, vamos!” he laughed, he loved how excited they were for this, they had been in a bit of a slump recently, a mix of their work and personal life were rather taxing on them as of late, so this one day out at pride was exactly what they were looking for. A chance to have fun, to be themselves and not worry about the outside world. As they approached the stage they both found a place to sit in the amphitheater. They watch the act that was currently on finish their routine and exit the stage. As they do the MC, a drag king in an ill-fitting suit, Dark eyeliner and a pencil mustache walks on the stage.

“Please give your warmest regards to the duo, Lola Lavish & Pippa Pizazz!! I see we have some new faces in the crowd so let me introduce myself again, I’m Vin Dictive, No really that’s my name, Although, I am know to be hell bent on revenge on occasion.” Jake let out a laugh along with the rest of the crowd. Vin Dictive gave a exaggerated bow to the laughter. “Thank you, Thank you! Now as a quick reminder this show is for charity, so all our tips today are going to The Trevor Project, so please tip our good performers in good faith, and good money.” There was a cheer from the crowd and Vin gave a big simile. “Alright you’ve heard enough of me yapping, lets give it up for our next performer…Marry Golds!”

As Vin dictive left the stage a song began to play as the blonde haired, er wigged? Jake wasn’t sure what the right term was, either way She entered the stage lip syncing to the song and doing some rather impressive choreography.

“You are somebody that I don't know, But you're taking shots at me like it's Patrón, And I'm just like "Damn, it's 7:00 a.m."

They leaned over and whispered in Jakes ear. “I think you’d make a really great drag queen Jake.” He chuckled.

“Yeah? You think? What would I call myself Senorita Tortilla?” he asked with a laugh. "Hola Soy Senorita Tortilla!" He said with a tip of his cap. they burst out laughing

“I donno that’s a pretty good name.” they gave him a smile, before returning their gaze to the performance. As the Drag queen came to the edge of the stage they stood up and held up a five dollar bill, which the drag queen took with a flourish, blowing a kiss in their direction before continuing the show. Jake gave them an affectionate look as they sat back down. “What? It’s for charity.” They said laughing.

“Of course, of course. I was just thinking how cute you looked up there.” He gives them a little nudge. They blush slightly, Jake couldn’t help but smile. He was glad they made time to do this. They looked so happy, and it was a lot of fun. He at some point forgets to watch the drag queen, focused on how they danced along to the song.

“Like, can you just not step on our gowns? You need to calm down.” They sing along with the ending before looking over at Jake with a smile. “What is it now Lockely?”

“Te amo, Mi amor.” He said softly. They look at him with a soft smile.

“I love you too. So much.”

1- When did you start playing Choices? What was the first book you played?

I started playing Choices in 2017-ish, I don’t remember what my first book was for sure but I remember the first book I played that really drew me in and got me into the app was The Elementalists.

2- When and why did you join Choices fandom?

I don’t think I really joined the fandom until…a few weeks after that mass cancellation announcement where they announced they’d cancelled It Lives 3, Elementalists 2, Nightbound 2, Hero 2, and RoD 2.

3- How did you pick your blog name?

Originally it was a mashup of my dead name and a sweet nickname from my childhood, so when I came out I just changed it to incorporate my new name instead :)

4- Pull up the first post in your archive, and tell us about it!

It was a repost of this screenshot and honestly I was right and should say it. Also this question taught me the archive feature existed so thank you that’ll come in handy lmao

5- Do you write fanfiction, create fan art, or are you one of those really gifted people who do both?

I write fanfiction! I am trying to learn and practice art so who knows what could happen in the future. Oh and I also do lots of edits :)

6- How long have you been creating for Choices and for any other fandoms?

If we’re talking my true origins I actually started writing by writing Supernatural x reader fics in like 2017, but I didn’t start writing the fics I write now until Sanders Sides in 2019 and then I finally got around to Choices in about 2022 lmao. 7- What is your favorite Choices book, and what is your favorite Choices book to create for?

