CHARACTERS (separate): Shoto Todoroki, Katsuki Bakugo, Izuku Midoriya, Ochako Uraraka
WARNING: Mentions and references to some of the final battles and events from the series but nothing too big

SHOTO TODOROKI
How you meet:
100% you two met after the sports festival most likely getting help for redesigning his hero costume!!
Assuming it took awhile to choose the designs probably met and had lunch together several times and grew closer
Although lunches were mostly focused on his costume once in awhile would turn into small talk and getting to know one another leading to exchanging numbers
Once finished his costume out of habit started sitting with you
Definitely ended in an interrogation from Midoriya, Ochako, and Iida after he kept on going missing during lunch to sit with you
Grew closer always sitting with one another during lunch and after over text
How you end up together:
Probably went to his friends for help about his feelings 
either one of them or he let it slip one lunch and did not realize
Two ways this ends up playing out
Either one: You ask him about it and the two of you talking about it over text that night and putting a label on it (not entirely sure)
Or two: You completely ignore it and he ends confessing like wayyyy later
Either way most likely required pushing from Ochako, Iida, and Midoriya
General:
Will find the smallest errors about his costume just to visit you
If you were to have a sketchbook or journal of some sorts for coming up with designs would put little doodles on the pages ex. smiley faces, cats, maybe even to stick men and heart with ‘us’ in it
If anyone asked about his costume he would (even if not related whatsoever) proudly talk about how you helped him make it
Asked you about whether or not the five wieners kid was right
Always hanging out in the weekend and during lunch due to not sharing any classes
Share bits of each others lunches
Getting close with Midoriya, Ochako, and Iida since you all end up sitting together during lunch ^^
Also with everything that went down in terms of his family situation and other stuff in the first year it’s likely you don’t get together till your second or third year

KATSUKI BAKUGO
How you meet:
Came along with kaminari or kirishima when they were getting costume improvements and met you
You guys were sorta friends for awhile but you weren’t entirely close
Maybe you were the one to propose the idea of his support item in the Shigaraki fight (I forgot what it’s called)
Or he came to you asking about it since you were always doing Kaminari and Kirishimas stuff and you were likely the only support course student he knew and could request it from
Building off that idea it’s probably the only way you guys became friends, I’d imagine you’d end up closer much later in the school year rather then the beginning
You’d end up getting closer as you two worked together on the piece likely meeting after school most times
Potentially gave you a compliment for your work
How you end up together:
It wouldn’t be until you guys are in your second or third year because of your late start
That’s cause I think Bakugo would be someone who very much likes to take his time with relationships
The whole confession was likely a letter on a special holiday probably because he was nervous he’d mess it up and letters are easier
That likely resulted in talking it out over lunch he had set up for you two
Took you to a secluded area not too far from campus with some food he made and you guys put a label on your relationship :))
General:
checks up on you whenever your working outside of school hours and brings you food
Doesn’t yell at you as much as he does at others
NO. MATTER. WHAT. He will always get his costume repaired by you, absolutely refuses to let someone else do it <- this has ended up in several incidents
Recommends you to his friends, 100%
Probably takes you out to lunch to catch up with eachother every once in awhile
Would reluctantly listen if you ramble about costume and support item ideas
building off that he’d probably listen and give his own ideas maybe if you were working with another student would give you feedback on what to add

IZUKU MIDORIYA
How you meet:
You meet around halfway through the school year
Could only be when Hatsume was out sick and he needed repairs on his costume
Either that or Hatsume recommends him to you when she’s busy during school festival
Past then whenever he ended up needed adjustments with his costume and went to visit Hatsume he’d talk to you and check in on you
After some small talk you’d end up exchanging numbers and getting to know eachother better over text
Probably hang out once or twice and invites to join him at lunch! :D
Eventually he starts turning to you and Hatsume for costume adjustments and repairs and you guys slowly grow closer
How you end up together:
Midoriya probably has talked to Uraraka for help
However he’s probably too shy and flustered to confess in person so there’s one of two scenarios
1: he goes to ask Uraraka for help and ends up texting you instead
It ends up a complete incident but you guys talk it out and end up together
OR
2: similarly to bakugo he gives a letter of some sorts and you guys talk about it in a secluded area
You guys likely don’t end up together until your second year though if I’m thinking realistically especially with his dedication towards one for all and being a hero
General:
quirk rambling and analysis together
Study dates :D
Daily good morning texts and stuff since you don’t see eachother super often
Movie dates in each others dorms where you watch documentaries about quirks or all might
Sitting next to eachother during lunch
Maybe he joins you in the support course lab and does his homework or something while you tinker and such :))
Probably lots of time just spent quietly doing work together
Bringing eachother food when either is working for awhile is a 100%

OCHAKO URARAKA
How you meet:
Costume improvements!!!
Specifically working together on her wrist bands, likely took awhile to figure out but you guys ended up close in the end and exchanging numbers!
For the first ‘trial period’ of using them I bet they got tangled often and she’d use that as an excuse to come visit you
Probably got closer over text and it became a very nice friendship
And she would always turn to you about her costume
How you end up together:
Confesses in person, I think she’d prefer to do it face to face even if she’s all anxious and flustered
I think you wouldn’t end up together until your third year due to the events of the final battle
At your grad party she probably took you aside for a a breather and you had a talk
Boom boom and boom you both come back to the party grinning and holding hands and you’re together :))
Very quick and easy but I’m sure her confession was well though out and heartfelt
General:
Eating Mochi together :D
Matching bracelets and stuff if that’s your jam
Building on that you would make them together and everything it would be sweet
Craft and art dates
Walks around the campus together on weekends to catch up with one another
Same as Todoroki if you had a notebook she would doodle in it
Gives you notes with silly drawings since you can’t hang out often!!
Asks for ideas on support items for her costume
I think she’d be fascinated by your work and would end up watching you lots of the time after school
When she changed her hair 100% came to you and you guys figured it out together (probably ended calling in someone else to help though)

Izuku focused on fixing this hero gadget like his life depended on it. And it did. His love life, to be exact.
The gadget belonged to you, Y/N, part of the hero course. You always came by, and talked to him, and as the poor sap that he is, he formed a crush on you.
And his chance to impress you had come, finally. You had come by, but this time, with a gadget of yours, that helped make your quirk withstand more.
And you had asked him, of all people to fix it! Izuku worked on it, working hard. He had to do this right. Maybe then, once he impressed you, he would get the courage and confidence to ask you out.
Soon it was done. He shakily sent you a text, that it was ready. You responded a few minutes later, saying you would come by in the afternoon.
Just enough time for Izuku to look presentable so he could woo you.

You came into view, and Izuku’s heart into his throat. Then he saw the guy next to you. And almost immediately, bitter jealousy, followed by heartbreak.
You were smiling with the guy, laughing and talking. Was he your boyfriend? You came up to Izuku, greeting him.
“Hi Midoriya-kun!” You said, waving at him.
“I-I told you you could call me I-Izuku..” he mumbled shyly.
“Who’s your friend?” He said, his smile ever so fake, giving him a once over.
“Oh! This is Denki, one of my friends. Denki, this is Mido-Izuku,” you corrected, making his heart flutter. He loved how you said his name. “Izuku is part of the support course.” You turned to him, smiling.
So Denki was a friend. Or so you said.
He mustered a simple "Hi."
Denki grinned, "Hey!"
"Um, here's your support equipment.." Izuku said, passing you it.
You smile, "Thanks! You're such a good friend!"
Dear Lord in heaven, strike me now. Life isn't worth it. After she leaves, I'm going to go cry into my pillow.
You don't notice his broken expression. "You did such a good job! It feels much lighter now, you're so cool, Izuku."
He musters a smile, "Thanks." at least you maybe thought he was cool.
Denki cleared his throat, “Y/N has something to say to you.”
You flushed, “I do not!”
“Yeah, you do. I came here to make sure you don’t chicken out.”
Izuku blinked, “What is it?”
You paused, glancing to the side, then finally..started to walk away. “Absolutely nothing!”
Izuku was baffled. What did you want to say?
“Um..we’ll catch you later!” Denki said, patting Izuku’s shoulder, and he almost recoiled.
“By the way, Y/N likes chocolate, sleeping, and the colour, uh, green, if you will. And her favourite flowers are f/f! Good luck!” And he was off, leaving Izuku confused.
“You’re so fucking dense.”
Izuku jumped as Bakugo appeared behind him.
“Wha-?”

You walked out of the dorms on the warm Tuesday morning, the sun was out, and the breeze was slowly and lazily drifting by.
The fresh air felt amazing in your lungs as you leisurely strolled to UA, the campus’s beautiful scenery taking your breath away.
A few of your classmates walked past you, greeting you with warm smiles, or sleepy expressions, to which you reciprocate the greeting with your own greeting.
You enjoy the warm morning sun on your skin, the crisp air and cool breeze, thinking of taking a nice long nap in the grass in the courtyard of the dorms.
You sighed as you made your way to the entrance of the school, kissing the beautiful April weather goodbye.
The halls a bustling with students, the signature gray top with dark green bottoms greeting your eyes in a sea of blurry colors.
Despite how tired you are, you smile.
You were incredibly lucky to be going here.
The school’s courses were incredibly well thought out, the teachers were very thorough in their teachings, and you picked up a lot of new methods for working and designing support course gear.
You mainly worked on class 1B’s things, Hatsume mainly dealt with the more troublesome 1A students, which you certainly weren’t complaining about.
As you’re deep in thought, you walk past a trio, and hear the most melodic and beautiful laufh you’ve ever heard.
Your heart floats in your chest as you hear it, and you whip your head to the side.
The trio consisted of three students, one tall boy with dark blue hair, red eyes and glasses, a girl with a brown bob and brown eyes, with pink cheeks. Then, you lay your eyes on the source of the laughter.
The third member of this trio, had wild green curls that were tousled and free, his freckled cheeks a light pink as he and the girl laughed at something, his eyes crinkling shut and his shoulders trembling as he produced the most sweet and gut wrenching sound you’ve ever heard in your 16 years of existence.
You blushed brightly, and gazed at the boy, probably looking like a creep, but what were you supposed to do? You’d just had the wind knocked out of you by the sweetest laugh, that belonged to the sweetest looking boy you’d ever laid eyes on.
He cracked one of his eyes open, his waterline red with a few little tears threatening to spill from his bright green and warm looking eyes.
God you were a mess. Your stomach aggressively fluttering and your heart pounding against your ribs. Who was this cute boy?
The bell signaling school would be starting, rang sooner than you would have liked. You frowned and sighed, watching as the boy collected himself and his trio walked down the hall, turning out of sight.
Your mind lingered on his laugh, on his sweet pink cheeks and emerald green eyes and those messy curls.
You groaned to yourself. What were you thinking? This was some random boy you saw in the halls, and you were acting all flustered over his laugh.
“Get it together, Y/n” you muttered to yourself as you walked down the hall, sighing heavily. You trudge down to your classroom, slipping in silently and sitting next to Hatsume and Ami.
Ami was the first to notice your flustered state. She smirked and turned around to face you “hey, N/n, what’s got you all red in the face this morning?” She asked.
You looked away and huffed. You didn’t honestly want to explain your little incident in the hall. “It’s nothing, it’s just me being over dramatic, that’s all” you muttered dismissively, only serving to fuel Ami’s curiosity.
Ami’s round, orange, eyes narrowed as you dismissed your pink cheeks and avoidant gaze. She glanced to Hatsume, who had a screwdriver in hand, and a glove in the other. “What do you think, Me? Does she look..i dunno…flustered?”
Hatsume only glanced up for a second, then returned her gaze down to her gadget “she looks fine to me!” She chirped, making Ami’s face drop into a deadpan “you’re an addict.” She grumbled under her breath.
You laughed a little and rolled your eyes “guys, it’s no big deal. I just woke up on the wrong side of the bed this morning.” You lied, to which Ami sighed “well, if you say so, but you can tell us anything, you know that N/n?”
You smiled softly, feeling lucky to have friends who genuinely care about you. A warm feeling settled in your chest “yeah, I gotcha” you assured with a nod.
A bit later ✮˚.⋆
Finally, your favorite time of the day rolled around…lunch.
Lunch Rush’s food was amazing, and you got to chat with your friends, sometimes even showing off blueprints for the latest projects you’d been working on.
You walked out of the lunch line next to Ami, chatting lightly and chuckling a bit as she cracked a few jokes. As you walked, you heard a familiar sound, one that made you erupt in goosebumps.
You whipped your head around and saw that same boy from earlier that morning, sitting with a new face, a boy with half-and-half hair.
Your heart raced as you gazed at the boy, his laugh wasn’t even that loud, but you could hear it over everything else, the world seeming to hone in on this one freckled boy.
You were so caught up in the boy’s laughter, and in his appearance, you barely even noticed Ami trying to get your attention, until she snapped her fingers in front of your face. “Hello?? Earth to Y/n- are you with us?”
You blushed furiously and looked away, a blush rising to your ears “s-sorry, Wh-what were you saying?” You muttered, stumbling over your words a bit.
Ami huffed and held her tray with one hand, placing her other on her hip “you’re acting weird today, are you sure you’re feeling alright?” She asked with a concerned look on her face, her amber eyes searching yours for any hint of being sick or..something.
You were sick alright, quite sick in fact.
You looked away, averting your gaze from Ami’s “yeah- I’m good Ams, I just-“ you glanced back at the boy for a split second, then away again. Ami turned a second too late, not being able to follow your gaze.
She sighed and shook her head “if you say so..cmon, we need to get to the table before Hatsume blows up the whole cafeteria with her ‘babies’”
You nodded and shot a shy glance to the boy once again, your heart beating a little harder “okay..yeah let’s go”

