DDLV Friendship Headcanons: Jim Hawkins & Jack Sparrow ---------------------------------------

Upon hearing that a supposed Legendary Pirate Captain was also living in the Valley, Jim got really curious… The last time he met some pirates, they destroyed his family inn, lied to him, fought him, and tried to have him killed!... So it's safe to say he has a bit of a rough relationship with them… (Especially considering that he eventually joins the Royal Navy after the events of the first film…)

But on the other hand, the last time he met a pirate captain, he also taught him pretty much everything he needed to know to graduate from the academy, so he can’t help but be curious to see if this captain is similar…

…

… Their first meeting kind of goes horribly wrong… 

 Both of them heavily underestimate the other at first, and this leads to a drunken Jack Sparrow attempting to ‘borrow’ all of Jim’s money, and an unaware Jim almost lets him…

(The Player probably gets a quest to try and get the two to get along after this REALLY rough introduction)

But after the Player helps Jim calm down, and advises Jack to not try and rob Jim (or anyone else for that matter…), they actually get along fairly well…

I won’t go as far as calling them ‘friends’… more like acquaintances. They don’t ever hang out or do activities together, but they do respect each other quite a lot…

Jack starts to see Jim for what he really is… Daring, Rebellious, and quite Bright for his age… But also very impulsive… he kind of reminds Jack of himself when he was younger… Only difference is Jim is playing for the other team… 

This leads Jack into two different scenarios:

1. Jack always winds up Jim: Whether it’s something small like calling Jim ‘boy’ or ‘kid’, or as big as mocking him, Jack will always be provoking Jim. This usually leads to the two engaging in one of their ‘tests’. 

Scramblecoin, Mining, Fishing and even the occasional spar are the most common ways they try and show up the other. (Although, the Player REFUSES to let the two of them do a sword fight, unless someone else is watching)

2. Jack outright ignores Jim: If they are not bickering like children, or clashing with one another, then they usually just go their separate ways. 

This doesn’t really affect Jack at all, but he knows it gets to Jim ever so slightly, tugging at his insecurities of being undermined and being seen as just a ‘delinquent’.

It’s a really petty tactic, but Jim has also learnt to pick his fights a little better, and usually ignores him too… but with all of the tests they have had, Jim does feel like he is not only improving his skills, but is also getting a much better understanding at how to deal with pirates. 

He can also start to see why ‘Captain Jack Sparrow’ is constantly called a legendary pirate now… as much as he hates to admit it… because goddamn is his constant digs irritating…

There is never any real malice or hostility between the two, it’s more of a rivalry that they have with each other… And as long as Jack doesn’t try and rob Jim again, they should both be alright…

Can you maybe write the DMC boys with a reader who has eye contact anxiety?

Like at first they noticed that she had problems making eye contact, especially with ppl of the opposite gender ( not that she’s less nervous with women but she feels more comfortable making eye contact with them )

Throughout their relationship, even when intimate moments like lying on the bed, facing each other when she looks down, she can’t help but feels embarrassed so she divert her attention elsewhere and when they caught her staring at them, she always looks away at a neck-breaking speed

Because of that it causes alot of problem in her life:

+ People will be more likely to remember your face.

+ People will be more likely to remember what you said long after the conversation has ended.

+ People are more likely to believe what you're saying.

+ People will perceive you as more confident and intelligent.

Sparda boys + V x Reader with eye contact anxiety headcannons

-Dante doesn't see how you can get anxious when looking other people in the eye because he has no problem doing it himself.

-He's quick to accept this, though, and does his best to do all the talking for you so you don't have to endure the awkwardness that is avoiding people's eyes.

-It's a real shame, though, he loves your eyes and thinks they're beautiful, but you won't ever look at him directly so he rarely sees them.

-Over time, you become more comfortable looking him in the eyes, and much to Dante's joy, he gets to look at you properly, and as always, he thinks you're beautiful.

-He notices you're more natural and relaxed with the girls, though, so he encourages you to hang out with them more in the hopes that'll give you more experience with making eye contact.

■ Vergil ■

-Vergil didn't realize you had eye contact anxiety until you told him. He genuinely thought you were just too intimidated by his shiny blue eyes to look at them.

-Once he learns about this, his drive to dish out MOTIVATION kicks in, and he starts training you to not be so nervous.

-How does he do this? Simple, by having you practice on him. Every day, you will have a staring contest and will continue with this practice until you win.

-He will handle most face-to-face confrontations for you, but encourages you to steel yourself and face people. If you get too uncomfortable, however, he won't hesitate to rescue you.

-Knowing you're more comfortable making eye contact with the girls means he can use them to continue training you. Though this is very manipulative of him, at least it works.

-Makes sure to remind you that how you hold yourself is how others perceive you. If you present yourself as a meek little thing who can't even make eye contact, people will think of you as such, so you must show confidence. Don't worry, he's no hypocrite, he'll be by your side, MOTIVATING you no matter what the situation.

