okay worst walks-of-shame in genshin, ranked from 'kinda bad' to 'i would rather die'. my mind's been in a weird place, today.
5) kaveh/alhaitham. it doesn't matter which. if one of them is railing you in that apartment then you WILL have to walk past the other and he WILL be judging you. it's a much smaller scale but they make up for with sheer intensity.
4) childe. there's a couple of factors involved here, including 1) the embarrassment of having fucked childe and 2) the fact that he is absolutely not hinged enough to have a reliable place to throw down and therefore considers 'the woods less than a mile away from his legion's encampment' a great place to get his dick wet and simply will not think about how you might feel about limping back to your tent wrapped in his coat and nothing else. at least he's in it with you tho.
3) diluc. he gains points bc he does ask you to spend the night but immediately loses those points bc he lives in a vineyard in the middle of nowhere. he'll fuck you on a bearskin rug beside a flagstone hearth but that will do nothing about the post-coital hike you'll have to take back to the city when he's done. don't even think about trying to get him to fuck you at angel's share, either. he is not failing another health inspection bc of you.
2) wriothesley. as was discussed previously, a walk through a prison's central hub + a five hour elevator ride + an emergence directly into the main hub of polite society is not the recommended come-down from getting your back blown out by the second most pent up man in fontaine. you can either grin and bear it or start bringing formal wear to your dick appointments. a human rights' violation either way.
1) ningguang. it's not even a competition. she CAN fuck you on the ground but she WANTS to see how pretty you look splayed across every horizontal surface in her jade chamber and you're the one who's going to have to suffer for it. she'll pay for your lawyer if you chose to sue for the emotional damage waiting three hours for her magic elevator while her secretaries look at you with varying levels of mortification will cause.

Riddle: Why are we here in the Mirror Chamber?
Vil: I received a call from Rollo and he wanted us to watch MC's cosplay performance.
Idia: He allowed them to cosplay?
Azul: I'm guessing he had no choice.
Malleus: What is a cosplay?
Idia: A cosplay is when you dress up as someone. It's mostly common to anime or cartoon fans.
Kalim: Will it be someone from Hazbin Hotel? I think it's someone called 'Carmilla Carmine', isn't it?
Idia and Azul: ...
Idia: You watch Hazbin Hotel?
Kalim: Yeah! It's a great show! And I like the songs very much! *beams*
Azul: ...What song is your favorite-
Leona: When will the cosplay performance start?
Vil: In a few minutes.
Malleus: Shroud, would you mind teaching me how to record a video?
Idia: Uh yeah, sure.
Riddle: Oh. It's starting.
The Dark Mirror: *shows MC cosplaying as Carmilla Carmine*
Kalim: Yay! I'm right!
Vil, Malleus, and Idia: *in amazement* Oh.
MC: I see you're driven by your detestation.
MC: Your every step is stoked with animus.
Kalim: *squeals*
Riddle: I-
Vil: They're dancing on pointe! Why didn't they tell me that they could do that?!
Leona: Because you would probably tell them to practice every day.
Malleus: *lowkey fanboys*
Idia: Uh, Malleus? Don't forget to click 'record'.
Rollo: *looking at their feet*
Rollo: Are they not broken yet?
MC: A little. But I need to give Carmilla justice so it's okay. *satisfied expression*
Rollo: You are really a weirdo. Anyway, I showed your performance to your friends.
MC: ...........
MC: You what?
Rollo: Why? *smirks* Are you shy?
MC: ...
MC: *embarrassed noises*
Rollo: *chuckles*
Malleus: I will show this to everyone in Diasomnia.
Leona: Herbivore scares me.
Kalim: I hope MC comes back soon so we can cosplay together!
Vil: Yes. I can't wait to see them again.
Riddle: *nervous for MC*
Azul: That was a fantastic performance. I will ask Jade to visit them.
Idia: Uh, why?
Azul: To ask the Prefect to perform in Mostro Lounge, of course.
The vice president: Great job, MC!
The secretary: You're famous now!
The vice president: Though the students are asking if your feet are okay after that performance.
Rollo: They're crooked now.
MC: ...
MC: At least it's not that crooked like your personality.
Rollo: What now?
The vice president and the secretary: *chuckles*

Ningguang Birthday 2023
Tumblr media
Happy birthday to Ningguang!! Not me being one day late to post my waifu's birthday fics once again but ugh exam season. Anyways, I combined all the scenarios shown in her birthday art, comic and mail this year for this fic so hope you guys like it! I will also be doing all Ningguang requests in my inbox today to celebrate her day! <3
Game: Genshin Impact
Characters: Ningguang x fem!reader
Type: Fluff
The Tianquan of Liyue was known for many things, her wealth surpassing all perhaps. The Tianquan of Liyue was known as many things; calculative, materialistic, intelligent among many more. Some would say she had no care for finite possessions for the mora she possessed was infinite; however, she had proved to all she was much more than the exquisite woman she appeared to be. She was Liyue's guiding star and protector, shining down on it as brightly as the Jades she possessed. Yet, a part of her was still unknown to many, not even her closest secretaries knew of it....
"Lady Ningguang, the Yuheng declined your invitation to play Liyue Millennial today." Baiwen informed her lady on one pleasant morning when the Tianquan was surprisingly free of her never-ending duties.
"Oh? Did she state the reason?" Ningguang questioned.
"She said she has some personal matters to attend to and cannot give so much time to the game."
"I see....And what about Captain Beidou? I heard the Crux is currently docked in Liyue."
"Oh, they left last night, Lady Ningguang. We did send the invitation to her but received no reply..."
"Hmph, as expected of her.....And what about the other invitees? I assume everyone denied as well."
"Y-Yes, Lady Ningguang...." Baiwen replied hesitantly.
"Hmm....I didn't expect that new card game to become so popular and make everyone enamored with it. Hehe, it can't be helped, I suppose. Chess mates are becoming hard to find, if only she was here...." Ningguang paused and stared into empty space before sighing, "Is there anything on my schedule today, Baiwen?"
"Yes, Ms Yun Jin asked you to witness her new show today at 1 pm, she also made arrangements for lunch. Everything else was moved to other days to give you time for yourself, milady."
"Hehe, how considerate of you. I understand then, you all are dismissed for the rest of the day as well."
"O-Oh, thank you very much, milady!" Baiwen bowed with a smile and exited Ningguang's office gleefully. Ningguang sighed and rested on her table while pondering deeply, "It has been like this for months now, till when will I keep playing on my own....? What's the point of a 2-person game if there is no partner? Hmph, I'm sure the excitement for that card game will fade away soon and Liyue Millennial will stand the test of time...."
Ningguang squinted her eyes and sat up then walked outside to the external platform of the Jade Chamber, gazing at the scenery in front of her. Her eyes wandered over to the distant sky adorned with fluffy clouds and she suddenly spotted a faint twinkling of a star.
"Heh~ To be able to spot the brightest star on a sunny morning like this....The higher you stand, the closer you are to the sky, after all."
A smile formed on her face as she observed the star before it was no longer visible due to the bright sun illuminating the sky.
"I wonder if I'll spot a shooting star tonight....It would be nice if our very own shooting star came here today but I suppose that's wishful thinking...."
She looked down at the city and decided to take a walk around until it was time for Yun Jin's show. She went through the market and asked for a few things but didn't buy any as there was no requirement and there was nothing new worth investing in. She then reached the venue for Yun Jin's play and watched the stage being set-up before Yun Jin walked out and began her performance.
"This is from the new piece I've been working on. What do you think, Tianquan Ningguang?" Yun Jin asked at the end of her performance.
"Wonderful. It hasn't been long since we last met but you've surpassed yourself once again, Yun Jin." Ningguang replied earnestly.
Yun Jin beamed a smile then moved her gaze to the other people in the audience and was caught by surprise for a moment spotting a familiar figure.
"What would you say?" Yun Jin questioned while looking at a person behind Ningguang.
"As Tianquan Ningguang said, it was really wonderful."
Ningguang's eyes widened hearing the all too familiar voice, she then slowly turned around to see none other than the shooting star she had wished to meet not so long ago.
"Y/n?"
You smiled, "It has been a while since we met, Lady Ningguang and Yun Jin."
Ningguang's heartbeat fastened for a moment before she composed herself and stood up while clearing her throat, "Pleasure to meet you again as well, Y/n. How has your journey been going?"
"It's been good so far. I was missing Liyue hence thought to visit..."
Ningguang smiled at your confession, "My~ Of course, you are always welcome here. Come, have a seat. We were about to order lunch."
You accepted Ningguang's proposal and sat on the table with her and Yun Jin as a feast was being served. Ningguang was not expecting to see you today of all days, she wondered what really was your reason to come. Was it a mere coincidence that you chose to come today of all days or was there something in your mind? However, she realized she didn't care for the reason.
When she sent invites out to her associates to play chess with her today, she had written one for you as well but refrained from sending it in the end. She knew you were more than enough capable of matching against her in Liyue Millennial, you had done it before. But she didn't know what was in your heart. Ningguang always liked being able to predict the next move of those around her, but you were the most uncertain piece on her board.
"What new region have you visited now, Y/n?"
"Oh, I went to Fontaine from Sumeru. I still have more things to do there but I had to do a few errands at Mondstadt recently then decided to come here too to meet everyone...."
"Hehe~ And here I thought your annual trip to Liyue would always be for Lantern Rite. You surprised me yet again~"
You chuckled softly and continued eating until bidding farewell to Yun Jin and being in the marketplace together with Ningguang.
"Well, I suppose you have to meet your other friends now, Y/n. It was good to see you again and I hope your future travels are as pleasant as ever." Ningguang spoke with courtesy before turning around to walk away but you stopped her.
"U-Uh, Lady Ningguang, if you aren't busy then may I take some more of your time? I wanted to say a few things...."
"Oh? Well, it's your lucky day then as my schedule is free. Come, walk with me. However, there is one condition~"
"W-What might it be....?"
Ningguang sensed your nervousness and chuckled before walking up to you and leaning close to your face, "You will not call me 'Lady Ningguang' for the rest of the day~"
You blushed seeing her up close and nodded, "I understand...."
Ningguang smiled and proceeded to walk and you accompanied her, you looked around the bustling marketplace and tried to start a conversation but were unable to. Ningguang was ethereal in your eyes and you'd always get slightly nervous around her as you didn't want to disappoint her in any way. You knew she held you in high regard and you wanted to maintain that impression.
"Well? What might it be that you wish to converse with me? Are you facing some kind of financial problems? Or perhaps you need help in some kind of business-related commission?"
"N-No, none of that....Well, I am running short on Mora recently but I wouldn't come to you for that."
"Why not? I'd be more than happy to assist you. Of course, I wouldn't just hand you a bag of mora but I can get you sufficient work that pays well. With your skills and caliber, there are a number of high paying jobs suitable for your needs and many would be more than willing to hire you just from hearing your name."
"Haha, I see....I'll keep it in mind for the future."
"Well? You haven't answered my question."
Ningguang stopped walking and turned to face you, slowly becoming suspicious now.
"A-Ah, it was actua—"
"Oh, if it isn't Y/n. How are you doing recently?" a familiar voice called out to you and you turned around to see none other than Keqing waving at you.
"Keqing, long time no see. I'm fine, what about you?"
"I'm the same as ever. I see you already met Ningguang. So, what brings you to Liyue?"
"Nothing much, just thought to meet everyone."
"Haha, that's great. Now that you are here, want to have a duel with me? I recently updated my deck~"
"Oh, right now? You don't have any work to do....?"
"Hah~ The next appointment isn't until 2 hours, I went around asking others if they are up for a match but everyone was already engaged in another and I haven't found any opponent...."
Keqing briefly paused and glanced at Ningguang, "....and a few others don't like playing it anyways."
"I-I see....Well, I don't really have any work right now so—"
"Oh, that's perfect then! Come, there are a few empty tables at Yangshang Teahouse."
You hesitated to reply then looked over at Ningguang, "....Would you like to come along, Ningguang?"
"Oh, don't bother with Ningguang. Genius Invocation TCG is too low for her status~"
"I see..."
Ningguang squinted her eyes at Keqing's remark then glanced at you and saw a pleading look on your face, seemingly indicating that you wanted her to come along. She didn't understand it, why were you so eager to have her there? You could have just left her and went about your merry way.
"As it happens, I'm rather interested in seeing a duel between our Yuheng and the esteemed Hero of Liyue~"
Ningguang mused with a smirk and Keqing sighed then the 3 of you made your way over to Yangshang Teahouse and settled on a faraway table before taking out your decks and setting up a duel. Ningguang noticed that your deck revolved around her card, she was the main damage dealer and all your supports were tailor-made for her. While she felt proud that you had invested in her card, she knew Keqing was quite formidable and her deck was rather advantageous against yours. Still, she was betting on you to win nonetheless.
The game gradually became more heated as none of you were backing down, even attracting a crowd of on-lookers to the interesting match. Both of you had lost one card each and were close to reaching round 5, Ningguang had already figured out Keqing's strategy by observing her play so far but she was quite stunned by you. She actually couldn't figure out what your play was, she thought of many options seeing your cards but you'd always make an unexpected move and prove her wrong.
"Oi, Lady Yuheng is actually being cornered....Haha, as expected of Liyue's hero!" someone chimed from the crowd, eliciting more similar remarks all around. Ningguang chuckled looking at you, "Always so interesting....If only you showed such keen interest in Liyue Millennial too."
The match finally came to and end as you defeated another card of Keqing and she decided to forfeit as she knew she can't make a comeback with her remaining card. You emerged victorius with a resounding applause from the crowd and appreciation for a good game from Keqing.
"Well played indeed, Y/n. I didn't know you are such a good player in this as well." Ningguang remarked.
"I have played many matches going all around Sumeru, Inazuma and Mondstadt by now. But you flatter me, Ningguang, I still have room for improvement."
"Hehe, that's good to hear. The game has been very popular all over Teyvat, no wonder you were dragged into it as well."
"....Is it true you aren't a fan of it as Keqing said?"
"Well, I wouldn't say that.....I simply find it too simplistic for my tastes. I did enjoy it in the beginning but I don't see myself continuing in the long term, I'd much rather spend time on my chess."
You looked at her with a smile and nodded in understanding when a few more people approached you inviting you to duel with them. You felt overwhelmed with the crowd gathered around you and noticed Ningguang had walked away to give them space. You politely declined everyone saying you had other commitments and caught up with Ningguang.
"N-Ningguang, wait! There was something I wanted to say!"
Ningguang stopped and turned around to look at you when you saw a surprising expression on her face. You didn't ever imagine you'd see the Tianquan of Liyue making this kind of expression; full of loneliness and sadness....
"Ningguang, what's wrong....?"
"Hm? Whatever you might mean, Y/n?" she feigned innocence, swiftly changing her expression back to normal. You knew she was hiding something. You looked up at the sky and saw the sun was slowly setting, the light still spread in the sky but you couldn't wait any longer.
"Ningguang, is it okay if we go to the Jade Chamber? It'll give the best view."
"Best view for what?"
You smiled, "You'll see. Just trust me, will you?"
You extended your hand to her and she hesitated for a moment then took it and you both walked to Yujing Terrace to ascend to the Jade Chamber. By the time you reached, the sky had darkened further which was good news for you. Ningguang was about to take you inside as usual but you stopped her on the external platform and asked her to watch you. Ningguang waited in anticipation and mystery, she had absolutely no idea what you were going to do.
You looked up at the sky and saw stars appearing then took out a launch tube and placed it on the ground before turning around and facing Ningguang. Her heartbeat suddenly fastened as excitement engulfed her thinking of the possibilities of what was going to happen. You then took a deep breath and launched a firework in the sky which burst into a brilliant crimson light illuminating the words- 'Happy Birthday Ningguang'
Ningguang's eyes widened reading the words, did you have this planned all this time? Was this your main reason for coming to Liyue? More fireworks were released in the following minutes, all containing different drawing and words that described her, or at least described her as you thought her to be- beautiful, kind, selfless, elegant, compassionate and many more. She was truly taken aback, it felt like the whole sky belonged to her and was wishing her on her special day. Her surroundings were nothing but the brilliance of these fireworks that you created.
"Ningguang." your sudden voice reached her ears and she moved her gaze towards you. You smiled at her and said, "Happy birthday." A firework burst behind you at the same time with the words, 'I love you' and she was the most surprised now. How were you always capable of catching her off guard was beyond her. Nobody could do this to her, yet here you were. Her heart was beating faster than ever, the fireworks ended long ago but the thumping of her chest still resounded in her whole body.
At last, she calmed down and regained her demeanour with a smile on her face, "Thank you very much, dear Y/n. This was magnificent and that in the end....was that true? Did you mean it?"
You smiled and nodded, "It is....everything was true. Each and every word was from the bottom of my heart, it is what I have felt for you ever since we first met...."
Ningguang smiled as well, "....Was this your real purpose for coming here today?"
"It was....I just wanted to celebrate your birthday. I know this isn't much but—"
"Don't say that. I don't care how much it was, it's the thought and effort that counts and I'm feeling blessed that you did this for me...."
Ningguang walked closer to you and suddenly embraced you, "I love you too, Y/n. Thank you very much for this."
Your eyes widened and you slowly wrapped your arms around her body, "I-It wasn't much...."
Ningguang chuckled, "Would you believe me if I said I had wished to meet you today?"
"What...?"
Ningguang released the hug then looked at the stars in the sky around you, "I wished to see a shooting star today and was reminded of you since you also came in this world as a shooting star, after all. Hehe, it seems I ended up wishing to a shooting star indeed and the Archons heard my wish."
You blushed hearing her words, "I-I see....By the way, the sky is really beautiful from here. The stars seem so close...."
"Mhm, the higher you stand the closer you are to the sky. I did build this Jade Chamber to be the guiding star of Liyue, it is only rightful I should be among them."
You gazed at her as she looked at the stars then were reminded of her expression from earlier, "....Doesn't it get lonely at the top?"
Ningguang was caught by surprise at your words and looked at you in surprise, but by now she had gotten used to your unpredictable nature and simply smiled.
"Well then, wouldn't you stand by my side being Teyvat's very own star?~"
You blushed, "It would be my honor...."
You gazed at each other with a smile and you felt intoxicated, bewitched by her. The night sky around you adorned with stars emphasized Ningguang's beauty even more, her own self twinkling with them. You released your arms from around her and stepped back then took out a Kamera and pointed at her.
"Oh, you would like to capture this moment for me?"
"Yes, I still have some fireworks left too."
"A lovely suggestion. I heard that many people in Fontaine take pictures to celebrate their birthdays nowadays."
"Yes, it is quite crazy over there when it comes to technology...."
You giggled and set up another launch tube by the time Ningguang chose a spot, you then took out 2 Kameras and alternated between them in taking photos of Ningguang with the stars and fireworks.
"My, I didn't think you would have such a collection of different Kameras. It seems you are quite potent when it comes to photography~"
You smiled then finished clicking the pictures and showed to her, "These are really well taken. I'll keep some of them and you'll keep some too, right?~"
"Yes, I'd love to...."
You said in a daze as you watched her stand beside you and happily look at the photos.
"O-Oh, is there something you'd like to do? We still have time left until the day is over, I feel bad that we barely did anything worth a celebration."
Ningguang smiled softly and caressed your cheek, "You made the day special enough for me by coming here and doing all this. But still, if you insist, I do have something in mind~"
She held your hand and pulled you inside the Jade Chamber, taking you downstairs to her office where you saw a game of Liyue Millennial was laid out on the table.
"Did you play with someone today?"
"Oh....well, I invited a few people but everyone refused giving one excuse or the other. Keqing even had the audacity to say she personal matters to attend to then was happily playing that card game with you."
She sighed bitterly and you remembered her distaste for TCG then spoke, "Are you having trouble finding chess mates nowadays due to TCG?"
"....Yes, that is true.  Everyone is quite enamored with it; I even got some complaints saying that chess is too difficult and stressful and that I should simplify its rules."
"I see, that's unfortunate....I would love to play with you from now on. Truth be told, I have gotten quite bored of TCG having played it so much. Not to mention, playing chess with you is an incomparable experience...."
Ningguang blushed at your sudden compliments, "My. You never fail to impress me, give that sweet tongue of yours a rest for some time, would you?~"
"I-I'm sorry but I was just saying the truth...."
"Hehe, well then, would you care to indulge me with a game now?"
"Of course, as you say."
The two of you sat on opposite sides of the table and took out chess pieces to arrange on both of your sides, the rest of the game hadwho already been set hence making it easier and faster to start.
"Hmm, would you mind if we make the game slightly different than usual?" Ningguang suggested.
"Not at all. What shall we do?"
"Every time one of us loses a piece, the other gets to ask a question or order them to do something. How does that sound?~"
You suddenly became nervous of Ningguang's mischievous suggestion accompanied by the smirk on her face, "Uh, are there some things we can't ask or do?"
"Well, I'm open to everything. But if you want to keep some boundaries then I will abide."
You pondered for a moment and thought of certain possibilities causing you to become slightly flustered then nodded, "Okay, I'm fine with everything too."
Ningguang's smirk widened, she knew what was going on in your mind and she would be lying if she said she wasn't thinking the same things. She let you take the first move and you finally began playing, an interesting and heated game of Liyue Millennial ensuing.
"My~ Rarely anyone can match up to me this way and keep me entertained, I knew I was right about her..." Ningguang pondered with a smile.
The game went on for some time until you finally lost your first piece, and the first ever piece in the whole game hence giving Ningguang the first chance to ask something.
"Hmm....well, I'll give an easy one since it's the first loss. Have you had your first kiss yet?"
Your eyes widened in shock, "T-This is easy?!"
You looked at Ningguang's playful expression then replied with a slight blush, "N-No, I haven't...."
Ningguang chuckled in amusement and squinted her eyes looking at you, subconsciously licking her lips then continuing the game. Next was your turn to ask her something as she lost her first piece.
"Um, have you dated anyone before me....?"
"I was confessed to and even offered marriage proposals but I refused all. So, you are my first— in everything~"
You knew what Ningguang implied by that, and you truly hoped it would come true. The game continued more and you continued asking each other questions, some rather intimate but nothing overbearing. Ningguang was winning hence got more chances to tease and fluster you from her questions, also enabling her to know more about your likes and dislikes.
"Hmm, let's change the direction of the questions now. This time, I ask you to take off your shirt~"
"H-Huh?! That's a huge jump all of a sudden!"
Ningguang smirked, "Let me rephrase it then. I order you to take off your shirt~"
You were further shocked and tried to protest but she was unhinged, "Don't forget you agreed to everything, dear Y/n. I don't take lightly to people going back on their words~"
You gulped and eventually nodded then proceeded to slide off your shirt and keep it aside, sitting in front of the Tianquan in just your bra and pants now. Her gaze trailed all over your exposed body, cunningly observing your features as if they were an intricate design carved by the finest of hands. The game then continued and you finally got your chance to make her do something too.
"Uh....t-take off your dress....."
You gathered all your courage to say that, earning a short chuckle from Ningguang who expected this, "How bold of you, dear Y/n~"
"I-It's only fair, right?"
"Hehe, you are correct...." Ningguang stood up and proceeded to untie the strings of her dress, you intently watched her remove her accessories starting from the fur around her neck, down to her finger claws then finally slide down her qipao and standing in her black lace lingerie. Your face heated up as your eyes subconsciously took in her features, her perfect curves and breasts all in front of you to feast on.
"You are staring a bit too much, dear Y/n. Hold in your urges until later tonight, will you?~"
"I-I don't have any urges!" you exclaimed bashfully and looked away while she sat down at her place with a giggle, "How adorable you are...makes me want to have my way with you right here~"
The atmosphere between you two grew tense as the game continued, you were struggling to keep your eyes off Ningguang's body while she was enjoying this little game too much. She was much swifter in stealing glances at you and made it seem she was focused on the game rather that the immoral thoughts she was having.
"The next order I have for you is...." Ningguang trailed off and stood up from her seat then walked towards you, your heartbeat fastening as she came closer. She then straddled your lap facing you and wrapped her arms around your neck, your heart skipping a beat at her action.
"....Kiss me~"
Her thumb brushed across your lower lip and you put your hands on her waist to pull her closer as she leaned in and connected your lips together. Her soft and moist lips gently cuddled with yours, a blissful feeling spreading in your body at the contact. She was everything you needed, only you knew how much you had held back all this time to hold and feel her this way. Without much thinking, you grabbed her tighter and suddenly pushed her to the table making her lie lean on it while you kissed her passionately.
Surprised by your sudden rough movements, she wrapped her legs around your waist and pulled you down to kiss you deeper. Your tongues entangled in a heated manner, heavily breathing into each other's scents. She moaned into the kiss as she felt you rub against her abdomen, her nails digging into your back as you went down to kiss her neck. Your hand slid towards her thigh and caressed her dragon tattoo, a low chuckle leaving her lips sending vibrations in you.
"And here I thought the Hero of Liyue was much more restrained. You knocked off all my pieces in one go, it seems I'm obliged to follow all your orders now~"
You blushed then grinned, "Well, I did knock out my own pieces too so that makes us equal and considering you were already winning earlier...."
Ningguang continued, "....I'm the true winner and get to order you once again? Is that what you want?~"
"If that's what you want to give me as my return gift, I'll gladly accept it~"
"Haha~ A return gift, you say? And here I thought you still had more gifts to give me~"
"You still want more, Tianquan Ningguang? You do realize you'd have to give a fair amount of return gifts then?~"
"And you think I cannot afford that?~"
Ningguang smirked wider and you smiled then snuggled into the crook of her neck, "What do you want me to do, Tianquan Ningguang?~"
"Stay with me on this lonely night and many more lonely nights to come. Be the star that shines beside me and never leaves me alone"
You leaned up and looked into her eyes, "I accept the contract, my Tianquan."
You smiled at each other and passionately kissed once again, her legs tightened around you and you lifted her off the table to carry her to her room and lay her on the bed. The Tianquan spent the night together entangled with her lover, she no longer felt lonely being at the top of the world and knew you would always be by her side in any and everything. She looked into her mirror next morning after a passionate and lustful night and caressed the marks left by you on her neck. Of course, she had to get you back for it. No wonder you were given strange looks by people as you left the Jade Chamber later with a red kiss mark adorning your cheek that she so discreetly made as a goodbye kiss.

