A joke that would have been funnier if I made it in 2020 - back when we got our first glimpses of these characters. I’ve actually made my peace with Jack Carter’s design since then, it’s funny. 

I sketched this out right after the Wendy update, and then proceeded to procrastinate and fuss around with it for five years. I became lost in clip studio’s panel organizing system because I decided this was a good time to try making a “real” comic. kids, don’t be like me. You don’t need real gutters on your comic pages, you can just draw boxes and call it a day.

I’ll cut myself some slack, cause guess what else happened in 2020? Anyone remember? Yeah? A lot of stuff got waylaid.

I’m still proud of the facial expressions

plus I can draw my favs being all cutesy and that’s never a bad thing

anyway, it’s finally done. Happy Valentine’s Day!

i like the idea that these two were always destined to find their ways to the Constant and rule for Them, one way or another. the original idea was to draw them as babies surrounded and cradled by shadows but i can barely draw kids LOL
