Jacob has trust issues and it really shows when it comes to his love interests. But that's not a problem he had when it came to Sarina. It's one of the reasons I love them as a couple.

I know that Cass wasn't canonically his love interest, but it's still really obvious how much her betrayal hurt him.

Then there was Mabel who kept secrets and lied pretty much the entire time she knew Jacob.

But Sarina didn't lie to Jacob. Same day they met, she was up front about who she was and why she was at the Team Building Camp.

She admitted to being an undercover journalist, that she'd been fired for writing about magic. Opened up about loosing her reputation. And that she wrote about the Library. She took a risk doing so. She wasn't aware that he was a Librarian and that he already knew that magic existed. She risked someone else believing she was crazy. Risked possibly getting fired from her camp counselor job.

But that didn't stop Sarina from trusting Jacob with the truth. Sarina's honesty separates her from Jake's other love interests. The others had good reasons for their betrayals and lies and none had real malicious intent. But it doesn't negate any hurt they caused Jacob by breaking his trust. Sarina showed Jake that he could trust her by trusting him first. And in return, he trusted her.

She further proved she was trustworthy by pulling her stories about the Library.

It's shown subtly, but a mutual trust exists between Jacob and Sarina. And that is so important.

I've aged probably everyone sooo, Sam is 26, Emily is 25. Leah is 23. Jared and Paul are 19 (in a nearby community college) and just one semester from graduating. Jake, Reader and Embry are 18. Quil, Seth, Brody are 17. Cam and Seth are 16

He kicks his bike stand up, so it stays upright while he waits for you to exit the school. He crosses his arms, not wanting anyone to talk to him, hoping he looks “menacing” enough for his classmates to get the hint and steer clear of him.

He knows Quil and Embry made their way back to Emily's since Sam wants them to do their patrol shift as soon as they can once they finished with their last class.

He couldn't complain much considering he was able to go home and change before heading back to pick you up so he could successfully switch shifts with Embry, which annoys him since Sam basically ordered him to pick you up.

He’d be more okay with it if you two were friends- or even talking; he doesn’t know why he was put to the job since you two aren’t close- or at least, compared to Jared and Paul.

Jake did recently find out (after complaining to the guys when their alpha wasn’t around) you’re Sam's niece and Emily has taken a light to you, thinking of you as her own daughter.

And the only reason he thinks that is because of how she treats you; it always reminds him of the way his mom took care of him and his sisters when they were younger.

Don't get him wrong, he has no problem with that or the way she treats you, he's more curious than anything since you haven't been talking to him.

It kind of bugs him that you talk to Paul and Jared more than him and isn't sure why. He gets the two shifted before everyone, but you've started talking to Embry and Quil so why not him too? Hell, you’ve even started making small talk with the newest shifters Brady and Collin.

He thinks this is why Sam sent him here, so he'll stop moping around about you and not just because the pack is tired of hearing how sad he is with you not talking to him.

The chanting, "fight, fight, fight," overtakes his sense in waiting for you and he steps closer.

He stops behind the wall of people, checking on who's fighting, curious as to who's stupid enough to fight on school property.

The fist flies to your face and he starts fighting his way to get past the people blocking him from getting to you.

You spit, not wanting the copper taste to remain in your mouth. You turn your head back to David, not wanting to give him the satisfaction of feeling like he won.

You kick his upper thigh, right above his knee and knock him down before pulling your arm back and drive your fist as hard as you can into his cheek.

He falls and cups his cheek, whining about the pain and the fact that he's bleeding.

"Talk about my family again and you'll be bleeding more."

Jacob finally breaks through the crowd and pushes David's friend away before the guy could grab you. "Back off," he growls.

The friend raises his hands in defense and backs away, noticing how buff he'd gotten and knows better to not fight Jacob.

He turns to you, smelling blood on you and cups your face, searching to find the damage, ignoring your eyes as the blood from your lip drips further down your chin. "Come on."

He puts you on the back of his bike and starts it before kicking the kickstand.

You unwrap your arms and get off the bike, trying to put distance between you, Jacob, and your home.

He grabs your wrist, "where do you think you're going?"

"Away."

"Just because you want to hide your face from Emily and Sam, doesn't mean you can run away."

"I can still try." You tug on his arm. "Let me go."

"No, you need to go in there and face them."

You stop fighting and he lets go of you, trusting that you won't leave. "I don't want Sam to be disappointed."

"Did you pick a fight with David on purpose?"

You shake your head, "of course not."

"Then he won't be disappointed... as long as you talk to him."

"Says the guy who fights him every chance he gets."

That earns a chuckle from Jake. "Says the mousy niece."

You scoff, shoving his arm. "Hey, I'm not mousy."

"This is the longest conversation we've ever had."

"That's your fault, you're always mopey."

"I am not."

"Are so."

"Am-"

You walk through the door.

Emily's voice interrupts yours and everyone else's conversations. "I'm happy to see the two of you are talking." She smiles with a twinkle shining in her eye that quickly dies as soon as she catches sight of your face.

"Oh my- what the hell happened to you?" She grabs your chin, tilting so she can look at your face. "Who did this?"

Paul tenses, Jared tries to see over her shoulder.

Embry and Quil walk through the back door and glance at one another with concern evident on their faces once they realize what’s happened.

