"trey." it was the fifth time she'd interrupted him in the last ten minutes since they'd been arguing — approximately fifteen total, if one counted the fact that they'd been arguing off & on since last night — and jaira really thinks that another round of their usual moral disagreement conversations could quite literally kill her. it started off casually, because of course it did. don't give the baby this. don't lay the baby down like that. understandably tense lectures when raising a trio for the first time in over seventy years. then, progressively, trey's fathering turned into nagging. you should smile when you hold them, jai. you're not being warm enough, jai. the books said this, said that, said said said fucking said. and jaira had clenched her teeth & did whatever he asked her to, because the book said so. but after a while, it started feeling a little more...personal. like she was doing something wrong. like she didn't know how to parent the right way. and maybe she didn't. maybe fucking over flora all of those years ago made jaira a little nervous now. but she had never said anything to trevaunn to indicate that she was unhappy. when he implies as much, and then outright says it, jaira actually looks at him with something akin to disgust. "trevaunn. do you want me to be happy with someone else?"

Is Riot Games better at producing musical hits than developing games?

Riot Games is a video game developer and publisher founded in September 2006, based in Los Angeles, California. In 2009 they launched League of Legends into the world, a MOBA that more than 10 years after its launch continues to be one of the most notable online video games of all time, with more than 124 million active players.

I would bet anything that you have heard about LOL on some occasion, whether you are a video game connoisseur or not, it is almost impossible if you are a human being with the internet to ignore the existence of a video game with these characteristics. Even if we move to the professional field, the League of Legends league is considered the largest in terms of e-sports, with 12 leagues across different regions that converge into a world championship held every year.

Currently, League of Legends has led to the creation of other game modes and highly valued products, such as League of Legends: Wild Rift, for mobile devices, or Teamfights tactics, an auto battler based on the characters and regions of Lol, available for both computers and mobile devices.

But enough about the game, let's get to the point of this post: Since League of Legends is a free game to download and play, the money has to come from somewhere. With more than 5,000 employees, including conceptual artists, 3D developers, programmers, music composers, etc. There is one department that has managed to bring together all the company's incredible skills and generate an effective means of income: The marketing department.

Between lines of quite particular and striking skins that encourage players to buy unique appearances for their favorite characters, or the various chests of random GACHA-style rewards that hook the weakest players of mind and wallet, Riot Games has been able to take advantage of them regular to internal purchases of their video game, but one day, the marketing department at Riot Games had an impressive idea.

Regardless of the fact that it was not the first time that Riot made a fictitious band to promote the sale of its skins, there is no doubt that the first musical hit to break the previously known limits was POP STARS, for the K/DA skins, whose music video released in 2018, inspired by Korean pop culture, and featuring the voices of Madison Beer, Jaira Burns and (G)I-DLE, obtained 577 million views on YouTube.

Riot reapplied the formula the following year with the TRUE DAMAGE skin line, with its respective fictional band and song GIANTS, featuring the voices of Becky G, Keke Palmer, Duckwrth, Thitmose and Soyeon ((G)I-DLE) and a music video that referred to the most recent currents of pop and hip-hop, achieved 206 million views.

Riot has managed to maintain its formula efficiently over the years. Projects like K/DA ALL OUT (199 million views), World Cup songs like Legends Never Die (262 million views), Warriors (417 million views), or the opening song for the first series based on the lore of the game, Arcane, ENEMY, by Imagine Dragons (254 million views), have nothing to envy of the big hits of recent times in terms of the impact they generate.

The latest musical project from Riot Games this 2023 shows us that if something works you should keep doing it. The boy band made up of game champions Ezreal, Sett, Yone, Aphelios, Kayn and K'sante: ¨Heartsteel¨ has released their single Paranoia, featuring the vocals of Bekhyun, Tobi lou, OZI and Cal Scruby. 1 month after the publication of the music video, it has already achieved 32 million views, and they are looking for more.

Without a doubt, when Riot wants to launch a musical project, it puts all its resources and skills into doing so, achieving a huge impact not only on the most committed players, but also on people totally unrelated to the game who have found in these music videos a quality product.