My favorite book is probably ILITW which is probably obvious, but as for my favorite book to CREATE for that’s tied between It Lives Within and BOLAS.

8- Share your first Choices fanfic or fan art that you posted with us. Do you still like it, or would you change it if you were creating it today?

My first fic was for Nightbound, called The Wrong Engagement. I still like it overall but I think I’d definitely change some things. When I first started writing for Choices I was so so focused on trying to keep MC as vague as possible while still giving them some character, so the stories often came across as bland or even boring.

9- What is your favorite piece of fiction or art that you created?

My absolute favorite fic is actually something I don’t think I ever posted, but my favorite I’ve posted has probably gotta be a classic which is Val’s Resurrection. There are definitely some things I’d probably change now but it’s the longest fic I’ve written, still really holds up, and I’m really proud of the characterizations in it.

10- Do you have a fic/art that you didn’t expect to be well received, but it was? What about one you expected to do well but found it could use a little more love?

Walls of Regret is probably my biggest fic ever and let me tell you when I posted and wrote it I did not expect it to do as well as it did but I’m so glad it did. I can definitely think of some fics I think people would really like that didn’t get much love, including pretty much everything from the Windverse, but I gotta say Let The Shadows Fall Behind You, which is a fic/scene from my personal ongoing project, a Hero and Endless Summer Crossover

11- If you could write only angst, fluff, or smut for the rest of your writing life, which would it be and why?

Angst, wholeheartedly, no hesitation. Angst is not only my talent but kind of what I’m known for. I actually kind of struggle to write fluff and ESPECIALLY smut. I’ve only done it a few times and it took days of me staring at the page for days and getting out maybe one sentence an hour.

12 - Do you ever recognize yourself in any of your MCs or in your writing?

Oh all of them. Every single MC has a little piece of me, whether it’s my experiences or my personality or my style or my interests or even the way I talk.

13 - What element of writing/art do you struggle with most?

With smut at least I get ideas. I struggle so much with even getting ideas for fluff. My favorite things is to dive into the emotions and pain and trauma PB dance around, and finding the beauty in the dark things. I defer to the other amazing writers on this app for the fluff and I consume their fluff fics like a drowning man

14 - Do you have any neglected work you really want to finish?

Two things off the top of my head. My concept for a Hero sequel which includes an Endless Summer crossover. I mentioned that earlier. The second is something fondly called Into the Rowan-verse which was where my two ILW MCs, Castor and Julian, get stuck hopping through the multiverse and meeting a bunch of other people’s MCs.

15 - If someone you know in real life (who isn’t involved in fandoms) asked to see your work, would you let them? If yes, what would you show them first?

It highly depends on the person and then from there I think I’d just show them my edits or character profiles because my fics you tend to need either full contextual knowledge or at least basic knowledge of the book.

16 - Are there any writers (published authors and/or fanfic writers) who influenced your writing or art? Are there any artists that influence you?

Published writers definitely Rick Riordan, he’s seriously influenced how I use character voices. But from the fandom my biggest inspirations right now are usually @aces-and-angels and @oh-so-you’re-a-nerd

17- Which one of your stories would you most like to see as a movie/series?

If I saw Into the Windverse does that count as cheating? But otherwise I’d die for my version of the It Lives Anthology (including ILW and Into the Rowanverse) to be made into a tv show with my headcanons, changes, and MCs.

18- Do you write original fiction or create non-fandom art?

I do! I have an entire book trilogy fully plotted out that I’m working on writing, plus just writing a bunch with my own OCs.

19 - What other hobbies do you have?

