Draft Night

Bloodline Family Series

The families were all settled in one of Barclay Center's, backroom preparing for the draft. They'd all flown out for the draft. Simba, Teddy, Jadyn and Jalyn had been pretty quiet aside from answering their families questions. They didn't doubt their talent, they were just flat out nervous. Nervous to hear their names called, nervous they would somehow mess up and nervous for what it meant for them going forward.

Milo and Eli approached their little brothers and cousin smiling.

"In all the time we've known yall, yall ain't never been this quiet," Milo joked.

"Right. Yall must be planning something," Eli added then whistled lowly when they didn't laugh, "Or not. Listen, no need to be worried about nothing. Yall are talented as hell and them teams was prolly fighting over yall."

Simba nodded, "Appreciate that, Elijan."

"No problem, Josiah."

They laughed for the first time all day.

Teddy sighed loudly. "It's just ... what happens when we get drafted? Everything gon be different."

Koda approached the group holding KJ. "Don't nothing change but where you live and who you play with. You still got your family, your friends and your girls. Don't worry about all that other shit. Don't say that, KJ."

KJ giggled, "You gimmie money."

"Yeah lil guy, I got you. But listen I'm not gon lie to yall, that shit gon be real lonely at first and it's gon be hard for your girls whether they decide to move right then or not," Koda explained softly, "Just stay focused and not just on ball. Yeah that shit important and it pays ya bills but so are your relationships. Aight?"

Jadyn rubbed his face thinking. "Shit. Me and Sade only been together like six months. I'm supposed to just ask her to uproot everything so soon? What if she don't want to?"

Eli put a hand on his brother's shoulder, "Then yall either make it work long distance or break it off. Same for you, Jalyn."

"But like Koda said ... don't worry." Milo added sincerly.

They were all silent for a moment.

"What we need to be worried about is yall making sure I get my floor seats. I'm tryna be right up on the action, calling the ref out," Koda laughed, "Gotta be close enough just in case yall need big cuz to lay hands. Ain't that right, KJ?"

KJ made a fist and scrunched his face up. "Yeah! We take em out!"

An hour later, the boys were getting last minute hugs and pep talks before they went out to the main stage. The PA stood at the door waiting for the four of them.

"Are you all taking someone out with you? Or is it just gonna be you four at a table?"

"Dad, come on, old man," Teddy chuckled. "Porsche, if my mama cry make sure you record it."

Porsche laughed, "I got you, baby."

Jadyn hummed, "Why you still sitting there, Dad? I know you getting old but I know them ears still work."

Jimmy laughed standing from his seat, "Aight now, Trin. You laughing a little to hard. I'm comin, son."

Jadyn blew a kiss to his girlfriend, Sade. "I'll be back, baby. Don't miss me too much."

"Boy," she laughed, "I won't. I'm gonna enjoy this time without you."

Nola laughed and high fived her, "I knew I liked you. Yall can take Eli too. Go head....take em."

"Only because I was already planning on bringing him, Nola." Jalyn laughed. "Ivy, yall crowd my mama. She like to fall when she cry."

"Be falling like she catching the holy ghost." Eli joked dodging her hit. "I'm coming, fellas."

Simba stood quietly trying to decide who to bring with him. He wanted both parents and both siblings but that was out of the question. Apryl saw the perplexed look on his face and stepped in.

"Jey, gone with your baby. Cause Lo is not about to be on TV with them velvet shoes on and Cookie gotta keep me company. I'm not about to be crying on TV."

Simba sighed quietly feeling relieved. He mouthed 'thank you' to his mom. She winked in return.

"With the first pick in the 2022 NBA Draft, the Los Angeles Lakers select," the commisoner paused to smile, "Josiah Fatu, Georgia State University!"

Simba stared in surprise as applause erupted around him. His cousins, his uncles and father being the loudest ones. He tucked his lips trying to contain his tears as he stood from his chair, hugging each of them before going to the stage.

"With the second pick in the 2022 NBA Draft, the Golden State Warriors select, Jadyn Fatu! Georgia State University!"

Jadyn covered his face for a moment before standing with a smile and tears on his face. He hugged his twin tight then his father and everyone else. He slowly swaggered to the stage trying to contain himself..