"Don't tell, Sam," you reply, staring into her eyes, practically begging her not to tell him.

"Don't tell me what?"

You grimace and then wince because your adrenaline has worn off and the pain has surfaced. "How much I love you?" You say without turning.

"I don't buy it." He wraps an arm around Emily, pecking her cheek. "Did you cut your finger again?" He asks with the scent of blood wafting through the room.

"Uh-" She catches your eye as she glances down at her hands. "Maybe, I don't know."

You attempt to sneak away while he's distracted and fail.

"Turn around."

You pout, keeping your head low as you turn.

"Lift your head."

"I like staring at my shoes while they're clean."

He grumbles your name under his breath.

You lift your head and sigh. "I may have gotten into an altercation at school."

"What the hell happened?"

"That's what I was asking before you got here?" Emily chimes in.

"And I was avoiding it then."

"What did you do?"

You scoff, "I didn't do anything, you dick."

"That is no way to talk to your uncle," she tells you.

You stare at her, "I'm going to give him the same respect he gives me," and turn to him. "Which is none."

You exit the room when you realize none of you are going to be able to have a proper conversation and make your way to your room, slamming the door behind you.

"What happened while you were waiting for her?" Sam towers over Jacob, attempting to search through his mind to figure out what could have happened.

"I don't- I don't know. I was waiting and then I heard the other kids chanting, fight and then I saw her get hit and then take down David-"

"Wait- she was fighting David?" Jared chimes in with a smile.

"He deserves it," Paul adds.

"Guys a grade A asshole," Embry says before snacking on a muffin.

"So, this fight was valid?" Sam asks, wanting to understand everything he's learned within the last five minutes.

"No, it wasn't valid because fighting isn't the solution, is it boys?" Emily turns to the boys at the table.

"No," everyone answers.

"Good," she smiles.

"But this hasn't happened before? What's happened? This David- or whoever clearly said something for her to act out."

"He was talking about my family," you tell them, leaning against the wall with your arms crossed.

"That doesn't give you enough reason to fight," she tells you.

"It does when they start making fun of your dead parents and uncle who's running a cult."

They purse their lips.

"How do you feel?"

You shrug, "my fist and face are aching, so I'd say I did something right."

She sighs. "Fighting isn't the answer."

"I know that!"

"Then why did you do it?"

Your emotions cause you to snap. "I was tired of him thinking he could still bully me!"

She takes a few steps closer to you. "This has been going on for a while now. Why didn't you tell us?"

"I didn't want either of you to walk into the principal's office thinking you could stop it when it'd only make things worse," you grumble.

"We could have found another way to stop him from making comments."

"I took care of it the only way I could."

"There's always more than one way-"

"I know," you run your fingers through your hair in a frustrated manner. "I wasn't thinking but he wouldn't shut up. He waited a few months, giving me a grievance period but then he started talking shit again and today he wouldn't leave me alone."

"Why didn't you tell us?" Jared asks.

"Yeah," you scoff, "because I wanted you guys to help when the hothead is one fight away from being expelled. Everyone still thinks those two," you point to Embry and Quil. "Are weird because they suddenly got buff and had a haircut. Don't even mention the fact that Jake along with Brady and Collin are the new talk of the pack."

Sam sighs, rubbing a hand over his face. "Just, go clean the blood off as best you can, and Emily will wrap your wounds."

"I already did."

"Then go get the first aid kit and bring it in here."

You walk back into the bathroom throwing everything you’d laid out on the counter back into the bag and aim for the kitchen. "Heal me with your magical powers, Em."

She smiles and wraps an arm around your shoulders as she guides you to the island so she can use the natural light to check over you. "Does this hurt?"

"Not yet."

"Okay, let me know when it-"

You suck in a deep breath through your teeth.

"Hurts. You okay?"

"Peachy, Em."

"I know you had to defend yourself today, but fighting isn't always the answer."

"Yeah, I know," you reply with an attitude.

"I'm just reminding you, so you don't continue hurting yourself. You're not like the others, and I don't like seeing you get hurt."

"Thanks, Emily," you wrap your arms around her and pull her in for a long hug.

She smiles, returning the hug. "Don't go getting into fights again or else I'm going to bubble wrap you."

You chuckle. "As long as you save me from a Sam lecture."

"Deal." She slides the plate with muffins, closer to you. "Eat something first."

The guys shake their heads at your behavior.

"Does this mean I can hang out with you guys?"

"You hang out with us already," Jacob points out.

"Cliff diving." You unwrap your muffin.

"Absolutely not," your uncle tells you.

"Come on."

"No,” Sam shakes his head.

"Guys," you beg, turning around to look at the others.

"We're not getting involved in that," Paul raises his hands, heading towards the couch.

- Extra -

"Wha-"

"I'm with Paul," Embry tells you, pulling Quil with him as they sit beside Jared.

You turn to face your knight in shining armor. “Jake-”

He turns away from the others and glances back at you, the humor falling from his face.

“Oh, shit,” Jared mutters.

“Are you serious?” Embry whines.

You owlishly blink trying to figure out what’s happened when he falls to his knees. You set your muffin down and push yourself off the stool to stand in front of him. You poke his shoulder. “Are you okay?”

“It’s you,” he mutters.