Just like how the media was expanded. Before enjoying the great benefits that netizens could gain from using different media categories, it is very crucial to dig deeper into its transformation. Media plays as a medium to disseminate information in the whole world that paves way for communication. Without its past, it is impossible for humans to utilize and get indulged with it.

The tribal age (1500 BC – 1500 AD)

The Tribal Age, which McLuhan names as the first historical era which existed from 1500 BC – 1500 AD. A time when hearing was the most significant sense for gathering information and allowed humans to be more quickly aware of their surroundings, which was crucial for hunting because they moved from one location to another. Another name for the Tribal Age is the "Acoustic Era." The senses of touch, taste, smell, and hearing were all far more developed than vision during this time period. Spoken word is more immediate and lively than written word, oral communication was the dominant method because it was more usable and useful.

Pre-Industrial societies varied from one place to the next based on local culture or the history of social and political life. Europe is renowned for its feudal order during the Middle Ages. 

The first one is the cave paintings which existed 35,000 BC where there are 27,000-year-old murals in the caverns, which indicates that the people who lived there painted for at least 13,000 years. The discovery of the Indonesian cave paintings is significant because it reveals the earliest examples of what modern human intelligence looks like. 

The second discovery was a Clay Tablet in Mesopotamia in 2,400 BC that was employed as a writing medium in the Ancient Near East, particularly for writing in cuneiform. The tablets from Tartaria are possibly amulets or votive tablets given the circumstances of the discovery. Inscriptions from Tartaria are not just marks or symbols that are dispersed at random; rather, they represent characters from some sort of writing system. 

The third is the Papyrus Paper in 2500 BC or also known as the papyrus plant. It was originally widely distributed along the Nile River Valley, mostly in the untamed areas of the Egyptian Delta, but it is now extremely rare. The papyrus of Egypt is most closely linked with writing; in fact, the name "paper" in the English language is derived from the word "papyrus." However, the Egyptians discovered that the plant had many other uses besides serving as a writing surface for papers and writings. Egyptian Papyrus, which grows in shallow fresh water and mud, used to be a typical component of the Nile Delta's natural vegetation. These plants were formerly merely a component of the local vegetation's natural ecosystem, but after people discovered they might use them for something, they were raised in farms, widely harvested, and their supply was completely exhausted. Egyptian papyrus was used to manufacture rope, sandals, boxes, baskets, mats, and as a food source. The codex is authentic and perhaps the oldest surviving manuscript from ancient America, according to a thorough new study of it.

The Japanese woodblock art print known as ukiyo-e is the most popular kind. With the exception of block-books, which were created mostly in the 15th century, the majority of European applications of the printing process on paper are encompassed by the artistic term woodcut.

The Industrial Age (1700’s-1930’s)

hi ik this is sorta different from what you usually post about here but im wondering what you think of k/da's 'villain' mv!!

hi!! at first i was like "....wait when did i ever give any indication that i know anything about league....????" but then i remembered that k/da is technically kpop because it has (g)idle members in it and then everything made sense. you're actually very lucky because i literally phoned a friend for help with answering this, since one of my best friends of 15 years is an animator that works in the (semi) big leagues doing mostly 3d animation! i could have probably answered this without him but i wanted an excuse to talk to him (we did literally have a phone call) since i hadn't heard his voice in a while and i really like talking about art with him. we both have slightly differing opinions on the villain mv and on k/da in general, which isn't that surprising if you know us, but i also think it speaks to the success of the ideas behind k/da, i suppose.

first, an intro for anyone who doesn't know what k/da is (because there will definitely be some of you). k/da is a fictitious animated girl group made from four characters from league of legends, that are voiced by two kpop idols (miyeon and soyeon from (g)idle) and two american singers (madison beer and jaira burns). the project was conceived by riot games after having success with a similar project pentakill (basically the same thing but using metal instead of pop/kpop). k/da has handful of songs and three music videos: pop/stars, more, and villain, all of which are completely divorced from any of the lore of the game. honestly you don't even need to know anything about the characters either if you can get past the fact that they yanno, look like video game characters. pop/stars and more are the whole group (there's another champion feature in more) and villain is a concept video/solo song for one member, evelynn.

