So, CONFIRMED: Izuku never gave up on Katsuki because he "chose the heart deep inside"...he knew that Katsuki had good in him and never gave up in that heart.

I mean It was always confirmed since DvK2 when Izuku himself said that if he really hated Katsuki he wouldn't want anything to do with him, but you know, just in case anyone needed it said again.

So listen, there's one episode of Rick n Morty where Rick created a world for beth when she was younger and her little friend or wtv got left there and was forced to repopulate with the creatures and things there and he also ate them or wtv.

Hear me out... hybrids were created bc back in wtv age humans were horny and experimental and they decided to just start having sex with animals or wtv n they ended up ACTUALLY managing to repopulate???? and then like hundreds of years later hybrids become a normal thing in the human world however they still aren't accepted like in the movie zombies?

But reader is like a human and thinks that just because they have ears and tails and extra hair and weird eyes or extra little quirky things about themselves that they're still normal and worthy, so reader lives in the woods and it's not like other humans don't live in hybrid territory but yk they hunt the hybrids and as strong as the by rids are obviously the government is stronger so the hybrids don't fight back when their kin is hunted and killed. So like reader is a friend to all hybrids or at least trying to be but ofc not all are willing to trust reader bc well hybrids have been hurt before.

But izukus cute bunny self is too kind and too welcoming despite almost being eaten by a human that he trusted before. I watched a little short video about how to know whether you want to be like someone else, or be with that person, as a 🍒🍇🍓🍎🍉🍑🍉 person. “imagine you get instantly everything they have that you admire/like about them, but that person disappears completely from your life. You cant interact with them ever again. How are you feeling about it?” its not that it makes you happy that they are not part of your life, or that missing them means you are in love -what matters is, does it make you happier to have those things and traits yourself even when missing the other person?

I think its relevant for togachako -Himiko hates parts of herself and really admires Ochako… but she also cant nor wants to live in a world where she, in particular, doesnt exists. Even if that means stopping the whole plan, what looked like her road to achieve happiness. Ochako also admires Himiko, and she hates parts of herself, or at least compares herself and feels insecure very easily, and i cant help but wonder if she also prefers Himiko over the traits she envies. She was really sad and dare i say desperate to stop her, as there was a high possibility of her being hurt/die. I want to know how shes doing, where is she. I dont want to believe Ochako was happy leaving her behind just bc “she got to save her in the end”; thats not what those chapters told the audience. The story they tell is Uraraka feels pain over Toga dying and feeling hurt, it would make me sad to see her not even grieving or, even worse, completely happy bc a guy saved the say.

And really, isn’t this relevant for bkdk too? Chapter 424 gave us a good look into it from Katsuki’s perspective I think -he has shown how he can do the saving, the helping others with a smile, yet he cried over the idea of not being able to be with Izuku forever even if it was at a distance. Midoriya… I want to know what he thinks and feels. He is too cryptic aaaaghghg.

Idea for Deku's new dad.

Masaru Bakugou is Deku's dad (Mitsuki and him are swingers or smtg). Izuku doesnt know. The the real reason Katsuki hates him is bc they are siblings and it's the chain instinct in him reacting to his need to take it up to 200

now this is surprisingly possible, given Inko and Masaru are the same age and i usually hc them as schoolmates and friendly if more distant now as adults.

anyway lets say Masaru wasn't exclusive with either of them until Mitsuki realized she was pregnant and was like "ok put a ring on it or dont but pick one now." and he shrugged and said 'ok' which is not the least romantic proposal out there. But then a few months later Inko realizes she's also pregnant from before that engagement, and knows she has to tell both of them, if awkwardly. Mitsuki is like 'just move in with us then.' and Inko is like '.... you know i think id rather not but thank you' and is independent, though Masaru does send some child support money every month. The parents decided to not tell the boys though (Mitsuki: i dont want to be bothered about how he wants to move to live with his brother instead whenever i tell him to clean something. ) (Masaru: it'd be really akward for them explaining it to others and they might ask awkward questions too) (Inko: i'd rather not risk them getting bullied about it, besides i'm sure they'll be good friends anyway.)

The parents unanimously agree they'll only tell the boys if absolutely necessary to prevent a luke and leia situation.