"With the third pick in the 2022 NBA Draft the Philadelphia 76ers select, Preston Washington! Georgia State University!"

Teddy immediately reached to hug his father, hugging him tight and crying on his shoulder. Once he let Rich go, he turned to his cousins and uncles. He frowned all the way to the stage to mask his tears.

"With the fourth pick in the 2022 NBA Draft, the Atlanta Hawks select, Jalyn Fatu! Georgia State University!"

Jalyn jumped up from his chair smiling making prayers hands and a cross across his chest. Eli pulled him into a tight hug then Jadyn and Jimmy got him. He got halfway to the date then remembered he forgot to hug his uncles and cousins, he jogged back to the table to hug them.

When they were able to go back to the private room, their family erupted into cheers and clapping as soon as they walked in. Their mothers running to them first.

Apryl jumped on her son hugging him and crying. "My lil mean baby! I'm so proud of you!"

Laughing, Simba held onto her and hugged her back before sitting her down. "Dang, for somebody who always starting with me you sure hugging me pretty tight."

"Boy," she laughed hitting him, "Shut up!"

Queenie hugged Teddy rocking them from side to side as she kissed his face.

"Aight, aight, Mama." He laughed trying to pull away. "That's enough kisses, Ma. Dang. You gon cover me in red lipstick."

"Oh really?" She scoffed playfully. "If it was Porsche, you wouldn't mind."

Teddy smirked. "That's right cause that's my baby. I'm tryna figure out why she not over here right now tryna kiss me."

Queenie laughed, "Your grown self get on my nerves."

"I was waiting till everybody got their hugs in, Teddy."

Jadyn and Jalyn held Trinity up as she cried and hugged them. She was speaking but none of them could understand what she was saying beyond 'I'm proud of you'.

Simba approached Milo and Cookie smiling. He put his hat on Cookie and picked her up, kissing her face. "We did it, brodder."

"Nah," Milo smiled shaking his head, "You did it, little brother. I'm so proud of you, man."

Careful of her belly, Teddy hugged Summerella lifting her from the ground a bit making her yell. He put her down laughing.

"Don't do that no more, fool. My baby ain't like that," she joked.

"Don't speak for my nephew, he had fun. Thank you for coming."

"I wouldn't miss this for anything in the world, Teddy. I told you I'm always wherever I need to be for my baby brother."

"Looks like you gon be in Philly then," he said smiling.

Summer shrugged playfully rubbing her stomach. "I'll be there as long as you promise to buy me cheesesteaks whenever I want."

Teddy laughed, "You got a deal."

"Looks like you're staying in Atlanta," Ivy said as Jalyn approached her smiling.

He nodded hugging her. "Looks like it. Question is ... are you?"

Ivy hummed playfully, laughing when he tickled her. "Okay, okay! Yes, I'm gonna stay. Truth be told, my roommate didn't submit my transfer papers like I asked her to months ago anyway."

"Shout out to roomie," he joked before kissing her.

Jadyn picked Sade up spinning her around. "So is you proud of me or you proud of me?"

"Yes," she giggled. "I'm proud of you, Jadyn. I just...Golden State?"

Jadyn sat her down and sighed. "I know it's far but it's some good schools out there."

"That's not what I'm talking about," she chuckled, "I'm talking about the team itself. Hate them."

He laughed moving to tickle her again.

"Come on ... show your man some love."

Porsche rolled her eyes playfully as she went to hug and kiss Teddy. She pulled away to smile at him. "I'm so proud of you. You about to go to Philly and shut it down."

Teddy kissed her again. "We, baby. We."

Porsche nodded slowly, her smile slightly fading which Teddy didn't notice from his uncle calling his name. He promised to come right back and went to Amell.

"Can I say it?" Kennedie asked playfully. "Pleeease."

Simba stared at her trying not to smile. "Maaan ... go head. Just this one time though."

"Yay!" She squealed then cleared her throat. "I told you! I told you! I told you that Josiah Fatu was gon be the number one draft pick! I told you!"

Simba laughed along with everybody else then pulled her into a tight hug. "You rollin' with me?"