You raise your head and face the others with a scared and confused expression. “Guys, what the hell just happened?”

Paul smirks and looks away.

Jared buries his face with a muffin.

Embry and Quil face the tv, not wanting to see how things plays out.

Brady and Collin walk through the door.

“Holy shit,” the former says.

“Congrats, Jake. You finally got your imprint,” the latter adds.

“What?” You spin around to face Emily. “Imprint? That’s what just happened?”

Sam rubs a hand over his face. This was the last thing they needed.

“Did we- did you not know?” Brady asks you.

“Does this look like the face of someone who’s in the know? Does it. Brady?”

Collin pulls his buddy away before you can rip their heads off.

“I think we need to talk,” Sam says, pulling Jacob off the ground. “Outside.”

You three stand on the porch, trying to wrap your heads around the whole situation.

“I don’t know what this means,” you tell them.

“This means, no being alone in your room. No sneaking out after curfew. No-”

“Sam, we’re not dating. This doesn’t apply to us.”

“It could,” he says, finally snapping out of his mind.

“What?”

“It- the imprint bond doesn’t happen by accident, it’s the joining of when two soulmates find each other.”

“So, we’re soulmates?”

He nods.

“I thought you were in love with Bella?”

“I was.”

“And now you’re not? You couldn’t have moved on that fast just because of this bond.”

He sighs, “I know this is going to be a lot of work, but I want to get to know you whether we go out or not… even though dating you-”

The clearing of someone’s throat cuts him off.

He sheepishly smiles, rubbing the back of his head. “We’ll talk more later.”

You can’t help but giggle and wince soon after.

He’s kneeling in front of you in seconds, searching for any sign of pain. “Are you okay?”

“I’m fine. My lip is going to be the kill joy of my existence for a few days but I’m fine.” You place a hand on his shoulder, “thanks for pulling me out of there when you did.”

He shakes his head, “it was nothing.”

“It was more than you know, and I know you were only there because Uncle Sam made you, but I still wanted to thank you.”

He can’t help the wide smile that stretches across his lips. “I’ll always be there for you.”

Sam throws you over his shoulder. “Babe, where’s the extra wood I keep for the winter?”

“Back room, why?” She asks, watching as you beat on his back.

“I’m locking some doors.”

“Sam, no!” You screech. “Boys, help me.”

“He’s the alpha, what he says go,” Paul tells you.

“You suck, Lahote.”

“You’re gonna be swallowing, princess.”

Paul has never shifted and ran out of his alpha’s place as quickly as he did today.

The others lose their minds as he runs all around, nearly bumping into the clearwater siblings as they head towards the place.

"ECHO!"

After hearing someone call out my name, I was instantly tackled to the ground, which made me let out a grunt. I turned around in the person's hold and changed our positions. I pressed the person's head hard and I heard laughters around me. I looked up to see several Native Americans standing, laughing and pointing.

I immediately recognized the people and looked down to see the person was in fact Jacob. I shook my head and slapped Jake on his head, "What the hell? I just got here and you tackle me bruh?"

I got up from the floor, handing out a hand for Jake to grab and pulled him up. I brushed off the dirt from my clothes and waved at everyone.

"Hey guys! No time long see," I chuckled.

This brought on cheers from everyone and each of them gave me hugs.

"Welcome back," Sam said.

"Bout time you're back," Paul said, punching me in the shoulder.

"""You're back!""" Quil, Embry, and Jared cheered, giving me pats on the back.

""I missed you,"" Collin and Brady, the two youngest shifters, murmured while hugging me tightly. I looked after the two boys when their moms were busy as if they were my own children.

I smiled softly, hugging them tightly, "I missed you both too, kiddos."

We broke the hugs and the boys stepped away for me to see the last two members, Leah and Seth. They stood there for a moment until I opened my arms for them which got them to jump at me, hugging me.

"I missed you guys, my baby brother and little sister," I hugged them tightly, kissing each their foreheads.

"I missed you too, E," Seth murmured while Leah nodded in agreement.

After few moments, we broke the hug and turned to face the group. I studied each one of them and noticed something.

"Brady...Collin...you're tall?" I was a bit confused.

Everyone suddenly got serious. Sam stepped forward with a serious face, "We have a situation and it's bad."

I frowned and nodded. We all went into the pack house where Sam and Jake explained what was happening.

An hour later, I found myself sitting in the recliner chair in disbelief.

"I've only been gone for two years in the Army and I come back to a potential vampire war between the Cullens and their vampire government?"

"Yup.""Pretty much.""Yes.""Correct."

Everyone chimed in.

"So, there are more vampires each day which caused Brady and Collin to phase despite their young ages?" I frowned.

"Yeah, but it's totally fine. I mean, it's awesome that we get to be huge wolf shifters. Although, the patrolling sucks and the smell of the vampires is horrible, it's cool," Collin explained with a smile while Brady nodded in agreement.

I just chuckled at Collin and Brady's nonchalant attitude about shifting and the whole vampire situation. I stood up from my seat and looked at Sam.

"What do we do now?" I asked.

"You take the alpha position back. I was just holding it for you until you come back or Jake takes it but he doesn't want to," Sam said.

I nodded and looked at the pack, "Alright, let's go see the vamps."