Pretty much just OC related things tbh. I watch tv a lot and YouTube, I play video games sometimes, and I listen to music ALL the time

Total Recall || Duskwood Jake x Fem!Mc Oneshot ||

A/N: Hello lovelies! 😊 Well, I haven't been active much here lately, my life is a bit hectic these past few months, but I'm still here! 😁 And it's been quite a while since I wrote anything, so I really hope you will somehow find this acceptable/likeable in any way. 💚

As always don't mind my crappy title 😅, and don't mind any mistakes you might stumble upon. Take care and happy reading! 💚

WARNINGS: Huh, I don't really know if I should use some special warning here, I haven't really needed it so far 😅 But lets say it does have some descriptions that are slightly "mature" 😶 So there, you have been warned! 👍

When her eyelids slowly opened, all she saw was darkness. Unmoving her head from the pillow, her eyes jump around it until her sight landed on a shy streak of light coming through a small crack in the curtains pulled over the window.

It appeared as it was night time, at least she suspected so. And as her vision almost entirely adjusted to the darkness and the soft breeze from the outside stirred the curtains, allowing her a short but clear sight of a starry night sky, there was no more doubt about it.

But something wasn't quite right in all this.

She did love the calmness of a night time, but she never felt quite serene surrounded in complete darkness, her fingers almost instantly reaching for the switch of her night stand lamp whenever she would wake up in the middle of the night, like now. So why did it feel different this time?

As her mind tried to figure out the cause of this sudden change at her usual behaviour, she suddenly became aware of something else - she wasn't alone in the bed. There was unmistakable presence of another person, the closeness of their body radiating the heat over the bare skin parts of her back.

But she wasn't alarmed about it, not at all. On the contrary, she was so seren, that feeling only getting stronger as her thoughts finally arranged themselves and a blissful smile begin to form on her face.

With as less commotion possible she leaves the bed, her bare feet impressively silent crossing the room over the old creaky parquet to the window. Parting the curtains just so enough light enters the room she turns, her heart skipping a beat as her sight falls on the person occupying the other side of the bed.

Jake was there soundly asleep, the strands of his pitch-black hair lying messy around his head and pillow. Her fingers wiggle of their own will then, her mind recalling how just recently her hands were moving through that same pitch- black, her lean fingers tangled in those same messy strands, and how silky it felt under her touch.

Her eyes move, this time stopping and lingering on his slightly plump lips. As in a trance she lift her hand, her fingers lightly resting on her own much thiner ones, slowly start to move to her neck, continuing over her breast and belly, retracing just a small path his soft lips took just hours ago. A warm breeze from the window graze her skin, her whole body shivering from the memory of his warm breath accompanying that every kiss, her skin burning and body hungrily arching for more under him as he continued to explore every part of her, her head spinning every time he came near her most sensitive parts.

As her eyes continue to move over him, she recalls everything: how his strong hands delicately glided over her bare skin as if affraid that they could hurt her, yet at the same time weren't affraid to grab her tighter in the much needed moments; how her own hands greedily grasped for him, pulling him as close to her possible, with nails digging at his skin in the times of high pleasure. How their bodys amazingly fitted together, their every move perfectly synchronized, or how the sounds of pleasure were equaly heard leaving both of them.

"Mc? Is everything all right?"

Jake's hoarse and sleepy voice reach her ears, but she was still in her trance state, she didn't really register him speaking to her.

After few more unsuccessful tries to get her attention, he quickly gets out of bed and almost runs to her.

"Mc, what's wrong, what happened?"

The panic in his voice was evident, and when he put his hands on her upper arms and notice her shivering, that panic only rose.

"Oh gods, Mc, you're shivering! What is going on?!?"

Blinking a few times, she finally wakes out of her trance and looks puzzled at him "Jake, wha- what's going on? Why are you looking at me like that?"

"I'm sorry, you're asking me what's going on?" he questions looking equally, if not more confused back at her "I wake up to you standing in front of the open window with this- this sheepish look on your face, and when I spoke to you, few times might I add, you were silent. And then I near you and realise you are shivering like a leaf on the wind in the middle of summer..."

"All right, all right, I get it, no need to be so dramatic." she cuts him casually, peck him on the cheek and starts going back towards the bed.

"You gotta- dramatic? I'm being dramatic? I think you got things waaaay wrong here." he defiantly replies crossing his arms in front of him.