Apparently, Hatsume had gotten sick some point during the day, meaning that you and Ami and the rest of your class had the lab to yourselves today.
You sighed as you stared down at the helmet you were working on. You spun your wrench around in your fingers, trying to figure out how to implement a comms system without adding a bulky antenna, or making the device in an inconvenient spot.
You looked up as the door to the lab opened, and there stood a blonde haired boy, who looked rather unhappy to be there, and a red head next to him, who couldn’t look more opposite than he did.
“Hello!” The redhead greeted, flashing a sharp, toothy grin. You smiled and pulled from your desk “oh, hey guys. Can I help you two with something?”
The blonde scoffed, his shoulders slouched and his hands in his pockets “where’s the pink one?” He asked with an unimpressed look.
You blinked and chuckled, rubbing the back of your neck. “Uhm..Hatsume is sick..today..but I can definitely help with whatever you’re needing”
The blonde grunted and rolled his eyes, earning a hand on his shoulder from the redhead “ah! It’s not a big deal. I just wanted some help with my costume” he held up his suitcase with his number on it, and you smiled.
“Sure, what did you need?” You asked, taking the case from him and putting it on your desk, opening it.
The redhead smiled “well, I need to make my shoulder pads more heavy, but I don’t want them to put a strain on my body where it’ll do damage or anything like that.” He explained as he pulled out two dark, rusty red, cog looking shoulder pads.
You frowned as you looked at them, taking one and turning it over in your hands. The material was light. You tapped on it with you nail and hummed a bit “well, concidering these are plastic, it’s going to be significantly harder to make these heavier. However, I can cast and remake you different ones out of metal, if you’re alright with that?”
The redhead smiled and looked down at you “oh! Yeah that sounds awesome! As long as I can increase the weight I’m okay with whatever” he nodded and placed his hands on his hips.
You smiled “perfect. Well, I’ll try to have them back to you as soon as possible. Who’s this belong to?” You asked, grabbing some label stickers and putting it on his case, grabbing a marker.
“Kirishima Ejirou” he chirped, his tone light and cheerful. The boy next to him rolled his eyes, seemingly unamused with his happy demeanor.
And just like that, a whole world was opened to you.
Kirishima turned out to be a really nice guy, a little impatient, but in an excited kid way.
He was so incredibly sweet, and you were fast friends. His warm demeanor and friendly smile were something you got used to as he visited every day to check on his shoulder pads.
Meanwhile, the boy you deemed your ‘hallway crush’, continued to be just that..a hallway crush.
His laugh, that smile, the way his cheeks dimpled when he grinned, how the freckles littered his skin, his wild curls, the way his green eyes caught the light..
About a week later, you mentioned this boy in passing, to which Kirishima brightened and smiled “oh! You mean Midoriya?”
You paused and looked over at him “Midoriya?”you repeated dumbly, to which Kirishima chuckled a bit, his hearty laugh warming your atmosphere.
“Well, you said green hair, and the only guy I know who has green hair is Midoriya. He’s kinda short with curly hair? Freckles?” Kirishima described and you felt your heard pound in your chest. You dropped the screwdriver you were holding and gaped.
“You’re classmates with my hallway crush!?” You squealed, shaking the boy by his shoulders.
Kirishima laughed and put his hands over yours “yes- yes! Apparently!” He laughed, allowing you to shake him with the shocked look on your face. “Do you want me to give you his number?”
Your face turned more red than Kiri’s hair, and you sputtered. On one hand, the idea of having his number- of getting that form of communication that you’d been dreaming about, sounded amazing. On the other hand, you were terrified.
“I-I dunno Kiri” you rubbed the back of your neck and looked down shyly “is he nice? I don’t really know him but I’ve only ever seen him smiling or flustered.”
Kirishima smiled warmly and nodded, leaning against your work bench “oh Midoriya? Yeah, the dude is a total sweetheart. He’s nerdy, nice, conciderate and super selfless. He’s also childhood friends with my boyfriend, Bakugou.”
You hummed and fiddled with your fingers “should I try and talk to him next time I see him?” You asked, the idea alone making your stomach twist with anxiety and your hands grow sweaty.
Kirishima perked up and grinned “yeah! Don’t worry, midoriya is totally shy and probably has no experience when it comes to girls, so you don’t need to worry about high standards or anything.”
His words assured you a little but you were still nervous.
Although..the thought of talking to him did make you excited.
A few days passed since that interaction with Kirishima, and you had been looking for your hallway crush. Aka Midoriya.
You walked through the halls, passing the 1A classroom a few times, and finally, you found him.
Your heart fluttered wildly and you almost stumbled over your own two feet as you saw the boy walking with his nose buried in a notebook.
You sucked in a breath, mustered all of your courage and walked up to him “h-hey..Midoriya!”
The boy pulled his face from his book and turned around. He gave a confused smile “oh! Hi, uhm..do I know you?” He asked, fiddling with some of his curls.
You almost passed away. His voice was so easy to listen to, and you could easily let him chat your ear off for hours.
“N-no, I’m actually in the support course” you said, rubbing the back of your neck with a small smile.
Midoriya perked up and smiled “oh! Support course? That’s awesome! Thank you for all the work you do for us” he said warmly, fiddling with the cover of his notebook.
You blushed brightly and fiddled with your tie “oh- I-it’s not a big deal, we just do what we can” you waved off his thanks, feeling a bit shy.
“Oh- a-anyways, I just..wanted to say that you look nice t-today” you said with a shaky smile. Your words made Izuku’s cheeks flush bright red as he suddenly began mentally running over his appearance.
“I-I look nice-? O-oh! Oh! Thank-thank you s-so much! Y-you look very pretty- I mean- beautiful! I mean uh..” Izuku fumbled over his words, suddenly feeling rather bashful and a bit shy.
You blushed and you swore this boy had just taken your heart from you right then and there. You laughed a bit and shyly fiddled with your skirt “uhm..I was wondering if I could maybe get your number?” You asked softly
Izuku’s cheeks, somehow, turned even redder. He blinked as he processed your words before he stiffened “yes!” He said a little too loudly, making you laugh a bit.
He handed you his phone with shaky hands “I’m Y/n, Y/n L/n, it’s nice to meet you, Midoriya” you said as you typed in your number and sent your phone a text from his.
“O-oh! You’re the girl Kirishima mentioned, awesome! It’s n-nice to meet you, L/n” Midoriya said as he accepted his phone back from you, his cheeks still red as he tried to maintain his composure.
You smiled and nodded “yeah, that’s me, but please, Y/n is just fine” you assured.
Izuku’s cheeks flushed bright red and he looked away with a shy grin “alright..u-uh..Y-Y/n it is then”
You two stood there awkwardly for a moment, before you spoke up “uhm..I-is it too forward to offer to walk you to your next class?” You asked, to which Izuku blinked before shaking his head quickly “n-no! That- that sounds awesome..a-actually”
You smiled and rubbed the back of your neck “a-alright, Wh-where to?” You asked, barely finding your voice, your hands fidgety and your cheeks bright red.
“I-i have hero ethics next, I-it’s this way” Izuku said as he gestured down the hall, a small smile on his lips and a pleasant blush on his freckled cheeks.
You smiled as the two of you walked together, the small talk came easy and you just knew when you heard him laughing, that you were done for.

"Do It For Us." Pt.4
AN: I LIED SHE IS IN UA CUZ SHIKETSU IS TOO STRICT AND SHE NEEDS CREATIVE FREEDOM.
Summery: quirkless and weak, two words treat have defined this girl for too long. She can be useful to her friends, she can finally carve out a way into the hero life. From the sidelines. But…Izuku has a quirk? When? How? He’s a liar….

Being an inventor had opened your eyes, so many possibilities with creating things you realize heros will need. Some quirks can’t be regulated without support items which means you would be a vital part of history!
And some quirks weren’t hard to replicate. In a way you could research quirks and make your own. You had so many plans and ideas to share, especially after taking your first step in your classroom.
You felt your heart racing, transferring a month into school was stressful, everyone already knew each other and probably had clicks.
The support course, you were able to branch off after your main classes into the little indoor laboratories or whatever they’re called to create. Of course of of them were taken, two people in one garage.
Of course you were lucky enough to have one more spot so you didn’t have to walk across the entire school to get to an empty one. The teacher had told you that your partner will be a girl since of your record.
You nervously approach the lab, a box of blueprints and tools in your hands and you push the door open to see a girl with a big smile on her face laughing maniacally while creating her creations.
“My babies will be perfect! After I showcase these babies they’ll have to recruit me and buy my precious babies!” The pink haired girl cheered holding one of her ‘babies’ in the air.
You simply sneak into the room, making your way to the long desk across the room. Surprisingly it was empty, you thought since she was alone she’d take up the whole space.
“Hiya!” You felt a hand suddenly on your shoulder making you scream. “Oh my god!” You drop your box on the desk turning around to see the pink haired girl who had grime all over her face smiling at you.
“I was told a female transfer student will need space! So I kicked the guy who was in here outta here!! Of course I wanna work with a girl! We can create precious babies together! By the way the names Mei Hatsume! Wanna see some of my babies!? Oo what’s in here!” The girl was spouting so much you couldn’t even comprehend anything she was saying, everything was happening so fast.
It kind of reminded you of Izuku.
“Oh! That’s just my blueprints…I wanna see if I can replicate complicated quirks maybe even see if you can like I dunno…change some? An example would be if Mount lady could control her size! It would be super useful especially when navigating a large city with cramped roads. Mount lady would-“ you cut yourself off as you saw the girl listening intently, you face flushing realizing you were rambling like Izuku normally would.
“That’s a brilliant idea! Me and you are gonna get along just fine! You’re also just in time for the sports festival! It’s literally in 2 days!” She cheered helping you set up your side of the room.
Mei was a doll, you loved her bright energy and her ability to create was grand! You two spent the day going over blue prints and possible tools you could bring to the sports festival.
This is where you heard that class 1-A was the most popular class right now, the hero course. That’s where you could assume where Bakugou and Izuku was, well either 1-A or 1-B.
“Yeah that Bakugou guy is a real snob!” You flinch at the name, currently you were fetching some history books with a fellow classmate to stock up in your home room class.
“Yeah should’ve known class 1-A would be to egotistical. Only a select few get into the hero course.”
Class 1-A huh? You thought, spacing out at the thought of visiting Bakugou. He’s only a few halls away, you could totally just pop in. But we’re you ready?
“Ah!” You didn’t know what was happening, one minute you were walking with a stacks of books the next you were falling. Turns out a whole group of students starting bombarding the halls.
“What the hell!?” You look around, picking yourself up noticing the group of students making their way down the halls. “They late for class or?”
“Nah, they’re checkin out class 1-A, not only did they survive a real villian attack but in the sports festival they can switch you into the hero class if they see you fit for it. Meaning some kids, gonna get moved out.” Your class mate stated, helping you pick up your books that you had dropped.
“It’s not like I wanna get in so…-“ your class mate continued talking while you stared down the hall. Thoughts racing through your mind. You hadn’t seen Bakugou in months.
I wonder how he’s doing…
I’m just not ready.