How do you feel about a/b/o forced marriage/arranged marriage with female characters? If you like the idea, which of the Genshin characters would you like to go with that route? I felt like Eula(if she had any privileges of her family), Ayaka and Ninguang would be interested. It’s really interesting
ABO is ok at best by itself. But top that with forced marriage and it becomes a gourmet meal đŸ€€
- headcanons w/ eula, ayaka, ningguang and Kokomi (in that order)
Mild dead dove content below the cut!!
-----
Eula, before defecting from her family, would absolutely abuse her privilege and power as a Lawrence member to 'steer' you into her path. She would be ruthless in eradicating her contenders with any means possible. She would be persistent in pursuing you. She is educated, trained, resourceful and practical, seeking to use any means available to her to forcefully garner your interest.
Unlike the rest of your potential interests, she has no more reputation left to spare, so anything goes. Even underhanded murder isn't off the table. If she has to play the villain, saving you from those disgusting alphas, she would cultivate all that negativity and turn it into productivity. You don't need to understand her motive, because no one does but herself, and she's already gotten used to that. But you're not getting away from her, and she makes that abundantly clear when she corners you at a fancy ball, silent and imposing, but ready to waltz with your hands in hers- whether you like it or not.
-----
Ayaka would be so much more covert in pursuing your interest. It would start of far more innocent at first- extra make-up, inviting you for little dates, catering to your tastes whenever you visit the Kamisato estate. Even going so far as to rigorously studying your usual schedule and planning ahead for deviances when you begin to show signs of interest in someone that isn't her.
That's when it gets more intense. Her hands become so much colder and rigid holding yours. Her gentle disposition stays unwavering, and yet her gaze doesn't feel present. She's a tad bit more pushy when it comes to inviting you over to her home for tea and dango. Sweet little Ayaka is a gentle summer breeze, a generous breath of fresh air, but when winter comes-if you aren't prepared- the icy storms can entrap you in a deadly ballad.
-----
Ningguang is purposeful and upfront when she confronts you. At first, you can be in it for mora. Your life starts humble, but suddenly you're filthy rich and a hundred feet off the air, reigning over the city of Liyue. You get to enjoy all the fine food and wine imported from whichever region you ask for. Your clothes are silky smooth, jewelry sparkling, and you haven't seen the same dress twice. Ningguang is generous with her mora, but she is certainly not generous with her expectations from you. You can't leave the jade chamber. The only woman you can look at is her- not even her secretaries- and if you so much as glance up by mistake, you're punished and locked in solitary confinement until you 'understand who you belong to'. Your heats cannot be suppressed- she will take care of it for you in its entirety.
If- when you are expecting, she becomes even more controlling. Your diet and exercise become closely monitored by specialists (whom you cannot spare a glance at). You don't even get to choose your clothes anymore. You are an object of her affection. A mate, for her to love and cherish, but not to share. After all, the Tianquan likes to keep her private and work life separate.
-----
An honourable mention that I think would absolutely take advantage of her position to snag a little submissive and breedable cutie off the streets for themselves:
Kokomi: a stressed out (and admittedly pent up) tactician enthusiast turned war general and divine priestess of Watatsumi actually gets pressured into finding a mate (real; not click bait). She kind of just picks and chooses some random bloke minding their own business from the side and it happens to be you. You can't really say no, not in front of everyone, not in front of the divine priestess, so like, you're just forced to go along, back into the shrine with her.
You grow on her a bit, and eventually she kind of just uses you as a crash pillow after a long day of being a leader and doing leader things. It's not terrible- still technically forced, but she's open for suggestions on how to be a better, more communicative mate. A little awkward and too formal to be a spouse, but she eventually loosens up enough for comfortable conversations over dinner. Most of it is about your day, and the rest is just her being a nerd about war strategies, and stuff. Perhaps it's best you let her grow on you, too.

Lovestruck Ajax!àż àż”*:
call it unjust or prejudiced, but you’ve always found those with hydro visions a bit conceited, whether they know it or not. but that’s mostly due to childe’s fault. [drabble but more like a ramble] i just finished the fontaine story (no spoilers in the drabble!) and i just love him
‎ܓ perhaps it was thanks to the cruel hands of fate that you have had the displeasure of meeting such a man. his laughter was obnoxious, his eyes as deep as the sea; his smile is that of a fox’, and his bravado is so tall, you ought that its fall would be more cataclysmic than the fall of the great jade chamber.
àŒŠ but if you chalked it up to fate, then perhaps you would think that celestia fancies itself a citizen of fontaine with its love for drama and theatrics.
àŒŠ truly, there was nothing truly pleasant about the man they call ‘ajax,’ ‘childe,’ ‘tartaglia.’ his names don’t matter, he’s annoying all the way.
àŒŠ at first you thought him quite handsome, save for the soulless blue eyes he has. you’ve bumped into him near the northland bank when you were browsing the books at the wanwen bookhouse, and you’ve chat with him a couple of times.
àŒŠ you met again at the wangsheng parlor where he was particularly acquainted with the funeral director’s stoic secretary or whoever he was.
àŒŠ by the tenth time, you wonder if you’re being stalked by the man with how often his face pops up even when you’re in sumeru, inazuma, monstadt and any of the seven nations!
àŒŠ if you managed to find the land of khaenri’ah, you wouldn’t be surprised to see him there, ‘browsing the many places.’
àŒŠ he would strike up a conversation without fail, always with that grin that makes you wonder if he’s practiced making such a stupid face in the mirror.
✎⟆ “oh, [y/n]! what a coincidence, i was just visiting mister zhongli! what brings you at such a grim place?”
✎⟆ “fancy seeing you here, my friend! it’s— it’s almost as if we’re fated to meet.”
✎⟆ “s-since you’re here anyways, why don’t i treat you to some dinner?”
àŒŠ each time you find a reason to leave, you managed to get dragged back with promised words like a sumpter beast following a baited stick! not to mention how often he trips over his own words like a man trying to formulate a lie on the spot! ᝰ
àŒŠ he doesn’t even hide the fact that he’s following you at times! even at the desolate deserts of sumeru, even in the dangerous plains of tatarasuna and somehow even found you in the chasm?!
àŒŠ to have been found so intriguing that a harbinger of all people would be stalking you! it unsettled you to no end how much he loved stalking you! what does a sinister figure want with you!?
✃- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
˚◞♡ unbeknownst to you, childe was simply truly enamored with you and your little adventures.
˚◞♡ he’s grown to love how powerful and formidable you are when it comes to fighting. (even if your enemies were mere slimes!)
˚◞♡ he’s been meaning to ask you out directly on dates but your unsettled features and worried expressions made you look so adorable that he couldn’t help but tease you.
˚◞♡ he’s never had trouble with talking to people, but it seems he finds himself stumbling over his own words; perhaps it was because you were his weakness but the smile on his face never seems to fall with you around.
★⟆ “childe..”
✎⟆ “ajax,”
★⟆ “right, ajax, childe, tartaglia.. how did you find me here?”
✎⟆ “oh haha! i frequent this place a lot. you know, it’s quiet and peaceful. great for pondering,”
★⟆ “you.. frequent the chasm’s underbelly..?”
˚◞♡ bleegh! he’s so quirky and wacky, a harbinger not fluent with the language of deceit? say it ain’t so!
˚◞♡ he’s given you bouquets of rainbow roses, calla lilies and even mistflowers!
àŒŠ it’s sweet and all but how did he get into your house?
˚◞♡ leave it to ajax to solely revive the tradition of courtship just for you to return the same fervor. bouquets, dates and ‘fated’ meetings are no issues so long as he gets to be with you.