Kenedie smiled up at him as she pulled away from the hug and bumped fists with him. "Till the wheels fall off, Simba."

The family continued their celebration while the rest of the draft went on. They enjoyed the cupcakes Kandice and Tahsa brought with them.

Haleigh approached her cousins smiling. "I just want to say if this was yall way of getting out of babysitting, it didn't work. I will ship the children to Cali, Philly and Atlanta. Don't play."

They laughed loudly.

"We not tryna get out of it." Teddy chuckled.

"Good," she said hugging them, "I'm so proud of yall and so is Lito. He's been itching to get to yall. Told him I'd let him know when it was okay cause you know he likes to wrestle."

Jadyn smiled, "Send em over. Matter of fact send all the lil ones over. We need love from them too."

"Facts," Simba cosigned playfully, "No love, no game tickets!"

Haleigh laughed calling the children over to their cousins. Ardian and Paco followed them to help and congratulate the boys again.

Kennedie pulled Porsche to the side of the room when she saw her mood change again. "What is it? You've been up and down all day? Spit it out."

"Nothing ... nothing. Just still in shock, Kenni."

Kennedie stared at her. "I've known you most of our lives, you're lying. What's wrong?"

Porsche sighed, "I'm happy for him but Philly? That's a long way away. And we're not even finish with school yet."

"We all moved away from Florida together on purpose. We applied to the same schools to be with each other. But now it's too much?"

"It's different. We're about to start our last year and I wanna graduate."

Kenni scrunched her face up like she had seen her boyfriend do. "You can still graduate, Porsche. Either stay in Atlanta and finish then move or transfer schools. It's not that hard."

Porsche sighed glancing over at their boyfriends playing with the kids.

"You're still lying about whatever it is that's going on," Kenni said bringing back her attention, "And whatever it is, I hope you tell him the truth about it. Yall have been together too long for you to start lying and hiding stuff now."

"I know, Kenni."

"Then act like it." Kennedie spat before walking away from her.

Koda and Amell sat with each other talking and watching the girls interact. They couldn't hear what they were saying but they weren't slow. Well, Koda wasn't in that moment.

"You seen that, Unc?"

Amell nodded. "Yup. Somebody got cold feet or they got a secret."

"Both of which ain't good for Teddy. Who gon tell em?"

Amell adjusted his hat chuckling. "Not a stranger that's for damn sure. Somebody that love em, preferably her."

"And if she don't?"

"It ain't gon be pretty."

When they were done playing with the kids, Simba and the twins snuck up behind Aunni, Mercedes and Nola. Simba wrapped his arms around her tight picking her up off the ground, Jadyn picked up Nola and Jalyn picked up Mercedes. All three women yelled playfully to be put down.

"Ya lil brothers get drafted and don't get a hug, a l'm proud of you, a handshake, no nothing." Simba complained.

"I mean what's up with that?" Jalyn asked once they set their sisters down.

Jadyn dodged Nola's hit. "Right, we got beef?'

"You gon have some broke kneecaps yall do that again," Aunni threatened playfully.

Simba put his hand to his chest in mock surprise, "Now, Aunni, I expected that from Nola but not you. She's rubbed off on you."

"And I'm proud of her," Nola laughed hitting Jadyn.

Mercedes thumped Jalyn a few times, "Boy, do not pick me up again. Stop it."

Teddy wondered over to Algee and held his hand out. Algee slapped his hand pulling him into a brief hug.

"Proud of you, lil bro."

"Preciate that. You like Philly?"

Algee chuckled glancing at him, "It's aight. I been there a few times."

"Well," Teddy paused dramatically, "You gon learn to love it. Cause Summer gon be there every chance she get. Her and my nephew."

Algee laughed bumping him. "Damn ion get no choice? It's cool though, ima be wherever Ella and babygirl at."

"My nephew ain't gon like you calling him a girl. He gon come out here and not like you." Teddy joked.

"Yeah, yeah. I can't wait for this gender reveal so yall see that I'm getting my boy."

Teddy put a hand on his shoulder and squeezed, "Sorry to tell you, buddy but the OGs in the family have spoken.... that's a girl."