The days before the sports festival past quickly, you told mei that you didn’t think you could participate in the sports festival due to your anxiety. She understood right away and told you she will represent your babies at the festival in your steed.
Mei was such a sweet girl, she always knew exactly what to say to you and how to make you feel better. You felt so lucky.
You watched from the area your class was assigned, you were basically the only one there as all the classes walked into the large stadium. You heart raced, you immediately could see the two you longed to see the most.
They haven’t changed. You smile watching as the classes line up to listen to the hero Midnight announce the rules and who’s going to sing the pledge.
“Bakugou Katsuki!” The skimpy suited hero yelled, unexpected. You thought that Katsuki would be the last person to represent a class, due to his very aggressive behavior. You simply watched as he walked up into the podium, hands stuck in his pockets.
“I just wanted to say. That I’m gonna win.”
Oh my god…
Your jaw drops and you cover your mouth, trying to hold your laughter in. God damn it Katsu! Honestly you should’ve known he’d do something like this, his bold confidence was something I’m you used to admire. Come to think of it you were doing fine seeing him.
MaybeI am ready…
But you just didn’t want to risk it, ruining your own life after another episode, you don’t think you would ever recover from another episode. Especially after finding your calling.
As the games went on, you watched the first event intently, seeing Bakugou fighting for first place gave you a rush of your own. You couldn’t help but be internally rooting for him.
Until you saw Izuku flying past the the two boys fighting for first place. Your eyes widen, like in slow motion you saw the boy you admired all your life. Izu..
You stood up in your chair, now you had no clue who to root for! Woah! Izu is so smart…he used the bombs to propel himself in front of the rest of them. He always was the smart one, you know instead of a hero he couldn’t taken the support course. With that brain he could make fine equipment for hero’s.
Your smile fades, how did he get into the hero course..? Only the best of the best, with quirks can get in…
Before your mind begins to race, you quickly calm yourself down, settling back in your seat to continue watching the race play out.
As the games went on, the Calvary battle gave you a good laugh watching Bakugou fly around and angrily yell at his teammates.
You smile as both your childhood friends made it to the finals, Bakugou was fighting a cute girl! And Izuku was fighting a todoroki. Well the only fights you were interested in paying any attention to, you kind of spaced out for the rest of the fights until theirs came.
Well of course you had a very good laugh when Mei toyed with that glasses guy!
Finally it was Bakugou’s fight, of course you were voting for him. Watching as he basically bullied the girl, her quirk…they said it was gravity right. Yknow if I had it I would. Then you realized what she was doing, looking up to see the broken pieces of the stage floating above the stadium.
I fucking love her. You thought excitedly, you kind of hoped this would work, the girl was tirelessly charging herself at your blonde haired friend. Hearing the crowd booing Bakugou broke your heart, not only for Bakugou but the fact that they’re totally underestimating this girl!
One of the announcers lectured the heros booing him, as the rocks came falling down, it was an amazing sight. Woah! The hero course is so…amazing. But with one blast Bakugou countered her attack basically ending the fight there after the girl collapsed due to exhaustion.
You felt a hand land on your shoulder startling you as you realize it was just Mei. “Did you see our babies Y/n! They did so good! Don’t worry if any agencies ask about them I’ll let them know you helped me too! And of course some of them are your design.” She cheered giving you the biggest hug as you watch Izuku step out onto the stage.
You tuned out the world during this fight, there was no way he was going to win. Especially without a quirk. Your memory remembered the time where he told you that he had a chance to get in. Does that mean…? No…so was he not quirkless? Did he find out he had one?
So he wasn’t like you?
As the fight when on, he managed to counter every attack which made your heart sink. Confirming your thoughts as you watch his bones break with each powerful use of his quirk.
He had a quirk? When? Since when did he get a quirk?
You didn’t know how or when. All you knew is that he wasn’t like you anymore, he wasn’t quirkless. A weakling it be pushed around all your life, a defenseless bug to be squashed underneath everyone’s feet.
Or was he just lying…did he lie about not having a quirk? Laughing behind your back all these years as he pretended to be your friend? Your alley? Your only hope? Your mind raced with thoughts you didn’t even know you had streams of tears rushing from your eyes down your face, Mei calling out your name.
Since you weren’t budging, staring at the fight as she Mei quickly rushed you out into a waiting room. “Is everything okay Y/n!?? What happened?” You snap back to reality, just breaking down in tears.
You felt like a fool. You felt so betrayed, your heart felt so broken in that very moment. You couldn’t be here anymore, you couldn’t.
“Did you hear?”
“Yeah some girl from the support course was in tears over this fight.”
“Heard it was a quirkless transfer.”
“I wonder what that was about.”
Katsuki rolled his eyes at the bumbling rumors going around the students, watching as Izuku and todoroki fought.
“Her name I think was.. Y/n L/n?” He immediately perked up, turning to the class that was sitting above them to try to listen closer. She must’ve saw Deku usin that stupid quirk. What a fuckin idiot. Katsuki clenched his fist, getting out of his seat to fines you.
He needed to see you.
At least one more time.

They assigned you a half year-long work, which would be worth 30% of your final grade. What does the work consist of, you ask? Making a complete study of the life of a student you need to pick and paint it.
But... you can't pick a friend.

You sat outside, pen in one hand, the other on your lap. Scribbling on the piece of paper quick doodles of a random animal. A rooster...a chicken…why was this one that popped in your mind, you don’t know.
A sight escapes your mouth as you look up at the sky. “This is going to be a nightmare” you mutter.
You would’ve been more ok with all of this if you could’ve chosen someone close to you instead. So much easier, simpler. But in the art course? nothing was easy.
You sometimes thought of quitting, completely. But the love you had for art kept you here and perhaps your supportive friends too. Seriously they meant everything to you, they’ve been here through thick and thin. They could be…themselves but you’d do anything for them, the other way around as well.
Taking your phone from your pocket, you check the time — 12:40 pm. “I should already be on my way to the cafeteria.” You get up slowly, grab your bag from the ground and shove the paper and pen inside.
As you enter the building, you greet with a wave of your hand some classmates you had met in your morning class. When you enter the cafeteria, you grab the tray from the pile and pick up a sandwich, a fruit salad and you pay for a soda can at the vending machine.
You weren’t particularly hungry today.
Scanning the room you make eye contact with your friends a bit further away. You march over to them and install yourself next to Himiko, Izuku in front.
”I’ve missed you guys so bad.” you say hugging Himiko’s arm. She hugs you back with a big smile. “Us as well!” she chuckles. “It’s only the first day of the week and I’m already tired.” adds Izuku with a slight smile before taking a bite from his sandwich.
You begin eating as well. “Can you guys believe it's the last year we’ll be together..” you say to them. “Oh don’t start already or I’m going to cry.” says Himiko, turning her head.
“ I know we’ll definitely be busy after but ain’t no way we’re getting separated, you better believe me, you ain’t getting rid of us” she taps her finger on your cheek in a teasing way.
”Oh that I already know” you chuckle.
Izuku suddenly perks up and says “By the way y/n I talked to some of my classmates and I’m sorry most of them don’t feel comfortable with that…” “Oh right mine as well…they say they don't want to meet new people or whatever” himiko adds.
”Oh well I did expect that honestly” you cross your arms and straighten yourself. “Guess the whole art course is going to struggle with finding someone” you sigh and begin to wonder how else are you going to find a student willing to participate in that. Ochaco may try with her classmates but you already have an idea of how it’s going to end.
You’d like someone with personality as well and there’s plenty of people like that here but—
You were cut off by a cheerful voice.
”Izuku you’re here!” A girl with pretty pink hair stopped in front of the table with her tray in hand. You all turned your head at her.
”Oh I didn’t know you were with friends my bad you guys!” she smiles.
”No it’s alright, you wanted something?” he responds.
”The boys are over there and I wanted to know if you wanted to come sit with us! Your friends can come as well if they’d like” She smiles at the both of us.
“Yeah for sure! Does it bother you guys?” He says looking at us.
”Not at all” Himiko and you respond at the same time. You look at each other before chuckling slightly.
”Perfect, follow me!” the girl begins walking ahead. “The name’s Mina by the way!”
”I’m y/n!” you respond back.
”And I’m Himiko”
You all reach a long table with four people already sitting and talking.
Four boys to be exact, one had blond hair and was just staring at the other three with a raised eyebrow, another had red hair and was laughing at something another blond said next to him and the last one with longer black hair was holding his sandwich with a smirk on his face.
”I am here and brought companyyy” Mina chants at the boys.
They perk up at the sound of her voice and all turn their heads towards us. You and Himiko smile not knowing what to do next.
”Hey, these are my friends, Himiko Toga and Y/n L/n !” Izuku introduces us.
He turns to us and points at the boys one by one.
”This is Kacchan- I mean Katsuki Bakugo. You already know him.” he laughs pointing at the blond with red eyes.
Bakugo nods his head with an almost visible smile.
”This is Denki Kaminari” The other blond points finger guns at us.
”This is Eijiro Kirishima” the red haired boy waves at us with a smile.
“And last but not least Sero Hanta” the black haired boy throws a peace sign at us and winks.
They all greet us happily and urge us to sit with them. You began talking for what seemed like hours, they told you they were part of the school volleyball team.
”Oh that’s so cool, how long have y'all been playing for?” you ask.
”We pretty much have been since we were kids. We practically all met through that.” Kirishima responds cheerfully. “Yeah we’re all like a biggg family” Kaminari leans on his shoulder.
Bakugo turns his head at us before speaking “So y/n, art huh? How is it being an artist?”
I laugh “I’m not an artist, artist yet but—“ you were cut off by Izuku.
”Oh stop that you draw, you paint even if it's not professionally yet you’re still an artist.”
”Yeah, it doesn’t matter even if it was just a hobby, you still are an artist.” Sero joins him before continuing. “And how is it going so far?”
”To be honest? Right now, horrible.” you chuckle.
They all seem taken back as their eyes slightly widen.
“It’s mostly because of an assignment our teacher already gave us.”
”Oh that's rough— On the first day?” Kirishima says.
”Yeah, I have like half of the school year to complete it? And it's worth 30% of my final grade too.” You lean your head on your hand. “I need to pick a student I don't know, to study their life? Like get to know them so I can make a painting of it—“
”You can study me?” Sero suddenly says, catching you off guard. “We just met so that’ll be perfect and I get to spend time with a cute girl like you so it’s a win-win situation.” He smiles and leans back on his chair.
You stare at him. That’s...a good idea actually you think to yourself and it’s not a total stranger if it’s one of Izuku’s friends…right?
”Well Sero you’ve got yourself a deal” I smile back at him.
”Call me Hanta.”

SYNOPSIS: KATSUKI BAKUGO has gotten used to the monotonous routine of his physical and quirk therapy. Going over the same sign-in chart, same exercises to bring back feeling in his arm, and slowly introducing his quirk back. That all changed when one day, during one of his usual session times a teen around his age showed up. Wearing two ankle braces.

KATSUKI BAKUGO HAD ALWAYS BEEN ONE FOR ROUTINES. His daily life, ever since middle school consisted of one: waking up early, going for a morning run, having breakfast, going to school, homework, study, more training, dinner, shower, and go to bed at the latest of 9pm. A cut and dry routine that he, himself, had created. He was a creature of habit and never liked change. That of course changed when he entered U.A.
His life, the one he knew, changed when his childhood best friend suddenly and out of nowhere got a quirk. His quirkless childhood best friend had a strong quirk and was improving fast. Way too fast for his liking. The ideal life and routine he had in his head changed to now include his goal of surpassing and still being better than IZUKU. And his immense growth his first year at U.A was proof of that. 
His loud, explosive, and angry personality had consistently mild down throughout the year and the events that he and his classmates were and had experienced. Of course it is no secret that a war would change a person fundamentally, especially him considering he had died for a moment of time during it. Thankfully, he was able to be brought back and see the end of it, marking the end to one of Japan’s darkest times and even witnessing his childhood best friend become the greatest hero of all time. Finally allowing for the reform their hero society needed to begin. 
However, surviving a war didn’t mean he got out scot-free. Katsuki was left with some gnarly scars and a heart that had to be monitored, reminders of what he went through. But those were the last of his worries when it came to his dream and goals of becoming the best hero of all time. His worries came with his arm. During the war his arm had received a lot of damage, profusely messing it up. He could no longer fully move his hand, and his quirk, which relied on his sweat, was practically unusable in its current state. After waking up in the hospital, getting time to get used to being awake he was told that he had two options. 
One: get his arm amputated and get a prosthetic, or two: go the long route and go through physical and quirk therapy. 
Katsuki knew one thing at that moment and that was if he wanted to even fully use his quirk and achieve his dream, he’d have to have both his arms. So his choice was pretty clear, he was going to go through the long process of physical and quirk therapy. He not only had the support of his parents but of his friends as well, so the road ahead didn’t seem too rough to him. 
With the defeat of Shigaraki and All for One, society was slowly but surely starting to recover which meant that physical therapy clinics were finally and fully opening back up. Plus with most school’s needing to be rebuilt or fixed, summer came early for students all around the country. And so Katsuki’s routine changed once again for the third time. His training had now been replaced with physical and quirk therapy at 5pm every Monday, Wednesday and Friday. 
From the moment he got discharged from the hospital, he was immediately required to go to his first session on a Wednesday. And just like that Katsuki had a new routine. Being a month into rehab, Katsuki had gotten used to the monotonous routine of his physical and quirk therapy. Going over the same sign-in chart, same exercises to bring back feeling in his arm, and slowly introducing his quirk back. That all changed one random Wednesday when he showed up. 
Katsuki always liked showing up a little bit earlier than his scheduled time, just so that he could get the sign-in chart quickly over with and not have it take up time from his appointment. He, like usual, had been dropped off by his mother at the clinic, her promising she’d be back in an hour, with him responding in a disinterested tone that he knew and understood. He’d then watch her drive away, a byproduct of his senses always on edge, before finally walking into the building. He expected it to be empty as it had always been but to his surprise there was someone there before him. 
The person that from what he could see was around his age. They sat there with their head low, the cap on their head covering most of their face except for their lips and chin. The cap wasn’t what caught Katsuki’s attention as he went and sat down in one of the uncomfortable chairs in the waiting area. What caught his attention was the two ankle braces they were wearing on each ankle. The sight genuinely intrigued him, making questions fill his head. Why two braces? How did they injure themselves? Did they hurt one ankle first and then the other? Or did they hurt the two at the same time? Were some of the few that filled his head. 
The waiting room was mostly silent, with the only noise being the typing of the receptionist and the low humming noise of the A.C unit. Katsuki had genuinely expected the teen to at least maybe look in his direction and acknowledge him or even attempt to make conversation. But no, all he got was silence on their end. The silence didn’t help his curiosity at all, with him taking peeks at them as they both sat in the waiting area. 
Every time he’d expect them to at least have slightly moved, but no, they continued to sit in the same position he had seen them since he had entered. Their elbows resting on the arm rests, their head hanging low, body slightly slouched as if they were ashamed, and their feet firmly planted against the floor. And god, those damn ankle braces didn’t help in want of knowing what happened. But Katsuki was never one to initiate a conversation, and if the teen didn’t want to say anything then he wouldn’t either. 
It genuinely felt like an eternity in the waiting room, with the silence so deafening that Katsuki began to contemplate if he should speak up just to get rid of it. But before he could decide whether or not he should, his name got called out making him turn his head in the direction. It was time for him to start the usual routine he mentally created for himself. As he stood up and made his way over to the nurse that had called out to him, Katsuki glanced one final time at the teen, before heading to the back to get started. 
Katuski believed that when he’d get out of his session the teen would be gone but to much of his surprise, they were still there. He guessed that their session ended before his since they were at the receptionist desk setting up their next appointment for Wednesday at the same time as he would be right after they left. From where he stood he could catch a glimpse of their face, seeing their clearly tired eyes, and the frown on their face. He could tell that they didn’t want to be there, and that just added more fuel to the fire, wondering what happened to them for them to land here, just like him.
Their frown wasn’t just the only thing that intrigued Katsuki, but their height as well. Katsuki was tall, clearly. He stood, proudly, at five’ eight and used his height as an advantage over villains. But from what he could see this teen a few feet away from him was taller than him, only by a few inches. They towered over the receptionist, with her having to crane her neck to look up. Normally something about that would infuriate him but with them it was different. Their height added to the curiosity that he held for them and maybe even some attraction, but Katsuki would never admit that. 
He watched them only nod in response to the woman's words, giving her one last nod before walking and out of the clinic, clearly they wanted to get the hell out. And honestly Katsuki didn’t blame them for it, he also just wanted to be done with his therapy sessions and go back to his regular life, going back to doing hero work. Standing there he listens to the receptionist talk about his next appointment and the upcoming ones he had next, watching as their silhouette walked away from the building and got into a car.