Cold fall rain pours on the tall buildings. Cars driving down the wet streets, you type out a document on your monitor the light illuminating the barely lit room, only a few lamps that cast a warm orange glow across the room keeping the atmosphere from being uncanny, you sip hot tea from the mug its calming aroma wafting through your senses providing warmth through your bones. Your boss works on the other side of a big burnt umber door with gold embellishments. He is currently meeting with Ningguang CEO of Jade Chamber Bank or JCB for short, you put the mug down and stretch your arms above your head looking over at the time 2:57 PM, eighteen minutes until the meeting is over then you can go home.
You sigh and finish your tea, standing from your chair letting your legs stretch and wake up for a moment, then walking towards the kitchen to wash your cup placing it on the drying rack. You hear Zhongli’s voice as he opens the door for Ningguang “When should we meet again for the finalizing?” She inquires “I would discuss that with my secretary she knows when I have a free day.” He hums peeking his head out the door to see if you’re there “Very well then, It was pleasant seeing you again Mr. Zhongli” You walk back into the room as Ningguang goes to leave “It was nice meeting you Ma’am have a good afternoon” you say nodding your head towards her, she sends you a smile “Nice meeting you as well secretary” she waves her hand back at you her gold heels clicking on the marble floors towards the door and walking into the hallway. You smile at the woman her confidence radiating wherever she goes, you go to head back to your desk but Zhongli’s silky voice stops you “Can you come in here for a moment?” “Yes sir” You Respond walking towards his office he holds the door open for you, and you walk over only for you to plop down in one of the comfy seats in front of his desk. He sits in his office chair his amber eyes focusing on you as he laces his fingers together and his elbows on his desk “I have a proposal for you” he hums “Oh? And that is?” You ask genuinely curious. “I need a companion of sorts” he looks away from you ‘Is he embarrassed?’ you wonder “What kind of companion?” tilting your head to the side and slightly raising a brow he takes in a deep breath “I need you to be my girlfriend” he admits his eyes meeting yours, you feel your face heat “Mr. Zhongli t-that's widely unprofessional” you look down at your palms “Wait before you assume” he puts a hand up “I simply need you to help me out for a few weeks, I need to stop relieve some stress” his voice remains steady “It’ll come with pay” his eyes making you nervous as you look at him “Can I have time to mull it over?” you ask looking at the clock on the wall 3:15 PM “Yes, please give me your answer as soon as possible so I can have time to prepare” he sighs. You agree and quickly slip out of his office pressing against the cold wood of the door.
You sit back down at your desk, the rain pattering the only thing making noise. You try to get as much work done as possible but your mind is swimming, but you come up with your answer. You stand up and walk to his office door knocking on the wood “Come in” his smooth voice resonates, you step in and your ears perk up at the soft jazz he plays from his small speaker “I have made my decision.” “Oh?” He looks up his eyes gaze curiously at you “I have agreed.”
He grabs your hand his wide gloved palm and slender fingers warming your cold hand, he shifts the umbrella so it covers you more “Mr- I mean dear there is no reason to do that” his shoulder getting the blunt of water “It is quite fine love” His warm eyes stare at you “I- we can just go to my apartment it’s only two blocks away” You invite as Zhongli tightens his hold “Fine if you think that is best” you were originally going to dinner for publicity but it began pouring and you refuse to get sick any less Zhongli. You bring him to your apartment building, close the red umbrella, and walk into the elevator clicking your floor. The tan walls and black rails give Zhongli nostalgia like staying in a nice hotel out in Fontaine, he watches as you dig into your purse for your keys pulling them out of some hidden pocket “I wish they would just give us some damn pockets on our pants” he hears you groan making him chuckle under his breath, you send a playful glare his way zipping your purse back up. You stand in silence as the elevator finally approaches your floor opening the doors, “Ladies first” he hums placing his hand on your lower back noticing the reddening of your cheeks.
You stride into the hallway and find your door unlocking the door, and stepping in. Zhongli closes the door behind him taking off his shoes and placing his wallet and keys in the basket where you put yours “I’ll go find you a sweater, feel free to make yourself at home” you call as you walk further into your apartment, He looks around at the pictures hung on the wall, the nice but cluttered kitchen, the small dining table pushed up against the big window next to the balcony door, the living room with a few plants in the windows. You come back holding a black and beige sweater and a pair of black pants, you also now wear a fluffy hoodie with white pet hair on it and a pair of shorts also covered in pet hair  ïżœïżœHere this should fit you, oh let me hang that up to dry for you” You trade off the clothes and you disappear into your bathroom hanging it up in the closet where you dried your clothes and kept your towels “Alright bathroom is yours” you hum walking into the living room “Thank you” Zhongli walks past you as you pick up the clutter from the coffee table, he closes the door and undoes his tie and his undershirt hanging it up on a hanger next to his coat as well, he unfolds the sweater and pulls it on doing the same with the pants. He takes off his gloves and his hair tie and puts it in his coat pocket combing through his hair, he hears you turn off the weather channel to see when it’ll stop. He walks out “How is the weather looking?” he asks stepping up beside you and noticing a small white cat on your lap “It won’t stop raining until later tonight, I can drive you home if you’d like” you offer looking up at him, blushing slightly as you admire his long hair now free from that tight ponytail “Do you want me to go home?” he questions “No of course not, it’s just well, I- to be honest I hate being alone on rainy nights” you pet your cat as she purrs louder, Zhongli tilts your chin to look at him “Then I’ll stay” you nod “Well I don’t have much in my fridge, and we haven’t eaten yet. How about we order something?” You offer, and pick up your phone much to your cat's dislike “Sure, since our plans have been foiled, what do you suggest?” He hums “Pfft, you make this sound like we are plotting villains or something” You chuckle “But I do know this good Sumeru curry place that does take out” You pat the seat next to you for him to come sit. He smiles and does so, your cat surprising him by stretching and finding a place in his lap “What’s her name?” he asks scratching under her chin “Lettie it’s a character from Howl’s Moving Castle” you sigh stroking her long soft fur, he feels you lean against his arm “Here are the options you can get” Zhongli feels a warmth spread through his chest at the simple act he watches as you scroll through the menu recommending your favorites “How about this one?” He points to one that looks very good “I was thinking of that one too” you hum leaning your head on his shoulder, you call the restaurant and place your order with some butter and garlic naan on the side.
You grab the remote “What should we watch?” you inquire “You pick, dear” he looks at your expression watching as your face pinkens at the nickname “Are you all right with Princess Bride?” Zhongli surprises himself as he lets out a laugh “I never thought you’d be into that kind of movie” he exhales in contentment Lettie’s tail moving in disruption you chuckle with him “I am gonna go grab a blanket I’ll be back” you stand up and go into your bedroom coming back with a fluffy weighted blanket you turn down the lights and turn on a lamp that casts a comfy orange light setting a warm and romantic atmosphere, Zhongli lifts the cat so you can slip some of the blanket on his lap you switch on the movie.
There's a knock on the door “Let me get it” Zhongli whispers “Okay, let me pause the movie” You sit up from his chest and grab the remote pushing pause. Zhongli slips off of the couch and to the door grabbing his wallet and handing the man a ten-dollar tip “Thanks man, stay warm” the guy says “You as well” Zhongli hums closing the door, bag of food in his hands he walks into the kitchen and sees your already there with two bowls, a plate, and silverware all waiting “Would you like some water or anything?” you question grabbing two mugss from a cupboard “Do you have tea?” “Mhmm, I have Green, Jasmine, or Earl Grey” You look through your lazy susan “Green, please” You put the bag on the counter, filling up your kettle with water and putting it on its stand so it can heat. Zhongli washes his hands the aroma of lemon and mint resting on his hands, he walks over and puts the curry into the bowls and the naan and rice on the plate, he hears the kettle beep, and as you start steeping the tea. He looks back over his shoulder letting the gentleness of it all fill his heart with warmth, he walks over to you “Can I hold you?” he whispers into your ear “If you want to” he quickly wraps his arms around you and nuzzles his face into your neck your hair ticking his ears “Are you alright?” you inquire “I realized it’s been so long since I’ve held someone like this” even if it was for pretend he can pretend with you. His hot breath warms the cold spot on your neck your heart swells at the sweetness of the moment, like sitting by the heater on a snowy day reading with hot chocolate and cookies. You lean into him “I could get used to this” you mumble focusing on the tea, you hear your cat run down the hallway the little jingling bell on her collar announcing when she is nearby, and her little “Mrow?” and trills when she can’t find you or feels left out. You snort as she runs into the kitchen weaving between both of your kegs “Is it dinner time Lettie?” you tease your wide smile making your speech slur a little, Zhongli presses a kiss behind your ear unwrapping himself from you “Thanks I needed that” he clears his throat “Any time” you hum “Do you want me to feed her?” he asks picking up her food bowl “If you would that would be great, it’s in the fridge second shelf purple can.”
You both sit back down on the couch and resume your movie, shoveling the hot food in your mouths scratching that persistent itch as the curry fulfills your cravings.
In the end, Westly gets Buttercup, Inigo, and Fezzik are close friends, everyone lives happily, and the boy has a wonderful memory with his grandpa.
"Let's head to bed" you yawn "Where am I sleeping?" he yawns himself "Don't be silly, there's enough room in my bed for the both of us." "That woul-" he tries to interject "It's my job" He sighs but smiles and follows you.
And now two people and a cat cuddling under soft blankets as cold fall rain patters against the glass.

In the moment, you just knew; your feelings for him had never faded away.
It was as if the currents of time had kept your feelings for him hidden, carefully tucked away in a secret chamber of your heart. They lay dormant, patiently biding their time, while you busied yourself with the distractions of life after graduation. But the second you caught a glimpse of his aquamarine eyes, it was as if a dam had burst, unleashing a torrent of long-suppressed emotions that flooded your being.
Your friendship with Azul had been forged in an unexpected twist of fate, woven together by trust and mutual benefit. It all began when Jade fell ill after consuming a poisonous mushroom he had foraged on one of his hikes. In a moment of urgency, Azul found himself desperately in need of a temporary replacement.
At the time, the two of you were merely acquaintances, barely exchanging more than a few polite words. However, when Azul approached you knowing you had the skills to alleviate his mountains of paperwork, which he had seen from Crowley’s increasing spare time, you agreed to stand in for Jade as long as he would pay you handsomely.
Looking back, you’re so glad you agreed to help, and even more glad he had offered you the position.
As you took on the role of Azul's secretary, you discovered a harmonious synergy between your skills and his needs. Your efficiency and attention to detail complemented his demanding work style, creating a seamless workflow that allowed him to navigate his responsibilities with ease. It was a delicate dance, a symphony of coordination and cooperation.
But amidst the professional arrangement, something unexpected unfolded. Beneath the facade of business transactions and financial arrangements, you soon found yourself enamoured with Azul's charismatic charm and intellect, his genuine appreciation for your support and efforts. Really, how could you not? You loved how he seemed so proud to others, yet he would show such vulnerable sides of himself when Floyd would push his limits. You loved the way his face would soften, the hint of a subtle, soft smile that graced his lips when you brewed his favourite tea just right. The genuine gratitude in his eyes as he whispered a heartfelt "thanks" echoed in your mind, warming your heart. And you loved how even after Jade recovered, he noticed how overworked and weary you were, the dark circles under your eyes deepening, and he let you rest on the couch in his office, his trench coat acting as a comforting blanket that smelled of him.  Time slipped away as you slept, the entire duration of the restaurant's bustling hours, yet he remained faithfully by your side to watch over you.
Oh, you loved him, without a doubt.
But you were also a coward.
You wished so dearly to express your feelings to him, to summon the courage and hope against hope that he might, just maybe, reciprocate your affections even just a little bit. But the sheer intensity of your emotions weighed upon your heart, casting shadows of doubt and uncertainty. Should you confess the depths of your emotions now, or would it unravel the delicate threads of the beautiful friendship you had painstakingly woven together?
In the end, fear had won the battle. The fear of rejection, of irrevocably altering the dynamics that had kept you so close. And so, after graduation, life took you on separate paths, causing you to drift apart, your feelings fading away into nothing but a fond memory of your school days.
Until now, that is.
Azul sits across the table from you, a vision of charisma and charm. His presence alone fills the restaurant with an undeniable magnetism. The atmosphere crackles with a sense of anticipation, mingled with a tinge of bittersweet nostalgia. The twins, Floyd and Jade, were supposed to join you both for this reunion lunch, but Floyd had conveniently fallen ill, and Jade stayed behind to look after him. It's as if fate has conspired to create this moment, this opportune time for the two of you to reconnect.
As you gaze at Azul, you can't help but notice how he incredibly handsome he is, even more so having matured over the years. His curly silver hair delicately frames his face, adding a touch of sophistication to his appearance. His cool blue eyes shimmer with a hint of shyness and fondness, drawing you deeper into his gaze.
Lost in conversation and the delectable flavours of the meal, your attention is suddenly drawn to Azul's tender gesture. His hand reaches out, moving with graceful precision, as he gently tucks a stray strand of hair behind your ear, ensuring it stays clear of the food. The touch is tender and intimate, a subtle act of care that leaves you breathless. In that fleeting moment, a surge of warmth courses through your veins, igniting a flutter of butterflies in the depths of your stomach.
But before you can fully savour the intensity of the moment, Azul's voice breaks through, laced with a hint of apology and concern. "Oh... sorry..." he mumbles. His hand retreats, as if realising the potential discomfort he may have caused. The fleeting touch is gone, but its impact remains as you feel your cheeks warm at his actions.
Oh, you're still hopelessly in love with Azul, just as you have always been.
A rush of emotions floods your being, creating a whirlwind of conflicting desires. You yearn to tell him how his touch ignited a flame within you, how it awakened feelings that have long been buried beneath the surface. But fear and uncertainty hold you captive, trapping the words within the depths of your heart.
"No, Azul," you say softly, summoning the courage that lies within, offering him a reassuring smile. "You didn't make me uncomfortable. Quite the opposite, actually."
His eyes widen in surprise, as if a weight has been lifted from his shoulders. A flicker of relief dances in his gaze, mingling with a renewed spark of hope.
"Oh... I'm glad then," he answers, his lips twitching in a manner that you know is his attempt to hide his embarrassment. A soft blush tints his cheeks, adding a touch of warmth to his already captivating features.
You feel the tension between you easing, and a sense of comfort settling in the air. The nervousness that had consumed the space between you dissipates, making room for a new energy, an anticipation of what lies ahead.
"Azul, you mentioned you're in need of a new secretary, right?" you inquire, seizing the opportunity to steer the conversation towards the unspoken desires that have silently entwined your hearts.
He nods, his brows furrowing slightly as he tries to comprehend the direction of the conversation. The corner of his lips quirks up in a curious smile, silently urging you to continue.
"Well," you pause, your voice soft but filled with determination, "do you think I'd be fit for the job?"
The room seems to hold its breath, waiting for Azul's response. His gaze lingers on you, his eyes searching your face for any hint of jest or uncertainty. There is a moment of silence, pregnant with anticipation, as the weight of your words settles between you.
A gentle smile graces Azul's lips, radiating warmth and affection. The flush on his cheeks deepens, adding to his irresistible charm. In that instant, he becomes the epitome of loveliness, a sight that captivates your heart and steals your breath away. His vulnerability, displayed in the gentle quiver of his lips, only makes you appreciate him more deeply.
Azul coughed gently as he covers his mouth, an attempt to regain composure and gather his thoughts. His gaze briefly averts, the vulnerability replaced by a sense of composed professionalism. His words stumble out, laced with a touch of awkwardness, but beneath it all, his true intentions shine through.
"W-well, obviously we're going to go through the proper procedure and an interview
" he stammers, the uncertainty in his voice betraying his attempt at maintaining a façade of formality.
But then, Azul's hand finds yours, his fingers intertwining with yours. The touch is delicate yet electric, sending a jolt of warmth coursing through your veins. The colours intensify, the air brimming with an electric energy that crackles between you. And when he speaks, his voice becomes a soothing melody, a sound that resonates within the depths of your soul, a melody you long to hear every day.
"But Angelfish," he says, his voice a tender caress that wraps around your heart, "you would not only be fit for the job, but you would bring a light to my days that no other secretary ever could. I can think of no better person than you."
His words penetrate the barriers you've built around your heart, shattering the doubts and fears that have plagued you for so long. A surge of joy and relief washes over you, manifesting as a bright smile that graces your face. Your eyebrows furrow shyly, a remnant of your school days, as if you're transported back to that time when everything was new and uncertain. But this time, there is no more running away, no more holding back.
This time, you would surely become his.

