Mammon and Adam visit the Carnival of Venice! Design notes below the cut.

Mammon

Mammon is a Harlequin, and the mask he's wearing is a Harlequin mask.

His mask is modified to be more spider-like, with extra eyes and a set of golden chelicerae.

The things atop his mask are modified to look like dollar bills and curved to look like spider legs.

He's carrying a marotte.

His outfit is meant to look like it has a face on the center of it.

His cape is meant to look like spider legs atop a spiderweb.

He's either wearing emerald rings or watermelon ring pops.

Adam

I'm not sure if the thing he's modelled after has a specific name, but if you google "Carnival of Venice man" you'll see lots of men in coats like this! However, I modified it to be long enough to resemble clergyman robes.

Instead of his typical helmet, he's wearing a jester's cap that's been modified to look like it has a golden halo.

Feathers are a staple of Venetian Carnival fashion, so it's no stretch for him to have extra wing accessories made of them. I was inspired by costumes like this one.

His mask is made of paper mache, not LEDs.

He has a pin in the shape of his emblem attached to his jabot.

I only included it as a side option but I thought it'd be cool if he had an optional extra yellow visor on his mask because it makes it look like he has the Eye of Providence on his face.

Mettre de la mousseline entre la doublure et l’étoffe pour rendre les godets plus fermes. Coudre le corsage, le surfiler et le baleiner; pour cette opération poser le ruban de baleine du dos sur une longueur de 15 centimètres au-dessus du cran de la taille, le ruban de la couture suivante devra avoir une hauteur de 16 centimètres et celui du premier petit côté de 17 centimètres: ces rubans doivent tous descendre à 3 centimètres au-dessous du cran de la taille. Ne pas oublier de soutenir fortement le ruban pour que la baleine soit bien cambrée a la taille. Placer le ruban de taille qui doit se trouver à 1 centimètre au-dessus du cran du dos, les baleines ne doivent dépasser la taille que de 3 cent.

Arrondir les basques sur la personne, chaussonner, repasser et mettre un faux ourlet Poser le revers (no. 6). Le pointillé du revers doit se placer au bord du devant no. 1 et finir très mince à la taille.

Les petits devants formant jabot s’enlèvent à volonté et peuvent être faits en dentelle, lingerie ou toute autre fantaisie.

Godet jacket bodice, embroidered ivory satin lapel, lace middle forming a jabot, small collar and draped belt similar to the lapels.

Place the 6 pattern pieces on the fabric as shown in the sketch above, the notches at the waistline being in the straight grain of the fabric. The front no. 7 indicated in dotted line should only be cut as a lining, it will be hidden by the lace frill and the front no. 1. Pieces 2, 3 and 4 must be basted with the lining after front no. 7. Try on the bodice thus constructed, correct the fitting, then adjust piece no. 1. The notches of part nos. 1 and 7 must relate exactly to the shoulder and waist. The front dart should be as hollow as the person is stronger in the chest. Place muslin between the lining and the fabric to make the cups firmer. Sew the bodice, overcast and boning it; for this operation place the whalebone ribbon on the back over a length of 15 centimeters above the waist notch, the ribbon of the next seam must have a height of 16 centimeters and that of the first short side of 17 centimeters: these ribbons must all go down to 3 centimeters below the waist notch. Round the peplums on the person, slip on, iron and put on a false hem. Place the reverse (no. 6). The dotted line on the reverse must be placed at the edge of front no. 1 and finish very thin at the waist.

The small fronts forming a jabot can be removed at will and can be made of lace, lingerie or any other fantasy.

Elliott Scottish Festival Regalia mod is now up and ready to play!

This mod changes Elliott’s festival sprites to incorporate traditional Scottish regalia for 4 of 8 festivals. (Flower Dance, Moonlight Jellies, Stardew Valley Fair, and Feast of the Winter Star.)

Elliott’s festival regalia includes: - Prince Charlie jacket and waistcoat (depending on the festival) - Collared shirt, jabot, and pin (or Jacobite Ghille Shirt) - Dress sporran and sporran strap (frontal pouch made of seal skin), - Sgian-dubh (small knife kept in the sock) - Kilt hose and flashes (socks and sock tassels) - Kilt (+ pin), - Brogues (lace-up shoes), and - Fly plaid (a long strip of plaid matching the kilt pattern, worn over the shoulder and fastened with a brooch)(depending on festival). After marriage, Elliott will wear various Tartan-patterned pyjamas around the farm and farmhouse from 6 AM to 7:30 AM and from 8:30 PM to 2:00 AM. He will change out of his pyjamas if he leaves the farm or if the farmer leaves the map and comes back after 7:30 AM.

