This is Ice Man. He was built by Dr. Light to assist with Arctic and Antarctic exploration. He can function in temperatures well below freezing that normal humans couldn't handle. His "Ice Slasher" attack can freeze anyone in their tracks!

Jada Toys Fire Man Figure!

Getting out of bed & showing off all the pieces!

there’s a fancy stand just for this one piece of fire. There’s no way to attach it to the actual figure, but you can make a floating head ig.

He’s definitely the nicest figure I own 😅. Here he is posing with the homies! As of posting, him and the iceman figure in this line are available online for 20$ each. Great deal if you ask me!

JADA's New 1/24 Scale Optimus Prime & Ecto-1 Crossover Models for Transformers and Ghostbusters 40th Anniversary
Tumblr media
I think they look great, so I went out and took some shots of them
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Optimus Slimer
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
and Ecto-Bot (different than Ectotron I guess haha)
Some things I've noted about the models if you're thinking of buying them yourself:
-They both cost me about $45 USD each, but that was me preordering them, I believe you can buy them for around $20 USD now on Amazon.
-These are technically just recolors; if you already have a regular Ecto-1 or Optimus Prime from Jada, these are from the exact same molds, though I will say they did put some effort into the recolor, because even stuff like the glass windows are tinted a different color.
-And there is a lot of cool details here. Optimus, like all other Jada Transformers toys, has the bot mode on the underside of the truck that's colored like he is in the Ghostbusters/Transformers crossover comic. He also has splots of slimer gunk all over him which I think is neat. And of course, Optimus has the Ghostbusters symbol and Ecto has the Autobot symbol.
-Although, both of their license plates read "Ecto-1" same as my original ECTO-1 model, which I thought was a bit odd. I would've been nice if they were different, both from Ecto-1 and from each other.
-There seems to have been a drop in Jada quality a bit with the last few recent products I've bought from them, including these two and an Impala model I got in December. Nothing drastic of course, the metal is still firm and molded well and the paint is still great. Just little things, like the rubber tires not fitting onto the wheel well and Optimus' doors being awfully stiff and a lit crooked. And the pack details on Ecto's roof are definitely flimsier here than they are on original Ecto-1's roof, like they're made of a cheaper plastic.
BUT, I'm being nitpicky here, like I always am with my model cars. Let me know how my photography looks! I have more photos if anyone wants to see.

Coming in from Jada Toys is Chun-Li, from their Street Fighter II line. This is a line I've been wanting to get into, but it's been kinda hard to find. Was very excited by what I saw from reviews and knowing Jada's quality from previous Universal Monster figures.
Chunners here doesn't disappoint. She feels great to pose, with only some slight looseness to the hips being my only gripe in that regard. I use the term loose very, uhhh, loosely here since they're still quite stable. The standard facesculpt is good, but I do wish there was a bit more emotion to it. That being said, there's plenty emotion in the yelling face and that turned out great! Super emotive heads like that can be hard to do, but they really knocked it out of the park there.
This is a damn good toy, especially for $25. Value for money here is so good, you get a solid lot of accessories and the figure itself feels really nice. Jada Toys is only getting better.

So JADA's Megaman line knocked it out of the park for wave 1! Been sitting on these for about a week now to try and really get the most I could out of these shots. This is the first time a mainline megaman toyline has given us actual robot masters since the jazzwares days and they're honestly perfect. I'm a HUGE fan of the classic megaman games, but especially the manual art and designs of the robot masters and this knocks it out of the PARK. Most collectors lines shy away from making robot masters, despite it being easy reuse (fireman reuses almost all of megaman's tooling possible and Iceman uses the arms and shoes for example). But I cannot express enough how GOOD these are in hand. Hands down my favorite megaman toys produced ever. They scale perfectly with the various lines to other platformer classics out there too if you were worried it wouldn't work for like, idk a smash display or whatever.

But still, absolute fantastic first wave. Be sure to go out and pick up the robot masters specifically so JADA goes through with doing more if you're interested.

Two great fighters
These two figures are the best. Jada Toys figure of Ryu and S.H. Figurarts Goku figure are quite something. Couldn’t help myself, had to do this classic pose.

Chun-Li
- from Ultra Street Fighter II
- by Jada Toys
Quick Shot
Another knockout from Jada.
Chun-Li came out a little later than Ryu and Fei Long in Jada Toys' Street Fighter 2 line, so expectations were high. But rest assured - she's just as impressive as the first two outings.
Great sculpt. Very defined features and textures - good paint (the face is good, but the finish is a little glossy - see the way different lighting affects it drastically) and the soft goods feel robust enough to stand the test of time.
Her lightning kick accessory stinks though - just a useless lump of squishy plastic. That's fine though, you're getting an excellent action figure for the price of admission. And it proves that Jada is a worthy steward of the Street Fighter line.
I'll take more pictures showing off the articulation for all three figures soon.

"Night Bloom". Anneliese Seubert in a ball gown by John Galliano for Haute Couture Givenchi, Paris, 1966".
Spotlight On Photographer Lillian Bassman :
'Revisit a Lifetime of Fashion Photography with Lillian Bassman" by Steph Eckardt
"As the art director of Junior Bazaar, a short-lived Harper’s Bazaar spin-off, Lillian Bassman spent the early 40’s working with photography greats like Robert Frank and Richard Avedon. Then she decided to pick up the camera herself. Soon, it was Bassman’s own images appearing in the pages of Bazaar—carefully blurred, fashion-focused silhouettes that John Galliano once described as possessed of “painterly strokes of light.” Though she did lose a bit of fire at one point—Bassman destroyed decades’ worth of prints and negatives in the 70’s, even debating abandoning the medium—she stuck with her instantly recognizable black-and-white photography, shooting Galliano’s designs up into the 90’s, even toying around with digital before she died in 2012. These monsters wanted to include Spider-Man in their monster mash, but none of them seemed to realize he wasn’t a literal spider man until it was too late.