-Nero is surprisingly accepting of your eye contact anxiety. You don't like looking people in the eyes? Then he won't look you in the eyes and won't force you to look at others, even in formal situations.

-He seriously told you to try painting your eyelids to look like open eyes the way Jack Sparrow did in Pirates of the Caribbean, so you could walk around with your eyed closed and fool people.

-If you do decide to do this, don't worry about how you'd move around, he would hold your hand and guide you.

-Beats up anyone who teases you or messes with you bscause of your anxiety.

-Encourages you to spend more time with the DMC girls since you seem more comfortable around them.

-All in all, he's gonna be there to support you no matter what, even going as far as to coddle you. He doesn't realize this may prevent you from pushing through and getting rid of your anxiety, but anything for his baby, right?

-You can only see one of V's eyes at any given time, so that makes your anxiety half as bad.

-He doesn't really make eye contact with anyone himself, his neck is usually hanging down like he's a hunchback or something, so you have very little to worry about.

-He does think you have the world's most beautiful eyes and he wishes you would let him see them more often.

-He respects your boundaries, however, and will not force you look at him or anyone else, and if someone should attempt to do so, they will find the end of a metal walking stick shoved up somewhere where the sun don't shine.

-Wants you to try your best to overcome your anxiety, and since you seem comfortable around the girls, he thinks it would be best to interact with them until you're ready to face the rest of the world.

-Still, he finds it rather cute when you immediately shift your focus to you feet when he turns to face you.

Many a pirate felt the calling of the sea in their very blood. They felt the sea salt air thicken as the waves crashed against their wooden vessels. The clear sky seared into their being.

Oh, it was the calm before the storm, they knew. Something was coming. For the Goddess of the Seas called her fish back, leaving the pirates blessed by her domain without their meals. It was her way to protect all those of the sea and send a message to thee. Only a fool would choose to ignore it, lest they wished for their death.

Their dreams filled with a young man, his face never clearly seen, but had the eyes not of a man but of the sea. Oh, blessed one of the seas.

“The Prince is coming,” the Goddess whispered in their dreams, to all those traveling on her waters. Her voice like the very tides. Ebbing and flowing in a soft crescendo. But in her voice held power, a power that spoke of a Goddess with many depths. A low symphony to her hidden trenches, deep and dangerous underneath the crystalline voice of her shallow shores.

Oh, Goddess of the Mirror World. Calypso, the Goddess of summer tides, the sea’s storm and might, the rescuer of the souls lost at sea, and the final judge of all those who dare journey her seas! Don’t mistake her for the daughter of Atlas, for she is more powerful than thee. She is this world’s Goddess of the Seas!

Dark eyes open. He swallows deeply, his voice but a whisper amongst the ship’s rocking waves, “The Prince is coming.”

Jack Sparrow, captain of the Black Pearl, looks to the horizon. Somehow, he knows he's in for something grand once again. He’ll survive this trial, this test, from the Goddess of the Seas. He knows he can.

For now, though, he’ll be drinking his weight in rum to forget the coming storm.

Jack was surrounded by the wenches of the faithful bride. All laughing and flirting with the handsome captain.

He leaned back against the chair with rum in hand; his smile showed his go

Jack spotted you heading outside. His lip twitched when you were leaving such a lively place.

Jack stood up from the chair as he said, "scuse' me darlins".

He strutted up to you outside. "Question, why would you rather be out here when you could be in a great place like in there?" Jack smiled at the door of the faithful bride.

You looked at Jack wearing a full gown skirted robe à la française gown with your hair in soft curls/ you wore a gentleman's coating, with your hair tied back in a bow/ you wore a pair of breeches with a blouse, you wore a tricorn hat.

You looked up at the stars, remembering the adventures you had with jack on the pearl.

Jack tried looking to where your eyes followed. "I do recall a certain adventure, one where I claimed a certain ship, my pearl."

You looked at Jack with a confused manner. "Captain sparrow, are you referring to--".

"When you saved me that day from the navy, aye, such a courageous thing you were, a lass/lad/person who fancied the same freedom i did," Jack complimented.

"Though, you nearly shot me." he placed a finger on his chin in a thinking expression. "Terrible with pistols but, a great swordsman/swordswoman/swordsperson, tell me, how does that work?".

You shrugged "I suppose I'm just odd Jack".

"The world's odd darlin', if the people in it aint odd we'd be borin' people stuck in a borin' world, odd people make the world an interestin' place don't-cha think, savvy?" Jack said wisely.

You had no idea sparrow could be so wise, half the time you couldn't tell if he was drunk or smart. He was choatic thats for sure.

You wrapped your arms around Jack and leaned into his grasp. His scent was of strong rum and sea water.

Jack taken back held his arms out to the sides as if he weren't expecting the hug. "What?, did I say somethin'" he questioned.

He gently held your back with one arm as the other held rum. He drunk the rum as you hugged him.

