The scrapbook has pictures of everytime all of you guys have hanged out together, and some pages are still left empty to fill out more and more memories. The bracelets have all your main colors on each and every one of them, and connect to each other when close by. They have a striped pattern of Red(Ace), Dark Blue(Deuce), Yellow(Jack), Purple(Epel), Light Blue(Ortho), Green(Sebek), Grey(Grim), and [insert your main color](You).

Ace says the bracelets were "Duece's 'stupid' idea" But in all seriousness, he also loves them.

These things are something you can have so if you ever end up finding a way home, you can take it with you to remember them.

April 13, Xi'an, China, Shaanxi Archaeology Museum/陕西考古博物馆 (Part 2 - Shang and Zhou dynasty):

A 1:1 replica of a Warring States period (476 - 221 BC) horse chariot that was unearthed in an ancient tomb in Gansu province. The original artifact was made of lacquered wood, decorated with gold, silver, bronze, turquoise, and other semi-precious stones; it's basically the "Lamborghini" of its time. This replica was just sitting in the hallway in between exhibition halls, and it's very big:

Another one of my favorites, which is also one of the stars of the museum. These are called xizun/牺尊, which are animal-shaped bronze wine vessels (notice the lid on its back). This particular pair is "deer-shaped", but also has patterns on the sides that look like bird wings and paws that look like those of predators. Ugh they are so cute...🥺

A Western Zhou dynasty (1046 - 771 BC) "lunch box" made of bronze, called a luxu/录盨. It was found inside of a Western Han dynasty (202 BC - 8 AD) tomb, indicating that even Chinese people from 2000 years ago had an interest in collecting artifacts from earlier times

More bronze food/wine vessels from Shang dynasty (1600 - 1046 BC) and Zhou dynasty (1046 - 256 BC). Top one is called a gui/簋, bottom left is a gu/觚, and bottom right is a jue/爵. The tall-footed wine vessels can be used to warm up wine before drinking, by heating it with a small flame placed between the feet.

This is what a complete set of bronze vessels from Shang/Zhou dynasties looks like. This particular set, called "fanjin and thirteen vessels"/柉禁十三器 (translated as "Altar Set") is currently at the Met. This diagram below gives the name of each vessel:

Late Western Zhou dynasty pendant made of jade and agate beads called a yupei/玉佩, and from what I can gather, this one should be part of a necklace, which would be one heavy necklace indeed. I feel like a lighter modern replica might go well with sweaters though:

This one is known as the Rui Gong ding/芮公鼎 or "Cauldron of Duke Rui", which is a bronze tripod ritual vessel (known as ding/鼎). It is inscribed with the text "内(芮)公乍(作)铸口宫宝鼎，万年子孙永宝用", which roughly translates as "Duke Rui cast this treasured ding, may his descendants use it for ten thousand years to come".

More bronze vessels. The top two are ding/鼎 vessels. Sidenote: notice the right one......does it look familiar? I'm pretty sure the rectangular ding is one of the inspirations for the design of TotK's temple of time. Also note the design patterns...I'm fairly certain these are the inspiration for TotK's aesthetics. TotK's Zonai script is also clearly inspired by Seal script/篆书 (I do want to make a post on this but my hands are pretty full atm)

Gold decorations on accessories:

An (incomplete?) bianzhong/编��� (bronze bell set) and bianqing/编磬 set. The pentagonal stone chimes on the bottom are part of the bianqing.

Daenerys Missandei Irri and Jhiqui!

She wears a bracelet of alternating pink and yellow stones. Her hair is in braids to pull it away from her face, but is otherwise in an Afro-type style. She holds a tablet and writing utensil in front of her chest. She has an interested expression as she looks up from her writing towards Dany.

Irri wears Dothraki clothes. She wears long trousers, which are blue fabric with a fringed panel of leather along the inside of her leg and groin. She wears leather boots with green, white, and purple painted swirls on them. She wears a dark leather belt around her middle and a belt of gold discs over it. The central gold disc has a green stone. More blue fabric wraps around her chest, either pleated or wrappings. Over this is a painted vest, primarily decorated with blue, green, and white. On her upper arm is an armband with an illustration of a horse galloping in grass. She has leather wrappings on her wrist and opposite upper arm. She wears one visible ring. She wears a leather necklace with a triangular gold pendant and gold triangular earrings. Her hair is in at least three braids, tied off with gold beads. She has bangs. She wears a woven headband of green and blue, with jade stones. Her face is neutral.

