It’s a strange place to have a battle, Cody thinks. The planet they’re on is warm and sunny, and they look out of place marching through the calm fields. They don’t belong here, and Cody feels bad thinking about what these meadows will look like when they leave.

Cody keeps his eyes trained ahead, sometimes flicking towards General Kenobi in his right. The sun makes his hair look lighter than normal, and his eyes match the color of the sky. The General is mesmerizing, and Cody has to be nudged by Waxer at his left to make sure he doesn’t stumble.

He hears the quiet snicker from his brother, and Cody turns his head sharply. Even with the helmet blocking Cody’s glare, Waxer seems to get the message.

Later that day, when the sun is setting and the men are settling down, Cody finds himself sitting outside his tent, surveying the many hills and forests. This planet really is beautiful, if a bit empty, and it’s places like this that make Cody wish he wasn’t a clone, or a soldier, and he could spend his days here without duty calling him away.

But he’ll never have that life, so why dwell on it?

He hears rustling next to him, and watches as the General sits beside him, eyes following the setting sun. Cody’s heart skips a beat, and he has to turn his head away to keep his blush hidden.

“Did you need something, Sir?” Cody asks.

“Nothing related to the mission. I just wanted to see you’re doing,” Obi-Wan replies, and Cody thinks that things like this are why he feels the way he does. Obi-Wan is just so kind, and it’s different from what Cody is used to; how could he not fall completely?

“Fine, Sir, thank you.”

Obi-Wan gives him a smile, nodding. “You know, I’m not sure I ever really appreciated planets like this before the war.” He picks one of the small flowers, twirling it in his hand.

He continues, meeting Cody’s gaze. “I suppose we appreciate beauty more when it becomes harder to find.” And the way Obi-Wan is looking at him- Cody’s heart seems like it’s going to burst, and he really should leave so as not to do something stupid- but he can’t.

Obi-Wan slowly places the flower behind Cody’s ear, giving him another smile; but this one seems genuine and secret, a gift for only Cody to have. Then, the General walks off, and Cody smiles to himself, and realizes just how gone he is for his jetii.

I love Jules and Rue separately. But idk about together. Like they’re so fucking sweet and wholesome when it’s good, but when it’s bad it doesn’t seem right. I think if they both sorted out their shit they’d be a power couple and live their sapphic New York apartment dreams. Jules needs to explore herself more, figure out what she wants, but in a safe way. and Rue needs to get clean clean, not replacing addiction with another addiction. Maybe they’re just destined to be the kind of friends that are more like soulmates, idk.

Nate is bad. He is. I know. But I don’t hate him?? He’s traumatised and twisted and his Dad is fucked up and obviously this has all impacted him. It doesn’t excuse all the trauma and manipulation and abuse he’s inflicted on others. But I don’t want him to be hated so much that they get rid of his character or stop exploring him, I think he has a lot of potential as a character wowowow. I want to see more and I want to see him be better.

I fucking love Maddy but she’s toxic asf with Nate. They both need to stay away from each other!!!!!!! Jesus. ALSO: playing Loner while they slowdanced was so perfect - “I don’t wanna be your cigarette, use me up then toss me step on me” :((((