Consequently, Katuski never has the exact word to describe why Izuku annoys him so much in a way no one else can seem to, while inside Izuku's head, Second is going "oh Ninth's the little brother, got it" while Yoichi says he can't see it.

bkdk au where katsuki started his interest in cooking bc izuku cant taste shit so everything taste similar and bland to him so katsuki driven by the desire to have izuku eat his food and say it's delicious and MEAN it becomes obsessed with providing izuku the best food possible.

his obsession eventually lead to him becoming a master chef and earning a michelin-star bc he pours his heart and soul in creating the best dish possible and everyone thinks it's his passion and dream but really he's just want to make very, very good food for izuku to eat. izuku is his harshest critics not bc he knows anything about food or is strict about what he eat but bc he cant TASTE and he's kind so he'll lie and say everything is good, but katsuki can read him like an open book so he knows right away if izuku doesnt like it. so being able to cook izuku the most delicious meal and for izuku to smile and sincerely say it's good with all his heart is katsuki's raison d'être. this is how katsuki says i love you, how he expresses his feeling by feeding izuku with what he painstaking created by hand.

for izuku, food is just sustenance. he doesn't like it but his body need to it live so he has to eat it and food is such a culturally symbolic thing in many cultures and society it's hard for izuku to connect with others bc he cant taste it like everyone else; he feels isolated. so izuku since young learns to fake it bc as long as he put on a smile and says it's delicious nobody would ever expect there's something wrong with him... but that annoys KATSUKI SO MUCH because he hates it when izuku lie like that, he wants izuku to mean those words for once.

he was so intensely on perfecting his cooking to get a reaction of out of izuku that he ends up becoming a chef by accident LOL. so while most chefs' life goal is to earn a michelin star, katsuki's mount everest is to have izuku tell him with a smile "this is delicious, kacchan!" this somehow becomes a lifelong goal of feeding and making izuku happy with his food because slowly but surely he realizes to be able provide good food to the ppl we love and to have them eat it and say wholehearted that it's good is the most humbling feeling in the world.

MANGA CH. 284 SPOILERS

OF REDEMPTIONS AND ATONEMENTS:

We all been knew, man. We all knew this was coming.

And godDAMN does it fucking HURT. (oh the sweet sweet angstfest this whole chapter is, just *chef's kiss*)

But i legit cannot put into words how deep the choice to 'Atone' cuts on my bleeding bkdk heart. Let's first take a step back and see how Katsuki went from DvK2 to here- that one keystone moment that has given us this beautiful chapter: And I meant ALLLL the way back to Chap. 252

TL;DR Katsuki was actually paying real close attention to Endeavour in this part. He came to Endeavour to learn exactly what he was missing as a Hero, but he learnt so much more.

This scene in particular left a momentous impact on Kacchan. Here, Natsuo is resistant to the idea of forgiving his father for all his sins just because he is more involved in their lives now. And Endeavour had been dreaming for a while about a Home where he is not present with the rest of the Todoroki's which ultimately gave him the idea of buying a house for the others to live in apart from him. This is HUGE. This is what actually drove Endeavour's Redemption home- the perfect understanding and the perfect compensation, the two elements of a brilliant Redemption Arc. NOT THE FORGIVENESS, just as Enji says it. It is NEVER ABOUT THE FORGIVENESS.

Endeavour understood that it was his presence that caused his family distress, and although he dearly wanted to be a part of his family again, was even making efforts towards it by being cordial and accepting of Shouto's friends, inviting them to a family dinner, etc. etc. Endeavour realized the only way he can compensate/atone was to give up something that would cause him suffering, and them happiness. The idea that your family doesnt want you, when you just started to show some effort and HOPE that they might see you in different light, maybe forgive you and then to just terminate those ties entirely, punting yourself into a void where NO ONE CAN COME IN AND SAVE YOU FROM YOUR SUFFERING, is exactly what Endeavour did. He is actively shutting down the ONE window through which his family could see that he was suffering, and miserable, and wanted to be a part of the family again. Endeavour CHOSE to not be forgiven. To writhe with the knowledge of his sins day in and day out with only the shrine of Dabi Touya to haunt him every waking minute.

I cannot explain just how much determination it takes to do that, man. It's just- WOW.

Excuse me for ranting on Endeavour in a bkdk post, but I swear this has a point. And All Might says this the best:

This is the fanlation, the official release (which I couldnt get my hands on) also mentions that "When I meant you were like Endeavour, I meant the Change"

This here is an important bit that AM has caught onto.

In the 252 panel, where Endeavour says 'It's not like I want forgiveness' (Because Endeavour understands he cannot be, should not be, forgiven) "I just want to make up for everything I have done" (and to back this up, Endeavour shuts down the one communication link that could have offered him forgiveness, and thus salvation from the weight of his sins and his guilt)

Katsuki understood Endeavour's idea of redemption very well here, although he might not be shown with that light-bulb moment. He may have already known this wayyy before Endeavour said anything, but those words lent a solidity and to the path he must persue to acheive redemption: And it's Not forgiveness.

Let me tell you why I think Atonement is the greater factor here, even greater than Redemption itself. Redemption has an end-point: Forgiveness. But Atonement doesn't. Atonement has no expiry date. Atonement is purely propelled by the understanding of self, and the weight of guilt the self bears, whereas a Redemption is All About The Forgiveness.

