I’m unwell at how underrated Izuku and Kota are as a father/son duo.

It would’ve been extremely funny and cute if Izuku was dead set on becoming a teen dad during the training camp arc.

He’d be an absolute beast during training.

Everyone thinks he’s just reliving some intense, motivational flashback, but the whole time he’s talking to himself. ‘I promised Kota I’ll take him to the park! And window shop for toys!’

The users are SO tired.

Finally, on one night, Izuku announces he’ll be off for a bit. It’s 11 PM, which adds extra suspicion for Bakugou. That guy’s terrified of the dark.

“Midoriya.”

Iida’s hands are really big; They’re warm, calloused like all of their hands, but incredibly soft when they squish Izuku’s cheeks. And Izuku smiles up. He soaks up affection like a sponge.

They all ignore Bakugou’s angry lip smack in the background.

“Are you,” Iida speaks like it pains him to say the next words. “Doing drugs?!”

“WHAT.”

The class WOULD be concerned, but they’re a bit too busy laughing their ass off. Except for Bakugou, who’s entirely serious. “What is it, huh, nerd?! Heroin?! Coke?! Meth?!”

“Math?! Why would math be a considered a drug?!“

A laugh tickles Todoroki’s lips. “He’s definitely not doing drugs.”

It feels appropriate to yell in this situation, so that’s exactly what he does. “No! I’d never do something so irresponsible!“

Ochako laughs in relief when Iida practically faints, patting his back. “OH THANK GOD!“ Not that he was ready to auction off his parents’ suits and enroll Izuku into rehab. Not at all.

“I’m just going to the orphanage so I can spend some time with Kota before I adopt him at the end of the trip!”

Okay. Now the class can properly freak out.

you caught me at a good time. im just getting ready to go to the hospital lmao when i saw this. awe, thank you very much!!!!!! i cant believe it been that long but i appreciate all your support :DDDDD. i love, love stepdad au so much and it's unfortunate i dont talk about it enough. i talk more about kasumi tho but i think kasumi gets a lot of attention bc she's the STAR of her series and she's ya know kasumi her personality is like electrifying while in the stepdad au it's the numbers and each kid take turn to shine and share the story. but what i like best about stepdad au is that it's a story of family and siblings. i think i dont write it as often because it's very hard to juggle like FOUR diff kids' voice in a scene and each vying for time and attention so when im writing them i have to constantly know what each kid is doing and what they would say and react... a bit difficult but overall interesting once everything come together because, god i hope, that they come off truly as siblings who rip into each other but would tear the world down for each other.

yoo! what are your favourite + least favourite tropes in fandom, especially with bnha? or like, favourite/least favourite fanon interpretations? -aizawasgays

Okay favorite trope or interpretation in bnha. You KNOW trans Aizawa is like. The Big One, of course. Outside of that...hm. I tend to really like the trope of Izuku having trust issues with adults and his peers that he works through. That one makes some VERY good fics. Other tropes along that same vein are the trope where Izuku accidentally spills about his experiences pre UA, or the trope where Aizawa finds out about OFA. I will read an endless number of fics all based on those premises.

Least favorite...hmm. Annoying Yamada is one I’ve mentioned before that isn’t really for me.

I prefer twisting the dead Inko trope to something else—however, that doesn’t mean I don’t like it in stories where it fits! It’s simply not one that I’ll go out of my way to find, so it ranks lower on the list for me.

Oof here’s one that’s just a personal thing for me, I don’t have anything against this, I just don’t personally vibe with it—traitor Yamada. I can absolutely see the narrative potential, and the drama and angst, and ALL of that. For some reason, it just doesn’t work for me. I don’t hate it or think people shouldn’t write it! I just know I’m not a good fit for those stories.

One that I do think people (or at least cis people) need to stop writing is one we’ve talked about before, the trope where a cis character finds out a trans masc character is binding with ace bandages and educates them on why that’s bad and buys them a binder or helps them bind safely. You know I could complain about that one for HOURS if I’m allowed. That and the trope where a trans masc character is pretty much only written as trans so a m/m couple can have a baby. I’m disgruntled but will ignore it if trans masc people are the ones writing the story, so long as it’s properly tagged. But my god am I tired of cis people writing it.

here’s wut u missed on Glee: garbagefire trashdad (todoroki “endeavor” enji) disowns his son bc trashdad’s pp is small (spiritually) and this leads to the son (lovely thermostat child, todoroki shouto) having a small (only abt 17 sq ft) meltdown, in which broccoli boi intervenes, gets Cwispy, and then their friends grab a trusted adult (aizawa), who de-escalates the situation. 

aight but fr fr, in english, Enji disowns Shouto, Izuku comforts him through a panic attack, and then Aizawa takes them both home because Children Make Some Stupid Choices. 

the rest of the fic will follow shouto, izuku, aizawa, and mama midoriya inko as they focus on feeling better and potentially shoving a whole entire lightpost up endeavor’s crusty ass.

because i hate him. and i think that’s very sexy of me.