[Y/N] HAD ALWAYS HAD ONE DREAM SINCE THEY WERE A CHILD. From the moment they had seen them gracefully glide across their screen, twirling, dipping, and jumping, they knew that was what they wanted to do. Seeing a Prima Ballerina perform Tchaikovsky Swan Lake, they knew they wanted to be the white swan. They knew they needed to be a ballerina. 
They still remembered going up to their mother and telling her how they wanted to do ballet, how it didn’t matter to them if they got a quirk or not, they just wanted to perform Swan Lake. They remember the begging they did, trying to convince their pro-hero parents to allow them to do ballet, begging to break the family tradition of being heroes. They knew how important it was for their parents for them to follow in the tradition, it was the legacy their great grand-parents had started. But, even as a small child they knew that wasn’t what they wanted and what they did they saw dancing on their screen.
Their mother was more skeptical, not seeing the appeal of it, that maybe there was another activity that they could do related to hero work. Their father was the one who fully listened to them. Maybe it was because this was his only child wanting to do something they wanted, or maybe it was because that spark they had for the dance was the same spark he had when seeing his father be a hero. He made them make him a promise. He made them promise that if they ever stopped or showed disinterest in the dance style, they would start hero training. 
And ever since that day, they have never broken their promise. Everyday from that day forward they spent their life going to dance classes, practices, going to rehearsals, performances, doing pointe shoe fittings and getting lead roles in productions. Even when their quirk came in, aptly named ‘Swan Song’ they continued to dance no matter what. Their entire elementary and middle school years were spent perfecting their craft, hoping and dreaming that in a couple years their dreams of becoming a Prima Ballerina would become true. And it was during the 8th grade, that it finally happened. 
That lifelong dream came in the form of a letter from the official National Ballet of Japan, with them offering them the position of their brand new prima ballerina. To say that [Y/N] was excited would be an understatement. They were ecstatic over the fact that they would be finally able to fulfill their childhood and lifelong dream. Of course their dream opportunity came with an exception, that being that they would have to move to Japan and attend one of the country's prestigious high schools. 
[Y/N] was used to going overseas and going to performances all over the country, but moving to a completely different country by themselves? Without their parent’s? Now that was a whole new experience. The thought of being thousands of miles away from their parent’s, their family was daunting, scary. This was their dream, their once in a lifetime opportunity, but doing it without their parent’s? That was something they weren’t prepared for. Talking and telling their parents about this life changing opportunity was one of the hardest things they had to do.
They remember their mom telling them another opportunity like that could at some point present itself again, that they didn’t have to commit to this in a completely different country, that they should stick with their current dance company. Their dad on their other hand had only one question for them. ‘Have you fallen out of love with the dance?’ The moment that question left his mouth, [Y/N] knew what they had to do. And that was mailing their acceptance of the offer back to The National Ballet of Japan and looking into what school they would go to. 
After hours of research, enrolling, transferring their grades and transcript, packing, mailing their stuff over to their new school dorm rooms, heading over to Japan, [Y/N] was finally able to step foot into their room in Shiketsu’s dorms. With their overseas move, The National Ballet of Japan welcomed their new and first foreign Prima Ballerina. But, as things would have it, their first year at Shiketsu and as Prima Ballerina did not go as planned. Every student in Japan's lives were put on hold right after the Paranormal Liberation War and with the fight to stop Shigaraki. While [Y/N] had good control over their quirk, they didn’t play a role in fighting in the war, they mostly helped in the sheltering of civilians. 
With the war over and life slowly but surely beginning to go to a sense of normalcy, [Y/N] was finally able to go back to what they loved doing the most, ballet. As much as [Y/N] had become accustomed to the constant Piles, Pirouettes, first, second, and third positions, it was hard for them to get back into the rhythm of things. Their dance instructor never blamed them for making simple mistakes, or slightly tripping when making moves, he knew that with the war and the lack of practice their body wasn’t used to going back to the constant practice and rehearsals. 
Even if their ballet instructor wasn’t frustrated with them, [Y/N] was frustrated with themselves. This was their craft, their lifelong career and dream, the fact they couldn’t land a simple saut de chat was infuriating to them. How was it that in a couple months they were able to just forget everything they had been doing since they were four years old? When did they regress in their abilities? 
Everyday at practice and rehearsals for their company’s production of Notre-Dame de Paris, they kept pushing themselves to get back to where they were originally. It was a constant push and push and push to dance at the level they had been used to, pushing their muscles, feet, legs, and arms to keep up to remember what they knew. Of course dancing with frustration and having tightness in their muscles was never a good sign, because during one rehearsal practice they took a tumble and ended up landing weirdly on both of their ankles after a jump. 
Their instructor told them the same thing he had been telling them the past month, ‘take it easy. You are getting back into the rhythm of things. Take care of your ankles’. The same speech and lecture they had been hearing since the start of the new season. Did they listen? No, [Y/N]  was a teenager who thought they could improve by sheer force and will. And that unfortunately backfired on them greatly. On opening night of the first performance on Notre-Dame de Paris, and their first performance back on the stage, in front of their parents, during their Esmeralda variation that [Y/N] took a fall after the finishing jump, absolutely decimating their ankles. 
The ride to the hospital felt like an eternity to [Y/N], their hearing muffled as the only thing they could look at was their ankles. Bruised beyond belief, showing the damage their fall had done to them, the harm that their frustration and push to dance had caused them. They couldn’t hear the words of their mother or of the paramedics as they talked to them or around them. The only thing they could hear was the screaming thoughts in their head telling them their career was over. 
The arrival to the hospital was a blur. The morphine that the nurses had injected into them made them tired, before everything went black after having anesthesia for their urgent surgery. Due to their untreated ankle twist and the fact that they had been applying pressure on both of them, [Y/N]’s ankles were messed up beyond a point. Their ligaments and tendons had been worn down, making them require surgery to fix them. Thankfully everything went well, but that meant that [Y/N] would have to undergo physical therapy to even get their ankles back to their full health and back to what they were if they wanted to go back to dancing. 
The lecture they had gotten from their parents was justified. It was reckless of them to not take care of themselves, to allow themselves to become so frustrated they were willing to hurt themselves just to improve. But of course, they could understand the frustration. They were hero’s after all, their careers hanged on the thread of them getting better quickly. In their hospital room, [Y/N] and their parents discussed what would happen now, fully talking about itf they’d go back to dancing or if they’d finally stop. But they weren’t gonna stop, this was their dream. Plus they had a promise to uphold. 
 So they made their first appointment at the Musutafu Physical and Quirk Therapy Clinic. And all they hoped for was that they got better quickly so that they could go back to dancing. 
They arrived an hour early, due to living on the complete other side of the city, since Shiketsu was on the west side they had a long commute to even consider arriving on time. The train ride over was as peaceful as you could call a subway cart. As well as the cab over. When they arrived it was empty, allowing for the receptionist to take the time to explain the charts, documents, and sign-in sheet they had to fill out, that taking up most of their time before their appointment. 
Sitting there in one of the chairs of the waiting room was embarrassing to [Y/N]. Not because they had physical therapy but because of how they could have prevented this if they had just listened. If they had taken the time to rest their weirdly twisted ankles they would have been able to do the full Notre-Dame of Paris show and wouldn't have had to have surgery on their ankles. And so they sat there, with their head hanging low with their cap on their head, their braces on full display, they waited for their appointment time to arrive.
At some point from what they could tell someone new had arrived. They genuinely had no interest in who this person was or even if they were there to have a session like they would, all they wanted was to get it over with and get out as quickly as possible. However, maybe it was their imagination or maybe it really was happening, but as they sat there, looking down at their shoes, they could feel as if someone was glancing at them. Very continuous glances. They had no idea if it was the person who had just entered or if they were making it up. And so they ignored it, continuing to look down at their shoes.
The feeling stopped when the person who had, in fact, arrived went to what they assumed was one of the rooms to have their own session, and soon enough it was their turn as well when their name got called out. [Y/N] had no idea what to expect for their first therapy session and thankfully it was something simple to start. Just some ankle pointing, circling, and some resistance band pulls, some simple exercises to get them used to the motion of using their ankles once again. 
Their session ended early, they chalked it up to needing to start off simple so that they wouldn’t hurt themselves again. Going back to the waiting area, they stood at the reception desk, listening to the nurse at the desk explain how their session would go on from then on, and of course setting up their next appointment Wednesday at the same time. This time, however, they were able to get a glance at the person who had entered the clinic. It was a boy, clearly around their age, with blonde hair and scars. Something about him looked familiar to them, but they could figure out why. 
And so they just chalked it up to probably seeing someone similar to him somewhere and left the clinic to get to the cab waiting for them outside. Having no idea how just their presence at the therapy clinic had impacted the blonde teen.

TO SAY THAT KATSUKI WAS INTRIGUED WAS NOT FAR FROM THE TRUTH. Getting into his mom’s car as he answered the usual questions she asked him after his sessions all he could think about was the teen who had been there as well. Never in his life had he cared so much about someone else, excluding Izuku and All Might, that this was jarring to him. And the fact that he told his own mother about it was even more jarring. He never told the old hag anything like this before. 
To say that his mom wasn’t curious about this person who had captured her son’s attention was a blatant lie. She was intrigued and needed to know who had captured her son’s attention immediately. Katsuki being Katsuki he refused to tell his mom anything. The hag, in his opinion, didn’t need to know anything and telling her was clearly a mistake considering she couldn’t let it go the entire car ride. And couldn’t let it go the next two weeks after she picked him up from his therapy sessions. 
During the course of those two weeks and the sessions Katsuki had, his curiosity for this teen had severely increased as weeks went by. He wanted, no, he needed to know about them. He needed to know why they were even in physical therapy. To say this was just morbid curiosity would be a bold face lie. This kid had an obsession with a person he had no single piece of knowledge about. This was a complete stranger, for christ sake. How was it possible that a random teen was able to capture his intrigue more than any other person he had ever met could. 
Going to his therapy sessions had been something he had started to look forward to, honestly. And that was information no one would be able to get out of him, no matter what. His annoying friends didn’t need to know, his parents didn’t need to question him about this person, and Izuku and All Might clearly didn’t need any form of indication that he was obsessing over a total stranger. And genuinely, he knew just telling them about his ‘obsession’ would either make them make them try and help him or raise concern in their heads. And it was probably the latter. 
Every time he’d show up and he’d see them his mind would go wild. It’d go racing with thoughts and guesses on who they were, what they did to land in physical therapy, what their quirk was, were they a hero in training just like him, did they go to U.A just like him. And apparently the receptionist at the front desk had picked up on it as well, much to his chagrin. 
It was like how he had found them the first time he had seen them when his session had ended. They were at the reception desk, clearly setting up their next appointment, when the receptionist did something. And by that something, he meant, making up a made up policy that required her to look at patient’s faces to make sure it matched their ID. Telling them they had to take off their cap to be able to look. Katsuki knew that was a lie. From the moment he had started there had never been a rule or policy that enforced that at all, but he knew the receptionist was doing this for him by the way she glanced at him. 
Their response of a nonchalant, almost disinterested ‘yeah, sure’ were the first words Katsuki had heard them say in the two weeks he had seen them. He watched as they removed their cap, finally getting a good glimpse at them. Something about seeing their face that made an unknown feeling bloom in Katsuki’s chest. This unknown warmth that he had never felt before. It wasn’t the usual warmth he felt from his quirk, it was different and he couldn’t explain why it was. And so once again, he watched them walk out. 
Standing up at desk, Katsuki listened to the receptionist tell him that since they couldn’t give out any information on them, the most she could do was tell him to look up a website. That website being The National Ballet of Japan’s page. Telling him he'd get the information and answers he had been looking for by searching through it and the dancers in had under its company. 
To say that Katuski went home and didn’t look up what the receptionist had told him would be a lie. In the comfort of his room, he went onto his laptop and looked up the National Ballet of Japan. He scoured the page looking through performances, articles, awards, seasonal tickets, class registration forms, information about the company before stumbling up on the dancers. He scrolled through hundreds of dancers, all of them stemming from the past and the present until he reached a face he clearly recognized. And a face that made that warmth he had felt back at the clinic, spread through his chest once again.

