Fellow Honest's "Groovy" card illustration references a few scenes from Disney's Pinocchio:
Honest John's first attempt to trick Pinocchio, where he takes Pinocchio's book and pretends to read it to impress him, ultimately to convince him not to go to school.
Honest John's second attempt to trick Pinocchio, where he dons a pair of glasses to pretend to be a doctor to "diagnose" Pinocchio.
Gideon writing down Honest John's "diagnosis" (in reality, just scribbling lines on the notepad).
This is seemingly reinterpreted in this illustration as Fellow Honest attempting to teach Gidel the alphabet, but he appears to be struggling with it himself. In the film Honest John is shown to be illiterate (he's also incapable of spelling Pinocchio's name) and this is potentially true of Fellow Honest as well, as his insecurity about never being able to attend school is an important plot point in the "Stage in Playful Land" event.

What exactly did Honest John scream through the top of his hat in the 1983 Japanese dub of 'Pinocchio'?

Y'all as a Pinocchio enthusiast...I'm actually a little mad about Fellow Honests new name, let me tell you why,
Fellow Honest is based on Honest John, obviously this is where we get the "Honest" part of the name,
BUT his real name (though I cannot find a source as to when it was first used) is J. Worthington Foulfellow. And that, my dear folks, is where we get the Fellow part of Fellow Honest.
...but where in God's name did Ernesto come from?
I think it comes from them trying to "English-ize" his name, Ferō Onesuto, On-esu-to, Ernesto...though it's kinda a dumb idea on their behalf.
Ok it's a really dumb idea.
Foulworth is of course a combination of Worthington Foulfellow.
What what about Gidel? Whats with his new name of Gino?
I have no idea I think they just wanted to make him sound more Italian.

WHY WOULD THEY DO THAT that's like taking Kalim Al-Asim and changing his name to jafar Bombtower
it's so fucking shit
(also please don't unleash the horrors on me I'm an Arab, please don't take away my bomb jokes privilege)
Well my friend, it's not exactly like you're wrong.
What I don't understand is why they needed to change it in the first place but I do have some guesses?
Apparently, Honest John's "real name" is J. Worthington Foulfellow, so Ernesto Foulworth does make sense for his name but ah. I had to Google that because I sure as shit don't remember that being his name. Fellow Honest sounded stupid sure, but it was a fun name. The translators probably assumed that it would make scentance structure awkward and changed it to try and avoid a "whose on first" situation but... I'll be honest I really don't care. Gidel could have been changed because someone thought it sounded too much like "gelding" which is a term for a castrated horse but Gino???? GINO???
I bring that up because when names get changed by a big company like Disney, there are typically one of two main reasons. 1) It is too close to something that could be considered offensive and therfore tarnish the brand (even if the reasoning is silly) or 2) it has something to do with copyright. In this case, I've offered the third reason of making dialog easier to understand, but it also could be that some translator wanted to flex their obscure Disney knowledge by giving Honest John his real name back.
What was tripping me up was where the fuck they got Ernesto from... but there's a character in Coco named that? So perhaps whoever named him was thinking of that? Whatever the reason the name just sounds stupid and I'm not going to be using it. There was no good reason to change it ffs