Scottish Tartan patterns are open to anyone regardless of their family, clan, or registry origin, but I wanted to pick patterns that would mean something personal and significant to Elliott as a character.

I only have a few, but I'll TMI my fav brooches.

One's a red round thingy with a golden frame, two feathers coming out of it, and a red little bow underneath all that. Meant for jabots but also the jabot it was assorted with broke. But can it really rival with THOSE FEW GOLDEN ONES I INHERITED FROM FAMILY ? I doubt it.,, One is a little golden rose pin (you can slide right on rather than pierce the clothing with).

Clotted Cream

5:27 PM (17:27)

The crisp sea breeze wafted in through the tall windows. The House Custard Estate was one of the more inland buildings of the Upper City, but the reach of the sea over a coastal nation was a far one. Nonetheless, it blended with the cool night air as the fiery sun dipped its toes into the cool water below, a gentle reminder that Clotted Cream had better get dressed soon. You see, today just so happened to be the anniversary of establishment of the Grand Cream Musical Association, an organization established by Sable Cookie herself. So, of course, she had invited some of the Republic’s elite to a grand ball. So, here Clotted was, pulling out his more ornate suits for the occasion. Gold embroidery of blossoming flowers and delicately curling leaves bordered the edges of his overcoat, with silky fabric in his favorite shade of light, minty green. He pulled up his matching pants over his socks. Clotted tied on his lacy jabot, and pinned a small emerald brooch onto the center, shining the same shade as his eyes in the soft light of the setting sun. He fixed its position as he looked into the mirror, hands just a little shaky and palms sweating a bit under his crisp white gloves. Yet, despite the summer heat, there was a different reason as to why Clotted felt a little sweatier than usual.

You see, it had been around three months since he had hired a new advisor onto his political board: the charming and cunning Affogato. Perhaps hiring him was a bad decision, seeing Affogato’s history of manipulating people to get his way and allying himself with rather villainous groups. “But those days are behind me now,” he’d said that day when he showed up looking for a job, “I’m a changed man.” But even aside from his treasonous past and suspicious present, there was one other reason the Consul felt a little strange around his advisor. Affogato had made a point to get to know his employer better, often having little conversations with him over some kind of food or drink. And they did get to know each other better, but now Clotted had a new problem on his hands— his respect for the advisor’s intelligence and charm slowly evolving into something resembling a crush. Look at you, Clotted thought, Blushing in the mirror like a schoolboy. This is humiliating. And of course you had to go and fall for… him… instead of some nice noblewoman you won’t be completely shunned for liking. Nonetheless, Clotted rather uncharacteristically had let his emotions get the better of him. And now he’s combing his hair, trying to mentally stabilize himself for a night that he could only hope didn’t end in shambles.

Affogato

5:39 PM (17:39)

He had no idea that Clotted was into men. Specifically him. Maybe he wasn’t into him, and just wanted to invite his friend/work associate to this fancy ball because he had no “special someone”. It would be much easier to invite Financier, considering he knew that she and Clotted were close. She was his literal bodyguard, after all. Either way, Affogato was ecstatic. About a week ago, he had been asked by the Consul to personally accompany him to Sable Cookie’s ball. This brought two excitingly convenient opportunities for Affogato: the opportunity to obtain information on the Republic’s political elite, and to enjoy a night of dancing, sweets, and all other things he missed out on due to being born and raised in the Dark Cacao Kingdom. Finding information about the Elders was a specifically important task for Affogato, being the main reason Dark Enchantress sent him here in the first place. He was rather amused by the Council of Elders’ gullibility, having completely fallen for one of Affogato’s trademark ruses. But he could worry about picking up information when he was actually at the ball. It didn’t start until 6:30, so he, thankfully, had plenty of time to prepare.

He slipped himself into a slim yet full-looking gown with a neckline encrusted with small jewels, tulle layers fading from deep violets to soft lavenders like a waterfall. It wouldn’t be exaggeration to say he felt like a princess in it— all the more ironic, considering that he intends to conquer this land as a king by the time this whole affair ends. But he couldn’t get too excited about this. He had a job to do, and had been instructed to report back to Pomegranate at the end of the month. And judging by her reaction at last month’s little regrouping, he was going to have to really find something out. Luckily, all of the elders— except for that pain-in-the-arse Clotted called a father, thank god— would be there. Perfect. He sat himself down on the chair in front of his small vanity, pulling out an eyeshadow palette of various violet hues, striking blacks, and glittery silvers. I think by now you could definitely tell what Affogato’s favorite color is. But he had to make a good impression, so he had to look good, especially if he was going to be accompanying such an influential and charismatic figure tonight. And, speak of the devil, but soon the advisor heard a knock on his door.