"We appreciate everybody for coming out to celebrate me and Lo little brothers and cousins and we wanna again say to them ... congratulations. Yall bout to take the league by storm." Eli smiled and winked.

"But ... but before then yall know we had to plan them a lil party. So all the cousins with kids, make your plans cause we partying tonight." Milo smiled.

"And tomorrow the cookout is at me and Tia house!"

Bloodline Family Series

The parents left their 17 year old boys in charge while they went on a mini vacation together for two weeks. Everything had been going good for them. The boys got their siblings up and ready for Sefa to take them to school then got themselves to school, homework was always done, they were clean and fed. The Reigns' house was clean, aside from a few things here and there. The boys were just awaiting the arrival of their parents so they could get their money for being responsible sitters.

"We going to Miami. Right?" Milo asked with his phone in his hand.

Eli sucked his teeth, "Yeah but Aunni can't go. Boys trip."

"You know Nola not lettin you go to Miami without her," Koda added with a snicker.

The cousins laid around the den, watching television and talking while their siblings played upstairs. Well, Haleigh was in her room on the phone.

"She don't control me. I do what I want."

"Aight, keep playin with her," Milo laughed, "You remember when you went to Tampa without her?"

Eli sucked his teeth again. "Man, she ain't trust me then."

"Oh so yall good now?" Koda asked.

Eli say quietly for a second, "Man fuck yall, I ain't scared of her. Bet I still go."

Jadyn walked quietly into the den holding a big bag of M&Ms and tapped Eli's arm.

"Can we get some?"

Eli looked to his left at his brother then at the bag. "Yeah, you don't ask Jay. You and Jalen 8, y'all don't need permission."

"Unless you at my house," Milo pointed out. "You might have to ask to breathe."

Jadyn ran off with the candy, taking them back upstairs.

"Talkin about I can't go? Bitch, you can't go. Auntie A is crazy as hell, she not lettin your bright ass go nowhere."

Milo threw his empty water bottle at Eli laughing. "Suck my dick, I'm going."

Haleigh came down to the den with the phone to her ear, waiting for them to stop talking. Koda told them to hold on and put his attention on his little sister.

"What's up, Hae?"

"I'm about to walk to Morgan's house real quick, I left some stuff there."

Koda started to get up, "I'll take you."

"No," she shook her head finally hanging up the phone, "It's literally four houses over. Plus yall might wanna go check on the boys."

"Why?" Milo asked quickly.

"When I was passing the room I heard them talking about studying something in someone's nose."

"Fuckin hell. I bet it's your demonic ass brother, Lo." Eli mumbled jumping up.

When they got up to the room Simba was lying on the floor with Jadyn and Jalyn hovering over him. Eli sucked his teeth and snatched his brother out of the way by the backs of their shirts.

"Who got something in they nose? Which one of yall is it?" He asked quickly.

"Not me," Jadyn said folding his arms.

Jalyn huffed, "Simba does."

"Snitch."

"Watch it, Jadyn. Who put something in his nose?"

"Go head, snitch. Tell him."

Eli dropped Jadyn onto the carpeted floor, he hit the floor with a thump. "I told you, Thing One."

"We thought it'd be a cool game, we were all gonna do it but you guys came."

Milo approached his baby brother slowly. He hoped it was something he could pull out. If he couldn't, he knew Jey would whoop his ass. He sat on the floor and pulled Simba into his lap, examining his nose.

"Simba, what the hell? Why would you let them do this?" Milo asked in a panicked voice.

Simba shrugged. "Just a game, brodder."

Koda and Eli kneeled beside them.

"It's not just a game, how many of them shits you got up there?" Koda groaned.

"8," Jalyn answered for him.

Milo couldn't believe his ears. His ass was starting to hurt, he could just feel the ass whooping Jey was gonna give him.

"How the fuck we get them out? We all got fat ass fingers." EMI said looking at his hands.

"Auntie A is gon whoop our asses."

"Correction, my dad is gonna whoop our asses."

"Language. But whoop yall for what?" Kandice asked from the doorway making all six boys jump.

Eli looked straight at his youngest brother, "Don't you open your mouth, Thing Two."

"She's gonna find out anyway, E," Koda sighed. "The twins and Simba were playing a game and it went wrong."