Everyone cheered and exited the house and shifted, leaving shredded clothes all over the place. I sighed and shifted, thankfully not tearing the clothes. For some reason, the clothes I wear melds in with me, allowing me to shift freely.

'Let's go!' I spoke into the pack link and we ran off into the woods.

Rosalie

I was in the living room, chatting with Tanya and Kate when we heard the howls. Everyone in the house snapped their attention to outside when we heard the snaps of the branches as the wolves emerges from the forest. We all headed out onto the patio as the wolves sat in line. I growled softly as their horrible stenches wafted through my nose.

Damn mutts.

Edward, have heard my thoughts, sent me a glare which I replied back one.

Get the fuck out of my head.

Edward shook his head and looked back at the wolves while Carlisle stood forward, "Hello, is there something you need?"

"Sam said that the alpha would like to meet us," Edward spoke for the pack.

Carlisle frowned, "I thought Sam is the alpha?"

Edward shook his head, "Sam said that he was holding the position until their alpha comes back and they did, just today."

Carlisle nodded, "Of course, are they willing to speak with us?"

With that, the wolves parted, allowing the alpha to walk. They were huge, towering at 8 feet tall, with the black fur coat and white tribal marks all over its body. The wolf has bright red eyes, which was a huge contrast compared against the other wolves. Soon, we saw her fur slowly recede, revealing deep tanned skin.

This wolf can shift with clothes? I've never seen that.

The wolf turns out to be a girl, a very tall girl standing at 6'5 feet and shoulder length black hair. She is wearing black loose shorts with light beige baggy shirt and no shoes. From what I could see is that she have multiple tattoos all over her body. She walked up to Carlisle and handed out her hand.

"Pleasure to meet you. I am Echo Clearwater, the alpha," she finally spoke, her voice was deep and rich like honey to my ears.

"Hello Echo, it's nice to meet you. I am Carlisle, leader of the Cullen Coven. These are my family, my wife Esme, my sons, Emmett and Edward, Edward's wife, Bella, and their daughter, Renesmee. And lastly, my daughter, Rosalie. I have two more but they are currently out of town," Carlisle introduced us to her as she examined each of us.

As soon her eyes connected with mine, I instantly felt something shifted inside me and I could tell something happened to her as her jaw drops and her pack starts whining.

Mate. Shit. Fuck.

I frowned and broke eye contact with her, turning my attention to Edward whose eyes were wide when he read our minds.

"Uh...nice to meet you. I-I just want to know the plan for when the vamp government comes," She stuttered.

With that, Carlisle and the others talked about the battle plan while Echo nodded, giving some inputs. It took about an hour before we concluded. During that hour, I spent my time stealing looks at Echo and half of the time, she caught me and vice versa. Echo looked back at the pack sending them a signal and they left leaving her alone.

Carlisle and the rest stared at her confused while Echo stared at me. Edward, being the mind invader, took the hint and spoke, "Let's go in and leave the two alone."

The others were confused until Edward made eye motions between me and Echo which caused them to finally understand and smiled widely. They shuffled into the house leaving me alone on the porch and her on the ground.

"Um, w-would you like to go take a walk in the forest?" She asked, rubbing the back of her neck.

I sighed and nodded silently, jumping off the porch and walked past by Echo into the forest. I could hear her shuffling behind me as we trek deeper into the forest, away from the vampire hearing range. I saw a log sitting in the middle and took a sat on it, turning my attention on her.

Echo

Damn, she can be quite scary. But, scary hot.

"So, um, you're a vamp...and my mate."

I groaned silently.

Like who the fuck says that? Why am I so fucking awkward? God, first time I talk to her and I go, you vamp? I just wanna die. Shit. I hope the pack doesn't see this or Imma kill myself.

My inner turmoil was interrupted by a beautiful sound, I looked up and saw that she was laughing. My breath was taken away. Her blonde hair shone brightly, her face filled with adorable crinkles, and her golden amber eyes glitter with amusement.

Even though she's laughing at me, she's absolutely gorgeous.

After my fumble, we actually manage to get a conversation going. It was late when we realized that we spent 8 hours chatting about everything. I can absolutely tell you that I was smitten by this girl. I stood up from my spot and brushed off the dirt from my pants from sitting too long. Then, I reached out my hand for her to take which she did.

I decided to walk Rosalie back home and during mid walk, we had our arms down and occasionally, our hands would brush against each other. After couple times, I finally took the initiative to capture her hand in mine and squeeze it softly while staring ahead.

I could feel her gaze at my head and out of the corner of my eye, I can see her look forward with a small smile on her face and she squeezed my hand. We finally ended up at the house and I stopped at the edge of the forest.

"So, I'll see you later?" I asked hopefully, rocking on my heels.

She chuckled softly and nodded, "Yes," stepping into my space. I looked down to see her face while she looked up. It took a second before she stood on her tippy toes and land a soft kiss on my cheek.

Then she backed away and headed for the door, leaving me there stunned while holding my cheek in awe. Before she opened the door, she turned around and gave me a finger wave and entered her home. I smiled widely and in my excitement, I accidentally shifted. I turned around and headed home.

