Thinking about visual symbolism where Tomura gets OFA and the embers/fire visual that is usually shown with the users, which is usually something comforting or warm, instead with Tomura it's shown as a sort of wildfire. It's the culmination of the vestiges powers and strong will's becoming one with a 10th user added to it, but Tomura's strong will too. A villain holding this powerful quirk would be expected to use it for evil but he stands opposing his mentor, the man who manipulated his entire life, and it blazes in his soul with his rising hatred against him

trying to casually explain katsuki’s devotion to izuku is impossible because why does it go from helping him train to RISKING HIS LIFE FOR HIM in a split second

I've been thinking about dadmight recently, because what else am I supposed to do with my life, and I think it's so interesting to try to dissect all mights parenting style

he's a ' tough love ' guy sometimes

but sometimes he's like really really kind & gentle too ! a lot of what he says doesn't always match the energy of what he does as well, like when he gave midoriya the hug on the beach while scolding him for being reckless ( and also praising him for not getting hurt) (and also calling him a crybaby again

its so interesting and it makes him kinda annoying to write because one minute he's giving a lecture and then the next minute he's crying and giving his son a hug while talking about how proud of him he is. augh

and he doesn't do physical contact that much but sometimes he does and its usually smaller things, like how he's holding midoriya's hands in that picture (or like when he gives the students pats on their heads) but sometimes he's very much giving midoriya the biggest hug ever .

(does anyone know how much this scene is important to me btw? its very important look around how gently he's holding his son)

also all might's really good at knowing whats best for midoriya but whats best for him sometimes is like. nearly getting killed in a training exercise lmao. but he was right, midoriya needed that moment for his development, it was so important for him to actually be able to stand up to bakugou for the first time probably ever !

either way, all might cares so muchhh about midoriya and it's shown sometimes through big things like the stuff I mentioned before but also little things like

giving him a water bottle

inviting midoriya to i-island with him ! personally !

talking to him after the stain incident because he was worried midoriya would be worried (I couldnt find an uncropped version of that picture so that ones gotta do)

checking up on him after the run in with shigaraki

bringing him food

and so many other things!! all might cares about midoriya so much and he shows it in so many different ways, and a lot of it coming out through thoughtful gestures ...

I have thoughts!

I doubt Izuku went eight years being Quirkless.

For one thing, after the Final War, he still had two years of high school left. I doubt all that time he used One For All continously when he have to focus on schoolwork and had more time to actually wind down since the major villains of the story have been dealt with. So there would be times he wouldn't have to use OFA like that.

Last chapter, we can see he still has OFA.

I would say it would be more recently that he lost OFA.

Note that here, Izuku says "recent times". This is just happening now that his class has reached their goals of what they wanted to accomplished. From Ochako and the others creating a program to help people to Mezo getting an award.

I figure this can interpreted as Aizawa asking about his Quirk and being a Hero on the field or just his time in school when everything was happening.

Why some of the fandom took this as abandonment is beyond me. "We started working..."

Folks, Class A would be 24 - 25 years old... they would have just started to be Pro Heroes probably three years or later if you consider their "college years" would be the time they would be sidekicks and working to having their own agencies. Probably some of then even living together to save money and whatnot.

A teacher is fitting for Izuku as he is still encouraging others and it reflects even how All Might, his mentor, was one. He knows he'll be Quirkless again, a job as a teacher is ideal for him.

You need a bachelor's degree to be a teacher, which takes four years. So from probably age 18 to 22, Izuku worked for that degree to be a teacher. Meaning that time, he necessarily didn't have to use OFA, if he still had it. And he could have also been doing the sidekick thing on the side.

Present Mic is an example of a character who has multiple occupations, so I don't doubt that Izuku couldn't have done sidekick work and studies at the same time.

Therefore, he would have been a teacher for 3 years at the moment at this point.

Now, given that a school like UA exists, where they taught Heroics, business, engineering, etc. There could have been colleges like that. So class A could have went to the same college and still hung out, including Izuku.

Point is what I'm saying is, because of what Izuku's schedule may have looked like, I doubt he lost the embers of OFA that fast. Yes, he most definitely lost them, but like overnight? Yeah, no.

And him being abandoned? Some of you took a hold of the steering wheel and whipped it way too hard to the left. They definitely still talked. They just got busy with their jobs and hectic schedules.

It makes me laugh whenever artists draw Deku as the twink and Rody as the muscular one.

Like I'm sorry, Rody is SCRAWNY.

He arguably has the least muscle definition out of any character in mha.

And I'd like to think that this is because Rody doesn't eat a lot due to, you know, being broke, but still wanting his siblings to have enough food. So he ends up either giving his little siblings the bigger portions of whatever food they get or just not eating at all.

And while he may not have a lot going for him strength wise, him being lighter means he's fast as fuck and I think that's why the chase scene with him and Deku made so much sense.

Deku's obviously well built because of all his training, literally just look at him.

But yeah, I imagine that once Rody actually has a stable job and steady income he never really loses the habit of not eating a lot, so Deku ends up having to remind him.

There's nothing more hateful and toxic than apologizing for your very shitty past actions: catching him in the rain, despite absolutely HATING the rain, ignoring his own health for him, having his last words before he DIES be about Izuku, FIGHT to get to see izuku in the hospital when he's ALSO in a shitty state, thinking about Izuku 99% of the time—like always. It’s always “head empty, only river scene/Izuku,” sobbing because Izuku lost his quirk, which means he can’t be a hero. Wanting to "spend their entire lives competing together", keeping his hero ranks low on purpose just so that when Izuku becomes a hero again, they can compete for the number one spot. Dedicating EIGHT years of his life to earn well and probably live in a pretty crappy state because of that just so he makes SURE he gets the right tech and support course items to create the perfect suit for Izuku. Even if Izuku gave up on his dream, Katsuki didn't. Isn't that absolutely hateful and toxic!!!!!! Bakudeku is only toxic in season ONE AND TWO!!!!! Katsuki HAD character development wheather you like him or not!!!!

Lastly, this might mean nothing but they eventually seem to be lonely in the end, even if they won't admit it. Well as we know this changes for izuku who went back to being a hero with the help of technology.

Honestly, I don't care if Horikoshi ever reveals his Hsashi, for me it will always make sense that Afo is izuku’s father!!!

Izuku is training with Katsuki, trying to use blackwhip to capture Katsuki, while Katsuki is trying to get to Izuku.

Izuku is about to capture Katsuki, but that's when the memory of Katsuki getting impaled by Shigaraki/AFO suddenly comes into his mind.

The reason this memory hits Izuku is bc in a way, blackwhip looks like the quirk Shigaraki/AFO used to HURT Katsuki.

This causes Izuku to freeze up

Katsuki INSTANTLY notices something going on with Izuku.

Katsuki asks Izuku what is distracting him, while quickly closing in on him.

Because Izuku is no longer focusing, Katsuki is able to land an explosion on Izuku.

Katsuki tells Izuku that he needs to "cut that sentimental shit out" 💀 but here's why

Even though Katsuki said this, he doesn't have an aggressive tone while saying it. He then proceeds to tell Izuku that he won't be able to beat Shigaraki & AFO in the upcoming inevitable war if he is like this.

He's not meaning it in a mean way, though.

He's telling Izuku this bc he cares abt him. He doesn't want to see him hurt, just like how Izuku doesn't want to see HIM hurt. It's Katsuki's way of protecting him. His way of making sure he takes care of himself.