"Went wrong how? Matter of fact," Kandice paused to laugh to herself, "Come here, Simba."

Kandice squatted so that she could look at the four year old. She immediately saw the blue m&m in his left nostril, then looked at the boys.

"Twins, did yall do this?" They both nodded. "Did Simba help?" Again they nodded. "Did your brother and cousins give yall the candy?" Silence.

"So yall don't hear ya auntie talkin to yall?" Jimmy asked stepping into the room.

They quickly confirmed.

Jimmy looked at Simba, laughed then walked out of the room.

"Come on. Let's go downstairs and show your parents," Kandice told him grabbing his hand. "Y'all come too."

The twins and Eli went to hide behind Jimmy once they got down to the living room. Koda and Eli stood as far back as possible. Roman was the first to see Simba.

Jey, Apryl and Trinity saw his face drop and turned around. Jey rushed to pick Simba up, red in the face with anger.

"Why the hell do I see a blue m&m in my baby nose?" Jey asked angrily.

"Cause me, Jadyn aand Simba put them there."

"Snitch!" Jadyn yelled pushing his twin. Jimmy and Eli popped him.

Apryl laughed a little bit but she didn't think it was funny. With this happening the chances of alone time were slim to none.

"We left the three of yall in charge, how this happen?" Jey huffed.

All three teenagers started to talk at the same time, including Eli sucking his teeth and Koda complaining about how his sibling didn't have these problems.

"Koda," Kandice called softly.

"Yes ma'am?"

"Close your mouth, you're not helping."

"But, Mama. I..."

Roman glared at his son. "You heard your mama, close it or I will."

Koda zipped his lips and threw his hands up.

"Look, we apologize, Unc. They're kids, they learned their lesson. Its cool." Eli reasoned standing behind Jimmy.

Jey cut his eyes at his nephew. "And the three of you gon learn a lesson when I put my foot up yall asses."

"I mean, Unc, you only got two feet and it's three of us sooo."

Trinity slipped off her sandal and chucked it at her oldest. "Boy shut your ass up. If yall asses wasn't sitting in here talking about that trip, that yall asses not going on no more, y'all could've been watching them. You know they bad as hell."

Apryl rolled her eyes seeing Jey try to pull the m&ms out Simba's nose and called out to her oldest.

"Ma'am?"

"Get here, NOW!"

Koda jumped then pushed his cousin towards Apryl causing him to bump her a bit.

"Your ass better hope and pray that your daddy get to you before I do," she threatened through gritted teeth, "Cause if I do your ass gon be in the emergency room right next to your demon brother."

"Nice knowing you," Eli waved them ducked Trinity's other sandal that came towards him.

Tyrell approached his nephew and Paul: I may not like it but you make my mama happy. Continue to make her happy and won't be no issues with me or my brothers. Happy thanksgiving Mr. Paul.

Grandma Jones smiled seeing Jadyn and Jalyn: Yes, may I help you boys?

Russ: A few days. How about you? You still in Georgia?

Carlito hummed: the water Mommy. You otay?

Ardian poked his lips out: Nothing.

Jackie nodded: Yeah we are. As mad I was seeing him talk to the baby did something to me.

Nico: Well Eddie Kang Jr. was the most talented one. Where's Gladys Knight and Otis Williams?

Eli: After being kicked out of your house and Aunty Apryl house. Then when y'all cut all my shit off. That was a wake up call. @nanicles

Parental Paragraphs / Daddy Ro Fluff Series

With Simba's birthday coming up the three families were spending a lot more time with each other. Trying to plan took all three sets of parents and the older boys running errands or babysitting. They spent this day at the Reigns' house.

"Y'all plan on havin another?" Jimmy asked his twin.

Jey shook his head immediately. "Hell no. Simba and Lo is enough. You see all these gray hairs."

"Well I want a lil girl," Apryl pouted.

"You must gon borrow Haleigh cause you won't get one from me. I'm gettin fixed."

Apryl pushed Jey's shoulder turning her attention to the other treo ladies. "What about y'all?"

"Jimmy wants another boy but I don't think my nerves can handle another boy. The twins and Eli are exactly like him," Trinity laughed. "No thank you."