You turn to see Quil's imprint, Spencer. "Girl, you won't believe what just happened." She has a goofy grin. You turn toward her, and Embry steps beside you. She looks at Embry. "Sorry, Em. Girl talk." She laughs. "AH! Okay, I see. I'm offended!" He puts a hand over his chest and then swims away. You pinch the bridge of your nose. "What am I going to do with him?" You chuckle. "Kill him." She jokes. "Thought about it!" You laugh. "Anyways, what is it?" She looks around and then whispers in your ear. "So, Marabelle and Brandy were sitting in Leah's truck, putting sunscreen on Marabelle's irish ass." She stops and laughs. You giggle, too. You guys love picking with her. But you always remind her she's stunning! "Brandy was trying to find chapstick but found a box with a ring in it! She quickly hid it." She turns back, looking around. Everyone is out of the water and hanging out on the beach towels. You and Spencer are the only ones in the water. "Marabelle doesn't know. Brandy asked Leah. Leah got upset that Brandy knew but got over it. Now she's telling every imprint. She sent me out here to tell you." She puts a hand over her mouth, bursting in giggles. "Oh my God, I'm so fucking excited." You squeal. "Shh! C'mon. Let's join them!" She grabs your hand, and you two make your way to the group. Embry is lying down on top of Jacob. "Dude, get the fuck off me." Jacob laughs. Renesmee is facepalming. "Embry, off your boyfriend." You snap. He jumps up and sits next to you. "Bossy." He sighs at you.

After the beach trip, you guys head over to Emily's place. Jacob took Renesmee back to the Cullens. "Dude, I actually do NOT want to go to school tomorrow." Amber groans. Collin puts his arm behind her and pulls her in. "AWE!" He playfully teases. "Shut up, Collin." She groans. "I remember when that was me. Trust me. It's over in the blink of an eye." You reply. Suddenly, screaming is heard outside. "What the hell?" You jump up. You all run outside and see Seth phased, fighting a vampire. Brady and Collin instantly phase. Leah, Sam, Embry, Jared, and Paul get ready, but the three wolves rip his head off. "God damn." You mutter.

The two packs go over to the Cullins to figure out what the hell that was about. The imprints stay behind. "Brandy, Sarah, Amber, I can take you guys home. You need sleep. School is tomorrow." You remind them. Kim checks her watch. "Where are your parents?" She giggles. Rachel finishes painting Emily's toenails. "I'll take them home, guys." Rachel offers. "How about you and me go! The girls can sit in the back. I'd feel more comfortable if both of us adults went. I'm not sure what's out there tonight." Your stomach turns at the thought.

After taking them home, you, Spencer, Kim, Marabelle, Rachel, and Emily are sleeping in the living room. You're on the floor next to Kim. The door opens, and you all wake up besides Rachel. The two packs step inside and start talking. You hit Rachel with a pillow to wake her up. "Guys, the two Russians that wanted to kill the volturi had made a clan. They're getting revenge on us." Sam says. You all look at each other. "How many are there?" Emily asks. "Don't know just yet." He replies. "Did you make sure my girl got home safely?" Collin asks. "Yes. All of them. We walked them to the doors and all." You reply. "This is going to end badly." Seth says sadly. "Don't say that. We've been going on strong." Emily says. Leah tears up and then sits on the couch next to Marabelle. Your gut starts to twist as you remember what she had planned.

Everyone slept huddled up at Emily's house.

2 days later:

Your mouth is taped, and you're tied up on the same pole as Amber. There's a singular lamp in the basement. There are other poles around the room. Brandy and Emily, Spencer by herself, Kim and Rachel, Marabelle and Sarah. You look around and see everyone panicking. You guys were taken by a group of Russian vampires. This is actually insane. There's one vampire standing in the corner of the room. "Girls, you are fine! We aren't going to kill you. Not just yet, anyway!" He walks around everyone. His legs walk in front of you and all around the poles, watching you girls. You roll your eyes at how cheesy this is. He rips the tape off of Sarah's mouth. She screams and kicks her legs. Emily starts screaming, but it's muffled. He rips her tape off. "She's just a kid! Leave her alone!" Emily screams. "God, I don't care if all of you were kids. We hold you hostage to bring the wolves here, and then we kill them and kill you! Easy." He tapes her mouth back up. Sarah starts wailing. "Shut up! I can already tell you're my least favorite." He tapes her mouth.

After a few hours, you're rubbing Amber's hand that's tied with yours. You're trying to let her know it's going to be okay. The basement door bursts open, and the Russian vampire hisses. In walks, Rosalie and Alice. "Let them go." Rosalie spits. "No." He simply says. They start to fight. You're so focused on making sure that no bodies start flying and hitting one of the kids. Spencer is by herself and closest to them fighting. You're getting anxious. Somehow, Amber gets the tape off her mouth. "Where's everyone?" She calls out. Alice stopped while Rose had the guy held down. "Batteling." She says and rips his head off of his body. "Come on. We have to light his body." Alice starts untying all of you. Rosalie is ripping off his limbs. "Is he the only one here?!" You ask. "Yes! We are going to run upstairs." Alice says. Once everyone is untied, you grab Sarah, who is having a mental breakdown. You hold onto her. "Y/n, is everything going to be okay?" She cries. "Yes." You kiss the top of her head.

