Not the Personified Weapons

So like, in Magnus Chase and the gods of Asgard, all weapons, according to Jack, have internal monologues, or consciousness, or something, Right?

Does this mean that all the other demigods’ weapons have personalities and internal monologues?

And you know how some people have drawn Riptide and Jack as humans?

DOES THIS MEAN I CAN DRAW THE OTHER (specific) WEAPONS THE DEMIGODS HAVE AS PEOPLE TOO!!

Wait a minute how the fuck does the other weapons hang out with Jack?

Because the other weapons —as far as we know— can't move like Jack.

So that brings up three options.

A. The owner of the other weapon has to be the awkward third wheel on all weapon dates and meetings.

B. It's like Toy Story and the weapons just don't move when the owners are around.

C. Jack went crazy after being alone for so long and the weapons arent alive.

If it's B then i'm imagining Magnus coming out of Alex's room in the middle of the night to find Jack, Mallory's knives and TJ's bayonet sneaking out.

The biology and psychology of Jack/Sumarbrander is bizarre. If this were a comic book, I'd expect a supervillian to try and smelt and dissect him. Hell, I'd take a crossover between Magnus Chase and the old 60s and 70s Thor comics if meant learning what Jack's made of. Because I feel like there has to be a story worth telling there.

I mean, just think about it. Swords don't normally talk or think. For an inanimate object to be capable of that…well, someone must've done something to it. Either this is a dark ritual where a soul was forcibly bound to the sword, or this is a more benign ritual where the sword was imbued with sentience as it was created. Either way, being a sword sounds horrible. Imagine it. Unable to eat, drink, even display physical affection towards another. It must suck to be a sword. And I kind of want a story exploring that.

ok so here's a random thing about mcga. portuguese is a gendered language and the word "sword" is female, but jack the sword is male. so when the characters talk about jack they either use she/her or he/him depending on the context. so ig the sword uses he/she in portuguese? have we created a queer sword exclusive to some gendered languages??

One day Jack and Hearth will become less petty and at one point Magnus walks into a room and finds that the sword and elf are communicating in morse code with Jack glowing and Hearth tapping

I need you guys to understand that Jack is just a young sword, likely teenaged or in his early 20s, who was left traumatized by being abandoned by his father when he was a child and as such decided to spite him by only letting his descendants wield him. He also only speaks around those he trusts. It's not even a "Hey I don't trust this person I'ma shut up now until they're gone" its a "Hey this guy? Yeah, the one holding me? I trust him. I will never shut up now. If you try to take him from me I will kill everyone around you, and then chip you into a fine paste and turn your brains to mead." And he just doesn't shut up. Even if he's around people he doesn't trust, as long as he is with Magnus he will not shut up.