You’ve definitely become one of my favorite Elvis writers on here, Marina.
And I wanted to ask you, are you planning to do more Elvis series? Like a series of Hollywood!Elvis, where he fights to be a serious actor and falls in love with one his co-stars. Or more Elvis AU, since we already have Pirate!Elvis. For example Cowboy!Elvis. Spy!Elvis like a James Bond or Agent Elvis. Mafia!Elvis. Even a Superhero!Elvis.
I think you’d do such a good job bringing all those concepts to life đŸ€
My sweet anon, thank you so much, what a kind thing to say, I’m so glad my writing has brought you joy. 💋🌾💋 As for AU’s I did start a series about Hollywood E, yet never finished it. And for now I’ve got riverboat Captain E and father figure E to chew and that’s a lot on its own
but never say never. I think this would be something I’d have to have pitched to me and see if it resonates? So far I’ve not fully cooked up anything else original that hasn’t been done better by others. I’m always happy to dish out recs, fyi.
BUT THAT SAID
I’m messing around with little snippets, a filthy fairytale in collaboration with @elvisabutler and this demented Regency Elvis headcanon below that “my sexy secretary” @ab4eva took down from a chat. Enjoy

I Bet on Losing Dogs -đŸ„€ A Regency Elvis Blurb
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
18+ blurb, warning sexual content ahead, arranged marriage, romance novella style stuff
Imagine this: Regency Elvis whose wife has recently left him for a foreigner, taking with her his only child -a daughter who cannot inherit. He needs an heir.
Zero promises of love or fidelity or even bare respect for his new wife but
there’ll be position and status and jewels so long as you perform your wifely duties without complaint.
Jaded and lonely, I need freshly betrayed Elvis buying off a nobleman for his daughter, a Baron who’s mortgaged his estate for debts, Mr. Presley gets the association with your family’s nobility and you get the much needed wealth that new money brings.
And so your new husband comes in nightly in an embroidered robe and a solitary lit candle to consummate your union. He’s got all that chest hair displayed and a lil ponch of a belly showing out his robe as he slowly undoes the tie every night, never rushed, and you can feel the jitters down to your toes every time as you hug the sheet to your chin.
*Let go, Darlin,* he’s always murmuring as he pulls the sheet from your grip, *must do what needs done*
He fucks you hard and fast for such a delicate woman and then tosses you spending money to make up for it.
Reminds you after each visit to yoru chambers that you have a job to do. One single job.
*Gimme that son and maybe you’ll get that sea bathin’ ya been hankerin’ for*
(Elvis is from Yorkshire if he was ever transported to an English Setting AU, ok? No question, unless the question is Irish versus Yorkish)
Each time, when he finishes and pants into the humid crook of your neck, his hand blindly strokes away your tears and he whispers in gravelly apology, *I’ll leave ya alone, moment ya start to swell, I swear it, I’ll leave ya alone lil girl*
But that’s not why you’re crying, you wish he’d stay, he doesn’t know how cold you get when he leaves you and his sweat and spend cools on your skin and leaves you shivering.
You could curse the woman who laid here before you, who broke his heart and still haunts this place, like the wall opposite the bed with its outline of a portrait missing on the sun-bleached wall.
You wonder what she looked like, this missing wife.
You wonder if she secretly craved the burning stretch of him like you do, possibly not if she left for someone more
continental. Was he too voracious for her? Or was it the loneliness that finally ate her through like the moths who try the same with the bed canopy.
One night, Mr. Presley’s hand slips from your shoulder down to your breast, very rarely does he maul you there except in his direst paroxysms of pleasure, but tonight he slips and grabs and it’s so sore you nearly cry aloud from the ache.
*I swear I’ll leave ya be* he had said and you bite your lip savagely, cinch your corsets cruelly and wonder how to make him love you, tolerate you even. Anything so that you’re not left alone like he promises.
Are your breasts sore from being with child? You worry so.
So the next night you scheme, and when he shakes atop you and catches his breath and makes to roll away, you grab hold of him and keep him close.
*Six months* you murmur, and he seems confused by your meaning, *six month’s you’ve visited me nightly save for menses and Lent, and no child to show for it. Won’t you stay? Nurse says if the man remains
after
the chances are greater.*
Ensuing cockwarming between two people who’ve barely spoken outside of bed
little chats
because neither can sleep and in fact, he doesn’t really sleep that much at all, he admits.
*what do you do then? At nights?* you ask.
He reads a lot, he tells you and he’s got a telescope, and you tentatively ask if he’ll read to you.
He agrees with a shy *i-if ya want that, I will*
About the books. You asks if he will tonight instead of leaving and he says yes.
Then he hesitates and asks lowly, *can we
once more?
before?*
He asks if he can do it again, before he grabs the books, because he firmed up again while acting as a stopper in your warm cunt.
You’re already a wet mess down there and perhaps he moves you around, spoons you.
Puts himself back in and you’re so wet from what he gave you before and your excitement at the intimacy you feel in this movement.
And due to the difference in angle, for the first time, you actually come from the feeling of your husband inside you. His flaming hot body behind you, his thick arms wrapped around your body, the delicious rub of him in your womb.
And you’re quite sure you’ve already made a child but he doesn’t need to know. Not yet.
Anything to keep him coming back.

Captain Beidou once said that the Jade Chamber smells opulent.
Maybe you’re just used to it, but it smells more like comfort and security rather than something untouchable and decadent. The sheets of your bed are soft, but less soft than the body that shared it with you so frequently. Your reflection glimmers back at you from the shining floors, but you don’t pay it much mind as you sit at the edge of the bed and rub at your eyes.
The other side of the bed is cold; she never came to bed.
Lady Ningguang took care of you in a myriad of ways. Financially, emotionally, intimately
But right now you’re feeling just a little bereft. Maybe that’s selfish, but Ningguang had been very particular at the beginning of all this that you were allowed to be selfish - as long as you’re good. She likes it when you’re selfish.
So you pull on her robe, wrap it tight around you to emulate the approximate pressure her arms would give, then make your way across immaculately shining floors and through golden doorways, up the stairs to her office where she sits exactly in the way she’d been hours prior when she hummed her sweet promises to you.
Ruby eyes lift to you when you crest the stairs, looking at you with something unreadable over the rims of her glasses. It must be one of those nights if she’s having trouble keeping her vision straight without them. Lower lip jutting out just a little, you close the distance and see the way the powder on her face has worn thin through the day, leaving the circles beneath her eyes just dark enough to show her exhaustion.
“Lady Ningguang, you know you can leave this to your secretaries-”
Ningguang’s glasses are removed, settling on the desktop with a quiet tap, “Some things require a more personal touch,” and then her eyes dart to you again, suddenly focused and alert with a subtle curve of painted lips, “Things like you, little gem. Come here.”
It’s her invitation, yet you accept it with all the giddiness as if it were your idea for such a thing. The sound of her robe slipping across the floor follows along after you as you round her desk and hop up to sit in a deliberately cleared space, one that never is cluttered with paper or writing implements. Not even a single ring from Ningguang’s teacup is left in the space meant only for you to occupy.
The golden accessories on her third and fourth finger brush against your skin as she fondly runs a palm up from your knee to mid-thigh, then back again. “I could do with a little distraction. Indulge me, won’t you?”
“And then you’ll come to bed?”
Ningguang smiles up at you, placating but ultimately truthful in its existence, “If you’re good, perhaps it’ll clear my mind and I’ll work quickly.”
And you can be good. You murmur this to her and you get a little flash of teeth from her smile before she turns back to her work, writing with her dominant hand while the other drags little circles over the skin of your thigh. Being good means sitting still, not letting your legs swing idly over the edge of the desk. It means not fidgeting when she takes her time, moving at her own pace with idle circling movements, higher and higher - then lower again.
Instinct tells you to quietly plead, to give platitudes and petulance until she gives you what you want. Except Ningguang has always had a habit of doing things her own way, and that often means subverting any sort of expected outcome. Whining wouldn’t encourage her, it would only drag this out longer.
It’s not easy, but it is what’s important, so you bite down on your tongue and close your eyes, sitting as still as a statue as she works on everything atop her desk, including you.
Ningguang’s tongue darts out for a moment, wetting her lips and wearing down lipstick that’s already well past its prime after such a long day. The motion almost distracts you entirely from her quiet musing of, “Don’t think I don’t notice what you’re wearing.”
“It smells like you. I was cold.”
“Even my pretty bed warmer catches a chill, it seems.” Fingers raise higher than they’ve been, the tips brushing against the place where you want her most, only for her to slip away again. “Did you miss me so much, my little gem? I’ve been rather neglectful of late.”
Quickly, you shake your head, but she squeezes your thigh and you fall silent as she continues, “I love when you try to console me, but it isn’t necessary this time. That is the truth of the matter; I’ve left you wanting.”
Maybe a little, but you’d never say it out loud. Ningguang has done so much for you, given you invaluable treasures and trinkets, a place at her side, a gilded cage that you always held the key to if you wanted to unlock it and fly free. To come and go as you please. But what purpose would it serve to be back on the ground when everything you’ve wanted is right here, fingers slipping forward with precision, a smile on painted lips and shadowed eyes?
Your shoulders roll forward, reflexively hunching as her thumb sweeps across your clit with little warning. A little laugh leaves her, pleasant and highly out of place within the situation she’s put you in, but it warms your blood nonetheless to see her pleased with you. So when she does it again, your fingers curl around the edge of the desk just as your voice curls around a whimper of gratitude.
With her thumb still moving, little circles that make it hard to keep your eyes open and on her face for any change in expression, Ningguang nudges your inner thigh with her palm, “A little more for me,” and when you do as she asks, she continues. “Such a good listener.”
A little bloom of pride grows in your chest, but you keep it hidden and simply give her a shaky smile. The compliment is nice, but it goes without saying that you hang off her every word, desperate to please her in any way. It just so happens that your pleasure and hers are tied together at this moment.
You’re wet enough that you could take just about anything she gives you, but all she gives is two. That’s still more than enough to make your breath catch, her fingertips curling and seeking out the spot she’s memorized better than any little piece of information she tears up and sends falling down to the harbor like snow. The Jade Chamber holds only the two of you this evening, and you’re grateful that no one else can hear how your voice cuts sharply through the air in surprised pleasure at the motion.
Ningguang once said that depending on her mood, she either desires complete silence or music to fill the air. It had been rather quiet when you arrived, but the way she strokes you with deliberate attention must mean that she’s looking for the latter. You make such pretty sounds, she told you once, like a song.
So, you sing. You stay as still as she likes and take your impatience out with your grasp on the desk and your voice shaking in unsubdued ecstasy. They echo back at you off the glittering walls, hanging just as heavy as the little wisps of incense that rise in ribbons from the burner near the door.
You break, just a little. Just enough to gasp out, “Please, Ningguang, I-I
 Can I
?”
“Of course you can, darling,” an amused glance over her glasses, another curl of her fingers, a press of her thumb that makes your teeth hurt from how hard you’re clenching them, “you’ve been waiting long enough.”
The permission itself is pleasing enough that it pushes you over, forces you to fall into oblivion for just long enough to empty your lungs of breath with a trembling, keening sound. Through the blood rushing in your ears you can hear her voice murmuring to you in little praises about how good you are, how sweet you’ve been to make sure she’s not overworking. How tight you clamp around her fingers as if you never want her to leave.
You don’t, of course, but she pulls back anyway and smears a bit of your own arousal across your thigh as she goes. It chills quickly, and you shiver as you look at her through half-lidded eyes that have trouble focusing immediately. Ningguang is a smear of white and gold and red that makes your heart race even now, even after something so intimate.
A quiet click signifies her pen being set down, followed by the subtle sliding of her chair across the floors. There’s an ornate box at the corner of your vision, and she reaches across the desk to open it and place her glasses within the silk-lined interior. It snaps shut loud enough to make you jump, and her smile turns apologetic, just for a moment.
“You’ve made a convincing argument so far, little gem. I’ll set this aside for the evening. You’ll join me in the bath.”
It’s not a question. You’ve already had one tonight, but the thought of being comfortable and warm is far too tempting to ever explain that to her. Doubtless she already knows, anyway. Ningguang offers her clean hand to you, palm up and fingers gently curled expectantly. Yours slide across her palm and she helps you to your feet on wobbling knees, the robe falling closed once more and providing you unnecessary decency.
“The Feiyun Commerce Guild has been overreaching,” Ningguang explains once the bath has been run and the steam begins filling the room. Submerged in the water of the large tub, you watch with rapt attention as she tugs the pin from her hair and carefully releases the knot until the full mass of it is free.
Her statement veils something else, and you take a moment to ponder the slope of her shoulders and the meaning. Perhaps to the perception of outsiders, your relationship with Ningguang is more akin to that of a treasured pet. A plaything kept on a shelf and well-maintained. Valuable for what you provide her physically.
But that’s not true - not entirely at least. When all of this started - slowly, then all at once - you learned of Ningguang’s preferences rather quickly. Yes, there’s a physical aspect to it all, and it goes both ways. Yet there’s another need she has, one for an opinion on someone who might not be as savvy and entwined in her business dealings as she and her attendants are.
Ningguang values your input, even if perhaps it isn’t always helpful. A new perspective brings familiar ones back into focus, she has said, and it’s clear now that she’s looking for you to help, just a little. And
something a little more casual, but with far more feeling.
I’m sorry.
Ducking deeper into the water, your lower lip just above the waterline, you answer, “You’ve been busy, there’s a lot on your plate.”
I forgive you.
Ningguang carefully wipes off her lipstick, not even a single smear out of place as she leans at the vanity and looks at you in the reflection. Just that small exchange makes her shoulders lower, lets her gaze turn less sharp. “Tomorrow, my secretaries will finish what I started. If you had to choose, would you prefer Liuli Pavilion, or Xinyue Kiosk?”
The water ripples as she steps in, sinking to sit next to you with little hesitation for how her thigh presses against yours. You sit up a little more, and on instinct your leg hooks over hers in casual intimacy. “Xinyue, but the wait list-”
“Is nothing. Heli owes me a favor, he’ll make time for us.”
And it’s truly as simple as that. There’s no doubt that she’ll make good on those plans tomorrow, and in the meantime you get to bask in her presence and run your fingers through the thick strands of her hair until every tangle has been worked free.
The heating element beneath the bath keeps it comfortably warm as Ningguang tilts her head back, one arm slung over the side while the other holds a faintly smoking pipe aloft. A single smoke ring floats toward the opened window as you prop an elbow on the edge of the bath and watch her start to unwind.
Like tugging at a single strand of silk, Ningguang slowly unravels until her pipe is empty and a subtle impatience starts to curl in your gut. It only takes a single fidget for her eye to open and look at you knowingly. “Finished with your bath, darling?”
Somewhat, you think, and you crack her a little conspiratorial smile in return. Just beyond her reach, her vision glows golden, and the water shifts with minute displacement. Her eye closes again, her lips spreading into a little grin as your leg swings over her lap and you deliberately press against the new addition to her waist. The glittering amber appendage is just as warm as the water as you rock against it.
Held steady by a faint shimmer of gold around her waist, Ningguang needs to do very little beyond watch with silent amusement as you lift, then lower. From parted, slightly-pouted lips, she murmurs, “That’s it, little gem, all the way in. You can handle this much, can’t you?”
“Mhm,” you hum, the sound trailing off into a little whine as you come to rest at the base. Your hands brace against the edge of the tub beneath her arms, and she shifts them to press your palms further against the gilded tile, loosely pinning you. And then you see that glow from the corner of your eye, feel the sensation of what was once enough now becoming excess.
And you moan, your head falling forward to her stark collarbone, nails scraping uselessly against the grout. Ningguang’s voice is sweet in your ear as she asks, “And what about this? Too deep?” A shake of your head, a huff of her amusement, “Say when. Don’t be shy.”
Instead of length, you’re given girth, and you stifle your sounds as little by little, her geo-constructed cock stretches you wider. True to her word, she keeps it slow but doesn’t stop - not until you’re gasping out a plea that it’s enough, that you’re satisfied with this. True to her nature toward you, she gifts you with just a little more than you thought you wanted.
It’s overwhelming, all-consuming. The cock inside you isn’t hers, she can’t feel it herself, yet you find you’re undeniably filled with Ningguang all the same. To have her all around you, above, below, inside
it’s that opulence that’s so often spouted about the Jade Chamber. You take it for granted unless it’s intrinsically woven with Ningguang herself, pushed and pulled as your knees shake and the water shifts with her subtle movements.
To indulge you so completely is euphoric, and you go from burying your head to tossing it back and crying out until it echoes on the pretty walls of the home you share with her. Ningguang is an expert in many things, including the angles of your body, inside and out. The spaces which make you keen and sigh, which cause your voice to grow hoarse with your endless praises and delights. It takes only her hand on your lower stomach to tilt your hips and cause you to come apart around the toy inside you.
But as you slump back against her, content with it all and grateful for what you’ve been given, Ningguang isn’t quite so satisfied. The smoking pipe clatters to the floor as she drops it over the side of the tub, freeing both hands to grasp at your hips and hold you with fingers pressed into your soft skin. You’re lifted, emptied, left trembling and clenching around nothing at all - then she gives it back to you once more.
“N-Ningguang-”
“You’ve waited for this, haven’t you?” Ningguang’s lips press against the side of your head, her breath as hot as the steaming air and the disturbed water. “Take all you can manage, make it worth it, little gem.”
Except you’re not quite sure how much you can manage, and even as you try to tell her so, your voice shakes with prolonged pleasure that hasn’t quite felt like it stopped in the interim between your prior release and this very moment that she fucks deeper into you than she ever has. All you can do is curl in her lap, let her give and give until you can barely force out the syllables for the soft-limit safe word.
Blissfully, she gives you that reprieve. The fullness shrinks in increments rather than all at once, yet you know you’ll be feeling this while sitting in the cushioned chairs of Xinyue Kiosk tomorrow. Vaguely you can feel the dusting of her kisses along your cheek, her eyelashes against your damp temple. Down your thigh to your knee, then back up again, her palm shifts beneath the water in quiet comfort.
Down, up, down, up. Your breaths synchronize with her movements, and only when you can fill your lungs without shaking does she pull away and appraise you visually, then verbally, “Can you stand?”
Yes, barely, but it’s enough to get you to the vanity where you can prop yourself up as she dries you, then herself. Her robe is slipped over your shoulders, yours is belted at her waist in an even exchange. Ningguang doesn’t bother to drain the water as she takes you by the waist and guides you from one room to another.
Beyond a quiet, “Careful, watch your step,” there are no words exchanged. Nothing needs to be spoken that can’t be gleaned from touch, anyway. The bed is soft, a little cold, but warmed by the heat of your skin and Ningguang’s body at your side where she belongs.