Kandice shrugged at the question. "We want another but Koda and Haleigh have made it very clear that we're not allowed to have anymore."

"Yeah, Koda said his luck it'll be another girl," Roman laughed, "Princess stresses him out enough."

"STOP TOUCHIN MY HAIR!" Haleigh squealed loudly.

"NO WAY!" "NEVEEEEER!" The twins yelled after her.

Simba let out a loud attempt at his uncle's war cry. "HOLD HER DOWN! I GOT GLUE!"

"Who gave his bad ass glue," Apryl asked getting ready to get up. Jey stopped her telling her to wait. "She'll go to the boys first," Jey assured her. The next thing the parents heard were loud footsteps running from one end of the upstairs to the other. Then more arguing.

"STOP YELLING!" Koda's voice boomed through the house quieting the younger children. "Why are y'all yelling anyway?"

"THEY KEEP TRYING TO PUT GLUE IN MY HAIR," the 13 year old pouted.

"GET HER BRODDER! HOLD HER DOWN!" Simba yelled once again.

"SIMBA, GIVE ME THE GLUE! WHO GAVE YOUR BAD BUTT GLUE ANYWAY?" Milo asked in a strained tone that told the parents he was holding his little brother back. More commotion ensued which meant they were now fighting.

"AYE!" Eli screamed. "WHICH ONE OF YOU GREMLIN TWINS HIT ME IN MY EYE?"

"LET ME GO, KODA! I'M GONNA TAKE THAT LIL MUNCHKIN OUT!"

"NO, HAE! AUNTIE APRYL WILL TAKE YOU OUT!"

"GET THOSE DOUBLEMINT TWINS OFF MY HAIR, KODA!"

Kandice reached out to pat Roman’s knee and he called out for the children to come down. A minute or so later the seven children came down the stairs still pushing and arguing quietly. They stood in the living room in front of their parents. Eli reached out to pluck his little brothers behind their ears for hitting him in the eye which started another fight between all of them.

"Hands in your pocket!" Jey yelled stopping their fighting. "Now what is the problem?"

All the kids stated to talk at once. There was something about glue in hair, playing a game, complaints about being hit and kicked and Simba just letting out another war cry.

"STOP! STOP! One at a time." Trinity sighed. "Hae, you first."

"I was watching YouTube, minding my business and those munchkins tried to attack me and put glue in my hair," she said glaring at her younger cousins. "Then they tried to attack me and my KoKo." Koda wrapped his arms around his little sister for the dramatic effect.

"Okay. Milo?"

"All I know is they ran in there jumping on us then bad butt," he said flicking Simba's arm, "Told me to hold her down and tried to attack again." Simba glared at his big brother then kicked him in the shin making Milo yelp.

"Feet to yourself," Trinity repeated. "Eli?"

"Look, all I know is one of these gremlins hit me in my eye and if it's bruised they're both bein put up for adoption."

"Jadyn and Jalyn, y'all have something to say?"

"No, Mommy," they answered.

"Simba?"

"AAAAAAAAAAH!" He yelled jumping on Haleigh’s feet.

"Oh that's it," she sneered picking the young boy up and turned him upside down. "Koda, open the back door. He's goin in the pool."

"Koda, don't you move. Princess, give him to his parents," Roman instructed quickly. Haleigh narrowed her eyes and tossed the young boy into his father's lap. "Who gave you glue, Simba?"

Simba laid against Jey's chest trying to look as innocent as possible. "It was in TK room. I borrow it."

"Were you supposed to be in there, Josiah?"

"No, Daddy. But Jadyn open the door."

"Hey! That was not me, that was Jalyn!" The eight year old said pointing an accusatory finger.

"Snitch," Jalyn mumbled.

"Stop arguing. No more arguing," Kandice demanded softly. "Y'all have done enough of that for one day. All of you sit down and calm down." None of the children moved just glared at one another.

"I think she told y'all to sit y'all asses down." Apryl repeated with a slight raise of her brow. She watched them all until they sat down peacefully.

Jimmy started to laugh catching them all off guard. "Y'all remember when we didn't have kids?"

Jey nodded. "Good times."

"Don't talk about us like we not here. That hurts," Eli asserted touching his chest.