Rosalie and Alice go back to the battle after bringing you girls to their house. Renesmee and Bella are there to protect you. "Alice showed me. It's going to be okay." Bella hugs Amber. Everyone is worried about their wolves. You are sipping on your glass of water. Renesmee shared some of her snacks.

Bella stands up and smiles. "Everyone is here." She says. You all stand up and run outside. You catch Embry's eyes and jump into his arms. "Baby, oh my baby. I was so scared. I'm so fucking sorry." He holds you so tight. "We had to send Alice and Rosalie. I wish I could explain the pain I felt. I still feel it." He starts sniffling. "Embry, please take me home." You softly sob.

You lay on top of Embry's chest. He's playing with your hair and rubbing your arm. "I love you." He whispers. "I love you too, Embry." You look up and kiss his lips. His hands grab your face and pull you up so you're sitting on his waist. You pull away and kiss his neck, leaving wet kisses there. He sighs and leans his head back for you. You kiss lower to his collarbone. His hands make their way to your ass. You bite down, and he moans. You slowly make your way down his stomach, a trail of shiny spots of where your tongue has been. He looks down at you and raises his eyebrow. You start to pull his shorts off.

YUP THE QUEEN WENT TO QUEENING

As a celebration of winning, Emily threw a party. The youngsters are playing in the water. Sam and Paul are cooking on the grill in the sand. You and Embry are sharing a towel, laying down next to each other. You lock your fingers with his and smile. "You're my everything, hot stuff." He smirks. You kiss his cheek and then his temple. "You're mine."

"Guys! I have an announcement to make!" Leah calls out. You and Embry stand up and walk over to Leah. You know exactly what this is about. Marabelle is sitting on the towel, smiling up at her. Everyone stands around them. "I love Marabelle. We all do." She turns to Marabelle and lifts her off the ground, holding both of her hands. "Baby," she gets on one knee and pulls out a box from her bag. Marabelle gasps and covers her mouth. Spencer, who's standing beside you, grabs your arm. "It's happening!" Quil leans into her and whispers, "What's happening?" You and Spencer look at him like, really? "Marabelle, will you marry me?" She asks. "Yes! Fuck! Yes!!!!" She screams. Everyone starts cheering. You scream and then hug Embry. Quil hugs Spencer and looks at her with a certain look. Oh gosh, her turn! You can't help but lift your hand and look at the ring on your finger. Embry whispers in your ear, "What're you thinking about, Mrs. Call?" He chuckles. "Our wedding day." You smile.

It was a hard few days after, well, learning that you were forever bonded to him.

You didn’t quite know what the right move was or if you should consider dating Jacob, even though he had clearly been in love with the whitest girl in Forks.

You gulp as you take a step back. “Could you,” you sigh, not wanting to lose it on the guy when he’s been nothing but nice to you since this whole thing happened. “Jake.”

He wasn’t paying attention and stepped closer to you again, wanting to get more bacon on his plate.

You close your eyes and take a deep breath. “Jake! Would you please get out of my way before I declaw your paws!”

Jared glances back at the two of you, with a piece of toast hanging out of his mouth.

Paul doesn’t do anything to hide his amusement, much to Jacob’s chagrin. “Looks like the princess finally showed off her claws.”

He pats his pack mate’s shoulder, “glad it wasn’t your face that took the brunt of it.” Paul steps away, grabbing the muffin off your plate as he goes to sit down.

You shake your head; definitely not your finest moment. You don’t want to look at him because you don’t want to see his disappointment.

Jacob clears his throat, “we’re going to go outside.”

You open your mouth to argue as a piece of toast is shoved into your mouth.

“I bet that’s not what she imagined getting-” Paul doesn’t need to turn around to know his alpha is staring at him. He bolts out of the chair before anyone can take a breath.

“Paul, get back here.”

The hot head shakes his head as he shifts mid air, running into the woods.

Emily shakes her head sighing.

Jared nods, “I know. I don’t know why Paul thinks he won’t be reprimanded for saying things like that. I mean clearly, she’s going to be the dom over Jake, not the-”

He sheepishly smiles at the angry face his luna is making. “I didn’t mean it,” he sprints out the door. He looks over his shoulder and calls out the her, whining, “don’t call my mom.”

She smiles, picking up her landline, punching in the numbers. “Hi Mrs. Cameron, it’s Emily.”

A sad wolf howl can be heard from the side of the house.

You let him drag you out, unsure of what else to do as you feel down about how you behaved a few minutes ago. You pull the piece of toast out from your mouth. “If you’ve brought me here to kill me, just do it already.”

He scoffs, “I’m not a leech.”

“Oh, he has a heart, how wonderful.”

He rolls his eyes, “would it kill you to act normal?”

You immediately nod, “yes it would and how am I supposed to act normal when none of this is normal.”

He opens his mouth to say something when he realizes you’re right. “Okay fine, maybe none of this is normal but that doesn’t mean you need to act like it’s the end of the world.”

You scoff, “I’m not.”

“Really? I find that hard to believe,” he crosses his arms.

You can’t hold this in anymore.

“You know what, Jake. I’m tired. I’m so sick and tired of this- everything is so crazy and wrong and I,” you close your eyes, not wanting him to see you cry.

You lower your head, holding your breath, trying to keep yourself together.

He can sense your sadness and reaches for you, placing his hand on your arm.