"Awww, come on babe, are you really gonna get so much pouty at me now?" she teas back, only getting him more irritated.

"Now I'm pouty! Well, excuse me for worrying about you!"

"Oh, don't be like that." she says apologetic "You know I love you for being concerned about me, but there is nothing to be concerned about here, really."

"Is that so?" he speak back not completely believing her " All right then, if you say so. But, I would still like to know what the heck did happen to you just now."

Realising he won't drop this until she gives him more concrete answer she sighs "Total recall."

"I'm sorry, but did- did you just say 'total recall' ?"

She just nods getting even more confused look back from him "I'm sorry, but what in the hell does a 1990's movie with Arnold Schwarzenegger has to do with all this?"

"Huh?"

Now it was her turn to be confused but he starts to speak again before she had a chance to even think straight, let alone say anything else.

"Or were you refering to the remake with Colin Farrell maybe?"

He was so serious, that it took her a moment to compose herself, before her laughter boomed through the room.

"Wonderful, and now she's laughing like a madman at me."

He looked completely defeated by now, but she couldn't stop laughing. Pulling all her strenght in the effort to stop, she get up and walks to him " Oh you silly man. I'm not laughing at you."

But when he only gave her a stern look with a raised eyebrow she barely managed not to start laughing again.

"Ok, ok, let me explain, yeah?"

"Please do, enlighten me, as I'm clearly clueless here about everything."

Taking a deep breath to make sure she won't start laughing again she begins "Ok, so first, you did hear me correct, I did say total recall. But..." she quickly continue as he was about to comment on it " BUT, I wasn't refering to any of the things you mentioned."

"What I was refering to, and I realise now how my choice of words was maaaaaaaybe slightly confusing to you, was that my mind was recalling on the total events of earlier tonight."

The confusion was back on his face again "The events of earlier?"

"Yes, babe. You know, what we did earlier... tonight...in the bed...and the shower...and-"

"And the kitchen table..." he continues thoughtfully for her, and when he finally realised what she was talking about, his features change and a sly smirk starts to form on his face.

"You know" he begins, wrapping his hands around her and pulling her closer "remakes are rarely any good, but maybe we should test that theory, you know, just to be sure."

"You know what" she starts placing her hands around his neck "I think you're absolutely right here - we should definitely test that theory."

"Then we should waist no time and get on with the testing." he grins at her "Care to choose the first spot for it, my dear?"

"Oh, I say we just stay here. This rug feels pretty soft under my feet, if you get what I mean." she grins back and wink.

"Oh, I get you, darling" he leans to her ear, his warm breath on her neck once again making her whole body shiver "I totally get you."

Ch.3 Fled

pairing: Jake x MC named nellie

A/N: sorry got bored to change the Name to Y/N or M/C. I don't remember if there are any warnings cause its been centuries since i wrote it. It will be continued to Moonvale too but rn its just Duskwood so no spoilers.

Jake Donfort

Everything went by too fast, the explosion the fire. I was holding Nellie one moment and then next I felt the blast. My back crushed on the stone wall of the mine. My vision was blurry and my ears had an unbearable ringing I couldn't get rid of. I realized my grip was empty, I wiped my eyes trying to get a clearer sight on my surroundings, I was looking for Nellie, my heart beating so fast at the thought of her being injured.

I walked closer to the blocked corridor, there was too much dust, the blast boosted us to a wall so she must be close to a wall, I thought as I stumbled around to closest wall. I was coughing as I kneeled to the ground in order to breath better as the dysphoria on my chest was getting worse, those thoughts though disappeared once I saw her laying on her chest, unmoved.

"Nellie... Can you hear me?" I asked her as softly patted her shoulder. I took her hand my fingers tracing her wrist for a sign of pulse. I thought of how soft her hands were and how cold. She must have been freezing all this time, I pondered, she didn't have a jacket.

I didn't receive an immediate response and I was already started panicking at the lack of life signs until I heard her groan. "Hey take it easy." I commented as she made an effort to sit up on her forearms.