"Jack?" A voice called out. "Master Gibbs" Jack held his arm around your shoulder.

"We did it Jack, we won tha keg of rum" master Gibbs cheerfully spoke.

"Excellent, bring that keg on board master Gibbs and prepare to cast off" Jack ordered.

Elizabeth wore a golden robe a la francaise gown with her hair done in a bun with a single coil touching her shoulders.

You decided to quickly catch Elizabeth before she plotted to find Jack and Will.

"Elizabeth, Elizabeth!" You firmly said loudly.

"If your intention is to stop me then your wasting valuable time" Elizabeth responded with a feisty tone.

"Nay, not any of the sorts, I wish to bid you a final farewell" you replied. Elizabeth was in love with will you knew, but that still didn't stop your feelings for her.

"A farewell?" She questioned. "I have no intention of death being apart of my plan".

"No, for me, if Admiral Norrington catches me, I'll be hanging at the galley for helping with Sparrow's escape" you sadly implied.

"He won't, he can't, not even Will-" she tried to reassure you.

"Turner has made his leave, he won't be caught neither will Jack" you had to make the hard decision of leaving.

"Then come with me, you'll gain freedom im sure Captain Jack Sparrow will be reasonable and give you quarter on his ship" Elizabeth gently touched your hand.

"I would but you'll be tracked down along with Turner and Sparrow" you lightly grabbed her hand.

Elizabeth didn't want you to go, she loved you in many ways, even if it wasn't romantically.

You hugged her as a final farewell as she hugged you back.

"I promise to come back for you" Elizabeth gently spoke.

You kissed the top of her forehead before bolting. Elizabeth watched with a slightly sad full expression.

First kiss

Since you and Jack are so close he’d know you’ve never been kissed before it’s something that lingers in the back of his mind when he’s just led down thinking about stuff late at night

Actually the more he thinks about you and having never been kissed it makes him want to kiss you more he feels a way towards you he’s never felt before and the thought of being the first to kiss you makes him smile

Your first kiss would probably happen when Jack took you to a beach for a break just you and him for a little bit the sun was setting but he couldn’t help but only look at you and an intense urge to kiss you came over him and seeming over you too

Jack is very gentle, more gentle than you would expect especially because it’s your first kiss he’s usually on the rough side but this time he angles himself so he can hold you and ghosts his lips over yours just to make sure you’re completely fine

Magical feelings when two people kiss are usually cliche but your heart had never felt more happy Jack went gentle on you the first time but he’s definitely one for rough makeouts if you rile him up he won’t be hesitant in going in to capture your lips hard

General intimacy

Jack is far more affectionate than anyone would’ve guessed not necessarily romantic but he loves intimacy with you and he’d go as far to say he loves it the same as very intimate moments

First one is holding your hand he likes the feeling of still holding you in some way whilst out in public or around the crew it’s subtle, he also holds your hand when he can sense you’re nervous and rubs small circles onto your skin

Jack actually really likes baths with you not anything sexualised but just relaxing with you by his side and bonus comes out clean and feeling fresher it’s a nice thing between you two

Mess with his hair especially when he’s cuddling you or resting his head on your chest it makes him feel a lot better about whatever’s going on in fact sometimes he’ll lie down on you and refuse to get up until you comb through his hair usually it’s when he’s having a bad day

Cuddling is something Jack won’t admit to liking but actually really loves, curl up to his chest and he will never not wrap his arms around you he absentmindedly kisses your forehead or runs his fingers through your hair. He tangles your limbs together too that way he knows your safe in his arms

Jack is usually the big spoon when you cuddle or sleep but sometimes when things have really gone south he’ll slowly ease himself to become somewhat of a little spoon and fall asleep on your chest it’s his way of being venerable don’t reject him

Jack loves to take you to secluded parts of the world where you and him are alone in the company of one another you can both drink until the sun sets, dance, sing, vent anything you want since you’re together you make him all sorts of happy

When you laugh at his stupid jokes or sarcasm it makes him want to do it more, Jack will pretty much do anything to show off to you even if it means making a fool of himself

Lay in bed with him, Jack hates early mornings he’d rather just lay down and get a few extra hours sleep or just not leave the bed even if you try and leave he’ll grab you and wrap his arms and legs around you so you can’t leave or trail your neck with kisses which always works

• He won’t tell anyone he’s not feeling well because he doesn’t want to bother anyone

• Eventually people notice because he becomes unusually quite, withdrawn, and agitated

• Usually when he’s sick he has a high fever, he’s very tired and wants to sleep

• He’s strangely compliant when sick, he won’t argue about taking medicine or hydrating

• He’s also a big softie, saying thank you for everything anyone does for him, it’s heartbreakingly sweet how vulnerable he is

• He downplays how sick he feels, so if he admits to feeling bad he must feel really bad

• He doesn’t even want rum because his fever makes him nauseous