Kaedehara Kazuha (selfship)

Tumblr media
‱ You met Kazuha when he arrived at Liyue Harbor. It was the first time Beidou had agreed to take him on a ship and after a successful mission, she and the new addition to the crew appeared before Ningguang. As an assistant to one of her secretaries, you weren't anyone particularly important. Kaedehara offered to help you carry some documents.
‱ You had to admit he was intimidating to you. Especially at first. He was quiet and calm but from his poetry it was clear he was interested in you in a romantic way from the start.
‱ Kazuha didn't have to go back to the Jade Chamber suspended so high in the sky every day, and yet, he climbed the stairs every day to greet you.
‱ Over time, you started to come downstairs more often to see him.
‱ He understands that you have trouble making new friends. He also likes to be alone from time to time.
‱ Kazuha would leave you little notes with haiku he had written himself. He preferred to recite longer pieces himself.
‱ At one of your first meetings, he told you that you had a distinct scent. You almost got offended but he explained to you how he perceives scents, which softened the strange words. According to him, you smell like red maple leaves, whatever that means...
‱ He enjoys taking walks along the seaside with you. He also doesn't mind admiring Liyue from above if you're not in the mood to come down.
‱ His vision helps you as much as it can. Anemo lets him sort documents or cushion falls, so you're less likely to end up bruised. If you have a hang glider, get ready to play with the wind because you'll be gliding long distances.
‱ He can adapt to the situation. At the beginning of your relationship, he was the one who did most of the talking. Now that you've opened up more, he doesn't mind your chatter, even if sometimes you get too excited to let him get a word in edgewise.
‱ He has lots of interesting stories about the places he's been to. If you're curious, he'll happily tell you about them. He also knows lots of dishes and games from around the world that he'll happily share with you.
‱ Kazuha doesn't like staying in one place for too long. He'll try to take you on small trips that don't interfere with your work. Of course, you don't have to worry about that. He knows he's strong enough to protect you from most dangers. He doesn't tell you but he wants to know if he was planning a future with you, you would be willing to go somewhere further with him. Those are long-term plans, though.
‱ One of the magical evenings was Yun Jin's opera performance that you took him to. Kaedehara was close to kissing you but he didn't. He just put his finger to your lips and told you that it wouldn't be right in his opinion. He still hasn't awakened the vision of his dead friend. He told you that this is his goal. That's why he has to sail away again soon and he doesn't want you to wait for him because he doesn't know when he'll be back.
‱ Ever since he set off on his expedition towards Inazuma, you've missed him a lot. You've heard that the borders are open again after one of the first merchant ships arrived at the port. A letter from Kazuha came with it. Just a stop in Sumeru and then he'll be back to you. You can't wait.

From Liyue With Love
Pairing: Beidou x Ningguang
Tags: Birthday, Valentine's Day, Birthday Sex, Presents, Scissoring, Oral Sex, Vaginal Fingering
Summary:
Beidou has always been more partial to Valentine's Day than the other event that happens to fall on the same date. Ningguang wants to change that. In the end, they discover they've both got the best gifts either of them could hope for.
Read on Ao3
The chain of the gold necklace shimmered as Beidou held it up to the light of the mid-day Liyue sun. She’d stopped at Mingxing Jewelry to pick up the Valentine’s Day gift she had special ordered for the Tianquan who held her heart. Over the years she had imported many ores and gems one could only find from the furthest reaches of Sumeru to the deepest seas of Fontaine just for Xingxi’s store.
“Is it to your liking, captain? I admit, I took a few liberties with the instructions you left me,” Xingxi stated hesitantly.
Beidou ran her thumb across the small heart-shaped pendant, the cold stones chilling her skin. The two halves glistened in their respective signature colors - amethyst for her electro, citrine for Ningguang’s geo.
“It’s perfect,” she whispered. “Thanks, Xingxi! Knew I could count on you.”
The shopkeeper smiled gently. “I’m so happy to hear it.”
Beidou plopped a sizable sack of mora on the counter but was taken aback when Xingxi pushed it toward her.
“Captain, I appreciate that you think so highly of my handiwork, but I fear this is far too much. Half of that is more than enough. Consider it a birthday discount,” she replied with a wink.
She blinked, unsure of how to respond. If she didn’t have Ningguang in her life, today would be like any other. Commemorating Valentine’s Day was fun for many reasons. Beidou relished any chance she could get to show the Tianquan what she meant to her. The other yearly occurrence that happened to be on the same day
she had never seen a reason to celebrate.
Beidou swallowed back the dark emotions that threatened to burst forth. “Gee
 thanks, Xingxi. Wait a second
how did you know it was my-“
The shopkeeper let out a chuckle. “Captain
how could I not? It’s all Lady Ningguang has been talking about for days.”
With a blush spreading across her face, Beidou nodded her head in gratitude and started the lengthy trek to the Jade Chamber.
“Captain Beidou! It’s so nice to see you here,” Baishi said suspiciously loud. She had greeted her right before the doors to Ningguang’s office, which Beidou found unusual.
“Uh, yeah, you too, Baishi. Is the Tianquan in?”
The secretary looked nervously over her shoulder. “Um
she’s a little-“ A loud crash came from the other side of the door, and Beidou looked ready to rush in.
“Ning? Are you okay in there?”
A swirl of platinum blonde hair appeared in the doorway. “Yes, captain, everything is quite alright. If you’ll excuse me, I’ve got some
business to wrap up. It’ll only be a few minutes.”
Beidou cocked an eyebrow. “You sure you’re good?”
Ningguang stared daggers at her. “Do you mean to insinuate I don’t know what I’m doing, captain?”
She held up her hands in defense. “Not at all. Continue,” she said with a smug smirk.
After passing the time chatting with Baishi, Beidou was relieved to hear Ningguang’s voice echo through the double doors once more.
“You may enter now. Baishi, please let Baiwen and Baixiao know you are all free to go home for the evening.” After a quick “goodnight,” the woman left to find her coworkers.
Beidou swiftly entered the room and was caught completely off guard by the sight before her. Ningguang had donned a dark blue strapless dress that sparkled like moonlight on the ocean’s surface.
A quiet “wow” was the most she could manage. Her attention was quickly directed to the table behind her, however. It had been set for dinner, complete with a tall glass of Beidou’s favorite lager imported from Inazuma. The scent of flash-fried filet, her favorite dish, wafted through the room, making her stomach growl.
“Baobei
did you
did you cook all this?”
Ningguang glided over to her side. “I may have asked Chef Mao’s girl to walk me through some things, but yes,” she answered as she took Beidou’s hand in hers. “Happy birthday, my love.”
Beidou felt the room spin around her. The weight of such careful planning hit her in full force.
“What’s wrong? Is it not to your liking?”
She hadn’t realized tears had started to drip down her cheeks.
“No! Archons
no. I love it. It’s just
I’m not used to this. I’ve always associated my birthday with wishing I hadn’t been born.”
Ningguang’s grip on her hand tightened. “How could you say that, Beidou?”
The captain wiped her face with the back of her hand. “I mean
Valentine’s Day is much more important, don’t ya think? I’d rather celebrate love than a curse like me.”
A look of intense sorrow came over Ningguang. She leaned her forehead on Beidou’s, forcing her to make eye contact. “You are not a curse, dear heart. Those villagers were ignoramuses who believed in mumbo-jumbo bullshit. Please. Let’s celebrate you tonight, hmm? I can think of no one more deserving,” she said as she took her by the hand and led her to the table.
“Well, one thing’s for sure. I’m not about to let this go to waste. Thank you so much, baobei.”
Ningguang smiled at the return of her signature sense of humor. The women sat down and thoroughly enjoyed every last bite as they chatted about their respective weeks.
“Whew. I couldn’t eat another bite! My compliments to the chef. You sure you don’t want to join my crew and cook for all of us?”
Slightly buzzed on her own glass or three of wine, Ningguang let out a hearty laugh. “Oh please. It was one dish! But I’m glad you enjoyed it.”
Chugging the rest of her beer, Beidou let out a satisfied sigh. “Shame there’s no dessert, though. Could really go for something sweet after this.” She shifted her hooded gaze to lock eyes with the Tianquan. Ningguang had been with her long enough to recognize this was a different kind of hunger.
“Who said I didn’t have something prepared for your sweet tooth?” She replied seductively as she got up to get closer to her. “Did you honestly think this was all I got you?” Ningguang hiked her dress up as she positioned herself to straddle her lover’s lap. Beidou’s eyes drifted to the garter straps peeking out from under the fabric and had to control herself from ripping them off with her teeth.
“You mean there’s a feast after the feast?” She asked, lips already wandering across her chest and up her neck.
“Hmmm
it’s prepared. You just have to devour it,” Ningguang half-moaned.
“Then don’t mind if I do,” Beidou said as she grabbed the back of her thighs and lifted her effortlessly. Their mouths locked as the Tianquan wrapped her arms around her neck for support. The captain knew the way to the private sleeping quarters of Ningguang’s office like the back of her hand and carefully navigated around the stacks of scrolls that always seemed to inevitably accumulate.
Once she made it to the bed, she set her down and crawled on top of her, continuing to show her gratitude by attending to every inch of her body. Her dress was far too beautiful to remove, so she worked around whatever skin was left uncovered.
She was delectable in so many ways, and Beidou couldn’t help but repay her kindness in the only way she knew would come close. As she situated herself between her thighs, she shifted the fabric of her dress up to her hips to provide her with enough access.
Ningguang could only let out contented sighs and groans as the captain took her time savoring and teasing her. Beidou kissed her inner thigh, causing her to spread herself wider in anticipation. Whether this was a gift for Beidou or Ningguang, neither of them cared. They were lost in each other. Finally, the captain moved the crotch of the Tianquan’s panties to the side and tasted the unique but familiar flavor of her arousal.
“Archons
Beidou, your tongue feels so good
”
“Louder for me, baby. Let me hear how good I make you feel,” she commanded before swiveling it inside of her. The buck of Ningguang’s hips drove her deeper and caused her to moan. She held them down as she continued the practiced movements she knew would make her come undone. Desperate for connection, the Tianquan covered Beidou’s hands with her own.
“Fuck
Beidou
yessssss
” Between the captain’s muffled grunts and her own mewls of pleasure, Ningguang came with a shudder.
Beidou plopped onto her side next to where Ningguang lay on the bed dizzy on alcohol and her orgasm. The Tianquan rolled to face her and softly stroked the captain’s face with her well-manicured fingers.
“Well, that was just lovely. But I do believe I need to exchange a gift of my own. For without you being born today, I would not have a love worth celebrating. The archons gave me my heart on the most romantic day of the year.” Ningguang leaned in and kissed her with a passion unmatched.
The Tianquan tasted the salty tang of Beidou’s tears. To this day the captain still wasn’t used to this poetic tenderness. Sure, she and Ningguang had been together for a while, but she wasn’t usually this romantic. Beidou placed her hands on her waist and pulled her closer.
Their tongues clashed as hands roamed, divesting one another of any remaining clothing until their body heat was the only thing keeping them warm. Ningguang grabbed Beidou’s leg and placed it on her hip as she moved her hand between the two of them to her drenched core.
“What you lack in words your body certainly makes up for,” she teased as she ran her thumb across Beidou’s clit. The captain jolted in response to the stimulation.
“Ning
” She quietly breathed into her ear sending goosebumps down the Tianquan’s spine.
Collecting her arousal, she easily inserted two fingers into her. Moving them in and out, she slowly stroked her thumb across her sensitive bud in time with her movements. She continued her ministrations as she kissed down Beidou’s neck and across her chest. The captain’s flushed face and high-pitched moaning of her name alerted her she was close. Ningguang sped up her thrusts and crashed her mouth against her lover’s as she spasmed around her.
The two women held each other tightly reveling in the happiness and love they shared.
“Oh! Before I forget
” Beidou quickly hopped off the bed to fish around in the pocket of the bag she had brought with her. Producing a small wooden box, she placed it in Ningguang’s outstretched hand. “Happy Valentine’s Day, baobei. A treasure for my treasure.”
Ningguang rolled her eyes endearingly at the terrible pun. Turning her gaze back toward what she now held in her palm, she pried it open and gasped when she saw the contents.
“B-Beidou
this
this is gorgeous!” She gasped. Instinctively she turned around and pulled her hair back so the captain could do the honors. The necklace was surprisingly light considering the weight of the emotion it held. “I love it and will cherish it forever,” she exclaimed as she took her face in her hands. “Just like you.”
Beidou beamed at her girlfriend’s excitement. “I’m glad. I only brought Xingxi the materials. She was the one who worked her magic.”
Ningguang whipped around to her side table and immediately pulled out her own gift. Beidou couldn’t help but giggle at the ornate packaging that was so very
Ningguang.
“Now, you’ll have to let me know if this isn’t to your tastes. It’s nowhere near as ornate as what you’ve gifted me, but I hope you’ll still enjoy it,” she warned as Beidou began to carefully pull the paper away. Soon, it was revealed to be a beautiful photo album. Pictures of memorable moments decorated each page.
Beidou standing by the Alcor, newly purchased with help from Ningguang. Their first lantern rite together. The time Beidou took Ningguang on a trip to Inazuma to meet the sly fox of a light novel publisher she knew she’d want to do business with. A snapshot of the both of them deep in thought pondering over a chessboard. The rest of the photos started to blur through eyes glistening once again with unshed tears.
“I had that lovely little photographer from The Steambird help me restore some of the old photographs I had lying around. I figured it might help if you had something to look at when you were away on longer voyages.”
“Ning
I don’t have words. This is
this is incredible. And perfect. Just like you.”
The Tianquan smiled mischievously. “And
you haven’t gotten to the end yet. Go ahead and turn a few more pages,” she teased. Beidou did as she was told and was greeted by insanely risquĂ© shots of Ningguang in barely-there lingerie
as well as some with her in nothing at all. She snapped the album shut quickly, her face turning red.
“Holy shit. I’m going to need to go another round after that.”
Beidou crawled on her hands and knees toward Ningguang, grabbing her hips and pulling her closer. She wrapped her legs around Beidou’s waist, their mouths clashing once again.
Their cores aligned, they were both reduced to a moaning mess as their bodies shook with need for one another.
“Baobei,” Beidou groaned between kisses, “You’re the
best gift
I could ever hope to
receive.”
The Tianquan wrapped her arms around her, yanking her closer for added pressure. Beidou moved her hips in time with Ningguang’s, their now over-stimulated buds sliding against one another ferociously.
The sound of ragged breathing, sighs of pleasure, and the gentle rattle of a necklace chain swirled in a symphony throughout the room. The captain slid a hand between them, adding additional sensation to Ningguang’s clit.
“Come with me, love,” Beidou whispered as she held her tightly. The two women once again found release, their movements slowing as their orgasms came to a dull throb.
Ningguang clasped the pendant she now wore around her neck. “Beidou, you’ll have to tell me - what does it feel like to be the richest woman in Teyvat?”
Beidou propped herself up on her elbow as she cocked a curious eyebrow at the woman she loved. “Why, Lady Tianquan
whatever do you mean?”
“Mora is easy to come by. But you own something truly priceless - my heart.”
“Now that,” Beidou said as she placed a kiss on her forehead, “is the best birthday gift I will ever receive.”