"Jake?" she asked between coughs as she turned on her side carefully to sit up. She raised her gaze up to look at me, I could see her struggles to move. The blast was tough, I got her under the shoulders and helped her sit up, it must have been uneasy as she let out a groan of pain.

"Nellie, your head." I spoke, I was shocked at the amount of blood that flooded her hair and dripped down her forehead I took off my scarf and wiped the blood from her skin. She winced as she seemed unsteady. I could see her eyelids closing slowly and I immediately shook her. "Tell me, how are you feeling" I asked her as she made an effort to look up to me, as a result she almost fell forward.

"Like- Like a bucket of roses was poured on me." She replied and snorted through her giggle, she was so witty and charming even now. I was to tell her to be serious when the mine tunnels sounded to crack.

"Nellie listen to me. I need you to hug me around my back." I requested as I placed my back pack on the front of my chest. I kneeled in front her. Nellie seemed to respond as I felt her weight shift on me. I reached on my back and wrapped her arms around my neck as her legs were on my waist. "Good girl, now please can you talk to me?" I asked and then stood up. She was taller than she looked, I could feel her shallow breaths as her chest moved against my back. She laid her head on my shoulder as her hair fell on my arm, tickling my skin as I walked to the ladder.

"Am I your good girl?" Nellie asked me, her voice sounded shallow and raspy as I felt her grip tighten both over my waist and over my neck the moment I started climbing. This meant that even if she had a concussion it was a mild one she had sense of her environment and situation.

"I meant the last message I sent Nellie" I responded, I didn't want to speak to maintain my energy for until I climb to the surface, therefore it was impossible to not reply to her.

"I like the way my name sounds with your voice" Nellie remarked and a moment alter I felt her fingers slowly stroke my neck, her face moved slowly on the crook of my neck hiding it in there, her cold face made me shiver as I was feeling scorching warm.

"And I like the way your fingers touch my skin" I replied with a heavy breath. We were half way, I expected her to reply, however Nellie didn't speak I felt her grip loosen. I quickly hooked my elbow to the shaft and held her arm over my shoulder. "Nellie!" I exclaimed and tried to shake her. I felt my prior stress blossoming into panic. Just in the potential of dropping her I felt my knees go numb.

"Sorry, sorry, I am here" Nellie exclaimed back seconds later but those seconds seemed an eternity to me.

"Thank god, you gave me a scare... Can you please talk to me while I climb?" I requested and stroked her hand as she got a hold of me once again.

"Uh sure, I didn't lie you know?" Nellie spoke. "I am from a city near by called Hillsview town, it is on the mountains above Duskwood. I normally live in Cambridge, studying forensic science, I came here cause my sister is a major here." She explained, her tone was apologetic.

"Really, United Kingdom is rather far." I commented, I only realized now that we were so close to each other we have been this whole time.

"Last semester is the next one. I am taking my degree." Nellie spoke, I could sense her pride. I imagined she was a straight A student, she did have the wit and intelligence of one.

"That is nice. Do you have any plans?" I asked her, I forgot our situation and this chitchat, truly calmed me down, made the climb easier even.

"That depends on you Jake." Nellie replied. "My head is getting heavier." She informed me as she placed it on my shoulder again. "I feel so- so dizzy."

"Hey hey Nellie, we are almost up" I spoke and I increased the rhythm of climbing as I could feel her limbs start turning loose, it felt like time was passing by slowly, I could feel her slipping away, her fingers gripping my shirt in an effort to keep herself hung on me. Thankfully I reached top and got her wrist. "Nellie!" I exclaimed loudly as she hanging to the void. She was unconscious and I could tell now. I was staring down trying to brainstorm a way to get up there when I saw a shadow over my head.

"This Duskwood police chief, Alan Bloomgate." He identified himself and I felt a shot of relief.