Forgiveness is an external force, it may or may not be given to you and that is completely up to the person who has been wronged. Atonement is self-imposed, it is a meditation of the soul to forgive itself against the guilt it carries.

If Redemption is a marathon with a banner at the finish line, Atonement is trying to drag a twenty pounds of rocks through the Sahara desert without water, food or a compass- it's endless, hopeless.

And this is why Atonement is greater than Redemption.

And do you think someone as stubborn as Kastuki will ever find himself atoned of his deeds? No. And That, my friends, is The Point. In 252, when Endeavour says, "I dont want forgiveness" it's not just him saying it- it's also Katsuki. "I just want to make it upto you", is also Katsuki.

And to prove it, Katsuki will never ask for forgiveness. A verbal apology will be nice, sure. Especially since dumb-ass, gay-ass, 'Kacchan-sugoi' ass Izuku Doesn't even See it as Atonement. He is just #Blessed that Kacchan and he can talk almost-naturally again. And that is also Katsuki's intention- because the moment Izuku knows, he won't be able to atone this way anymore.

So, as much as I HATE to say this, the chances of a voluntary verbal apology are slim. If allowed to go on like this, Kacchan with continue to shadow Izuku through his life, worrying about him, LOSING SLEEP OVER HIM :

LOOK AT HIM DOING A HECCIN' MAJOR KOKORO-STOPPING CONCERN.

(He is flipping his shit because he worries, and he worries so much, and has worried for him for a long LONG time.)

- Katsuki will continue on this path of being Izuku's support.

Forever if it takes.

Forever, he hopes, it takes-

Because the only way he will stop is in death, either his own or Deku's.

This is his Atonement: To undo everything he once did, to support Izuku's dream instead of squashing it; To help him get stronger instead of perpetuating the narrative on his weakness; To protect him from all harm, when he once hurt; To be on his side when the whole world is against him, because once he was all, but, for him; To save Izuku as he wins, to win as he saves.

And, To deny each oppurtunity of forgiveness even as he desperately longs to be unburdened of his guilt.

Because Katsuki knows:

He knows Izuku is that one of a million, he is kind and humble and considerate and loving to a fault.

Katsuki knows that Izuku will forgive him in a heartbeat. That is just the kind of selfless, beautiful person he is.

Unlike Endeavour, who had no guarantee to forgiveness, Katsuki does. And that is what makes Katsuki's Atonement more powerful than Endeavour's. He recognizes it is in his grasp, just an arm's length away...

....Just an arm's length.

And Katsuki will deny himself that. Because he does not believe he deserves it. He hasn't atoned enough for it.

"Keep At Arm's Length"

He says. Because this is the critical distance between them. Not "Stay an arm's length away", because Katsuki doesn't wanna run away from Deku, and he doesn't want to be too far away to protect him, nor does he want to get too close to finally recieve the forgiveness that will give him salvation.

This is the fine balancing act Katsuki must maintain indefintely till he believes he has acheived his idea of atonement. (And when has he ever been happy just the bare minimum?)

I know I said Katsuki will never ask for forgiveness, and a voluntary verbal apology is very unlikely, because in it's very nature, it is inviting a forgiveness from Izuku, which we have established, Katsuki wants to avoid. And if this were any other manga, we would have been doomed to this conclusion. But, there is a scenario when Katsuki might issue a verbal apology and that is when Katsuki knows there isn't enough time to be forgiven in turn, or, hasn't atoned enough and can no longer continue to.

Like when Katsuki launches off, to deliver a final kamikaze blow to a villain, and he has only enough time to tell Deku a short "I am sorry", but not enough time to wait for a reply. Or when Deku is dying and at his final moments, when Katsuki knows however much he has atoned isn't enough and isn't how Deku should leave, without closure.

Whatever the future may hold, my dear readers, Katsuki still has a long, long way to go. And I hope to see him live through everything, to be there -

To survive these wars with Deku, To fight alongside him, To protect him. To win. To save.

To Live.

To hear Deku say "I had forgiven you a long time ago";

and ofcourse,

To forgive himself.

kacchan wasnt even wrong. hes nothing, since hes quirkless. right. hes below the rejects. why keep trying to prove them wrong? he should show them just how low he can go.

“take a swan dive off of the roof of the building.” kacchan said.

so he did.

thats when he met him. a blue haired man, dressed in black, slightly scratching his skin. he introduced himself as tomura shigaraki.

he saw izukus notebook. filled with an in-depth analysis of all pro heroes. its useful, especially for them.

he suggested to help izuku make a name for himself, to take revenge on the ones who wronged him. take revenge on all might. on bakugou.

so they faked his death, it was a peace of cake really. the whole world thought he was dead. his suicide made it into the news, a quirkless kid who got bullied for being different, who got his dream shattered. suddenly they cared.

izuku accepted. he might not be able to be a hero. but he would be able to be a villain. he didnt need to be good. he could be bad.