The replacement (Chongyun, Part 1)
A short story about one of my first 4 star mains and how he's stuck around in my account despite having better options.
As the gold star soared through the sky, Chongyun felt as if his heart was about to burst. As heretical as it was to wish for the Summoner of Stars to feel sad, Chongyun still prayed for the star to not land in Liyue.
The star flew closer.
He prayed that the star would fall in the hands of the Yuheng and not in the hands of the workaholic secretary.
The star flew into the Jade Chamber.
Each blessed acolyte around Teyvat heard the Creator's cheers of delight.
Chongyun stopped praying, and could only sit by and watch his dreams freeze over and shatter into tiny pieces.
Tumblr media
The day the divine Creator of Teyvat had chosen Chongyun as one of their first acolytes, he was bedridden for many days from sheer joy.
As soon as he could calm himself down and recover, his family clan and friends immediately threw a massive celebration for the blessing. How much his parents boasted during the party; their son, leading the Creator in their journey to reexperience the world they created!
Even Auntie Shenhe paid a visit, although it was long after the crowds dispersed, to have a small private conversation with Chongyun, before departing soon after.
The first few months of traveling with the Creator's presence in his mind was nothing short of magical; for the first time in his life, Chongyun was unhindered by the excess Yang energy in his body. Enemies that once gave him trouble through their usage of Pyro energy were swiftly defeated by his hand and the Creator's blessed weapons. Eating spicy foods for the first time was a shock, especially to Xingqiu, but Chongyun still sharing the special moment with the One Who Gave Strength. The Creator even granted Chongyun's wish; he finally got to see an evil spirit, and vanquished it himself!
Life began to follow a routine. The Creator would call on Chongyun in the afternoon, fight the various enemies that stood in the Creator's way for the Adventurer's Guild's Commissions, explore Teyvat, and used his claymore to mine the materials needed to strengthen him and his fellow acolytes. Despite the monotonous nature of the routine, Chongyun still cherished it with all his heart, as any moment spent with the Creator is a time well spent.
However, routines can be broken.
Tumblr media
Trouble began to brew as Teyvat entered fall. His parents awoke to Chongyun screaming and sobbing from his room.
"Chongyun offers the least amount of offensive enhancements-"
"Chongyun can't take advantage of freeze since he uses a claymore. Ganyu's better for freeze teams."
"His damage isn't that high compared to other Cryo units; you'll need him at C6 to use him to the fullest. Unless you're willing to put in like 30k primos for that or you have god tier luck, that's not gonna happen."
These were the words that Chongyun heard of in his dreams. Many holy scriptures have stated that acolytes of the Divine Creator may sometimes hear voices from the other inhabitants of the Creator's heavenly realm. But this was the first time any acolyte of this world has heard such criticism of their strength.
After all, what did it matter, as long the Creator was satisfied with their acolyte's current strength?
Right?
The dreams didn't stop there. Time and time again, Chongyun, and only Chongyun, heard that he wasn't strong enough, that his strength was allocated in all the wrong places, that he was only useful in rare situations, and that only other potential acolytes were worthy of the Creator's blessings.
Oh, how Chongyun wished to visit the Creator's world to shut those voices up. How dare they criticize the Creator's choice to bless him? But most of all, Chongyun was terrified.
What if the Creator was persuaded? Would he be left sitting on the sidelines, watching other acolytes receive the Creator's praise? A horrifying vision passes through his mind, that as the Creator abandons him, all of their gifts and blessings would be removed, and that Chongyun would return to his old self once more.
And so, to prevent such a fate from occuring, Chongyun intensified his training. He scoured Liyue for all sorts of evil spirits and demons, sometimes even going alongside Adeptus Xiao and his aunt as they hunted threats to Liyue, all to test and prove himself to the Creator.
His family would frequently see Chongyun stumble back home, tired and ragged from hours of training and combat. They reassured him that the Creator would never abandon such a loyal acolyte.
"You will always be the Creator's right hand. So please, don't run yourself ragged."
But the fears never ceased, and rather, flared up in intensity once it was announced that Secretary Ganyu, Chongyun's main competitor, would have a chance to be granted the Creator's blessings.
And so, as Chongyun listened to the cheers emitting from the Jade Chamber, he glanced towards his future, and only saw uncertainty.

im just gonna dump this here :'D
y/n, a renowned fighter of liyue and a secret agent of ningguang who is going undercover as a millelith (who was a part of the osial fight), was tasked to make the fatui harbinger, childe, leave without making it seem forceful. the fatui in liyue means that peace would never be with them. they awakened osial, therefore they had to make the harbinger leave without diplomatic issues. they had to do it in every single way possible without mistakes.
and what's the most effective way to win the harbinger's heart? it's to acknowledge him with kindness and pure and gentle heart. treating him in a nice way, greeting him and gifting him trinkets or handmade gifts.
y/n's plan is to act like his friend, someone he could trust. someone he could love. someone to build his future with. and after he falls for that, they push him away. curse him and tell him to never come back to liyue. blame him for everything. tell him that he's scary, that they will never trust someone like him. that he doesn't deserve anything.
except there's one clear flaw in their plan. they never anticipated that what if, they were the ones to fall in love with the harbinger? what if they get too attached to him to even break his heart?
of course, this completely tore apart y/n. not knowing what to do. break him and save liyue or be free and let liyue be. both have different consequences. and what did y/n do? they chose what their heart says.