You hiccup, taking a deep breath.

His eyes widen as he pulls you closer; his body heat warming you in a second.

You close your eyes and take a deep breath, to calm yourself enough so you could talk to him without losing control of your emotions.

You can admit sometimes it does help to have a good crying session, but not when you need to talk.

He can tell with how slower your back is moving under his hand that you've managed to calm yourself down. He doesn't say anything to not startle you or break your concentration. He won't do that to you.

“I'm scared,” you mumble.

“Scared of what?”

You want to pull back so you can look into his eyes but you're afraid he won't understand and squeeze him tighter. “This isn't real.”

He opens his mouth to respond and stops, letting your words sink in. He can understand where you're coming from with him being in love with Bella for more than half of his young life but he also knows that this is real. Yes-

He sighs, lowering his chin to rest it on top of your head. “I know this doesn't seem real but it is. My love for Bella has nothing compared to what I feel for you.”

He squeezes you in a tight hug and pulls back. “I know things are all happening fast but I want us to work. You know, I- I can be whatever you want me to be. I can be a- a friend or a brother or more. I don't care as long as I can be in your life. We haven’t known each other long but I do know that I care for you more than I've ever cared for anyone that wasn't my family or, now the pack.”

He sucks in a nervous breath, showing off his pearly whites with his commonly new nervous grin. “I hope I didn't make things weird with that whole um-”

“Speech?” You interrupt.

He nods, “yeah that.”

You purse your lips to hide your amusement. “I,” you sigh. “I have more feelings for you than I thought I would, I'm not entirely sure what they are exactly. I know the bond isn't the whole reason why I feel the way I do but- I- if we're going to start, whatever this is going to be, this needs to start off slow. I don't just jump into things especially when it comes to starting a new relationship with someone.”

“So we're starting a new relationship?” He smirks.

You roll your eyes and smack him with your piece of toast. “God, you're just like a guy.”

“I am a guy.”

“Not right now you are. You're mister professing his love,” you joke.

He rolls his eyes. “Yeah, yeah, make fun of me.” He sits down on a rock nearby, patting the open spot beside you. “I don't want to rush into anything either and I don't want to mess this up... more than I already have-”

You stand in front of him, shaking your head. “You haven't messed anything up.”

“I did. If I didn't you wouldn't have screamed at me-”

“I didn't scream.”

He owlishly blinks. “My ears were close to bleeding.”

Your jaw drops and you smack his arm. “You're so dramatic.”

“Not always.”

You roll your eyes, “sometimes you are.”

He nods, “yeah, I’ll admit that sometimes I am.”

You take a bite of your toast.

“I don’t know how that thing has lasted this entire time.”

You shrug, “I don’t either but here we are.” You slowly lean against him, resting your head on his warm shoulder. “You’re so warm.”

“I bet he could think of another way to warm you up.”

You roll your eyes at Paul’s comment. “Go suck Jared’s-”

Your uncle, still in his wolf form, growls at the two of you.

You take another bite of your toast and look away. “He started it,” you mumble while chewing.

“Let it go,” Jacob advises. “Or else he’ll make you do things you don’t want to do.”

You shake your head, enjoying the scene of Paul trying to run away from his alpha as Jared is on the floor cackling with Embry and Quil joining after the man falls face first into the dirt.

Brady and Collin trail behind the two boys, confused at the sight before them.

“I can’t believe I’m stuck here.” You sigh, throwing your head back against the couch.

“It’s not that bad.”

Your snaps towards Jacob, glaring at him. “I am sicker than- well you know.”

He stares at you with a deadpan expression. “You’re not funny.”

“You’re right, I’m not.”

He nods, happy to see you finally agreeing with him.

“I’m a comedian.” You smile at him before coughing more, your sides start hurting more.

He carefully sits down beside you and hands you your cup of tea.

You breathe in the hot steam for a few minutes before taking a careful sip of the hot beverage.

He doesn’t stare at you (like you’d caught him doing a couple days ago, he doesn’t want you yelling at him again) and waits for you to ask him to set the mug on the table beside him.

He turns at the weight of your head resting against his shoulder and smiles softly at you as you close your eyes and breath in the steam.

His ears pick up on your slow breathing and he grabs the mug from you before you can drop it in your lap. He adjusts himself so you can lay on him, letting you use him as your “personal heater” as you said earlier.

He knew he shouldn’t have taken you out of the house and to the cliffs without a jacket the other day but he can’t deny, he likes you relying on him to take care of you.

He brushes away the few strands of fallen hair out of your face, studying your sleepy expression.

He thanks all the stars that aligned to make you his imprint, you are more than he could have ever wanted in a person. He knows now, as he listens to your breathing, his feelings for Bella are nothing compared to what he feels for you and will continue to feel for you.

He realizes he lied, he can’t be the kind of guy who’s like a brother or a friend to you.

He wants more; the wolf inside him needs more.

He would walk hundreds if not thousands of miles to be the only one to have a romantic relationship with you. He will wait as long as it takes until you feel ready to give your heart to him and chase off anyone he needs to.

He’s yours as you will (hopefully, fingers crossed) be his.

He can’t help himself as he leans forward and pecks your forehead, silently promising to spend his forever with you. 