"Sir, I have the girl, Nellie, she is unconscious, and I could really use your help." I explained quickly and the officer seemed to take me seriously and I couldn't feel more glad. Not for a moment I was scared of the FBI may get me. I was grateful she would be safe within seconds. I pulled her by the wrist as much as I could and Bloomgate leaned over me and took a hold of her body.

"You know the FBI is here, I believe you are the target?" He asked me, it was unexpectedly straightforward question.

"Positive" I replied almost immediatelly as he was getting Nellie outside. I followed him by climbing. I kneeled next to her checking her pulse. I took off my jacket and wrapped her body with it, she was freezing.

"If I were you I would leave, do not worry about her. I will have an ambulance and notify the rest of your friendgroup, Take Nellie's bike I am sure she will not mind." Bloomgate spoke and I nodded. I didn't say anything I only planted a kiss on her head before I took off running to the point he highlighted. I felt like a coward, I wished I was there with her, protect her, help her recover. I realized how many little details of her I am ignorant of, like what she likes, and what she was studying. But if I stayed now a future with her would be out of the question as I would only be a prisoner of the Feds...

I fled.

The concept of this song drives me absolutely INSANE and is one of my all-time favorite songs for this reason.

The concept is that maybe not in this lifetime, but somewhere out there in an alternate universe, in another dimension, there's a timeline where you'll never be apart, where you'll be together. Where things work out. Where in this lifetime maybe there's tragedy, but in another lifetime, you're mine. And if that isn't Xavier x MC I don't know what is.

The reason they say "Where berenstein is fine" is because of the whole theory of the mandala effect and if you don't know you should definitely look it up, it'll make much more sense! The mandala effect comes about because everyone seems to have a collective memory of something that never happened (in the songs case its the pronunciation of Berenstein/Bernstein), but people think it's result of a parallel universe? Anyway. It's tragic and beautiful and reminds me of MC having some vague recollections.

Who I am now?

Author's Note: This story contains mature themes and different view of our hacker boy. No spoilers or anything. Just starting a short story and hope to get y'all little precious opinions.

Prologue.

I adjusted my dress strips, using the help of the mirror infront of me.

"You look good, Mc." Dan commented as he wandered into the room, suited in black as usually. I thanked him with my eyes, still focusing on my reflection in the mirror.

I tried to smile in the mirror but failed. The empty feeling inside me was horrible to handle. Everyone was happy after Hannah got returned back home. Nobody knew what happened to Jake or even Richy. Jessy got over it after a while for her friends sake. But I know she's just as empty as I am.

"You look distracted, what's bothering you?" Dan grinned, laying on my bed unbothered about everything.

"No I'm fine." I swallowed and forced a smile to him. Smoothing my strand of hair behind my ear, I took a deep breath.

It's going to be okay, you're going to be okay, Mc.

Just smile at them...

After smiling so hard that my teeth and cheeks hurt. I decided to retire to my room for a quick break from too cheerful Jessy and others. As I walked across the hall. My eyes noticed a new person entering inside the house. A tall man figure in a fitting black clothes and a slight smirk prominently fixed on to his face as he looked around. No one really noticed him as they were drinking and dancing with Hannah. His eyes landed on me, and his eyebrows quirked up. I was way too tired to even recognize the man and walk inside my room. Closing the door behind me, my fake smile faded and I contemplated whether should I cry again in the bathroom for a few minutes and then go back to the party or lie to them that I feel ill and sleep throughout the rest of the night.

The door opened behind me before I could make up my mind. I looked over my shoulder to see the same man standing in the doorframe.

"You are?" I tried to sound polite enough but my face gave away my irritation.

"Someone." The guy brushed off my question and looked around the room casually, eyeing the window in particular.

"Sorry, this is my room. I don't know you, and I don't know how my friends allowed you to come here but get out." I spat out, looking away from his side.

Sound of something snapping made me look at him and notice the new intem in his hand. He was holding a gun, pointing it directly at me.

"What do you want?" I swallowed looking at him in fear. "Don't startle the intruder, any sudden momevents could get you killed." I remembered Dan's words. It was probably the first and last time I bothered to listen to him.