"Yeah," the other kids agreed.

Apryl shrugged at him. "We love y'all but y'all are A LOT."

The women invited their fiancés over to their shared apartment for dinner and a surprise. "Sooooo, are y'all gonna say anything?" Kandice asked. Apryl, Kandice and Trinity had just watched their other halves open their cards. And now they sat in silence.

Jey looked at his card, at his fiancé then back at the card. "I'm confused."

Roman scratched the back of his neck, still staring at the card. "What's a DILF?"

"I ain't make shit."

All three women sucked their teeth. "God I hope these babies have our brains," Apryl huffed.

"Babies? Who having a baby? I didn't agree to none of that," Jimmy said quickly.

Trinity sucked her teeth. "I think we both agreed to it when you let your little swimmers loose."

"Kandi," Roman called softly, "You still didn't tell me what a DILF is."

"Dad I'd Like to Fuck, slowness. But now I dunno about all that."

"So y'all tryna tell us that the three of y'all just happened to get pregnant at the same time?" Jey asked putting the card in his lap. "Y'all planned this."

Jimmy got up from his seat to examine Trinity, stepping back in surprise when he lifted her shirt. "What's that?" He asked pointing at her stomach.

"It's a baby bump, fool. I'm almost four months," she said moving his hand to her stomach. "You can't feel him or her move yet but there's a baby in there. Our baby."

"How far are you?" Roman asked.

"Two months almost three," she approached him standing in between his knees. "I just look bloated right now."

"And you," Jey asked nervously.

Apryl smiled putting a hand to her pretty much flat stomach. "Just hit two months."

"Are we ready for this? I mean these are babies." Roman asked. His voice shook with anxiousness.

"Whether we're ready or not they're coming, Roman. One quicker than the others," Kandice joked looking back at Trinity and Jimmy.

"Mama is gonna beat us. You can tell her Jimmy."

Jimmy sucked his teeth. "I'm not worried about her. I'm worried about Pops, he gon whoop our asses. And then he gon fuss and i don't wanna hear that shit, dog."

"Y'all are 21. Are y'all really that scared? He's not gonna whoop y'all," Trinity laughed.

"Nah, nah," Roman shook his head, "You're sayin that cause you don't know. He is gonna beat them."

"Oh, please." Kandice laughed. "You're scared too I take it."

"For them, yeah. I'm just tryna figure out what to do with a baby. Never had one."

"I should hope not, Roman. None of us have either, we'll get through it together."

Apryl folded her arms across her chest. "All I know is, these babies are coming whether y'all are ready or not so y'all better do whatever you need to do or I'm getting my knife."

With that threat, all three women walked out of the living room to the back room slamming the door behind them. The men sat quietly, staring straight ahead until sniffed filled the room. Roman and Jimmy stated at Jey in confusion. Jimmy sucked his teeth. "I know you ain't cryin, Uce."

"Shut up," he fussed wiping his eyes. "I'm emotional, shit. I'm having a baby, mane. This is serious."

"But is it serious enough to cry?" Jimmy asked laughing.

"Fuck y'all, I'm happy."

"I'm happy too but my apartment is too small for a baby." Roman sighed.

"Bruh," Jey laughed through his tears. "A baby ain't that damn big. He'll be cool." Jimmy sat quietly, his mind moving a mile a minute. "You alright over there, big bro?"

"What are we gonna do with babies? Shit, they take care of us most of the time. And they want us to be responsible for lil tiny ass humans."

"It'll all work out, Uce. But right now we gotta fix what we just did," Roman said standing from his seat.

"Did y'all really bring cribs home, Pop?" Koda asked laughing.

"That and a bunch of other shit," Apryl laughed. "Cribs, play pens, tubs, bottles, clothes. Our lil ass living room was filled with shit from y'all daddies."

"But had we known what we know now," Trinity chuckled. "None of y'all would be here."

"What? Mama you told me I was your pride and joy. The best thing that ever happened to you." Eli said scrunching his face.

"Did I?" Trinity asked still laughing. "Must've been drunk or sleepy."

Camila blushed a little and started to sing: I don't know what it is that you've done to me but it's caused me to act in such a crazy way.