Extra

Jared walks into your room, searching for Jacob. He needs help with his bike, hell if he knew how to describe what was happening to it.

His jaw drops, surprised to see you bundled in Jacob’s hold. He creeps into the room, practically tip-toeing to the person he needs to talk to.

He bends down and pokes Jacob’s shoulder.

The shifter barely opens his eyes as he lifts his arm to smack Jared in the back of the head, who opens his mouth to whine but is stopped by his friend covering his mouth.

“Make a sound and you’re dead.”

Jared nods, thankful for his shifter healing abilities; if he didn’t have them, he’d have a headache by now. “I need a favor.”

“You need a lot of things.”

Jared rolls his eyes, “okay, that’s fair but I need you to look at my bike.”

“Why?”

“It’s making that weird noise again.”

"Describe it to me."

“No. You made fun of me last time.”

“Fine, if I promise to not make fun of you, will you help describe it so I can figure out your issue.”

“I,” he sighs. “Roo- reer- r-” He stops when Jacob snickers. “You told me you-”

Jared falls on his back and struggles to understand what happened.

The door slams shut up the two boys.

“I told you not to go in there,” says Emily.

“You told me not to wake her,” Jared corrects her.

“And how did that work for you?”

The shifter stomps his feet as he walks down the stairs.

Jacob cackles at his friend's behavior.

“And look what the cat dragged in,” she teases him.

“Hardy-har.”

“I told him not to go in, I knew she’d kick you two out.”

He shrugs, “I know, I mean it was kind of my fault. I knew I shouldn’t have messed with Jarhead.”

“Is that princess’ new nickname?”

“Paul, shut up with that stupid nickname,” you shout from inside your room.

“Hey your voice is coming back,” the hothead comments.

You roll your eyes and open your door, glaring at one of your best friends. “Paul Isabel Lahote-”

“My middle name isn’t-”

“I know your middle name isn’t a girl's name,” you huff. “But your dumbass won’t shut up about this and I can’t take it anymore. You need to shut up so I can feel better.”

“Screaming like that won’t help you.”

You take a step forward and he takes off.

Emily shakes her head, “you’re just like your uncle.”

“Runs in the family, Em.”

Jacob steps forward and blocks your path from Paul. “You’re going back to bed.”

“But-”

He shakes his head, “bed.”

You sigh, “fine.” You sadly walk back into your room.

“Jake, tell me what you did. I can barely get her to help me be my wingman,” Embry whines.

“No one can help that.”

“You all are so rude.”

“We never claimed to be nice,” you say, voice muffled because of the door.

“I’m getting that now. I don’t even know why I shifted now.”

“You had no choice.”

“Shut up.”

Emily shakes her head at the sight of her kids (yes, she’s officially claimed you all) messing around with one another.

6:40 AM - Jacob trades off patrol duties to Seth and tries to sleep

7:40 AM - Jacob's attempts at sleep are interrupted by the arrival of Leah, who had also decided to leave Sam's pack to join Jacob, much to Jacob's and Seth's chagrin

7:45 AM - Leah catches Jake up on what happened after he left, and explains that, while the pack won't attack the Cullen's within the exclusion zone, any Cullens caught outside the perimeter are considered fair game; Seth and Leah patrol the perimeter

7:50 AM - Jake goes to the Cullen House to check in and is met by Carlisle; Carlisle thanks Jacob for helping to protect Bella; Jacob and Carlisle talk supernatural genetics, and Carlisle admits to Jake that he stole a sample of Jake's blood to check his his wolf DNA compared to vampire DNA; Carlisle laments his inability to understand how to feed Bella without the fetus rejecting the food, Jacob makes a wisecrack about it being bloodthirsty, which gives Edward an idea

7:57 AM (Approx.) - Edward proposes feeding Bella human blood and Bella agrees; the blood proves efficacious

8:00 AM (Approx.) - Seth sends out a warning howl of approaching pack members; Jake rejoins Seth and Leah and goes to head them off

8:03 AM (Approx.) - Jared, Paul, Quil and Collin meet Jake, Seth and Leah under a flag of truce; Jared tells Jake that Sue and Billy, upon being consulted, agreed that killing Bella would be an unnecessary sacrifice and that the pack should wait to see if the child is a threat before destroying it; Jared asks Jake to come back to the pack, but Jake poses Seth's point that it may not be possible; Jared tries, unsuccessfully, to manipulate Seth and Leah into rejoining with Sam

8:10 AM (Approx.) - Jared and the other Uley pack members leave; Seth suggests that Sam sent Collin instead of Embry in fear of Embry defecting to Jake

8:15 AM (Approx.) - Jake returns to the Cullen House and discovers that Esme has left some of Emmett's clothes out for Jake; upon entering the house Edward talks with Jacob about Esme's concern for Seth and Leah and extends her offer of comforts and amenities whenever they may need them

8:18 AM (Approx.) - The fetus kicks and Carlisle must take X-Rays to see if Bella's ribs are broken; Jacob, exhausted, lays down on the floor by the open front door; Alice joins him, explaining that the fetus makes it difficult to see Bella's future, which gives Alice headaches and that being near Jacob, whose presence completely blanks out her ability to see the future, soothes them; Jacob says he doesn't mind if Alice uses him as a painkiller, and falls asleep.