“Who is it?,” Affogato called.

“It’s me, Clotted.”

“Come in.”

As he reached into his mess of a drawer for his new lipstick, the door opened and Clotted walked in, only to stop in his tracks for a split second. Affogato turned to him, a confused expression on his face. “What?”

Oh great divines, if Clotted didn’t think Affogato looked good already. The long, slightly slim, violet gown Affogato had chosen for the occasion had no right to look that good on him. The sheer sight of the way his hair cascaded down his shoulders, rich espresso brown flowing into creamy white like clouds against the night sky could have given the consul a heart attack. It was almost like Affogato was glowing. He kept his composure though, or at least tried to, instead opting to awkwardly clear his throat. “Nothing, I was just wondering if you were ready to go yet. The coach will be here shortly, and it takes a while to get to the Sable estate, you know.” Affogato chuckled. “You worry too much, consul,” he said, “I’m sure we’ll be fine. After all, isn’t it rather on-brand for a man as exquisite as yourself to be a little fashionably late?” Affogato would never admit it, but he’d been looking Clotted up and down in the reflection of the mirror. And damnation, did he look nice in that suit. Maybe the advisor could flatter his way into getting more information. Clotted couldn’t help but flush a little at the compliment, a shade of pastel pink lightly dusting his cheeks. “Thank you, Affogato. I’ll be waiting downstairs if you need anything.” The consul turned to head out the door, only for Affogato to call out, “Wait.” Clotted paused. Affogato turned to Clotted and asked him, “Could you help me with the back of my dress please?” “Sure.” Clotted strode over to where Affogato was now standing, having moved his hair out of the way. Clotted grabbed the hook-and-eye fasteners at the back of the dress, gently snapping them into place while trying to be subtle about feeling Affogato’s smooth skin. He’s so soft, the consul thought to himself. Once he was done, he stepped away and Affogato thanked him. He did a little twirl, letting the tulle of his dress swish and flow around his body. The advisor smiled a little. Clotted smiled at seeing Affogato’s smile. “I still have to finish up my makeup, so I’llll be up here for a bit,” Affogato chirped. “Well,” Clotted said, letting a little idea form in his head. He took Affogato’s hand in his own, holding it up to his lips and planting a soft kiss on the back of his hand. ‘I’ll see you then.” It was Affogato’s turn to blush now.

TOT anyways I’m prolly gonna do a drawing for today (and probably yesterday T^T) I tried to combine the prompts for days 4 and 5 on this one, but I wasn’t able to get to the ACTUAL ball part because I wrote this at way too late in the night and I needed to sleep. Anyways tomorrow’s another ficccc! <3 imma try to have 5 and 6’s drawings out today tho. Selfshiptober Day 14: date / vampire

Tonight was a different kind of night. Aza was invited to a party by someone he met at work a few days ago.

Not much was mentioned other than the location, and that it was "Vampire themed."

Seeing how Phoenix seemed to enjoy their last Halloween themed date, he thought that it might be a good idea to come to the party as a throuple, making this a surprise date for both partners.

And here they were now, outside of the building at the location previously given to him.

Aza stood in between of their partners. Dressed in a black long sleeved blouse, red vest and black lacey jabot.

Phoenix, standing to their left, was in a recently bought outfit just for this occasion.

A black dress shirt with sleeves that puffed out near the wrists, high waisted black slacks, a waist corset, and some silver jewelry hanging loosely around their neck.

Thimble, standing to Aza's right, was wearing a black outfit that verged to a more punk-like style. The tips of a pair of faux vampire fangs could be shown sticking out over their bottom lip.

Holding each of his partners' hands, Aza led the 2 of them through the door, after double checking the address displayed on his phone.

It seemed like a pretty basic home. Nothing out of the ordinary. But once they were inside.....

Immediately the soft sounds of music could be heard from a separate room nearby. Dim ambient lighting shone throughout the interior of the house. Decor that had a mix of a Victorian goth and generic vampire vibe was displayed through the home.

A few people could be seen walking in between the rooms. Some in elaborate goth-like dresses, some wearing outfits with fake blood dotting their shirts.

The throuple managed to find their way to a living room, seemingly having had furniture moved around just for the event. A big table sat in the middle of the room with food and drinks.

Cups of red punch with fake (gummy?) fangs floating on top. Dark red rose shaped frosted cupcakes, filled with jam. Red velvet cheesecake. Even what looked to be a black colored fudge in a pan.