personally i don't have a lot of opinions on k/da as a whole; i remember when pop/stars dropped and all my friends when bananas (i don't play league and i don't play multiplayer games at all), but i don't really get the appeal of them because i don't think they're doing anything with k/da visually that's intrinsic to being animated (other than the concept itself, but i'm going to come back to this). my friend however, likes the concept a lot and thinks that the animation has more appeal on a broad approach than a traditional kpop mv. i will fault him for this logic because that last girl group he followed was snsd when we were 13, but he does kind of have a point. the animated nature does temper some of the more surrealistic elements of kpop mvs and makes it more 'palatable' to a non-kpop viewing audience, but personally i don't agree with this reasoning and people are just boring. we do both agree that pop/stars is the best of the three mvs, though. it's the most fun and has a few really interesting moments that do utilize the animated medium (mostly akali's parts with the blacklight), and the stylization of the animation itself is fun. more and villain lean more into realism and i don't find that as interesting even if it is more of a technical achievement. the thing about both more and pop/stars though is that despite the concept needing to be animated (because the characters aren't real), a lot of the shots and content within the frame is pretty similar to shots you would see in real life kpop mvs. there is absolutely an extra heightened nature to it because of the medium but honestly? they could be doing a lot crazier shit instead of trying to emulate something that already exists with some extra flair.

i like villain i think the most conceptually because it does make a fuller use of the medium (regardless of the fact that it's not a lot of actual animation and is mostly just really really good texture sims. this is a pendantic point that my friend decided he had to correct me on). a good chunk of the shots hinge on the fact that it is animated, and this kind of atmospheric mv is less common for kpop; they pointedly don't show evelynn's full face at all, which they can do because she has a very recognizable and totally designed silhouette, which is something that you can't achieve in quite the same way with an actual human being. villain's ability to capture the mood of the song is successful because of its lack of emphasis on the main character; something that i find kpop mvs sometimes struggle more with because of the industry emphasis on face (and subsequently the fact that a lot of idols can't act). riot does also get it mostly right with giants, which is from another fictional champion group, which is mostly 2d animated.

Web Desk, Trending News Fox, Kolkata: ‘What’s your name?’ - this question can be the beginning of a film or a story. How many conversations start with the exchange of names, addresses, and identities. And by the way, even if there is talk at the beginning, be it in the case of raga-music, or life. But, last? Can the conversation ever end? If the name of the film is Atanu Ghosh's 'Binisutoy', then the answer is positive. Bini-yarn, meaning without yarn binding.

The English name of the film is 'Without Strings'. The two people who come from two different positions in society are connected like loose threads to each other, but they are not connected. When two parallel lives meet at any point for a short time, many possibilities open up, what a lot of stories can be created from there! In fact, Atanu Ghosh's picture goes ahead by capitalizing on the idea of ​​this story. The necessity, the importance, the nature of the story - many such commentaries come up in fragmentary scenes and contexts. But the quality of the story, as well as the subject matter, depends a lot on the story-telling. Which is a bit disappointing in the case of this film.

Sraboni Barua (Jaya Ahsan) and Kajal Sarkar (Ritwik Chakraborty) were seen auditioning for a reality show titled 'Ke Paabe 50 Lakh'. Sraboni is quite a numb, timid young housewife. When he is asked to say something about himself, he is in a lot of trouble. He walks in front of the camera without noticing while making videos of others. All in all, she is quite incongruous on the audition set. Kajal, on the other hand, is quite agile.

When Sravani suddenly fell in the open field, he took her to the hospital and after first aid, he drank tea. They both deal with their confidence as they choose to embark on their play activities. The camera flashes back to the beginning of that particular day, the prelude to their meeting. Then they spend the rest of the day together. At the end of the day, as expected, they return to their homes.