THIS WOULD MARK THE FOURTH WEEK OF [Y/N] PHYSICAL THERAPY SESSIONS. Apparently their plea of wanting these sessions to go by quickly had been heard. Every day for the past week had become the same for them, going to therapy, doing the exercises, and going home to do them once again, all in hopes to better than ankles quicker. This appointment would mark if they would be able to start going back to practice once again. A light practice, as their instructor had told them, a small step into the swimming pool before even attempting to go back on pointe shoes. 
They had thought this session would be normal. Showing up an hour early, doing the sign-in chart and just sitting in silence as they wait for the teen boy to show up and for their appointment to start. But something in their head told them today would be different. And clearly it was. The blonde boy was there before them. Which was odd. What was even more odd was where he was sitting this time.
Usually when they sat in the waiting area, there was a space in between them, the two always leaving an empty chair. However this time, the boy was sitting in that chair. They didn’t want to seem rude and just move one seat over, then again they really didn’t care where he sat, so they just sat down, and didn’t say a word. The waiting area was quiet like it had always been but, once again, today was going to be different. 
“Hey,” a gruff, almost raspy voice called out to them, making them turn their head in the direction it came from. And for the first time since the two of them started attending physical therapy at the same time, [Y/N] AND KATSUKI MADE EYE CONTACT WITH ONE ANOTHER.

AUTHORS NOTE: hello hi! welcome to my first ever ‘x reader’ fanfic that I have fully committed to and actually have written. This is the first ever fic that I have posted to tumblr, more like the first ever piece of content I have ever posted to tumblr and I’m both nervous and cautiously excited about this. this isn’t my first rodeo posting fic's on the internet (we don’t talk about wattpad) but it is the first one I’m actually proud of since I’m no longer writing like how middle school me did back then. all I ask is that y’all don’t burn me at the stake for however long it takes me to put out chapters. I am a college student so my grades come first than this silly little fic. I hope that y’all enjoy this piece of fiction that I’ve written and I’ll be back whenever chapter two is ready. buh-bye!
P.S: it was while editing and talking to friends that I decided to make this a ‘universe’/ connected story series. whenever this series is over and fully completed (re-edited at some point because i’m never happy with end products) i’ll announce the next one. so stay tuned for that.

Support class
Izuku is quite happy in support class; when he was a child and found out he was quirkless he thought he wasn't going to be able to enter UA. Now he's in support class and if he's being honest, he absolutely loves it; he's really excited whenever someone comes to him or sends their suits to the lab for Izuku to repair them or improve them.
Although he always manages to convince them to improve them.
Hatsume is one of his friends and she and Izuku are constantly trying to come up with different kinds of gear for the students in the hero courses.
It's true, they have made a couple of things explode and some of their classmates get slightly nervous when they're around, but they have managed to learn a lot from their own mistakes.
Usually, the students from class A and B send their suits, except for Iida, Yaoyorozu and Monoma (although he's certainly a pain in the ass) and the first two are always very nice to Izuku.
Since their work means their clothes are constantly getting ruined or tainted with grease, the professors are more willing to let them wear different kind of clothes.
Izuku prefers to wear thank tops and tight pants for mobility, although his classmates are constantly saying it's distracting; he doesn't know what they mean by that.
The only problem is that his childhood friend, Bakugo Katsuki, goes to that school too (he's in a hero course) and they didn't part on good terms. Katsuki started to be mean to Izuku in front of his other friends, but at the same time got upset when Izuku decided not to speak to him anymore.
However, Bakugo doesn't visit the lab often and when he does, Izuku is conveniently elsewhere. Besides, they say he usually goes there to complain about his suit.
Izuku doesn't touch his suit, although if he's being honest, he'd love to because he has a lot of ideas for it.
One day, Hatsume is not there, and Izuku's classmates forget to tell him about the explosive boy. He stomps his way inside the lab, followed by a very embarrassed Iida.
"Oi, you nerd!"
"His name is Midoriya!" Iida starts moving his arm up and down, scolding his classmate.
"Hah? Midoriya?"
There's no point in hoping he doesn't recognize his last name, because Izuku is tired of hiding. He turns around and pushes his safety goggles up.
"How can I help you?"
The moment their eyes meet the scowl disappears from Bakugo's face; he can't hide the surprise on his face.
"Deku?"
"It's been a while, Kacchan... sorry!" Izuku stammers, blushing to the tip of his ears for his own mistake. "I mean... Bakugo!"
"No!" The blond says immediately, startling Izuku. "I'm sorry... I mean... I don't mind the nickname, you can call me Kacchan if you want."
"Oh," honestly, this Baku–Katsuki is quite different from the child version of him Izuku remembers. He's more kind and Izuku likes it.
"Is it okay... no, that was an awful nickname..." Katsuki turns slightly pink and he starts rubbing the back of his neck nervously. Behind him, Iida is watching everything with his jaw dropped. "Can I call you Izuku?"
For some reason, Izuku thinks it'd be weird to hear Katsuki address him by his last name, so he nods, smiling shyly.
"Izuku is fine."
Katsuki smiles, a soft, very subtle smile that makes Izuku grin from ear to ear in return.
Maybe he can have his childhood friend back after all.
"I wanted to... uhh... talk about my hero suit."
"Great! I have a lot of ideas for it!" Izuku says excitedly, walking back inside. "Follow me! Oh, I'll be with you in a moment, Iida!"
They become friends again; Katsuki goes to the lab almost every single day and although Izuku's classmates don't like it that much, they can't kick him out either.
Then, more students from class A start visiting the lab, too, instead of just sending their suits.
"Midoriya! Who's Midoriya?" A pink girl asks one day, followed by a guy with bright red hair, one with yellow hair and a brown haired girl.
"Mina, stop!" The other girl grabs one of the girl's sleeves to pull her back outside.
"What? Don't tell me you're not curious about the guy who clearly tamed Blasty?"
Turning slightly pink, Izuku walks towards the group that looks back at him in awe.
"I don't think tamed is the right word," he mumbles. "I'm Kacchan's friend."
"Kacchan?" The one with yellow hair chuckles at the word. "Do you always call him by that cute name and he doesn't explode your face?"
"Why would he do that? Kacchan is very kind and gentle."
"WHAT?"
Izuku doesn't understand their shocked reactions, but he's glad they seem to get over it quickly and they introduce themselves.
"Wait here," Uraraka says then, as the others finally begin to ask questions about gear. Izuku is honestly very happy about the change of topic. "I need you to meet someone. I'll be right back!"
Todoroki turns out to be a very shy boy; he introduces himself to Izuku, but after that he doesn't say much.
He just stares at him.
Then, when Izuku is telling everyone he'd be happy to discuss modifications and new designs for their hero suits, Todoroki suddenly blurts out:
"You're cute."
"Oi, all of you, BACK OFF!"
Katsuki storms in the lab, growls at his own classmates and then moves Izuku behind himself. Which is honestly, ridiculous, it's not like they're dangerous or anything; Izuku has no idea what he's so worried about.
"It's okay, Kacchan!" Izuku smiles, putting a hand on the blond's shoulder. "Your friends are really nice! I like them!"
"I like you too, Midoriya."
"SHUT IT, HALF AND HALF!"
Turns out Katsuki can be grumpy and loud like he was when they were kids, although he doesn't actually hurt his classmates; he just has that kind of personality. They're used to it.
Although it seems he's extremely careful and soft with Izuku in particular, according to what Ashido and Uraraka tell him later.
Maybe it's because he still feels guilty about his behavior when they were kids.
Izuku can't find another explanation for it.

It seems Katsuki likes to watch him work because he always stays with him at the lab, whenever he has free time. At first it made Izuku really flustered to have Katsuki's staring at him intensely, but he has gotten used to it.
He comes running whenever he finds out there's been an explosion in the lab and always looks for Izuku first.
"Are you alright, Izuku?" He usually pulls the green haired boy into his arms first before making sure he isn't hurt.
"I'm fine, Kacchan! Look!" Izuku pushes a button on his new belt and an invisible shield activates around him. "See?"
Katsuki blinks a couple of times, fascinated. He tries to press his palm against Izuku, but he can't touch his skin.
"Where did you get this?" He asks, still surprised. Although he asks Izuku to deactivate it because Katsuki likes to touch him.
"I made them!" Izuku says happily. "For myself and my classmates!"
Katsuki blushes to the tip of his ears and pulls Izuku into another hug again.
"You're way out of my league, huh?"
"What?"
"It seems you really are a nerd!" Katsuki clears his throat, cheeks still pink. He doesn't repeat those words and Izuku is not sure he actually heard right, so he doesn't ask again. "Let's get lunch together..."

When Izuku wins a contest with one of his suit designs, Katsuki is the first one to congratulate him. He buys Izuku flowers and takes him to a cafeteria to celebrate.
They hang out with class A a lot, although Katsuki likes to spend time with Izuku alone.
When they start training together (Izuku uses a special suit he designed for himself) and sees Katsuki shirtless for the first time, Izuku realizes that he doesn't see Katsuki as a friend anymore.
He panics and starts avoiding him as a result; suddenly Izuku needs to focus on his work and needs to be alone, no, he can't hang out with Katsuki because there's no time for it.
However, Katsuki knows him too well and he realizes something's wrong right away; so despite all the negatives, he goes back to the lab and decides to confront Izuku.
Hatsume, because she's actually a traitor, leaves them alone.
At first it looks like Katsuki is pissed and is about to yell at him, but the blond just sighs and turns his head up, looking hurt.
"What did I do?"
"What?"
"Please..." Katsuki almost never uses that word, but he looks desperate and in pain. Izuku hates to see him like that: "Tell me what I did wrong... why don't you want to spend time with me anymore?"
Izuku hurt him. And that's the last thing he wanted.
It's time to stop being a coward.
"You did nothing wrong, Kacchan," Izuku assures him, grabbing his own arm in order to give himself courage. "It's... I realized I had a crush on you and I didn't know how to deal with it. I'm sorry. It's alright if you're uncomfortable, I unders–"
Katsuki kisses him on the lips before he can finish. Then, before Izuku can even say anything, he presses their foreheads together and stares into his eyes.
"Crush?" Katsuki chuckles, amused. "I win, nerd. Because I'm in love with you. I have been for a while now."
Izuku's face will stay permanently red at this point. He blinks, part of him thinking that he's dreaming.
"Would you go on a date with me, Izuku?"
Not trusting his own voice, Izuku nods, before kissing Katsuki back. Hatsume comes back in and clears her throat, reminding Izuku they have a lot of work to do.
It's alright, Izuku can kiss his boyfriend later.