Jhiqui also wears Dothraki clothes, although hers do not look practical for riding. Her clothes are primarily fabric of a deep raspberry color. Along the outer side of her trousers is a stripe of leather, fringed at the end, painted with pink and pale purple flowers. On her chest she wears a beaded brooch shaped like a flower, with pink petals and a green “stem”. She wears slippers, in the same material as the rest of her outfit, with a decoration of pink flowers on yellow around the heel. Her vest is laced closed over a green and gold under layer. Her vest is trimmed at the hem with gold discs. Around her middle is a dark leather belt, with a thin belt of gold discs over it. She wears a leather necklace similar to Irri’s, with a circular gold pendant with a garnet stone. Her earrings match this pendant. She wears two rings. Her arm band is gold and garnet. Her hair is worn similarly to Irri’s. She has a bracelet with chips of green jade set in silver on a leather cuff. She has a nose piercing with a gold chain that leads to her earring. tuesday was with savanaclaw. you turned the colourful bead necklace into a bracelet, wrapping it around your non-dominant wrist. leona that fucking cat (affectionately) was smug as hell when he saw you with the necklace (now turned makeshift bracelet) he personally gave you.

octavinelle was wednesday. you didn't usually bring ramshackle's key in your pockets, so the keychain was attached to the side of your belt. floyd took great pleasure in picking you up and carrying you to places, "'cause lil' shrimpy will get lost in the sea of minnows without this big ol' eel!" or something along the line. jade only follow behind you two with a chuckle.

thursday quickly came by. kalim encouraged you to wear scarabia's gold bracelets that he gave you. how could you deny him, when he was asking you with such a bright smile on his face? he was dragging you around campus by the way, jamil walked behind the both of you and sighed like a tired disappointed parent he was lmao.

friday rolled by. pomefiore dorm leader vil himself handed you the crown pin. he also asked you to accompany him on a leisure stroll with rook and epel, and at the end of the day, he even bent down to give your forehead a lil smooch. his lipstick might be smudged, but your confused flustered face was entertaining enough for him to ignore it. be grateful for that potato.

idia had ortho pull you to an unused classroom on saturday, only to hand you a watch in ignihyde's colour scheme, dorm logo and all. idia himself might not want to go outside, so it's either ortho who dragged you around campus, or you all holed up in idia's room to play video games or binge anime.

diasomnia held you hostage (/lh) on sunday. well, malleus already gifted you the earrings on your late night rendezvous right after you came back from ignihyde. he invited you to the dorm the next morning, and kinda just keep you there for the rest of the day. lilia had the time of his life jumpscaring you the moment you got pass the gates, though.

summary: You were only planning on showing your boyfriend your jewelry collection from over the years, but he wanted to have something to add to your collection.

You and Jisung sat up on your shared bed, and you had you're jewelry box next to you as you showed each piece to him.

"I also have this one." You said with a smile, holding up a silver bracelet with tiny star pendants embedded in the chain.

"Wow.." Jisung mumbled, and he gently took the bracelet from you to get a better look.

"This is.. wow. It's so beautiful, love."

You smiled, and you moved closer to Jisung on the bed as you looked up at him.

"You think so?" You asked, and all he did was nod wordlessly as he admired the piece of jewelry.

You both sat there in silence for a while, and you were enjoying the silence until Jisung spoke up.

"Do you think we can.. get matching bracelets? Or rings, or- or necklaces..?" He asked, seemingly quite shy.

You smiled as you heard his question, and you looked over at him.

"Yeah? You wanna get some matching jewelry?"

Jisung nodded quickly, a small smile of his own growing on his face.

"I think we can find something then.." You said, and you reached over to the nightstand where your phone was placed.

