Week 18 - Vikings @ Lions on Sunday Night Football

The regular season finale between two NFC juggernauts wasn't as close as we thought it would be. The Lions (15-2) dominated throughout and with their win, they claim the NFC North division title, the top NFC playoff seed, home-field advantage in the playoffs and a first-round bye. The Vikings (14-3) will go on the road as the fifth seed and play in next week's Wildcard round against the Rams.

idk if anyone else is watching this game but i really believe that the reason the lions are winning is bc they truly play as a team🙂‍↕️ even with all the injuries on defense continuing to pile up guys are stepping up in key moments and filling the spots that are left vulnerable also jahmyr gibbs is AMAZING🤩

Jared Goff , Lions sweep the Packers and they win their 11th game in a row and clinch playoffs on Thursday Night Football

Lions win their 11th game in a row not only to sweep the Packers but to clinch a playoff spot, 

The Detroit Lions defeated the Green Bay Packers by a score of 34-31, in which Dan Campbell called some "ballsy' plays on the last drive of the game, 

Detroit Lions running back David Montgomery was stopped short on 3rd and 1 with 43 seconds left in the game. Rather than try to kick a game-winning field goal, the Lions went for 4th and 1, and David Montgomery ran for 7 yards.

Jake Bates kicked the game-winning 35-yard field goal as time expired, giving Detroit the 24-21 victory over the Packers.

Detriot went 4-of-5 on 4th downs.

Jared Goff and the Lions did have control for most of the 1st half, leading the Packers 17-7 at the half, but it was Green Bay who took control of the 3rd quarter, scoring 14 points in under 5 minutes, Thanks to Jordan Love 12 yard touchdown pass to Tucker kraft on the opening 2nd half drive, which then followed by a Jsho Jacobs 6 touchdown run, thanks to Packers cornerback Keisean Nixon picking off Goff on the previous Lions drive. 

It was back-and-forth from then on, as Tim Patrick caught 2 second-half touchdowns and completed the game with 6 catches for 43 yards and 2 touchdowns. Gibbs snagged 6 catches for 30 yards and a touchdown and also ran the ball 15 times for 43 yards.

Jared Goff threw for three touchdowns and one interception, completing 32 of 41 passes for 283 yards, including his final 13 passes, 5 of which came on the game-winning drive. 

The Packers put up a fight, but it wasn't enough to avoid the sweep from Detroit. Josh Jacobs carried the ball 18 times for 66 yards and another 3 touchdown game performance; Tucker Kraft caught 3 passes for 41 and a touchdown, while Christian Watson caught 4 passes for 1114, including a 59-yard pass in the 4th quarter. While Jordan Love went 12 of 20 for 206 and one touchdown.  

Detroit will continue their winning streak at 12-1 while they host the Buffalo Bills, while the Packers sit at 9-4 as they continue their road trip over on the Northwest playing the Seattle Seahawks
