Jaime and Brienne clownery is my favorite like currently in the story Brienne is obviously the one who is more into Jaime yet her dumbass is still in denial and trying to think about Renly. While Jaime isn't hit hard as Brienne (YET) since he still has his own issues to deal with but he so obviously has a crush on Brienne & is really attracted to her but he's like I DON'T CARE but he does.

And like I just really want to see more slow burn clownery in TWOW where Brienne at least might have accepted she's in love with Jaime really. Then we have a new clown Hyle Hunt who I think will live for the SOLE PURPOSE of Jaime going "WHY AM I SO MAD AT KYLE KUNT EVERY TIME HE'S NEAR BRIENNE???" And I just really want TWOW Jaime/Brienne (+ Hyle) circus so bad!!! 😭😭😭

I remember people saying I was crazy and toxic for fearing Morgenthorn would overshadow Kitty in TWP.

Now we have three little snippets of TWP and all three of them are Dru and Morgenthorn. (I think. That one art piece CC says is Dru, but they don't look like the same characters.)

I've been thinking a lot lately about why 'Larry Lannister' bothers me so much, and it finally hit me the other day that it's because I genuinely love show Jaime as much as I love book Jaime, and to see an enormous chunk of the JB fandom hating a character I love -- one who is theoretically part of our shared OTP -- is demoralizing.

People in this fandom hate lots of characters I love (Ned Stark, step right up!), and it doesn't bother me, but this one hurts because... listen, I know as well as anyone that the show ending for Jaime was disappointing and upsetting and felt wrong. And it makes me furious! But it doesn't make me furious at Jaime. I'm mad at D&D; I'm upset for Jaime. But I feel like calling him Larry Lannister and writing him off entirely is abandoning him to his canon fate, which is exactly the opposite of what fandom does. I think people are quick to do it because there is also book Jaime, but book Jaime isn't exactly the same as show Jaime, and there are things I like better about show Jaime than book Jaime (and vice versa, since people get touchy about this; I was a book fan long before the show came out).

Of course fans are all going to respond differently to source material; there are book fans who've hated the show and everything it stands for for a while, and show fans who never got into the books and never will, and fans like me who loved the books and the show and hold the two canons in our heads in a sort of amorphous, two-headed blob of a source.

I think having the two canons that are so close to each other but different in some critical ways has been a blessing and a curse for this fandom. The blessing is that it's made the characters more identifiable as concrete archetypes; IMO there are fundamental things about Jaime and Brienne (and Ned and Arya and Tyrion etc.) that carry across both canons that have become my defining characteristics of these characters. And that makes it much easier to write them in all of these many wonderful AUs we get, both canon-based and beyond. But the curse is that there's so much more internal disagreement, and with one canon being closed so disappointingly and the other being open with no idea (or chance of knowing, IMO) of how it's ending, I completely understand people embracing the canon that hasn't actively hurt them.

But I also hate leaving behind characters I love, even if it's for similar characters i also love.

So that's why it bugs me. I don't want to leave show Jaime behind, spitting on his metaphorical grave as I go. I'm not interested in punishing him for choices that were made by writers and showrunners. I want to bring him with us and take care of him and tell him not to worry because he belongs to the fandom now and we're going to give him the story he deserved. He and Brienne earned that.

Idk, I'm not trying to change anyone's mind on the ending of the show, it is what it is and what it was hurt, I don't disagree. And I'm genuinely glad people have book JB to be their happy place! I'm just expressing my feelings on the show characters, in case there are any other show JB fans still hanging on in the fandom, heh. You're not alone! We can wrap show JB in blankets and feed them soup in our little cottage in the woods.

Then we find out the alien corpses are made out of a hodgepodge of chopped up human and animal remains.

The fact that my mother is watching yet ANOTHER Yellowstone marathon makes me wish for the sweet release of death the show to end once and for fucking all just so that Wes Bentley can find new work that isn't this shitshow.

I've watched some of the shittiest of shitty indie movies for that man, I watched the shit he made when he was still hooked on heroin and actually stoned on camera, I watched the absolutely DOGSHIT pre-MCU adaptions of fucking Jonah Hex and Ghost Rider out of devotion to that man, but god, I'm not strong enough for this.

as someone who enjoys almost all of the characters in asoiaf the "anti-this character" stuff just really baffles me to the nth degree. like you don't have to love them or like them that much or find them interesting, i think we all have certain characters we enjoy more than others (like give me more of that dolorous edd meta guys cmon) but just why when i go to the for you, half of what shows up is "anti-this character" and "anti-this other character" (also usually both women)??? like guys save your energy for the characters you love. life is truly too short for this.

ok yaalllllll, i KNOW no one's going to believe this but the craziest thing happened!!

okay so i had sat to write when i had posted that last text on the blog

then suddenly the lights went out (we have an inverter so it wasn't completely dark) and there were huge storms, like dust storm, thunder and lightning and like huge gusts of directional wind,,, i went out to the veranda/balcony to get that fresh air, shiro was with me too

then about 05 minutes later i hear my brother yelling from upstairs (both my brothers' rooms are upstairs and then above that we have the roof). i heard him asking his wife if she put cloth clips on the laundry that she had just put out on the roof (i had seen her putting the laundry out because i was there too giving dinner to shiro and none of us thought it odd to put the laundry out at night cause it was so hot no one anticipated the sudden storm) idk what she said but i ran up too cause the rope on which we hang the clothes runs along the northern edge of our house so if any cloth falls, it'll fall out of the boundary of the roof

my brother and i reach together and see there's nothing, not a single cloth there and they were all white clothes out to dry

we didn't know what to do, my brother is in despair lol cause those were his favourite shirts and were kinda expensive too

we took our umbrellas and got out of the house,,, it had just started pouring down so heavy winds and rain

we ring up the house in whose backyard, we GUESSED that the clothes might have fallen into.

she is a nice person she let's us in and we go to the backyard, it's not maintained so the trees are all running haphazardly.

we retrieve three pieces of clothing from various places in the backyard (i had to climb a small pile of rubbish lol) now mind you it's me doing all the retrieving lol in that mud and shit. then we flash the lights above and find another shirt hanging from the branch of a tree, luckily the branch was near the window of our kitchen.

then we come back after thanking her and we go up to the roof again as the rain has calmed down and we needed to locate one last t-shirt

funnily i had taken off my glasses after the outside rendezvous cause there were droplets of water on it and i realized that i wasn't wearing glasses after i was already standing on the roof with the flashlight. i have negative power in both my eyes so i can't see very well in the distance,,, my vision gets blurry the further something is

anyways! i still locate the final shirt and luckily again it was hanging near the window of my brother's room

then next we somehow found two pieces of sticks long enough to reach those two shirts

the room one was difficult to reach cause it was a bit far away so two of us had to maneuver it to ensure it didn't fall down (cause then again we would have to disturb the lady and also it would fall in mud) we got it

finally the kitchen one, i climbed up the counter top and just about anchored myself by the window (the window space isn't big enough to fit the whole me) and retrieved it