It took a bit, but you eventually found something you thought would be perfect for you and Jisung, so you quickly placed the order and waited for them to arrive.

When they did arrive, you set them down on his nightstand. It was just a simple matching bracelet, one with one amethyst bead, and the other with a jade bead. It may have been simple, but to you, it felt perfect for you and your boyfriend.

When Jisung got home from work, you two had dinner together before watching a movie and then getting ready for bed, and it wasn't until Jisung had settled down on his side of the bed after getting ready to sleep when he noticed the bracelets.

He let out a soft gasp, his eyes filled with genuine happiness as he gently picked both of them up and got a closer look at them.

You giggled softly at his reaction before sitting down on the bed next to him, and you leaned closer.

"Do you like them?" You asked, a gentle smile on your face.

Jisung looked up at you, his expression equally as soft as yours.

"Like them? Baby, I love them."

He reached out for your wrist, and he clasped one of the bracelets around it before doing the same with his own wrist and the other bracelet.

He smiled up at you, then leaned in and placed a soft kiss on your cheek.

"Thank you, sweetie.." He muttered.

You smiled in response, and you wrapped your arms around his neck and leaned in for another kiss.

"Of course. I'm glad you're happy with them."

"Now you have something new for your collection!" He said with a grin.

You nod with a smile, happy seeing him so happy.

"Yeah, I do now."

Jisung gave you another kiss, before pulling away and resting his forehead against your own.

Some necklaces and bracelets I made a while ago. Thought I'd post them here for solarpunk aesthetic week 🌿☀️🌻🌿

[Image ID: the first image is of three bracelets. One made of three silver metal beads in between one reddish wood bead (thats the pattern), the second is completely made out of safety pins and the last one is made of green wooden oval beads that I weaved yarn through to connect them so they all lay vertically next to each other.

The next image is of a large piece of twine layered over itself, a necklace, with random colorful glass, wood and metal beads scattered all throughout it about an inch apart from each other. They're held in place on the twine with knots so they don't slide around.

The third image is a necklace with a light colored leather cord, with varying colors and shapes of wooden beads on both sides of the pendant. The pendant is an aged gold colored metal sun with a black crystal center. The colors of the beads include dark brown, light brown and in between, with two different sized sphere shapes and lighter tube shaped ones.

The fourth image is of two necklaces almost identical to each other. Both have five small wood beads on both sides of the pendants near the bottom, and multiple small green wood beads tied onto the thin twine cord almost an inch apart from each other. Both pendants are smooth stones, one is a yellow triangle shape and one is a dark grayish blue sharp tooth shape.

The next necklace is on a light colored leather cord. The pendant is a light pink jade donut shaped stone and the beads are varying sizes of wooden beads that are light brown and green with some metal ones in there. The bead closest to the pendant at the bottom holding both sides of the cord together is a white plastic bead with a black spiral design and there are two metal tube beads splitting the cord into two sections, then the rest of the beads are strung up from there

The final necklace is made of varying colors and shapes of steampunk gears. There are bronze, silver and green oxidized copper ones all about the size of a quarter. Some are a little bigger than that. They're all attached to each other in a chain linked together with large silver jump rings and the part that hangs it from the neck is made of silver necklace chain. End ID]

her skirt is really cool too,, also satin-y and the designs on it are so intricate jfkdjsl hard to see but its like dragons, scales and clouds in that traditional (?) chinese dragon type of art style and i think its supposed to be reminiscent of embroidery ? anyway i like how theres a lil transitions between colors on her knees

her ears are bigger and gold and i actually rlly like the design of them idk. earrings are like a knot talisman -- which from what i can tell the knot talisman is the endless loop// pán cháng [meaning infinity and longevity] :) -- and lil jade hoops and her makeup is that scaled design again lol

she has a lil reptilian kind of pupil BUT ALSO i always go crazy when characters have hazel eyes because i have hazel eyes and i never see it in character designs AND JINAFIRE HAS HAZEL EYES brown to green/grey to golden brown OUGHHHH fuck yeah bro

her hands have this cool wavy design on them and her claws are super long and pointy. a lil different than the g3 cartoon (she has green hands and just her nails are golden) but the g3 dolls dont ever really reflect the cartoon 1:1 anyway. plus i lowkey like her gold hands over green too HAHA. also jade bracelets (and necklaces) !! one is a beaded one and the other is a bangle :3

sommore dragon art on her shoes, the heels are a dragon too (although very hard to make out HAHA) the green part is iridescent too and the toes are upturned which from what ive seen is also a traditional shoe style, and it looks like the red ribbon part is another talisman but i cant find a specific name /example for it hmm... unfortunately no dragon-ish feet like her hands BUT her calves are WAY more defined than other g3 molds so i think thats interesting lol