No, but here, let me explain:
Izuku and Katsuki became roommates right after graduation. Since Izuku had just confirmed he was quirkless again, he straightaway looked for colleges to study and made it. While Katsuki, already working at a hero agency, had started his patrolling schedules. So life became complicated like that.
Izuku would go to class and study until late hours. Sometimes, he would see Kacchan, and the blonde would tell him about the villains and aspects of the job while they had dinner. It was surprising how much Kacchan shared, almost as if he wanted Izuku to feel part of each experience.
However, as time went by, and Izuku graduated and started looking for a job, he noticed Kacchan taking over time hours. At first, he didn't really think much about it, then their days off wouldn't match, and they won't see each other for weeks.
Izuku knows they're still sharing an apartment cause he can see Katsuki's activity in the place. Clothes in different places, laundry baskets, either full or recently cleared, freshly washed plates, food prepared in the stove in what looked like a rush or neatly prepared dinner plates in the fridge with a note for him. Of course, he did his part of the work, and even though it felt like he lived with some sort of workaholic ghost, everything was fine.
He often found some other things, like bandages and medicines that he didn't knew his best friend was taking, clothes with blood stains and a few times, hospital papers that attested his childhood friend had been out of commission for something or other. He was sure to leave a note expressing his concern and will to help if needed.
There were times when Katsuki had been asked to take vacations, so Izuku would either find him there and chat or come home to a note that he would be out for a few days. He never asked more. Their lives were good, his job at UA was great, so he couldn't really complain.
Sometimes, when they coincided and had time to spend together, Izuku would tell him about his students and their quirks. Kacchan would sit there listening and making small comments or questions, but some other he would look at Izuku with a furrowed brow.
This made him nervous, was Kacchan upset with him about something, was he tired of his stories, was he probably thinking of changing their living situation?
Izuku wouldn't blame him. He had become a loner. His only company was his students and fellow teachers, so he could understand the lack of interest since his best friend probably had better and most interesting things to share.
Friend gatherings were rare but precious, Izuku wished they would happen more often, but that was life. He had some friends from college, but they were as busy as him and didn't share his interest on heros. He had not had a romantic partner either in all that time but had heard most of his friends from UA had.
He often worried, though, about their bad experiences and if his roommate would ever introduce someone to him, but Kacchan's work pace had not changed in years, he could remember him saying he was going to be rich when they were younger, but up to this point he considered his friend was not living up to those expectations. They had graduated several years ago, if Katsuki wanted to move on his own or buy a car or something, surely with his savings and over time hours he would have been able to do that by now.
So when All Might came to visit him from a trip to the US and gave him a suitcase with a support gear armor, he couldn't believe it. Much less that all his friends, but especially Kacchan, had done this for him.
He went to the dressing room and changed, feeling excited about using it and unable to stop the waterfall of tears coming from his eyes. He tried to calm down and breathed in before activating the suit.
When it did, he noticed how most of the armor was built in a way that fitted him perfectly and how it incorporated part of the moves he had developed with OFA. Then he heard a click...
There was some noise, and suddenly...
"Team, please, welcome back our hero, Deku! The nerd is now able to help us in the field..."
Kacchan's voice said over a small microphone built near his collarbone on the suit.
Many voices he could recognize were heard with a cheer and salutation. The Kacchan said he was going to find him at UA, and he must be ready by then. Once that was confirmed, Hawks gave instructions and deployed Deku and Dynamight to help. It was Izuku's best day in a while!
At night, when he finally landed on his doorstep with Kacchan behind him, he was unable to keep it in anymore and broke down crying. He asked Kacchan about the suit, about the costs, about everything that led to this day.
"Well, if we were going to do this for the rest of our lives, you had to be able to keep up nerd!" Was all Katsuki said before they entered their apartment.
Izuku still wanted to know why he had gone to such lengths. Wasn't he supposed to reach No.1? Wasn't he supposed to become popular, marry some lucky person, and be victorious and happy ever after?
"And who do you think I want to do all that with? I need you there every step of the way Izuku. Or do you think i would have spent all this time doing this for anyone else?"
Things got a bit awkward after that, what with Izuku being oblivious to Kacchan's perspective of the future... a future with him, and not only as hero partners.
Izuku still gave lectures to his students and also some villains from time to time, but mostly alongside his lifetime hero partner, his best friend, and everything else: Kacchan.

It was a quaint, idle afternoon, although Midoriya Izuku was as busy as ever.
Being the former no.1 hero's protégé, being the weilder of One for All, being a dutiful student of the most prestigious academy of Japan, being a good son, being a supportive friend, a wonderful partner, a-
Good babysitter?
Yes there was a lot to be, but being a babysitter was really asking too much of him.
Our pure, sweet and innocent boy might be good with kids in general, but he was not made to handle little gremlins with short fuses.
But alas, to be the future no.1 hero of the country, you should be ready to face each and every challenge thrown at you.
Or that's what he kept telling himself.
Because right now, a little gremlin had been pulling at his curls for god knows how long.
And this little gremlin was his adorable s/o...
It all started when he had comeback to his room being left in shambles with a little toddler claiming their throne at it's centre.
"U-ummm"
"W-W-Whoooo a-are youuu??!!"
What is an adorable kid doing in his room? How are they even in his room? Isn't UA supposed to have top-tier security? Why is-
"I'M Y/N!!"
This was enough for his instincts to take over his next movements as he immediately picked you up and full-cowled to Aizawa sensei.
Recovery girl was informed, and following her deductions, he got to know about the duration of three days.
Without further ado, and due to all the qualities mentioned in point number 2, Aizawa immediately put him in charge of his companion.
Which brings us back to the present.
The present where you were running around the common school yard with him chasing after you- because at some point during his conversation with his teachers you had become tired of his curls and had jumped down from his back, ordering requesting him to run and catch you.
The first few minutes he was only trying to humour you to see that adorable grin that you sported.
But this soon wasn't the case anymore since he was now being bested by a literal toddler in terms of running for two hours straight.
This activity was followed by you doing his hair and him doing yours in your room, since his was left in shambles and you wouldn't let him go.
To say you were hyper was an understatement-
And you hadn't even unleashed half of your potential!
At some point, the perplexity of his own precarious situation got to him, leading him to call his mom asking for tips.
Following which he had you strapped on his chest everytime he was busy doing something, he couldn't have you tiring yourself afterall (he didn't have it in him to run after you anymore)
It was pretty alright after your initial tantrums and pulling on his hair, asking to be let down.
You were a somewhat of cuddle bug for him- you slapped everyone's hands away when they tried to touch you, and only permitted him for doing so (he is still very proud of you for doing that).
Want to be entertained? You can swing using his black whips, float around the room with him, the options were endless!- So of course you did everything on the list because why not.
All in all he was a good servant caretaker, you never once cried when he was around and he could keep up with your royal decrees shenanigans.
Of course you would never know that he fantasized about you in his almight onesies
"...Is this the candy that you wanted, Y/N?"
"YEs"
You were pretty pleased with your devoted follower, so being a good ruler, you decided it was best to promise your loyal subject a deserving reward.
"Uh- they said that they've run out of stock for that juice Y/N-san so-"
You interrupted him by giving him a sweet peck on the cheek, as a reward of course-
"Mr. Izukw! I'm gonna marry yu in the fwuture!"
"..umM..."

"...- so the kis- I MEAN THE CANDY- NO JUICE-JUICE-"
You child form wasn't enough to keep him from blushing till his ear tips.
He pulled on his bangs to keep you from seeing his red face.

(In which I spiral down a rabbit hole with Midoriya that has little to do with @codenamesazanka 's original post that started this (x).  FYI I sorta separated Deku/Izuku to indicate Deku as the hero and Izuku as the person outside of heroics.)
I started thinking about this post again (see the link above) and how Deku doesn’t really understand that non-perfect or sanitized victims exist AND still need to be saved and not by destruction. (The "maybe killing someone does save them" thing is a great way to assuage guilt but it's a stupid copout.)  Deku (hero) and more importantly Izuku (person) doesn’t really understand that though because he WAS a “perfect” victim.  Midoriya stayed quiet and inconspicuous and didn’t make a fuss about the bullying or discrimination he faced, he just kept his head down and hoped that something would change without any real effort on his part.  And if he had died as a result from the bullying he would’ve been hailed as an unfortunate victim (of who? or what? Don’t worry - isn’t his death so tragic? oh well now on to our next news story -), so any critique of society and the individuals who reinforce the status quo don’t actually have to do anything.  I know there’s more nuance here and lot of cultural things happening with this all but I’m not gonna dig into that right now.
Moving on!  Quite frankly the boy didn’t live long enough to get out of his childish mindset and get some “righteous" anger at the wrongdoings and failings of society.  All Might came along when he was still starry eyed and hopeful to lift Midoriya out of the trajectory of his life and Izuku never had any time to get to the point where he comes to terms with the hurt caused society’s rejection of his self and get angry about it.  As such, he can’t understand the league.  It probably doesn’t even occur to him that he's missing that understanding because for him it worked out - he got the attention and support to be able to escape the circumstances of his birth/quirklessness and to leave the box (deku) that society shoved him in. Twice and Toga never had that support – they both lived how they needed to in order to survive in a world not meant for them until they broke down.  (Maybe that's why Vigilante Deku AUs were so popular back in the day - they speedran Midoriya past the hopeful kid stage and to a point where a lot of the fanbase was in their own lives - seeing the issues in the world and wanting to affect change.)
Izuku, for all that he claims to want to connect to the villains, hasn’t given enough thought or empathy to understand how continuing to live a life where you don’t fit in with society can be deeply hurtful as well as the emotional repercussions of having unchangeable parts about yourself be reviled.  This isn’t to say Izuku had it easy -  of course Izuku went through hardships but.... there’s a big difference between living through stuff as a kid and finding a way out of it vs living through that, growing up, maturing, and in turn looking critically at society.  But I can’t bring myself to fault Midoriya for those exact reasons because he's just a kid. He doesn’t have the perspective to see outside of himself – at least not for the villains.  Because that seems to be too far of a stretch for him?  But Todoroki was close enough to Izuku’s mindset for him to help back in the sports festival arc.  I also acknowledge that he's a teenager and IS capable of critical thinking, but from what we've seen, his schools have never actually made the students examine the world they live in - which is a different skill from quirk analysis or historical or literary analysis or the various writing exercises that students go through. 
(Believe me – you can have the brightest kid but, most of the time, unless you point out the shortcomings of their mindsets, it won’t occur to them to look further.  (Not necessarily assuming that they’re wrong, but rather that their consideration of life is not as expansive as it should be. Especially for a kid wanting to be the greatest hero and save everyone.)  For example: many abled bodied people don’t realize how inaccessible places can be until someone brings it up to them or they find themselves in that situation (like a temporary crutch or wheelchair).  It’s through no fault of the able bodied person that they weren’t aware enough to consider it in the first place, but what they do once they realize physical accessibility is an issue, is on them.)  Back to the point – hero society never calls attention to it’s own shortcomings despite the proof quite obviously existing and the people within society don’t seem to spare much thought either. The adults who have seen more of these instances are then of course more culpable in this than the kids who haven't.
So, Midoriya was also failed by society (cough all might cough) as well, but he chose the hero path - to save people. We see him starting to consider the deeper issues in his talk with Uraraka, and the few times he “tries” to talk to various villains shows that he is aware enough of underlying issues - which makes it his duty as a hero to do something about it.  In that way, he is at fault. He chose a profession to devote his life to that should require this of him.  And through his hero work, Midoriya has seen the problems in society and yet he’s chosen to turn away from them (and by problems/them I’m referring to the villains “too far gone to save” and the issues they represent). 
(Sorry Midoriya, but considering we’re nearing the end and you haven’t shown any growth in this area….. I am faulting you for metaphorically pushing your head in the sand.  I do want to be wrong though.  I really want the kid to prove me wrong.)
And he’s able to turn away from them guilt free, in part, because he’s gotten the proverbial thumbs up by his classmates that it’s ok and that they’ll just be better and be model minority heroes and that will fix the problem! Because they’re positive representation!  Or something?  If you can put your mind to it that will fix things! Just try harder! Again, very idealistic but they are kids, so it comes with the territory.  (Horikoshi didn’t have to make them unquestionably right in that approach though.  Toga and Uraraka coming together for the win! The Shoji and Spinner match up not so much.)
Overall, there’s something about how Deku still fit into society's boxes in an acceptable way and never truly faced what existing outside of "acceptability" was like.  Don’t get me wrong it’s tough to live in the mha world as a quirkless person and of course it has its problems and restrictions, but that’s still a box that society provides for, even if the society in question doesn’t like it. 
And I'm not saying that Izuku had to live through a terrible life to understand the villains!  Just that, he has the capacity to look outside himself and be empathetic, but the application of it is lacking, despite knowing there’s problems, despite having LIVED with some of those problems. Extrapolate, boy!!!! You don't need empathy to reach out to others but the whole compassionate/kind Midoriya thing has been touted since the beginning! So I want to see it!
(Not sure how much sense this will make to people, but there’s a maturity that comes about with either time or certain circumstances that can be hard to grasp unless you’ve lived through it.  And quite frankly, Midoriya hasn’t. He went from a perfect/acceptable victim to the top tier of society (heroes).)
(Basically: Midoriya never **matured in the restrictive environment he grew up in and can't emotionally connect with the league who did, because of that. Instead he seems to have internalized the "if they were better" or "if they were truly good" then there wouldn't be a problem because just look at his classmater!, so villains being villains is their own fault and no one else is culpable.)
**centers on the idea that someone starts off as hopeful in regards to their discriminated position in life and over time matures to understand how society supports that discrimination and come to terms with the hurt that it's caused them personally (and in this case to fight back against it)

Summary: Izuku's been hiding a secret for years. Ever since he touched a bug and it came back. Ever since he woke up in a hospital with his mother crying.
Standing above the body of All Might, he has to make a choice. He does.
He won't let himself regret it.