They go back but go back in another form and identity. This is the twist of the story. The director has been confused for a long time about what the new identity is, what their identity is, or the real one. What happens at the end is definitely for the viewers, but this conflict of identity is the main fun of the story. Hundreds of years ago, England's most famous playwright wrote: All men and women on the world stage are just actors. Seeing this picture of Atanu Ghosh, this statement can be given even if it peeks in the corner of the mind.

Atanu himself wrote the story of the film. The story is really admirable. In fact, the concept and definition of the story is the main reliance of this film here. Watching the trailer, even at the beginning of the film, it seemed that maybe an extra-marital love affair would be formed between the two main characters in this film as per the conventional chart. He also had enough materials or possibilities. But it does not happen, there is no way to know if it develops in the next case. Because the picture ended before him.

However, the main problem of 'Binisutoy' is storytelling. The story of the movie depends a lot on the scenes and the dialogue, both of which are a bit weak — especially the dialogue. The beginning of the film is quite mature, it also creates enough expectations. But as the picture progresses, it spreads as a result of giddy and weak dialogue. Several scenes seem to be imposed, such as the scene of Sravani's grandfather's house.

Dada (Kaushik Sen) gets very angry when he sees his sister after some past misunderstandings and tries to get her out of the house. In this scene, Sraboni's grandfather suddenly begins to read a poem written by his grandfather, first by his wife, and then by himself, which seems out of place in the flow of the story, as if trying to force a poetic dimension for the sake of art. Perhaps the fact that 'story' has been given so much prominence throughout the film makes the story-telling weaknesses of the film more apparent.

Although Jaya Ahsan's presence with him did not take his eyes off the screen, his acting seems a bit limited. The facial expressions are pretty much static, unchanging throughout the whole picture. On the contrary, the picture has gone a long way in the priest's usual fluent acting. Kaushik Sen is good in the small role, and Chandreyi Ghosh is good in the role of Kajal's wife.

There are some notable frames in the picture that will be remembered even after the end of the picture. For example, an orange placed next to a strange combination of sun and shadow on the railing of an old house, or a shot of Sravani waiting on the floor of a tea shop tent in the sudden rain. In the last frame, the name 'Sraboni' merges with the torrent of rain, and Sraboni literally becomes the symbol of Sravan. Although much of the middle part fell for slow motion and poor screenplay, the last bit of the film is memorable again.

Especially towards the end, a strange soft range is created by making ‘I saw you in the midst of happiness’ in Jaira’s throat. This Rabindragan has also been successful in arranging music as informally as possible. Mixing good and evil, Atanu Ghosh's new film tells a story of different tastes. The cinema hall opened after so many days on him. You can visit 'Binisutoy' once.

hey friends, here go some random #vampirefacts about jaira since @miillennials asked for them and she’s just interesting as shit!!!

general appearance/skin — being that jaira has been dead for literally over a hundred fuckin’ years and whatnot, she doesn’t take on all the characteristics of being a human, at least not 100%! she’s actually a lot paler than normal, and she doesn’t necessarily have a glow but rather, her skin looks kinda dull (unless she takes the time to put on make up and whatnot then she looks somewhat better, also the temp has smthn to do with it but thats for another bullet point)

bruises/injuries/etc — jaira does bruise, but for like thirty seconds to a minute before it disappears completely. as for injuries, the only physical injury/scar she has is the jagged scar underneath her breast by her ribcage. the scar stayed with her even when she swapped bodies because that’s how she initially died when a broken street pole impaled the shit out of her lungs and she bled out. (yikes, gotta love model t cars in the twenties!!!) other than that, she doesn’t suffer dramatically from injuries unless she’s starving as shit.

eating habits — naturally, like all vampires, she survives off of blood. mm, yummy. however, she also has a normal palate when it comes to food, so she can consume meals and has cravings for snacks and such, but eating a three course meal is the equivalent to eating chips for her. it just doesn’t do that much. so if she’s filled up on blood and wants to snack, she’ll just hit up a fast food joint or some shit.