The mission was simple enough, wasn't it?
Gain his trust. Shed him off his walls and deceive him when he least expects it. To allow himself to be vulnerable to you, to see you as a reliable comrade. To pretend to be someone he could love, to hold in his arms, to share his troubles with, to talk to about whatever comes to his mind, to be with someone he thought he could have a future with.
Truly, it was simple enough.
Lady Ningguang has entrusted this task to you, for you are capable enough to complete any mission the Lady has ever assigned to you. Be it 'cleansing' Liyue Harbor of 'filth', or simply gaining needed information, her beck and call. You were even graced by Lady Ningguang's access inside the Jade Chamber, which she's only ever allowed to her 3 secretaries and people she deeply trusts.
You swore loyalty under her command, for she never ceased to amaze you. From her glorious beauty, her dedication to her work, and her never-ending kindness to the inhabitants of Liyue, especially toward children.
"I have confidence that if this task were given to someone, rest assured you, out of everyone, can complete it." She says with a smile whilst you stood before her, hands behind your back with a bowed head, taking her words with immense gratitude. "The longer he, a Fatui Harbinger, stays in Liyue Harbor, peace will never be upon us."
You wholeheartedly believed in your Lady's words, nodding along as she continued to speak. She pushed a small unsuspecting folder toward you and allowed you to take it from her. Upon opening the folder, your eyes immediately scanned all the information in the papers.
"That folder is important. It contains his name, age, occupation, locations, favorites, and many more. Use it all to your advantage." Nodding once again, you held onto the folder tightly, giving your Lady a deep, respectful bow. Her last words to you ever since that day rang in your ears, engraving themselves into your brain because Archons forbid you to forget; "Don't fail me."
With pride, you took upon this mission in a stride, completely overestimating yourself. You may be a renowned warrior of Liyue, Lady Ningguang's trusted agent known for your prowess in battle and your seemingly endless adherence to your job, but there was something you never took into consideration.
That you were simply human.
Getting along with the Fatui Harbinger was a rather easy feat. He was friendly when you first approached in a guise; a part of the Millelith. From the information the papers inside the folder Lady Ningguang lent you, he loved battling against strong foes. So much so, he gains thrill even if he was injured. So how did you first greet the 11th member of the Fatui Harbingers?
Into a spar of course.
Soldiers would often say that archers were the weakest among the different sorts of fighters. That they cower behind in the backlines and only have knowledge for support. That they rely on long-range attacks merely because they freeze at the first sign of danger up close. You knew better of course. Archers are incredibly powerful on a battlefield. One skilled archer is enough to turn the tides of war; like death itself. You never know when an arrow would pierce through your chest or your forehead.
True fighters would know to never underestimate an enemy.
And you were proven right when you first battled Childe. You've never fought against an archer one-on-one but he fought vigorously against you, a sword wielder. His moves were fluid, flowing like water, an endless stream of aggressive and deadly strikes, similar to the Vision he has. It crashes upon you like tidal waves of stormy nights that shakes sailing ships until they flip and sink. With each strike he landed, the more you admired the strong fighter in front of you.
Childe fought differently than the other archers you've met. It was as if he merged the gracefulness of an archer with the violent characteristics similar to a berserker. He wore an exhilarated smile on his in the whole duration of your fight, you even heard him laugh when you catch him off guard.
He didn't underestimate you either, despite coming off quite arrogantly with each blow he dealt to you. It was a simple approach, yet you couldn't bring yourself to lose against him. How a person fought was enough to discern one's personality, in Childe's opinion, and he always finds himself breathless when you adjust the grip on your sword, baiting him and swinging in a direction he didn't expect, almost resulting in his loss.
You were cunning, a fighter who uses their boundless knowledge in the art of swordsmanship to the fullest. Dirty tricks? You've used them with a smug smirk on your face. Impenetrable defense? Powerful offense? You had it all, and it caught his full attention.
His water would extinguish the flames of your blade, but as quickly as they dispersed, they would flare back up like the burning determination in your eyes. He found himself truly captivated by the mesmerizing flames that licked and singed his skin.
In the end, you won. Nevertheless, seconds passed after Childe's defeat, you fell to the ground along with him, catching your breath and swallowing down the pain that was slowing growing in intensity the more the adrenaline that ran through your veins slowly faded.
Childe was admittedly impressed. The Millelith hadn't given him an impression by their rather lacking strength, but you? You must be one of the higher ranks! He learned a lot just by fighting you and felt awestruck by how remarkable a fighter you were. Unlike any battles he had recently fought, you displayed true sportsmanship with it comes to duels, commending his skills as an archer. When he told you that he uses the bow simply because he was less adept with it, you expressed genuine shock.
"Really? Most archers aren't capable of fighting well as you are against sword wielders on one-on-ones, and you're saying you're weakest with a bow?" You gave him a toothy grin, eyes wide and filled with wonder whilst the both of you walked towards Liuli Pavilion. Since Childe lost the spar you had moments ago, he had invited you for a dinner together, offering to pay for the expenses.
You accepted his offer with a fake smile (was it really?) on your face after you've shaken hands, putting away each other's weapons. "Mhm, believe it or not! You're quite a strong opponent, where did you learn how to wield your sword like that?" He queried, his gaze stuck on the person who defeated him.
You suppose you had nothing to hide, crossing your arms with pride as you said; "Well, my father was quite famous in Liyue, as I, for being an outstanding swordsman. He taught me everything I needed to know." With a nod, eyes meeting his azure ones. His fingers rubbed his chin, invested with your words.
Then, he nudged you with his elbow, a wide smile stretching his lips. "Care to share some of that knowledge?" He asks, wearing a hopeful expression.
You merely scoffed, raising a brow at the taller male beside you. "And why should I?"
Without missing a beat, he shot a smirk your way, crossing his arms as he narrowed his eyes. "So I can surely beat you in our next duel."
Breaking into fits of (genuine) laughter at his cocky attitude, you shook your head. "Oh? Then that gives me more reason not to tell you then." You remarked. But he only tutted at you, hair flowing prettily against the winds, "Awww, scared that I'll find your weakness? That an archer like me can beat your ass to the ground?" He said teasingly, the corners of his eyes crinkling in amusement.
For the first time in a while, you felt your heart race in anticipation. Though, back then, you had mistaken it as the fleeting sensation of victory beating in your heart. You had thought he had fallen into your trap when, unknowingly, you had fallen as well.
"Alright," You'd huff, "Bring it on."
Tumblr media
It has been... months since you've seen the last of Lady Ningguang. Usually, you'd report to her Lady every few days, updating her about the progress of your mission.
Lately, though, a sense of dread would creep up toward your heart whenever you thought of visiting the Jade Chamber. Oddly enough, you felt eyes following you with every step you take, and because of that, you've grown incredibly weary and paranoid.
But you have a guess on what makes your heart waver when it comes to Lady Ningguang and your duties.
Childe.
Even the mere mention of his name makes you grit your teeth. For the past few months, the more this mission of yours went on, the more you grew to hate him.
You absolutely abhor him.
He made your seemingly effortless task drag on longer than you'd like. And despite being aware that gaining a person's trust was not like a leisure walk through Liyue Harbor, you hated every passing second you spent with him.
Childe was annoying, arrogant and you can't stand him. He would nag you for a spar so much that you'd have to hide across Liyue to avoid him, often asking a kind gentleman working in Wangsheng Funeral Parlor, named Zhongli, to distract the bothersome ginger who refused to leave you alone for some reason.
Asking him why he wants to stick around you so much was utterly fruitless, for he would blatantly lie to your face (just as much as you lie to him). "I want to score higher than you in our spars!", "Why can't I? Aren't we comrades?", "Getting tired of me already? Too bad!", and so on.
The moment he opens his mouth, you want to bury yourself in the ground, never to listen to his senseless blabbering. You hated so many things about him that you can list them.
You hate the cocky smile he'd always have when he walks up to you, asking you for a spar, his voice that would always get on your nerves, his bright, blue eyes that always seem to spark back to life whenever he looks at you, the way he always perks up when he hears you approaching because it's totally normal for people to memorize the sounds of another's footsteps, the way he's always eager to treat you dinner—
The way he makes your heart skips a beat whenever he laughs, the way he touches you oh so gently even though you're the one who kept beating him in fights, the way the tone of his voice changes whenever he speaks to you or says your name—
The way he makes your cheeks burn hotter than when you use your pyro vision whenever he shamelessly flirts with you 'as a joke', the way he makes butterflies flutter in your stomach whenever he sends you the most loving smile you've ever seen in your life, the way he never fails to make you feel so special because, for some reason, he's always so drawn to you, like a moth to a flame.
You hated Childe, and you had so many reasons for it, including making you fall for him. Hard.
At the moment, you were hiding from Childe again, watching Zhongli lead him away from where you hid. He had a pout on his lips, arms crossed as he clearly looked upset. You were a master at hide and seek, and he had never caught you once amidst your foolish games.
Once they were both out of sight, you leaned back against the tree you were on, the smile you once wore simply because you saw Childe acting so foolishly when it comes to you quickly morphed into a frown as you looked up into the skies, eyeing the Jade Chamber that infinitely hovered in the skies, casting a shadow all over Liyue. A place you once wanted to be part of, now a sight for sore eyes.
You wondered if Lady Ningguang knew. Of your inner turmoil, of your struggles, of your evident betrayal to your Lady, to Liyue. Thinking about it made your chest hurt, your hand clutching your chest. A younger version of you would surely be disgusted at your pathetic state. You? Who vowed to serve Lady Ningguang until your last breath? Whose resolve began to waver simply because of a man who's supposed to be your enemy?
A bitter laugh escaped your lips. How cruel. You once thought that this mission was the easiest one you've ever gotten. But it just grew harder when Childe ultimately asked you to be his lover.
And that was it.
A rejection followed by a fearful look, words that you knew would crush his heart and fake tears would be enough to wrap up your mission. To restore the faith Lady Ningguang had instilled in you, to make up for your traitorous mind...
But the way he caressed your cheek so tenderly, features softening at the mere sight of you, eyes both wary and filled with hope— Archons, you just couldn't. Not when you've dug your own grave, not when your heart beats for him.
On the day of his confession, he mistook your tears for joy. Instead, your tears were laced with unfathomable pain from the conflict that tore your heart. To serve Lady Ningguang and abide by your mission, or to betray your whole nation for the man who stole your heart?
The moment you realized you had fallen in love with Childe, a Fatui Harbinger, you willed yourself to avoid him at all costs. And when he sought you out, only to confess? You were devastated that he had fallen too. Fallen to the trap that fate had led you into, a trap both of you blindly waltzed in.
Once in a relationship, you prayed that he wouldn't notice. How your hands would tremble when he nears you, how your bottom lip would quiver when his were inches away, how your eyes grew teary when you feel his hot breath against your skin. It all felt so surreal, so addicting, you wanted more of him, to love him with all your heart, but indulging him made you feel sick.
Touching him felt like a sin, both to him and the country to which you once devoted yourself. His skin against yours burned you, accidentally flinching whenever he reaches for you, and your heart felt like it was being stabbed repeatedly.
You were so desperate for him, yearning for him, yet your heart ached when he utters those sweet words in your ears.
"I love you."
Archons, what have you done?
Tumblr media
The words you spoke felt like shattered glass rolling off your tongue. Who knew simply talking would hurt so much?
But the weight was lifted off your chest once you finished speaking, a strong pair of arms wrapped around your trembling body, reassuring, but shaky words being whispered to your ear. You clung to him, hands gripping the back of his shirt.
To say that he was shocked was an understatement. He has his suspicions toward you (and ignored them), but he never would've thought the burdens you carried were to that extent. Childe understood now though. Why you acted so strangely despite accepting his confession. You truly did love him, but the guilt in your heart ate you from the inside.
He understood how you felt, so he held you in his arms tightly, refusing to let go of you until you tell him so. To quell the pain in your heart little by little, to kiss you whilst you shed tears, to touch you as if you were bound to fall apart as you unraveled yourself completely bare only for him to see.
And when you agreed to his suggestion, his heart rejoiced.
"Join me. Let's leave Liyue."
But things never go the way they should.
Lady Ningguang knew. Of course, she did. She knew of your plans of departure from Liyue, and she wouldn't stand idle anymore for a traitor like you.
It happened all too fast. One moment you were on patrolling as a faux Millelith soldier, and the next thing you knew, you were being chased by your peers all across Liyue Harbor.
They were at every corner you turned to, surrounding you and cornering you. You can't escape anymore, you were trapped. It was then that realization struck you; she had finally made her move.
You will regret this later on, but you summoned your sword and pointing it threateningly at the multiple soldiers that blocked your path. You were to join the Fatui soon enough, so there won't be any harm in starting now, right?
But before you could even swing your sword, you heard his voice, calling your name and clearing a path toward him. Your breath got caught in your throat as you almost cried in relief, turning to run to him, to finally leave Liyue once and for all. His arrival saved you from lifelong regrets of spilling blood.
But—
Childe's eyes widened, arm outstretching towards you as he shouted your name once more. But he was too far. Too late. You ran as fast as you could, but you never reached him. The world around him grew dark as the once peaceful, beautiful nights at the harbor grew distant and hot. It suffocated him, to watch you fall to the ground, the brilliant scarlet colors painted the road, reflecting disgustingly gorgeously against the moonlight.
"Ajax—" You choked out, more of the pretty hues of red splattering out your mouth as the sight of a spear piercing your chest—
Tumblr media
Childe was skeptical of you at first. Who would just randomly go up to a stranger and ask them for a spar? He was glad he accepted it though, despite his doubts, because you proved to be a suitable sparring partner from then and so forth.
You fought like a true warrior. You reminded him of fire that blazed continuously no matter complication. A flame that refused to go out, a fire that with even the slightest spark, would burst into flames with dangerous heat. You refused to back down, even if he was a Hydro user, you ignited your flames once again, forcing your sword to burn him to ashes.
And you almost did, and it made his heart tumble inside his ribcage. His smile was difficult to contain, not when he's never felt such excitement in ages! You were different, you stood out among the foes he's fought before. You were unique and he needed to know what made you so special.
You gifted him the knowledge passed down by your father to you. Although he never understood why you would do such a thing to him back then when he was merely just of your acquaintance, you brought him into a whole new world when comprehending the art of weaponry.
"My father focused a lot on training the eyes." You'd state, holding a wooden sword for training purposes while Childe sat on the ground, crossed-legged, listening to every word. "The eye is an essential part of our art. If you trained hard enough, you can peer into someone's soul, quickly make a rough estimate of one's muscle structure, and pinpoint their weaknesses."
Childe, like the child he is, raised his arm as if he was a student wanting to inquire about his teacher. You loudly huffed at his behavior but never told him off. "Yes?" You arched a brow at him, a hand on your hip.
"Is that really possible or just an exaggeration?" He asked, and you were surprised it wasn't in a mocking manner. With a smile and a hum, you nodded proudly, gripping your sword, and got into an offensive stance.
"Hah! An exaggeration?" You snickered, "I only speak of the truth, my dear student. With it, you can anticipate your opponent's next move." Childe blinked, doubtful of what they just said, but nodded nevertheless, waiting for a clearer explanation.
"We sharpen our sights until it's comparable to a hawk's vision. We can see how a hand would clench the weapon it holds, the way the joints would move, the way a body's trajectory would shift, and much more." You recited as if you'd said this hundreds of times before. "We observe each movement, be it big or small."
He let out a sound of awe, eyes wide as he stared up at you, obviously impressed. "And you're teaching me such arts? Something passed down your family?" He asks, growing unsure as a small frown tugged the corners of his lips.
But his heart merely thrummed hard against his chest when you turned to him with a smile adorning your features, an unreadable emotion lingering in your eyes, but still shining brightly against the warm sun. Perhaps if he had this ability, then he would've known what you felt that day.
"For some reason, I trust that you would honor my family's way of the blade more than anyone in Liyue." You sighed, your gaze shifting away from him as you let a stray butterfly perch on your finger, the wind making your clothes flutter. "Of all the people I've fought, you bear what it really takes to be a warrior, despite the lust for battle hidden deep inside." Childe felt himself stiffen when you mentioned a part of him he hasn't shared with you just yet, but you simply giggled at his reaction, winking.
"It's what I've gathered by watching you how to fight."
And he let himself relax at that. After all, Childe was a firm believer of those words; How a person fought was enough to discern one's personality.
"But you did give it away rather obviously." You teased, only for Childe to frown once more, confused. "You laughed on the verge of losing."
His cheeks grew warm at that, a sheepish smile stretching his lips as rubbed the back of his neck, embarrassed. "Did I?" He chuckled, looking down at his lap, a sullen expression overtaking his features despite the laughter he forced. He knew at that moment that you'd think he was a weirdo. A creep who gets thrilled in bloodshed battles.
Though, you never cease to surprise him. Stepping in front of him, your shadow loomed over his figure and he raised his head to look up at you, expecting a look of disgust or mockery on your face, but it was just the same gentle face you always wore. Offering him a hand, he accepted it, and let himself be pulled upwards by you.
"I see no fault in it, Childe." You reassure, patting his back as you gave him a wooden sword to finally begin training. "Somethings are out of our control, so lend myself to you."
Childe sputtered, once again, surprised by your words and taking a step back, but you just chuckled at his reaction. "I'll spar with you if it helps quell this insatiable desire. Well, if that's what you'd like."
Speechless, he stood there dumbly, stuck in thought. A permanent sparring partner? Just to help suppress the consuming feeling to seek chaos and destruction? Torn, he couldn't help but crease his brows as he tried to make out any lies. But no, he couldn't see any. Your eyes only held sincerity, a patient smile carved on your lips.
Why are being so kind to him? Why, from then on, you decided to allow him to be your friend? Why did you crawl through the cracks of the faulty walls of his heart and made yourself a place inside it without his volition?
How cruel you were to invade his mind on a daily basis.
Your laughter reminded him of the sounds of chiming bells that hung outside of the homes in Liyue, harmonizing with the gentle breeze of the wind. Your smile held a warmth that he never knew he could once again feel in his heart. Your kindness, concern, gentleness— it made him weak in the knees.
You sparked life back into his dead, soulless eyes.
And you quickly snuffed them out once more, as if it was never there in the first place.
Like everything else that exists, your artistry of weaponry had a fatal flaw, and he could remember those words clearly.
"Our backside is one of the most vulnerable spots to users wielding this art. If an opponent was too quick for our eyes to reach them and attacks us from behind? We're good as dead if we don't improvise."
Maybe that's why you couldn't see the spear aimed at your back, piercing through your chest, right at your heart.
Childe grew to love the rains in Liyue, mostly because you loved them. You'd stomp onto puddles, running through the rain as you let the drops of water completely soak you entirely. You'd take his hands in yours, and dance with him under the rain. But no matter how dark the clouds were, you'd brighten up his surroundings, all it took was your loveable smile.
Though now, the intensity of the rain was not enough to clean the stain of your blood off his hands.
In the middle of the sea of bodies and diluting blood, Childe had your limp body in his hands. He couldn't save you. He wasn't fast enough, wasn't strong enough. Even with knowledge of your art, he couldn't have anticipated this.
In his veins, he only felt anger and despair, his heart torn to pieces as the one good thing in his life was stripped away from his hands once more. There were so many things he still wanted to tell you, to show you the beauty of Teyvat, to introduce you to his family—
But you were gone. The Vision that hung on your waist, dull and gray, the vibrant reddish-orange glow it once illuminated, gone, similar to your eyes that once held so much life. The fire that burned fervently has been completely extinguished. You have never felt so cold in his arms.
Was this your punishment for loving him? Was this her doing?
In the rain, he let himself break, burning hatred engulfing his heart as he glared at the Jade Chamber that proudly hovered amongst the stars.
There was one thing in his mind as he continued to grieve; the Jade Chamber will be no more.