Izuku couldn't move. His feet felt like they'd grown roots into the ground, anchoring him to the spot. He stood there, shaking, as he stared at the choking form of All Might. The man was on the ground, a hand clutching at the rebar that had been shoved through him.
 “What a pity,” the villain, All for One, said with a sigh. “I’d hoped for more of a challenge.”
 The laughter from the other villains rang in Izuku’s ears as he stumbled to the number one hero.
 All Might’s breath was coming slower. His eyes were glazing over. He was dying.
 Dying because of Izuku.
 Ever since Izuku got into the hero course, using nothing but a sign he’d pried loose during the entrance exam, All Might had supported him. Sure, the man admitted he thought Izuku would end up failing in the beginning but Izuku hadn’t. All Might had supported him chasing his dreams when few others did. He’d gone on public record saying he supported the Quirkless hero student, and it caused half the people against Izuku to support him.
 It hurt when All Might said he had thought Izuku would wash out, but then the man said he’d hoped the teen wouldn't. Izuku was introduced to a secret from the hero about his Quirk and why the man felt so vindicated that Izuku was clawing his way into heroics.
 It made Izuku feel so guilty, knowing he was lying.
 But he’d hidden it for so long…
 Staring at the dying hero, Izuku knew. He knew that he couldn't keep it a secret anymore. Not now.
 Izuku stayed next to All Might, the man grimacing as he removed the pole through him. Izuku didn't know why.
 No, he did. It's better to bleed out fast than not.
 Izuku reached out to hold the man’s hand as he died, and the hero's gloves felt slimy as he grasped them. Izuku barely heard the laughter of the villains behind him or the whirl of the media drones hovering over them. Instead, Izuku removed the jacket he'd been wearing, moving to cover the wound in All Might’s chest. As he did, he also brushed the man’s neck.
 Light came back to his eyes, and pure luck let Izuku block his harsh breath as the wound knitted itself back together in a second.
 “Don’t move,” Izuku said under his breath. “Don’t touch my skin either. I'm sorry for lying.”
The internal timer Izuku had for his Quirk was ticking—five minutes. He had to stall and then have All Might move.
 It was enough.
 Izuku stood up and turned to the villains. He stared at these people who decided to attack children and threw around phrases like ‘hero society is a failure’ or ‘you could be something better’ or ‘they don’t understand you, do they?’ These people saw the darkness of society and decided to make it worse by harming others.
 These people didn’t care that they hurt people as long as they got what they wanted.
 “I’ve been lying for a long time,” Izuku stated conversationally. He began walking towards the villains, his hands going to drag out the weapons they hadn't bothered taking off him. The mocking looks the villains had to see him pull out the Escrima sticks made Izuku want to laugh. Going on about being better than hero society, only for them to not see him as a threat.
 “Oh?” Shigaraki looked curious. “So you do hate hero society?” Izuku rolled his eyes, wondering how the villain kept going on about it. Yeah, it wasn't a lie—Izuku sure as hell didn’t like the current hero society, but as he’d told Stain, most people were aware of the problems; it was just hard to make a move.
 “When I was five, I found a dead cat. It was beaten by a group of teenagers for a laugh. My mom scared them away, and I touched the cat. All its wounds healed, and it sat up. Then I touched it again, the wounds came back, and it died,” Izuku said. His hands felt clammy. He’d never spoken about this before. He never dared voice the words hidden in his mind.
 Only his mother knew.
 “An illusion, Quirk,” All for One said. Izuku chuckled as he kept walking.
 “Oh, my mom thought so. It’s happened, someone casting an illusion like that. But I was sure I brought the cat back. I begged to try with bugs, and we did.” Izuku swallowed. “I brought back all the bugs, and they died when I touched them a second time. We also learned of the timer. Five minutes from my touch.”
 All for One hummed, sounding interested. The villains on the ground looked bored and less interested, though. The redheaded woman rolled her eyes, disbelieving. The young blonde girl seemed to enjoy the show, bouncing on her toes with a vicious smile.
 “We thought they'd die again. It costs energy for me to bring things back, and as a kid, using it too often made me tired, so Mom insisted I make sure to touch them again. But then, one day, I decided I wanted to see what would happen. She let me.” Izuku took a shuddering breath. “Another bug died after the five minutes was over. But the bug I brought back lived. Until I touched it against, but the other bug stayed dead.”
 Izuku kept walking. He could tell All for One didn't know what he was leading to. The villains looked bored and unbelieving, except for one with burn scars held on with staples. His eyes were wide, and he looked at All Might, who luckily seemed to be keeping still.
 “We tested it a bit. I can, in fact, control who is affected as long as they're in my eyesight.” Izuku swallowed. “We didn't tell anyone. Mom was terrified of it, and I at first didn't understand until I saw a news report about a girl being kidnapped for her Quirk. I understood then. So I kept quiet.”
 “Oh yeah, sure,” snorted the lizard guy, Spinner Izuku thought his name was. “You were scared people could find out you can raise dead animals.”
 “It takes energy. A lot of energy. When my mom died, my father’s doing. He tried to burn our apartment down, and Mom breathed in too much smoke; when she died, I touched her hand. Passed out and woke up two hours later in the hospital.” Izuku took a shuddering breath. “Mom was alive, but a woman her age had died from smoke inhalation despite not being near the fire. A freak accident or maybe something else, they said. We knew.” Izuku stopped walking. He smiled. “It's been three and a half minutes,” he flipped the sticks in his hands. “Wanna take some potshots, All Might?” Izuku knelt, jabbing the weapons into the ground as the hero stood up. The jacket fell away to reveal a ruined hero suit but a healed chest just as the hero launched a low-level punch, causing air to rush at the villains.
 Izuku barely held onto the Escrima sticks, clutching them tightly.
 “Young Midoriya-“ All Might began, but the crackle of ice caused Izuku to spot Todoroki, creating a smooth ice bridge that ran right past Izuku. The sound of engines echoed as Iida ran across it, Uraraka holding onto him as she offered a hand to Izuku. He grabbed it as Shigaraki screamed,
 “Get the brat!”
 “I have to stay in eyesight of the villain!” Izuku shouted to his friends as he was dragged along by Iida, weightless thanks to Uraraka. She looked at him with pained eyes.
 She knew. She knew what he was doing.
 “Okay!” she called back. Iida swallowed but nodded. Both knew what this meant.
 Izuku was killing someone. He was choosing to do so.
 Neither could articulate how they felt, but they knew it was a possibility. After the USJ, a special class discussed how sometimes heroes were put into a compromising situation and how sometimes they would have two choices: life or death.
 Izuku wasn't sure if this counted. He thought so, given that it was All for One, the boogeyman of stories. But he didn't know if they would let it slide.
 “It is alright, Tomura,” All for One laughed darkly. “I doubt such a mere boy can kill me. Leave, and let me handle this,” he ordered.
 Izuku didn't know if the guy was just arrogant or if he had a trick up his sleeve. As his friends spirited him away, Mt Lady knelt to offer her hand, letting the teens grab on so she could lift them to put on a roof. Her face was grim as she looked at Izuku.
 She knew, too.
 Every hero on the battlefield knew. Izuku could feel it. He saw how Best Jeanist’s face pulled hard into itself, his eyebrows pinching together. How Gran Torino hit harder.
 They all knew what Izuku was about to do.
 Izuku stood on the roof watching as the fight went on, his timer counting down. Any… one, two-
 All for One dropped to his knees. His hand went to his chest.
 “What?!” the man choked. “No! My- NO-” he fell over, and Izuku closed his eyes.
 He’d just killed someone.
 He didn't fully regret it.

Notes on this AU:
-Izuku is touch starved. Since Inko can't touch his skin without dying, they don't often hug or anything. They have to take a lot of precautions.
-Inko has a lot of guilt over the death of the woman. She doesn't talk about it but she sometimes wonders what if she'd touched Izuku while he was unconscious to save the other woman’s life. She feels terrible about it.
-All Might supported Izuku partly because it was the right thing, partly because Izuku proved himself and partly out of spite. ‘Remember when you assholes said a Quirkless person can’t be a hero? Here he is.’
-Aizawa did not fully support Izuku at first. He was actually going to expel him to ‘show the world is against him before letting him back in,’ but Nezu hacked the machine to give correct points, proving Izuku was 11th out of the whole class. Nezu also sent a message stating, ‘Quirkism is not welcome, as you know.’ This threw Aizawa off his game, and when he confronted Nezu, the principal ripped apart any argument by rephrasing it as Aizawa’s old naysayers did. Drove it home for Aizawa. He is now in therapy and a much better teacher.
-Bakugou is currently suspended. Aizawa, with therapy, isn't as expulsion-happy. (I also refuse to believe that he leaves the black marks on their records because, oh god, wtf is that dude.) Also, Bakugou has been toeing the line until his final exam, when, like canon, he smacks Izuku, which is an instant fail for the blonde. He tries to attack Izuku and is now suspended. They're debating about full expulsion, but it's a mess.
-Of 1A, only Hagakure was firmly against Izuku. Aizawa did move the lowest-scoring member to Gen Ed for a week, and it was her. She was pissed off. She has always struggled with being invisible and comforted herself with the idea that at least she was useful, unlike Quirkless people. Ultimately, they had to swap her for a 1B member because she kept harassing Izuku. She is in therapy and on a tight leash.
-IDK who swapped with her. Monoma maybe.
-The only reason Bakugou and Hagakure weren't expelled is that it's actually more challenging to get expelled from the Hero course than you think. Aizawa may scare them, but with how much UA relies on its reputation, the board is super leery of expelling anyone. That being said, Bakugou, with his history of physical assault, is closer than Hagakure, who was verbal. Plus, she is actually doing alright in therapy compared to Bakugou.
-Izuku is best friends with Uraraka and Iida.
-Bakugou wasn't at the USJ. He had been temporarily suspended for a few days after the Battle Trials and would have gone with 1B instead, but the attack happened. Due to this, Kirishima never latched onto him. Instead, Kirishima is best friends with Tododoki and helps Izuku get him to use his fire.
-Bakugou’s Quirk and aggression are why he’s still in 1A, and no one wanted to remove Izuku from his support.
-Uraraka won the sports festival -AFO was arrogant enough to think his healing and durability Quirks would keep him alive. However, Izuku’s Quirk doesn't swap the wounds. What it does is trade lives. All Might died, and there must be another death to balance it. So, AFO didn't stand a chance.