BnHA Chapter 008: Capture the Flag

Previously on BnHA: Deku won his homeroom teacher’s approval by sending a baseball into outer space. Recovery Girl was like, “stop breaking shit.” All the characters got their superhero costumes revealed EXCEPT FOR DEKU because the mangaka is a fucking tease.

Today on BnHA: All Might’s first class! The kids split into teams of two to play Capture the Flag Nuclear Device! And, oh yes

As always, all comments not marked with an ETA are my unspoiled reactions from my first readthrough of this chapter. I’ve read up through chapter 11 now, so any ETAs will reflect that.

hold onto your butts, kids, because we’ve reached the second volume, and judging from the cover it seems like this rivalship is about to heat up

also this cover totally spoils Izuku’s about-to-be-revealed superhero costume, but that’s okay since I’ve seen it before already

there is apparently a Quirk Registry where everyone’s quirk details are kept in some kind of national index. pretty sure this kind of thing was the impetus behind the conflict in the first X-Men film, as well as the first (comic-verse) Marvel Civil War. but I guess it’s not as controversial when 80% of the population has these powers. at that point you’re like “yeah okay let’s make a list”

in Horikoshi’s Wikipedia bio it said he was a huge Marvel fan and it fucking shows. in a good way

what is he actually going to list as his quirk though, since the whole One for All thing is supposed to be a secret? what does AM have on his own quirk registry form?

(ETA: in chapter 11 it’s revealed that All Might has told at least 3 other people about his quirk, though. so there’s that. I wonder if he has a friend in the government, or if not, maybe the U.A. principal has some influence. or hell, he probably has a fair amount of influence himself, being the great symbol of peace.)

his mom is apologizing to Izu for her sad crying in his sad flashback. is this going to get emotional. Deku hasn’t cried yet in this chapter and the clock is ticking, so

Well, i got started in the manga when it only a few chapters long and i just followed it on and off since then. i didn’t really get into shipping around 2 years ago and bakugou’s character arc started to developed and he’s slowly and surely changing with the effort of himself, people around him, and the circumstances influencing him grow from the arrogant brat who see very little value in others to someone who knew what he did to deku was incredibly shitty and to see beyond just a person’s quirk. it also really help me see the potential of them together when i was reading ‘on the run’ by justaperson1718 . it’s my top ten most fav fics in the fandom!!! i go back and reread it all the time bc the redemption arc that the author give to bakugou was SO SATISFYING and the way he try soooooo hard and changed himself for his and izuku’s relationship so it could developed into something more made me so happy :)))). 

im a sucker for a good redemption story (zuko is my fav absolute from atla for reasons like this)!!!! i just really like to see him grow in his potential as a hero and as a person because you can be a great hero but doesn’t make you a good person and i want to see that from bakugou in the future as he climbs the rank with deku :D. now to talk about their dynamic, i usually don’t like to ship former bully/victim it kinda left a sour taste in my mouth but seeing his char grow and his arc being developed with so much care and thought in canon really changed my mind in the end and how much deku still deeply cares for him!!! HE DOESN’T HATE HIM!!!! and honestly, i really believe in giving ppl a second chances and we shouldn’t be defined by our past esp when we make the effort to learned from it and be better. i fucked up a lot when i was younger that im pretty sure you and everyone else would have easily find reason to hate me for it but i have learned and grown from that experience and i hope now im ok enough that ppl don’t see my past and think wow she was such a horrible person then and still is right now ///o\\. so yea, second chances and redemption story are something im extremely weak too (MAN this make me want to talk about winter soldieresque villain au of deku about how deku dreamt of being a hero but ended up being manipulated into being a villain and the long road of redemption deku has to go through to become hero). 

also bc my fav headcanon that once bakugou falls in love with deku he LIT can’t control his feelings for deku and is always fighting against how MUCH HE LOVES DEKU AND IT’S FRUSTRATES HIM LIKE NOTHING ELSE and how it’s karmatic justice for all the past bullying he did bc now it’s fucking whipped for deku :DDDDD. 

lol none of this is very coherent sorry ABOUT THAT A;SJSDF;SJD. but basically i have always been partial to childhood friends more than anything and rivilship gives a little spice into the relationship so LOL it makes it even more interesting to me. and i saw the potential in bakudeku when bakugou’s growth in canon is being developed and he’s changing to be a better person and how deku doesn’t hate him despite his past actions against deku and maybe in spite of it, deku still values bakugou and sees him just as important as all might in his life and that makes me weak bc SO MUCH HISTORY AND SIDE TO THEIR RELATIONSHIP.

oh and BakuDeku may be my OTP here but I’m also partial to TodoDeku and is extremely weak to TodoDekuBaku... haha I have a soulmate ot3 fic plan for the future //o\\ lol.
