Honestly, I just do not buy Lucius/Izzy as a thing that would ever happen. And I know I’m biased because I don’t like Izzy, but even aside from that, I just don’t see them as compatible. I think Lucius took one look at Izzy’s whole deal and was like, hard pass, that sounds like way too much fucking effort.

Because, look, we all pretty much agree Izzy’s a sub, right? But specifically as a sub he doesn’t want to hand control over to a dom, he wants to lose a power struggle and have the dom forcibly take control from him. Plus he has some masochistic tendencies, though whether that’s a straightforward pain kink or him equating violence with displays of dominance, I don’t know. Regardless, that’s what Izzy is into and what he wants from basically every sexual encounter, and you know what, good for him. I don’t like the way that is pursuit of those things frequently disregards the issue of consent, but that would be true no matter what he was into. I sincerely wish for him to learn some safe BDSM practices and then go on living his best kink life (preferably, imo, somewhere far away from me and the entire Revenge crew).

Now, we can tell from episode 5 that Lucius could dom Izzy the way Izzy wants if he put his mind to it. I am in fact fully convinced Lucius could absolutely blow Izzy’s mind and give him the best sex of his entire life. But god, does that sound like a lot of work to him. Just because he enjoyed besting Izzy in their little power struggle in that episode, that doesn’t mean he wouldn’t have preferred not to have been dragged into it in the first place. It certainly doesn’t mean he got any sexual enjoyment out of it, or if he did that it was directed at Izzy. I do think Lucius enjoys domming, but for someone like Pete, who will eagerly hand control over to him rather than making him fight for it. Plus Lucius likes to do a lot of other things during sex too. He’s got a wide variety of kinks he enjoys playing with at various times, and he’s always up to try out new ones. Though his absolute favorite, when he can find someone willing to indulge him which Pete once again for sure is down for, is just lying back and being a pillow princess. And I just can’t see Izzy being willing to do any of that.