Cultural Fashion: Earth King Kuei Pt. 1 - Head & Shoulders

The “Cultural Fashion” posts that no one asked for! ^_^

The Earth King’s design is inspired by the dress of Qing Dynasty emperors (1636–1912) in their royal portraits. Starting from the top: The hat worn is called a cháoguān (朝冠) in Mandarin, meaning “court hat”, and a mahala (ᠮᠠᡥᠠᠯᠠ ) in Manchu, meaning “morning crown”. This hat was only allowed to be worn by Qing emperors and members of the imperial family. The chaoguan came in two styles: one for cold weather (what the Earth King wears) and one for warm weather (pictured here).

Moving on to the neck, the little collar-cape is called a pī lǐng (披领), meaning “detachable collar”. This collar was worn by members of the imperial family, nobility, and court officials for formal occasions. The necklace is called a cháozhū (朝珠), meaning “court beads”. Traditionally, chaozhu were only allowed to be worn by Qing dynasty emperors, members of the imperial family, 1st through 5th rank imperial civil officials, and military officials above the 4th rank. The chaozhu of an emperor was typically composed of multiple valuable materials such as pearl, coral, amber, jade, and other precious stones. For animation purposes, the Earth King’s simplified chaozhu is composed exclusively of jade beads.

Fun Fact: Chaozhu were actually inspired by Tibetan prayer beads! However, they lost their religious connotation once they became adopted as court dress.

i just realised we didn’t get to see AU linzin on their wedding day!!!

Hello! Yes, we haven't yet and that's a crime lol

I don't have concrete ideas on how it goes, but I did drop a few hints in one of the Choices, Chances, Changes chapter, which was that:

Lin and Tenzin each combine a handful of sand into a bag to represent that their love can never be separated

It was on a full moon night and Linzin danced at the beach at night right after their wedding

So for the spontaneous ideas that come to mind, here is what I got as I freewrite this:

Small wedding at sunset on Air Temple Island. There's a spot on back that not many people venture and is large enough to hold a gathering. It's got a great view of the sunset and is close to the beach

Rather than wear the colors of their respective elements, they switch. Lin wears a red hanbok with Air Nation designs. Tenzin wears metal cuffs and a green traditional hanfu

The acolytes were not invited

Tenzin wanted to see Lin in her wedding attire when it was time to meet and walk down the aisle. His jaw dropped as soon as he saw her and couldn't be more proud of himself that he was the one to walk down the aisle as her husband

Lin is gifted something from each nation to incorporate into her wedding fit

Poppy helped her with the dress and had it custom-made, and she also gave Lin a jade and gold hairpin (Earth)

Aang gives Lin traditional beads (Air)

Lin wears the betrothal necklace Tenzin carved for her (Water)

Izumi gifts her priceless jade rings carved in the Fire Nation and also norigae (Fire)

Lin is so nervous about these precious items rather than the wedding itself lol

Izumi: Do you know how many groupies want to be in your spot? Lin: Yes Izumi (puts an extra jade pin in Lin's hair) then shut up and wear them proudly

Dialogue that I brainstormed with Peach a long time ago xD

Katara: You look so beautiful, Lin! Kya: Tenzin is gonna be stunned Toph: He'd be happy if she was naked too

When Lin and Tenzin kiss, he swirls some wind so that their clothes can flow perfectly + Lin's hair is spiralling up in beautiful curlsand a photographer gets the perfect snapshot

Flowers arch over them and Aang airbends the softest wind so that flowers fall above Linzin while they kiss