fic idea I'll never write because it has too many fight scenes and I'm bad at those soooooo
quirkless Izuku Midoriya in the support class, approaching every hero student before the sports festival, offering his skills as a quirk analyst to help them prepare, starting everyone off with a free sample of advice to entice them into the deal
with a caveat
he is going to be fighting in the sports festival too, so if they agree to let him coach them, they will be giving him a leg up on them as he will know all their strengths and weaknesses, but coaching them in private means that none of the other students will be aware of their new moves
his talent as an analyst and strategist are already well known at the school, to the point that teachers sometimes even consult him, and he takes tea with Nedzu twice a week, he's scary smart
but he's quirkless,
the hero students think giving him an advantage is just going to even the playing field right? it's only fair to give him a fighting chance, some students agree just for that reason alone, he's so passionate, it would be such a shame to see him crash and burn right at the start
they mean well, they truly do
there are only two and half hero students who don't take him up on his offer
one being Bakugo, because Midoriya knew better than to even bother offering, partly due to his pride and ego, partly because Midoriya was already extremely familiar with Bakugo's quirk, but also because Bakugo knows damn well it's a fool's deal and he's already told off everyone in his class for being dumb enough to accept it
one being Monoma, who took one look at the situation at hand and laughed in Midoriya's face, surprisingly this wasn't due to any amount of pride, quite the opposite, Monoma did not underestimate him for being quirkless, as someone who had to spend half his time fighting quirkless himself he was well aware that Midoriya was just as much a threat as everyone else and Monoma would treat him as such
the half being Todoroki, who in the process of taking Midoriya's advice on how to exert more fine control over his ice, and then realising he's doing the same for almost every other student in his class, realised exactly how much of a threat this quirkless boy actually imposed, and then realised that if he wanted to have any chance of taking him unawares he might be forced to use his fire, as it's the only part of his quirk Midoriya had absolutely zero knowledge of, in fact it was one of the few quirks left in the whole hero course that Midoriya had no knowledge of
at the sports festival Midoriya shows up carrying several cases of support gear, he's been cleared by the teachers to be allowed one support item in each match on the condition that it was made by a support student in his yeargroup and that he was at least somewhat involved in its design and creation (powerloader was in charge of observing this process to ensure he met the guidelines and grew a few new grey hairs because of course their most terrifying analyst teamed up with his most terrifying engineer)
Midoriya chooses not to use any of his support gear in the team challenges, he wants to show that he belongs here on his own merits, to prove that he can make it using nothing but his own hard work and ingenuity
it's the one on one fights he utilises his support gear
Midoriya calculated which students were most likely to make it into the 1v1 rounds and prepared a customised support item to fight each of them, taking full advantage of every weakness he'd unearthed during his coaching sessions
he doesn't use any gear in his fight with Shinsou however, he wasn't from the hero course so Midoriya didn't offer to train him (Shinsou had as much to prove as Midoriya did and he had no intentions of getting in the way of that, and Shinsou would have turned him down regardless) but he had a vague enough idea of what his quirk was so their fight would essentially be nothing more than a quirkless brawl
it's a close call but where Shinsou's attention was split between fighting and trying to get a reaction from his shit talking, Midoriya was focused 100% on nothing but the fight, despite it being easy low hanging fruit Shinsou never uses Midoriya's quirklessness to bait him into responding, not wanting to stoop that low
his fight with Todoroki is intense, but with heat based support gear he's able to get through Todoroki's defences
Midoriya didn't get the Todoroki Family Traumadump in this universe so instead of a 'your quirk not his' speech we get a 'don't hold back on me they will jump at any opportunity to blame my success on someone else because I'm quirkless, I want everyone to know I won because I worked the hardest for it' speech
Todoroki ends up backed into a corner and forced to use his fire, unfortunately for him Midoriya was not only prepared to go up against his fire, he also built an entire strategy around Todoroki's poor control over it, it's close but in the end he's able to manoeuvre Todoroki out of bounds by using the fire to obscure the boundary line, and he wins the fight
Midoriya ends up facing Bakugo in the final round, to start with Bakugo is absolutely fuming at the fact that Midoriya made it this far, he is even extra pissed off when Midoriya states the only support gear he'll be using in this fight is leg gear to help him manoeuvre around, not even using an offensive weapon
Midoriya uses every little piece of knowledge he has on Bakugo to predict his movements and attacks, but Bakugo had been training privately specifically to avoid Midoriya seeing his progress (as much as he shit talked Midoriya for being quirkless he knew damn well that he was a genuine threat, even if he wouldn't admit it), but Bakugo had never seen Midoriya fight before today, with no edge over him strategically other than what he had learned from watching the previous fights, which helped little due to Midoriya's fighting style shifting with each opponent
it's a brutal, long drawn out battle, but Midoriya's close familiarity with Bakugo's quirk gives him an advantage Bakugo just can't catch up with, Midoriya mostly uses Bakugo's own quirk against him, eventually baiting him into pulling off a bigger than necessary blast with enough kickback to throw him in the air and then takes advantage of the uncontrolled momentum to throw him out of bounds, taking a risk and falling close to losing his own footing on the boundary line in the process
Midoriya wins the sports festival by a hair, securing a future seat into the hero course
Bakugo is actually really humbled by the experience, he has to go through a whole process of rebooting his brain to figure out how to feel about the whole thing, he wants to be pissed off but Midoriya had fought him with every ounce of strength and tenacity he had, it was more of a challenge than any of his own classmates had given him, he'd done everything in his power to beat this kid down their whole lives and instead Midoriya had taken that and turned it into fuel to prove him and everyone else wrong
Bakugo stops calling him Deku after that, saying the name just doesn't suit him anymore, Midoriya says that it never suited him, but it's nice that Bakugo is finally catching on
when Midoriya is eventually moved into the class, a couple of the students are a little pissed about the underhanded way he went about the whole thing, feeling as though he had kinda misled them and taken advantage of them trying to be nice to him by giving him an extra edge in the competition
Midoriya points out that he had been very transparent from the start, and that if they had taken him seriously and respected him as an opponent then they never would have taken his deal in the first place, he wasn't taking advantage of their kindness, he was taking advantage of their quirk bias
Aizawa backs Midoriya up by stating that Midoriya had actually cleared this strategy with the teachers to ensure it wasn't breaking any rules, and he was exceptionally disappointed that a majority of his class had fallen for the bait, and that they should take this as a lesson in not underestimating their opponents regardless of their quirks
Midoriya and Bakugo end up working together for more cohesively and make a terrifying duo, eventually even going with matching themed hero names Arsenall and Dynamight (lifting DIRECTLY from this tiktok because it's absolutely fucking genius, except in this universe the name is in reference to the vast variety of support gear he uses rather than the multiple quirks he has)
anyway I made this whole thing as a side effect of an idea where canon Midoriya gets hit by a quirk that pulls alternate timeline versions of himself into his world and Arsenall was one of them, there was also a guerilla journalist/vigilante Midoriya called Rabbit who I might also make a post of because I actually had the outline of an entire fic about him mentally noted down at one point so he is way more fleshed out
the other two versions didn't have super fleshed out stories but mostly because one was just quirkless Midoriya if he joined the support class but didn't enter the sports festival, and the other was villain Midoriya who is already basically an existing fanon character so I didn't feel the need to flesh him out so much

Still tweaking, I have come to the conclusion that I actually hate most things about mha and it's fandom except it's vigilante/villain/support course deku fics. I hate a lot of the designs , I hate most of the fans, and I HATE the creator. There is no reason for him to be drawing all the female students in pros in revealing outfits while no male characters are designed like that.
Thank you non-existent people who read my 6 am rant, I needed to scream this into the void because the hatred in my bones was making it hard to sleep
Hagakure being completely naked is so unnecessary especially when we know making clothing that adapts to quirks like mirios hero costume. Why isn't she just in a suit that has the ability to turn invisible with her??? Why tf is she completely naked when fighting and no one stops her for her own safety????

Another unnecessarily revealing costume is Momo's, with quirk technology she could 100% have a costume that is someone how infused with her DNA to give her the ability to create thing on the fly and be much safer and effective. Even without that she could have a much more covering outfit for her own safety and dignity.
Minetas existence as a whole should have ever happened.
Onto pros, there's such a clear difference between how the male pros are designed personality and costume wise vs how the female characters are. The female pros are usually shown as sexual in some way along with being passive aggressive towards the other female pros simply because they're competition(that one interview) The overall lack of character depth for the female characters in general is crazy.
So many of the fans are fujoshis and general weirdos over the TEEN characters and I've seen so so many mischarcterizing all the characters to make them look better or worse then they actually are. And ofc my avid bakugo hate, the root of my hate prob comes from the fans due to how they acted back in 2020 and are still acting now. People always try making excuses for his behavior towards others instead of just admitting that he was a horrible asshole at one point but he's had character growth and i can see that but the way people just try to act like it never happened or try to say that izuku doesn't even care about the fact he bullied him is genuinely infuriating. Realistically there is no way that being bullied throughout elementary and middleschool doesn't effect izuku in some way, overall I don't truly hate bakugo but I hate his fans.

Would you be able to write headcanons of Iida, Midoriya, and Bakugo with a nervous and introverted GN Reader who’s a foreign exchange student struggling to learn and speak Japanese properly, like to the point they have to constantly repeat themselves thousands of times slowly for anyone to understand and wanting to learn more? Reader’s got the basics down obviously but ya know, they’ve gotta expand their knowledge on bigger more complex words, slang, etc. Maybe add in a sprinkle of reader being shamed by their peers for their lack of knowledge on Japanese.

It wasn't easy being a foreign exchange student, but as an inspiring hero in the making, you wanted to enroll in one of the best hero training schools and that was none other than Yuuei High. There was a small problem though, you were nervous and a little anti-social, introverted as some may say, and this made communicating that much more difficult.
You were learning Japanese slowly, and as such, you struggled to engage in conversation with others who often snubbed you. Until you met Tenya who initially noticed your struggle with comprehending his language. "Pardon, perhaps I could be of assistance?" He patiently encouraged you to practice pronunciation and grammar. He even went as far as to tutor you and provide you with structured lessons and resources.
He remained gentle and encouraging through your struggles with learning Japanese and offered kind words and praise for the progress you have made. You appreciated the comforting environment he provided and felt as though you could speak to him without fear of judgment.
"Perhaps these will assist you in your attempts at learning various Japanese slang terms, and such," he suggested, placing various books in front of you. While somewhat overwhelming, Tenya suggested that learning the slang terms might help ease your anxiety. He also continued to ensure that making mistakes is essential to the learning process.
While most were respectful of your learning process, there were a few select students who chose to shame you or insult you whenever you attempted to engage in conversation. Tenya, however, was quick to intervene and address the issue firmly as was his duty as Class President and often lectured them on the importance of empathy, understanding, and respecting you as a foreign exchange student.
Tenya continued to celebrate your achievements, especially when he noticed your confidence in the Japanese language rising. "I am quite proud of the resilience and persistence you displayed in overcoming the linguistic barriers you've faced!" Of course, you knew you wouldn't have accomplished what you did without his support and guidance, and hoped he would always be your friend.

Izuku immediately notices your struggles with speaking Japanese, but being the person that he is, tries to approach to help. Although his shyness got the best of him and despite patiently listening and trying to make sense of your words, his face burns red the entire time.
"I c-could try to h-help you...if you w-want, I mean...I've never tutored a-anyone before but um..." He knows that learning a new language takes time and patience, both qualities he possessed and as an aspiring hero, he couldn't just abandon someone he knew needed help.
Since English was one of the courses provided at Yuuei, Izuku decided to make his self-initiated tutoring sessions with you more fair by allowing you to teach him some phrases either in your native tongue or English in hopes that it would provide a supporting and engaging atmosphere and show you that you were not the only one struggling with a foreign language.
Although Izuku had the fierce heart of a hero, he normally avoided starting conflicts with other students, but this went out the door when he witnessed others shaming you for your language struggles. "H-hey! S-stop that, they're still l-learning and..." He'd try to keep a stern demeanor, and while he knew that defending you was the right thing to do, usually he'd drag you away before things escalated.
On more than one occasion, Izuku would stay up with you, engaging in late-night and casual conversation in Japanese to help improve your conversational and social skills. Uraraka and Tenya would always volunteer to help as well and provide pointers to you if needed.
"I m-mean even All Might, v-visited the U-United States and he k-knows some foreign l-language skills so I thought maybe...t-this would help you too." He thought incorporating hero-related terms into your lessons would help give your language goals a more heroic feeling thus giving you the motivation to conquer them.

A growl rumbled in his throat. "Shut the hell up already!" He snapped, making you stumble away from him. He hated it when you constantly repeated yourself. Hell, even he could admit he wasn't the most patient individual, and hearing you repeat word after word, phrase after phrase was irritating.
Despite his annoyance, and the fact that he was one of the few that tended to put you down because of the language barrier between you and him. He wasn't so ignorant as to ignore the determination and effort you put into learning Japanese and frankly, he was kind of impressed. Of course, he'd never admit that.
"That's not how you say that dumbass!" He snapped one day after hearing you, yet again, struggle with a certain phrase when engaging in conversation with someone else and he wasn't hesitant about correcting you as well as listing off other phrases he knew you had trouble with, unintentionally becoming your personal tutor in the process.
You had a lot of textbooks and practice books regarding the Japanese language and when Katsuki looked at them, he was severely disappointed. The books in question were too proper and lacked useful slang that permeated the Japanese language or at least how he spoke it. So, he took the time to teach you said slang terms, but you weren't too sure you'd make use of them.
"Soooo Baku bro! I heard you're giving Y/n language lessons!" Eijirou exclaimed one day, making Katsuki growl in response. "Yeah, what's it like teaching a foreigner anyway?" Kaminari chirped in, not realizing how insensitive he sounded. "Shut the hell up dumbasses!" Katsuki snapped. "That...idiot is putting in more effort than either of you with your damn schoolwork!" Hell, he should know. He had tutored them on occasion as well.
Although you assumed you wouldn't use the slang terms Katsuki taught you, there came a day when you found yourself in an argument with another hero student who happened to be using some foul terms to describe you and your home country. You ended up using every slang term Katsuki had taught you in response and when he learned about this, he felt oddly proud of you.

I do my internship with Miruko and my work studies with my dad (who will be the #3 hero when the time comes around)
I win 1st place in the sports fest (cuz I can)
I get kidnapped with Bakugo during the forest training arc (I might change this honestly)
Endeavor's agency and my dad's agency team up during the work studies arc just to get things done swiftly (they were pretty close during their time at UA and still are)
There's a lot more but I don't really wanna type them out

There always have been dorms at UA and students go home during the weekends or holidays (they keep everyone on campus after the whole kidnapping thing, though)
The final war arc happens in our second year (everyone is a lot stronger at this time. AFO's plan for Shigaraki backfires which makes things a lot easier for us)
Izuku doesn't go vigilante, doesn't lose OFA, and becomes a pro like everyone else
Todoroki doesn't have massive daddy issues (he doesn't deserve the trauma)
The most serious casualty during the war is severe broken limbs (which happens to none of the main cast)
Japanese is a minority language; it is taught in schools and spoken by the senior population, but most people speak English

Now you got me thinking about that too. Based off of everything we know about UA and its staff, how fairly do you think Aoyama was actually treated at UA, especially before the reveal?
This also got me questioning what the students thought of Aoyama in terms of his belt and if there was any student (probably unintentionally) treated him differently or unfairly due to that! Including the non-hero course students.
He was probably mostly overlooked. It didn't take much for Aoyama to start to crack under pressure and start saying bizarre things. If nobody else noticed it, then no one of average intelligence and social skills greater than Izuku's was giving Aoyama any thought.
As for your second question, some portion of the student body likely looked down on him for his reliance on a support item. Mina in the Sports Festival is a good example of this. She believed the Support Course students being able to use their inventions in the Sports Festival was cheating. It's easy to extrapolate what she thought about Aoyama based on that comment. She also went straight for the belt in her matchup with Aoyama...