"Drop to the floor and keep your hands above your head - don't scream and don't move." The guy ordered coldly with blank stare.

I quickly did what I was told. The fear reverberated throughout my entire body. I pursed my lips into a straight line, my breath hitched in my throat as the guy stepped forward. I was staring at the floor as the man kneeled down in front of me.

"Okay, so we have to fucking talk, I'm not going to hurt you. I'll keep my gun on the floor so don't freak out on me-"

I screamed immediately when I saw the gun set on the floor infront of me knees.

"Oh my fucking-" He cursed under breath, pressing his hand agaisnt my mouth.

"My ears are ringing." He grunted to himself, picking up his gun and sending me a glare.

"I'm gonna stand up and find something to tie you up with, my gun's in my hand so don't scream or move - you got that?" He consolidated, getting up off his haunces and walking round my room. He held my room curtairs to see if they are strong enough to hold.

My eyes flickered around the room desperately, trying to find anything to fight him with. I needed Jake here to tell me everything is going to be okay and that he is here. That guy unlooped the rope-like item.

He's gonna kill me...by choking me!

Panic rised inside my system and I began to look around the room, noticing the vase which I found pretty ugly but Jessy didn't let me remove it. Whilst the man had his back turned to me, I stood up with wobbly legs and reached for the vase. I took a deep breath and swing the vase forward with my teeth digging into my lower lip.

The vase indeed hit something...

But as soon I felt it being pressed against something. I opened my eyes slowly, nearly wincing at the sight of him.

He had caught the full force of vase in his hand, gripping the vase so hardly that I feared it'd shatter into thousand pieces. He was glaring at me deadly.

Shit...

"Alright, Mc. I was gonna go easy on you, but we'll have to do this the hard way."

Soon I felt pain in the head and dark occupied me fully.

A kidnapper wanted you there and you were right on your way throwing things into your backpack. Putting on a black face mask

ignoring everyones messages you got on your motorbike and drove there as fast as you could without caring about anything.

right to Ironsplinter mine as you got close to the duskwood forest you threw your motorbike down on the ground, running as fast as you could to the mine.

You walked into the dark entrance of the mine holding a lighter in your right hand to enlighten your way through the dark creepy halls walking deeper and deeper in it until you saw Hannah… running out at you from the dark you grabbed her by shoulder.

-run straight out of here, the police should be here in a few minutes! don't ask questions!”

You say firmly and push her forward.

Soon she disappears from your sight, you walked deeper into the mine.

-I know you're here!! Show yourself!!”

You yell to get MWAF attention and soon you see his mask peeling out from the darkness

-You motherfucker!!!

You yell charging at him, you slam your fist at his face, making him Fall backWard you Pin him down, giving him a few more punches, your knuckles burn as blood flows down your knuckles . You grab his mask, ripping it off his face ,only to see Richy and you froze…

-you…you died! You mother fucker i cryed for you and it was YOU all along”

Richy looked at you his face beaten up

Richy say And stopped speaking

You stood up

-police will be here shortly.*traitor*

You say shortly and slowly started to walk away after a few minutes there was a huge explosion. Fire started to surround you.

You were scared to death coughing as the smoke filled your lungs making them burn and your eyes watered. You started to get weak feeling sick and powerless. You Sat on the ground as the fire surrounded you.

You pulled out your phone and send a text to your friends group

-thank you guys for everything. It was my destiny and I don't want any of you to blame yourself for my death. I love you guys…don't forget me…”

You sended the text unsure if it would even get sent as your signal was nearly cut off

he whispered back then he pulled out a small black box from his hoodie pocket and opened it showing you a ring with a nymous eye in the middle

He looked pained into your eyes

You answer and he puts a ring on your finger, you smile weekly then you went limp your head against his shoulder and he hugged you gently sitting against a wall as the fire filled the mine slowly consuming your body's…and your story ended right there with Jake in your arms.