temperature — as mentioned earlier, jaira’s appearance of her skin kinda depends on her temp. she doesn’t maintain a consistent body temp like normal humans do, so she’s constantly cold even if she doesn’t exactly feel temperature. for example, she doesn’t respond to cold elements in a timely manner so she’d walk around in a blizzard or below freezing weather in nothing but a light jacket and be totally fine. and i mention this in some threads, but her apartment is unnaturally warm (like 75 at most plus a space heater) just so that her skin can feel somewhat normal. so half the time, ppl suffer in her apartment and she doesn’t even notice.

abilities — basically, she’s strong as shit. she can run fast, lift literally anything, levitate herself/other objects, has heightened senses, can teleport, and similar to jessica jones, can “jump”. (idk if i’ve even mentioned it in threads yet but she breaks almost everything half the time if shes angry/not paying attention and can also hover/float/sit on ceilings and shit idk my girl is weird)

sleeping habits — jaira sleeps but.........not often. half the time she’s just levitating in her apartment with all her lights off. when she does sleep, it can be for hours up to days, and longer if she’s starving. (she also watches people while they sleep??? idk weird she’s just fascinated by humans sometimes)

relationships — jaira is bisexual and wonderful. she’s had a total of four husbands and one wife in her entire lifetime. the death of her first and only human wife/love is what devastated her enough to take a ten year depression nap. she’s also had a shit ton of lovers all over the fucking world and prbly has hella kids that she just left because whatever.

her past/how she got turned — jaira (minnie) was in a car accident and was dying in a snowbank when a group of vampires basically saved her life. in turn, these vampires preyed on “dying” women and forced them to injure tons of innocent people just so they could be tuned and also breed cause yay vampires! unfortunately, jaiminnie thought this was wack as shit and dipped. as minnie, her husband/leader of this group is looking for her to kill her cause he loves attention. as jaira, she prbly murked his ass by now cause fuck that nigga.

other random/myth shit — jaira is amazing at math. that’s mostly due to a thing i read about distracting vampires by dropping seeds and they’d automatically start counting each one, but she’s super fucking smart. garlic doesn’t kill her, it just makes her sneeze. she can see her reflection in mirrors but it’s sort of dim. she shows up in pictures (she uses social media for “work” but thinks its stupid). she loves snapchat filters cause they’re cute af. sunlight sometimes makes her cranky depending on her hunger levels. when feeding/starving, her eyes are darker than normal. when turning someone, her eyes look glazed over with deep red. she can down whiskey like it’s nothing because it doesn’t really make her drunk, just sluggish. when she was still living her previous life as minnie and took a ten year depression nap, she stalked a woman named jaira black and took her body to live a different life without fearing being hunted. poor sis. she keeps old photos of herself in her house occasionally but never explains them. jaira can speak and understand a fuck ton of different languages because she was once #worldfamous. jaira really, really hates coffee for some unexplained reason. she people watches all the time if she’s in public. she’s threatened to fight at least twenty-five old ladies in her apartment building. jaira does a bunch of weird shit and never explains anything tbh, she just weird as fuck.

to be, for lack of a more appropriate word, a very "dated" being forced to live without a real end & having to navigate a constantly changing modern world, jaira's ways of thinking is always having to change — whether she wants it to or not. there is always going to be a very big part of her that wishes she could go back to her human life and uphold her traditional values/memories because it's what she knows the best (and it's what was robbed from her), but she's also aware of the fact that she doesn't have a choice but to accept the way that society & the world around her has changed in the last century. jaira doesn't like it a lot of the time! but she's actually a much more modern thinker as compared to her human life & is open to/prefers certain aspects of the modern world as opposed to the past at times.

she does continue to doubt herself, though. often. whether it's her own personal outlook as a technically 100+ year old vampire or whether it's how to navigate conversations & other social situations (because she does lack cues & filters!), it happens pretty often — which is the primary reason she simply chooses not to engage with people for longer than she can tolerate. won't catch her looking dumb or getting cancelled in front of anybody she doesn't care for!

I’m honestly still a little perplexed by the idea of a virtual K-pop girl group, but everything about this song and music video is great, so I’m not complaining.