Hello there! I'm a big fan of your work and I've read almost all your stories on wattpad and Damn I love it so much 😌.
Anyway, can I request a one-shot where the reader is working under Beidou, as her first mate and because of that, the reader does work that roughs up her hand, like you know, her hand is rough and dry and Ningguang took notice of this one day and decided to do a full body care for the reader.
Like Ningguang applies hand cream on the reader's hands, she massages the reader's face and stuff like that. I'm kinda bad at explaining things 😭
Aww anon this is so cute istg comforting/caring is one of my favorite tropes with all my wives especially the ones who are more authoritative and hold a high position (Ningguang and Signora come to mind most). And dw your explanation was perfect I get it :))
Ps this turned out longer than expected hope you don't mind
Game: Genshin Impact
Characters: Ningguang x fem!reader
Type: Fluff (caring and pampering from mommy Ningguang)
The Tianquan sacrificed her Jade Chamber to protect the people of Liyue and now it was time for the people rebuild that same abode for their Tianquan. Ningguang organized a competition to gather materials and labor for the Jade Chamber, many businessmen and merchants attracted by the prize took part in it and diligently worked day and night to gather materials.
"Baiwen, isn't that the First Mate of the Crux?" Ningguang questioned her secretary while looking at the construction site of the Jade Chamber, inspecting the working when she spotted a familiar yet unexpected face.
"Yes, Lady Ningguang, she is." Baiwen replied.
"Why is she helping among the construction workers? Did Beidou send her? Are there any other members of the Crux helping around?" Ningguang questioned more as she looked at you carrying and assembling construction materials around like a daily wage worker, appearing as common labor hired to rebuild the Jade Chamber.
"From what I know, there is no other member of the Crux seen on the site. I will find out more, Lady Ningguang."
Ningguang pondered for a moment, her gaze fixated on you working so hard with a smile on your face. "No need, I will talk to her myself."
"As you wish, Lady Ningguang." Baiwen bowed and excused herself away. Ningguang didn't come to meet you immediately, she decided to wait and see what your intentions were.
She observed the site for 3 days and saw you every day doing the same kind of work; sometimes transporting materials from one place to other, other times assembling the materials as instructed and so on. Her curiosity perked, and she finally decided to indulge it one day. She walked up to you and you immediately greeted her then engaged in conversation.
"I have been observing you for some days now, First Mate of the Crux." Ningguang didn't waste time and jumped to the topic of concern, "What might be your reasons for engaging in common labor like this? I believe this is rather below your paygrade. And I hope you are aware that this is separate from the competition to acquire the materials, there is no special prize for this only the appropriate wage."
"Oh, yes I know, Lady Ningguang. I'm not here for money or even the competition prize....."
"Then what might your reason be? I don't believe Captain Beidou sent you to assist considering there are no other members of the Crux here."
"Yes, she didn't send me. I came by my own accord. Captain Beidou is helping in acquiring the materials of the competition so everyone else is engaged in that. I....um....I was just more interested in this kind of work so I came...." you trailed off and made-up whatever reason came to your mind. You weren't expecting the Tianquan to notice you this way and question you, you almost felt like you did something wrong due to her constant questioning.
Ningguang chuckled after a moment of pause, "How interesting~ I was right to think the First Mate of the Crux was much more capable and fascinating than the Captain. You have my gratitude for assisting here, if pos—"
"Oi! Look out! The ropes will snap!" suddenly someone shouted and you noticed there was a trolley carrying stones right above you and Ningguang that broke from the rail and came crashing down. You swiftly reacted and jumped away pulling Ningguang along with you, both of you falling on the ground. You softened the fall for Ningguang by taking the force and shielding her above you, your back hitting the ground first with Ningguang wrapped in your arms.
The trolley crashed with a loud thud, alerting everyone on site to come rushing and see what had happened. Baiwen came running to look for her Tianquan and was relieved to see her safe and unharmed as you pulled her away at the right moment.
"A-Are you okay, Lady Ningguang?" you asked out of concern, slightly panting beneath her. She was shocked for some time until she grasped the situation and realized she was lying above you in your arms. Baiwen came to your side and helped Ningguang stand up then Ningguang offered her hand to you and you happily accepted then stood up and brushed your clothes while Baiwen checked Ningguang all over.
"I'm fine. What about you, Y/n? You took the fall, I hope your head isn't injured." Ningguang almost instinctively caressed your head but held back and folded her arms over her chest.
"Y-Yes, I'm fine, Lady Ningguang. Your safety is more important here."
Ningguang let out a sigh then turned around to look at the scene, her eyebrows furrowing as anger rose in her.
"Baiwen, get me whoever is responsible for these trolleys and the ropes. Have a thorough inspection of every trolley and rope before resuming the construction, I do not want anything like this to repeat."
Ningguang ordered with a glare and Baiwen immediately rushed to complete her command; it was rare for Ningguang to become so worked up, after all. The crowd of on-lookers gathered quickly dispersed away as well then Ningguang turned to face you before gently holding your hand, the action causing a blush to spread across your face.
"You can take the rest of the day off and rest, I will compensate you for this."
"O-Oh, no, it's okay. I'm completely fine, Lady Ningguang. Please, allow me to keep working."
"Not much construction is left now, I will pay you for all the days the construction went on. You can rest easy and go back."
"I...." you hesitated to reply but seeing Ningguang's gentle and concerned expression made you melt and agree, "As you say, Lady Ningguang. Please do call me if you need more workers any time."
Ningguang smiled and gently caressed your hand before releasing it and allowing you to leave. She watched you walk towards the harbor and board the Crux then looked at her own hand that was previously holding yours and pondered, "....Such rough hands. What a shame someone as adorable as her has to live a life like that. And I wouldn't be surprised if Beidou gives all the dirty work to Y/n while she drinks and slacks away. Hmm, perhaps I could do something...."
The Jade Chamber was finally rebuilt after another 2 days and Ningguang gathered the winners of the competition to let them collect their prize. The top 3 winners were the Traveller, Yun Jin and Captain Beidou herself who went a little later as she was with the crew giving out instructions.
"Keep your eyes and ears open for anything once the battle begins."
"Yes, Captain!"
"Oi, Y/n. Are you sure you don't want to come up there?"
"Huh? For what?"
"For your prize, of course! I won't let Ningguang get away with making you work your ass off and paying nothing!"
The crew let out a laughter while you sighed, "Don't say that to her, Captain. She has promised me she will pay me everything."
"Hah~ You...." Beidou let out a drawled sigh and left the crew in your hands then went up to the Jade Chamber where Yun Jin, Shenhe and the Traveller had already asked their questions and Paimon prompted Beidou to be next.
"Huh? No, I have nothing to ask. If anything, you should compensate my First Mate for all the work she did for you."
"Don't make it seem like I forced her to work, Beidou. She was there by her own accord and I already promised her the right amount."
"Yeah yeah, she was there for you, after all~"
Ningguang squinted her eyes in confusion, "What are you implying, Beidou?"
"Huh? Don't tell me you are so thick headed that you didn't realize even after she did so much....Hah~ This girl, I told her it's futile but she still insisted to help you just to please you."
"Please me? And whatever might that mean?"
Beidou clicked her tongue and turned around to walk away, "Never mind, forget I said anything. I'm going back to the ship to prepare."
Ningguang was about to call her back but Beidou descended long ago, leaving Ningguang confused and pondering. "What is that supposed to mean? Please me as in.....please me to get on my good side for her own benefit? Is that what she means?"
Ningguang looked down in contempt and thought back to what you said to her and bit her lower lip, "So, she's just like everyone else too....get close for benefits from my position. Haha~ can't say I'm surprised, I suppose...."
"Lady Ningguang, it's time." Baiwen called out to her and she put all her thoughts aside and began the ascension of the Jade Chamber. A fierce battle ensued soon after with Beisht over the sea, you commanded the Alcor alongside Beidou while Ningguang soared in the sky in her Jade Chamber and defeated Beisht together. Nobody was gravely injured thanks to the Traveller and Shenhe's help with the combined efforts of the Millelith.
"Y/n, come on, Ningguang has called us to see Yun Jin's show right now." Beidou informed you after the battle, preparing to go up the Jade Chamber.
"You can go, Captain. I'll stay and look over the damage and if anyone requires medical help, then we have to treat the crew as well."
"Ah, shut it. She specifically asked you to come so move it."
You found it hard to believe but Beidou left no room for negotiation and practically dragged you along. You reached the Jade Chamber and found Ningguang seated on one of the tables, she looked at you and squinted her eyes before standing up to greet you. You watched the show together sitting on the same table until Ningguang asked you to accompany her to get something from inside and you agreed hence went to her office.
"As promised, here is the remuneration for the days of the construction." Ningguang handed you a bag of mora which you hesitantly accepted and thanked her, she then stayed silent for a moment before walking up to her table and leaning against the edge.
"....Ask away what you require and I shall see that it is done." Ningguang spoke in a serious tone, glazed with her usual formalness.
"What do you mean, Lady Ningguang?"
"Wasn't that your purpose for helping in the construction? To please me? Well, I was pleased. Now state your requirement and our deal will be complete."
You looked at her wide-eyed, "Why do you think that, Lady Ningguang? I-I wasn't—"
"Your Captain told me you wanted to please me; naturally, I understand you must have something you want from me for which you wanted to get on my good side and gain favors. It is quite a common strategy in business and I believe in equivalent exchange so I'm ready to give you what you want."
Your heart almost broke at her words, you didn't understand why she reached this conclusion.
"I....Y-You misunderstand, Lady Ningguang. I did want to please you but not for this....I don't want anything from you or your wealth, I just wanted to help you rebuild your home and see you happy...."
Ningguang was also surprised now and walked closer to you, standing in front of you with her arms crossed over her chest.
"....So, you don't want anything materialistic? Why would you even want to see me happy?"
Your face turned red and you shyly looked away, appearing extremely adorable to Ningguang who had rarely seen you this way.
"I....I happened to see you at the harbor one night a few days after you sacrificed the previous Jade Chamber. And....you looked really upset, sorrowful. I couldn't bear to see you that way....I wanted to do something but it was difficult from my position. Then I heard about the reconstruction and urged Captain Beidou to return so that I could participate....I would have participated in the material gathering competition but I felt that wasn't enough so I let her handle that and I came to the labor side."
Ningguang felt her heartbeat fastening at your honest confession, an unexpected feeling of relief spreading in her chest.
"Well then, you did accomplish your goal. In return, would you let me do something for you now?~"
"H-Huh?! I don't want anything, Lady Ningguang. E-Even this mora isn't required but I can deposit it in the crew's treasury, other than this you really don't have to bother!"
Ningguang smiled and gently held your hand, the blush on your face darkening feeling her so close.
"It's not a bother. Come with me~"
You slowly agreed and let Ningguang lead you towards her private chamber, you felt her soft and delicate hands hold your dry and rough ones and suddenly felt nervous, even distant. It made you recall the distance between you both and the differences in your state of living. You were proud of your job and didn't regret it ever, but falling in love with the Tianquan made you almost wish you were in different circumstances.
"Have a seat." Ningguang made you sit on the bedside while she went to her dressing and picked out a few things before coming to sit beside you.
"....Life at the sea must be tough, right?" she spoke as she took off her gloves then proceeded hold your hands and caress them.
"Uh, i-it is but it's also fun with everyone around, and Captain Beidou especially keeps us well-fed and entertained."
"Hmm, well-fed for sure but not well tended to." you felt her soft fingers brush across your palm before intertwining with your own.
"That day when you saved me from the falling trolley, I felt your rough skin as you held my arms. I wouldn't have noticed it in the moment of panic but it felt uncharacteristically prickly that I couldn't help but remember and I also confirmed it later by holding your hand." she let go of your hand then gathered some cream on her own.
"I understand you cannot take care of your skin and personal appearance at sea much; you'd prioritise health and hygiene more. But still, you shouldn't let your adorable appearance go to waste this way. You are still a young girl; don't follow in Beidou's steps and become a brute like her, at least." she proceeded to rub the cream across your palm followed by your forearm.
"I....I j-just never cared for how I looked, especially...." you trailed off and averted your gaze, making Ningguang concerned as she massaged the cream on your hand.
"Especially?" she asked in a soft voice.
You furrowed your brows then swiftly pulled your hand away from her hold, catching her off-guard. "You don't have to do this, Lady Ningguang."
Ningguang looked at you firmly and lightly held your wrist, "I want to, let me."
"W-Why do you even want to? You don't have to pay me back for what I did, you don't have to waste your time on this."
"I decide how I spend my time and I deem this to be worth it."
You knew it was pointless to argue with the Tianquan once she had decided something. You were feeling overwhelmed seeing how eager she was to do this; you didn't understand her reasoning at all. A celebration was being held for her outside at this very moment yet here she was tending to a mere pirate. Ningguang observed you for some time before shifting closer and gently cupping your face, making you move your gaze towards her.
"Hmm....now that I'm seeing you up close this way, you really are quite cute and have rather youthful features, at least compared to the other crew members I have seen~"
A dark blush spread across your face at her compliment and how close she was, Ningguang rubbed her thumb across your cheek and slid it up towards your eye-patch in an attempt to take it off. You reacted out of instinct and stopped her hand from moving further, earning a soft smile from her.
"Let me see, I have always been quite curious about it. Not to mention, I need to apply the cream on your face so this needs to be removed anyways."
You bit your lower lip and slowly agreed then moved your hand away and let her slide off your eyepatch. She then brushed aside the bangs hanging over your eye and tucked them behind your ear before gathering moisturizer on her palms and gently spreading it in circles on your cheeks. Ningguang's gentle smile didn't fade even for a moment, she was focused on applying the cream all over your face and covering every part.
You noticed how she was especially careful when rubbing it over your eye as if the scar still hurt you— which it didn't as it was years old now. It almost shocked you how accepting and normally she was treating you; you knew the Tianquan was rather humane than what people made her to be but this felt extraordinary. Her soft and gentle fingers drawing circles on your face made you relax into her palms and close your eyes to relish the feeling.
"....Would it be okay to ask how you got this scar, Y/n?"
The question caught you off-guard but you agreed to tell, "Yes. It was before I joined the Crux, I was attacked by some Treasure Hoarders who raided my village. I got careless and let down my guard which gave them the chance to attack me and....yeah, that's how I got it."
Ningguang looked at you with a sympathetic look, "My apologies if it was uncomfortable to recall...."
"N-Not really, it was a long time ago. In fact, that's when Captain Beidou took me in. Seeing that she had a similar injury and how confidently she carried herself gave me some motivation too but...."
"....But you still remain insecure about your appearance due to it, right?"
You nodded in guilt, feeling weak in front of her. You didn't expect to tell your deepest secret to the Tianquan at all, but you also felt lighter telling her because of how accepting she was.
"I-It's okay now, Lady Ningguang! It's not like I brood over it all the time, I see it as a battle scar and know nothing can be done about it. I'm blessed nobody mocks me for it and the crew makes me feel accepted for who I am...."
Ningguang smiled wider and nodded in agreement, "Well, would you mind taking off your shirt? I wish to apply the cream on your body as well~"
"H-Huh?! I can do that myself, Lady Ningguang!" you exclaimed, feeling extremely flustered. Ningguang let out a chuckle then patted your head, "Alright then, let me apply on your back, at least. It would be difficult for you reach there anyways."
"Uh...o-okay."
You turned over and pulled your shirt up till your neck to expose your back to Ningguang. She saw the scars and injuries adorning it as well and felt more upset for you but decided to not bring them up and continued rubbing and massaging the cream. Your face was red up till your ears, the feeling of her smooth fingers rubbing over your bare back sent shivers down your spine and you did your best to hold back any kind of strange noises.
"Alright, it's done."
Ningguang helped you pull your shirt down then you turned to face her and she gently smiled, "I'll have some of these products delivered to you tomorrow. Try to apply them as much as you can, I can assure you that you will see improvement very soon."
"....Thank you very much, Lady Ningguang. T-This wasn't required at all but you—"
"Shh~" Ningguang put her finger on your lips, "Consider us even now, I won't listen to any excuses~"
You nodded in agreement and she retracted her hand then both of you proceeded to go outside. You stood at the platform to go down and bid farewell to her and thanked her once again for what she did, she smirked and all of a sudden walked closer then you felt a kiss planted on your cheek, near the place where your scar was. Your heart skipped a beat and you looked at Ningguang with a flustered expression while she looked as confident as ever.
"I'll call you if there are more similar jobs in the future for you to do. We can also discuss the right kind of remuneration for them~"

To Keqing,
Hello, Keqing. I just want to take this opportunity to thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for carrying my sorry self amidst many hardships when I was.. just starting out. Ah.. you might not get what I mean, but still, I wanted to thank you.
Do know that many people, not just myself, appreciate you and all the things that you have done (and will do!)
I wish you well, my dear. I hope we can meet one day, eat out together, maybe share a story or two.. and.. talk about our admiration of Rex Lapis.
Ehem!
Goodbye for now, I will see you around!
(the letter, encased within a purple envelope, was accompanied with a small box contaning a purple tassel with a gold and purple bell attached. as well as several individually wrapped candies)
[I feel like Keqing has always been looked down upon just because she's a standard banner character, but man, she carried my 🍑 until AR45 - when I finally got Xiao on his release. Even still, I use her on tough challenges because I know she will never fail on having my back. Thank you, Keqing! And yay! C6!]
to be the yuheng of the qixing is to resign yourself to being near permanently busy, always with either a stack of papers or a pen in hand. and as keqing hurries to bu’yun, the usual password system forgotten for one of liyue’s most recognizable, she’s more than aware of this fact.
her foot taps on the stone platform bringing her up to the jade chamber, the journey never seeming to go quickly enough. the sun had set, and yet she still wasn’t finished. part of her wants to flip through the folder in her hand to get a start on her assignment, but the majority of her brain scolds her that she could drop some of the precious documents and have to wait for the journey all the way back down to collect them- and then all the way back up to continue her work.
to be the yuheng is to be busy, and keqing fit the definition to a T.
yet, when she steps onto the stone of the jade chamber, she pauses. a bright floating ball awaits her, one that doesn’t display any clear origin. it doesn’t seem mechanical or elemental, nor of adeptal origin

she takes two quick steps and picks it from the air, surprised at the fragility of the structure. it breaks beneath her fingers, the pieces dissipating into fine dust even as she tries to hold it together. in the end, she’s left with an envelope in hand and a small box that had fallen thankfully into the space between her side and her folder.
keqing sighed, but picked up the box and walked inside, heading straight for her office.
she dropped off the folder with another secretary and shut her door, opening the letter swiftly. worst case, this was a security breach. best case

whatever she had in mind for ‘best case’ was wrong.
she wasn’t one to kiss up to gods and was more than willing to point out their flaws, as critical of them as she was of humanity. and yet, she cannot find fault in your letter. she was there for you, and had watched you get a better handle on utilizing vessels as you guided the traveller through their journey. you had helped her, and she had done her best to reciprocate in kind.
and yet, as she opens your giftbox and tries one of the candies, she can’t help but feel like she got the better end of the deal. perhaps when her workload was lighter, she could work out a way to return your kindness.
but that would be for later.