Basically anything that could be black and/or red, was there. It seemed to be the host's attempt to match the house's dark decor.

The throuple spent the next few minutes trying food and drinks, making small talk with other party goers, and walking around the house.

In one room, there were some games. Much of them seeming to have been bought for cheap, judging by the quality, but in a nostalgic kind of way. For example, Phoenix would later mention how it made them remember of some of the party games they played with some of their friends from their childhood.

The throuple would end up playing a few of these games. Taking pleasure in the small vampire themed prizes.

Random pins that had sayings or jokes related to vampires on them, fake vampire fangs, and more. All displayed in small coffin shaped boxes.

The little details delighted Phoenix in a way. They ended up making it a personal game, to see what kind of little vampire inspired details they could find throughout the rest of the night.

Making their way back to the living room, seemingly being the place where the music was coming from, and danced. A bit awkward to be honest, as there wasn't much room to properly dance. It did make the throuple chuckle a bit though.

It was a bit awkward, but fun nonetheless.

At some point during the night, Phoenix would pull Aza aside. Kissing them before thanking them for the fun night.

It seemed to relax Aza a bit. He originally wasn't sure how his partners felt about tonight. But seeing Phoenix's reaction in that moment? It seemed to melt away any worry he may have once had.

The throuple would spend the remainder of the night indulging themselves in more food and drinks, trying to win each other prizes from some of the games, and watching other party goers, pointing out to each other what piece of people's outfits they liked the most.

It seemed to be..... Maybe a bit more low-key or a bit more casual than some other dates or parties they went to together. But the throuple had fun nonetheless.

It was a nice change of pace from their otherwise busy days. Why would they ask for anything different?

They were also all together. And that's all that ever mattered.

 RAMBLING UNDER CUT CAUSE IT GETS LONG LOL:

Hands yall the pencil sketch I did of James first, would probably inked it but I’m still proud of it (Shane and Rusty I did on the same page so they’re smushed together and it’s messy ahah)

James gave me the most difficulty cause I knew I wanted to be make him Latino(Filipino/Spaniard to be exact) so I searched up bull fighting clothing and I gave him the gilet-vest underneath his big coat of his cause he’s copying Gordon (to the point of absolutely antagonizing, blaming and arguing with Alfred for everything he has done though to be fair he did traumatize Thomas kidnap his sister figure Nia and almost broke Gordon but like the Rusty scenario that’s another can of worms to get to later) but also cause I’m on the whole him idolizing and copying him around bandwagon so things like similar coat patterns, his keychains, jabot/cravat,epaulettes,beret-like hat etc) and of course I had to make him eye-catching like he wasn’t you attention so lot of gold accents and of course roses (get it cause with his surname) with him having one on his coat and on his cuff pins and rings 🌹 for symbolism 

Rusty was actually the easiest cause I already had a design for them cause I already wanted them to wear a tool belt and hardhat for their job , overalls and the protection knee pads I actually got from glowynviator on Twitter, same goes with having those (forgive I don’t know exactly what to call them) circles that appear to release smoke from their radiator as little silver buttons on their collars and pockets for their jackets and I changed the color scheme to for both the tv and rws versions. They’re pretty much unwillingly involved with the supernatural shenanigans (though then again a lot of folks are here but considering when they first got here, they legit witnessed their coworker get nearly crushed to death, the treatment of Duncan, the Sudrian verison of Bigfoot, a possible immortal fallen king 👑 fogman and of course the Boulder, they can’t seem catch a break)

Shane Dooiney I was completely inspired by gloynviator by Twitter humanizations of the Culdee Fell Railway (seriously y’all go check them out they’re awesome 🤩 and amazing and just incredible 💕💞) but with some minor changes like more detective-esque, think Looker from Pokemon or Inspector Gadget/Zenigata cause I love them so much but also a chunk of their personality is from Crona cause I love the hairstyle . Their personality I based it off of The Trainz Adventures, he’s said to be shy cause of people constantly mock their name which leads to him keeping to himself but ain’t afraid to help others, LeatherBootlace and StarSearch1927 on Deviantart (where he feels out of place for being away for so long, suffers from Middle Child syndrome/the Black Sheep of the Railwa due to being away fro overhauled a majority of the time during important events of the series so they feel out of the loop, the latter being the main inspiration for the ““private investigator” persona they have since he has a eagle eye for everything and thinks of crime solving and a love for mysteries while former used he/they pronouns for Shane and we need more he/thems here ✨) of course the top hat 🎩 is their funnel.
