Lloyd beta reads the heck out of them and constantly makes "suggestions" to a) make sure they're accurate b), make himself cooler c), limit the amount of bashing of the other ninja, and d) he does like them khgfdfgd, and as Harumi values his opinion so highly she takes him up on everything. Otherwise he doesn't actually care that she's writing them since she's actually putting him in a good light, and the ~romances~ are hardly anything more than hand-holding or a kiss on the cheek. But holy smokes he cannot let the other ninja find out–

Lloyd: I like this plot point with the Green Ninja saving the reader from being crushed by a tank and all, but does the Fuchsia Ninja really need to die at the end...?

Harumi: It adds some ~spice~ to the otherwise basic plot. It helps sets me apart from those other X-Reader writers :3

Lloyd: But sometimes...a basic plot...is good!

Lloyd: You should totally have the Green Ninja using more weapons in the fight scene, he really likes cannons and rocket launchers. And maybe have him say more nice, general things about the reader, I get the impression he's the type not afraid to tell people what he really thinks of them, but he could still be a little shy. ...And I think you should an explosion behind them as they sail away on the dragon mech instead of a sunset, sunsets are so over done

Harumi: IDONTHAVEACRUSHONTHEGREENNINJA—I mean, I was just really in the mindset while writing!!!! it's a good thing to do, Lloyd!!!!! You're not a writer; you wouldn't understand!!! What better way to understand your character than putting yourself in their shoes, obviously!!! IT MEANS NOTHING

Lloyd:

Lloyd: ......I mean, I wouldn't blame you if you did—he is a pretty heroic guy, and is probably super cool, and smooth, and strong, and awesome, and probably has an excellent taste in a dagger and knife collection—

Harumi: Oh my god, SHUTUP...!

What's an object/location that the ninja associates with their love interests?

Kai: a stained-glass window letting in the light to a cozy cafe / the brilliant spot of clarity within the eye of a storm / a jagged seashell found abandoned and worn on a storm-torn beach

Jay: a lighthouse overlooking a seafoam coast at the hour of twilight / a campfire settled in a forest that exudes safety and warmth / the first ray's of the sun that peek into a bedroom through blue silk curtains

Cole: the frost that settles upon the lawn on a crisp, cool morning / a midnight sky filled with countless stars and infinite galaxies above a mountain range

Zane: the artificial yet determined glow of a city skyline from across the bay

Nya: A steady lightbulb that shines on into the deepest hours of a night / a piece of seaglass found amongst jagged rocks; edges smoothed from years of wearing down

Jesse: the first bite of a freshly-baked cake in the comfort of home

Lloyd: sometimes, the light at the end of the tunnel; sometimes, the entrance to the abyss

If Harumi and Lloyd had a child which let's just say they could inherit the green element and the gold essence or [REDACTED] and void. Which one would they get?

They are all a part of the balance so they would technically be the same level of importance so which one would the child inherit?

Theoretically, if their genetic makeup is somehow suitable despite the odds, they would inherit Green/Gold, with Harumi acting as their counterbalance. If their genetic makeup isn't suitable but their natural Attunement level is ideal for Void/[REDACTED], then they'd inherit that, with Lloyd acting as the counterbalance. If neither conditions are met, the child inherits neither, and the parents remain counterbalances to each other.

...unless you are Lucina, who overrides these conditions by being given all four at the same time (which is possible only because her parents were dying anyway), as this would still yield an automatically balanced state, just within herself with no need for an external counterbalance...with the draw back being it's very, very easy for her to slip out of proper attunement and. Y'know. Explode from all the power within her. Just because something can be done, doesn't mean it should...!

especially because instead of harumi looking to betray him from like the beginning, they become actual friends first and kind of have a blossoming relationship before BOOM ANGST

I really did genuinely like the progression beats with show!llorumi (the budding relationship, the tension, the betrayal, the following drama, the agonizing afterwards—) but I always thought it would’ve had waaaay more punch if we’d been given more time for Harumi and Lloyd to have more of a foundation + she had a more grounded reason to come to despise him in the first place, yet more space to properly manifest a “redemption” if that’s the direction the show really wanted to take… hence why Harumi was brought in so early here (that, and if a big chunk of her story was how she was affected by the GD attack anyway, then I could totally capitalize on that *-*)9 )

But yeah, this is gonna hurt!!! (On top of the other things I’ve mixed in…such as drawing on the parallels of their characters, the [Redacted] stuff…and young!lloyd being the one to save her from the building… but adult!Lloyd being very much unable to T-T)9

Why JadedGoldshipping as the name?

Because:

I want to separate Legacy!Llorumi from actual!Llorumi since the dynamics/circumstances are different enough to warrant it (though they do have similar beats/development)

Don’t want to instantly scare people away any time something has a ‘llorumi’ tag on it, but still want people able to filter it out if it’s something they don’t wanna see at all

‘Greenjade’ is already actual!llorumi’s alternate tag so can’t use that

‘Goldjade’ sounds stupid

‘Jadedgold’ sounds muuuuuch cooler

“Jadedgold’ has a double meaning which we’ll find out in later seasons, of course :3