“you’re below the rejects”

yeah, he could go even deeper than that.

so he made it his personal task to ruin their lives. to ruin all might. to ruin hero-in-training katsuki bakugou.

all he needed was insight into U.A. a mole. so he got one. one that even made it into bakugous friend group. one that could help him ruin bakugous life first.

and when they finally captured bakugou, izuku was the first to greet him.

“hello, kacchan. did’ya miss me?” he wouldve said, with a knife on his childhood friends neck.

“what can you do? you’re quirkless!” bakugous words repeated in his head.

“surprised? c’mon shouldn’t you say hello to your childhood friend?”

poor bakugou wouldve been speechless, completely in shock. he couldnt even say anything, wasnt izuku supposed to be dead? he saw his corpse on that day! he saw the police talking to his sobbing mother, he saw the ambulance loading in his corpse, completely covered in blood.

“take a swan dive off of the roof of the building.” those words would still haunt him to this day. the second he saw the outcome of his words, he regretted them deeply. he blamed himself for izukus death every day.

the whole time those two would look at each other, izuku with eyes full of hatred and bakugou with eyes full of regret.

and when bakugou finally speaks, it would be a simple “is this my fault?” oh and izuku would know exactly what he means. his alliance with the leage of villains. but what he obviously doesnt know is that he would be the one leading them. not them leading him.

izuku would know exactly what to answer, know exactly how to hurt bakugou even more: “do you think youre that special to me, kacchan?” since he always hated not being the first, right?

he would enjoy mentally torturing bakugou. he would enjoy playing karma, giving him back everything of what bakugous done to him.

and when he’s done, he would go on to his next target. all might. and he would make sure he never dares to declare himself the symbol of peace ever again.

In some worlds, Midoriya Izuku is the first quirkless hero. But not in this one, not by far.

Because his homeroom teacher is the hero he's always looked up to: UA's first quirkless Pro Hero.

consider 1A teacher aizawa just still made of emotional devastation, nezu made him promise not to use his powers of destruction on his children unless he was expelling them 

this is a quirkless izuku au too, mirio got ofa, allmight encouraged izuku to be a hero after the fight but had no quirk to give him and he manages to make his own way into the hero course

so izuku is a little analyst, gets mostly hero points but uses sharp rebar and poles to smash in the sensors of some robots, getting him a few non-rescue points either. Aizawa is watching like "oh interesting a non-combat quirk" and beside him allmight is vibrating with excitement

"he might actually do it!"

allmight turns sheepishly to aizawa

"young midoriya on camera 6, he might just be the first quirkless student to pass the enterance exam to heroics straight up"

and aizawa can hardly watch anyone else for the rest of the exam, he adopts this kid on the fucking Spot

hes on the edge of his fucking seat, when nezu sends out the zero pointer. "this kid only needs 10 more points, just ten more" and izuku turns around to look at the 0 pointer and aizawa is like "fuck kid i hope you know what youre doing"

he manages to shove a piece of rebar into the treads, stoping it in its place. it tries to swat him like a bug but he just dives out of the way, picks up ochako and sprints and aizawa is like "holy shit holy shit these bastards better give this kid hero points for that"

like they are assigning final hero points and aizawa has to awkwardly put his hand up "i,,, should probably be excluded from giving midoriya hero points because i went from 0 to bias very very quickly"

allmight just nods sagely

please nezu is like "uwu take one of 1B to make the classes even" and vlad is like "no ive already bonded tough cookies" vlad just adopts bakugo instantly

monoma and bakugou become bros, the baku-squad is 50% a thing, but its mostly 1B students but with pinning kiri. kendo and bakugo both keep monoma in line, monoma and kendo keep bakugo in line

during the sports festival shinsou is like "you must have a blessed quirk to get into the hero course"

and izuku just has this "really. this si what we're doing now" look on his face. hes just gesturing to shinso in exasperation, trying to make eye contact w aizawa hidden up in the commentary box

all you can hear from the box is aizawa quiet snickering as mic tries not to give the game away. he yeets shinso out of bonds and just hauls him back to his feet

"im quirkless you nonce"

and bc there are some quirkless heroes everyone acts like discrimination isn't a thing anymore and quirkless people should shut up while quirkless people are still getting killed and committing suicide at like 500% the rate of people with quirks

also the suicide rate is,,,,, significantly higher in japan but no one ever talks abt it bc japan the “ideal place for people with quirks” so that surely means nothing could ever go wrong

izuku does the "its your power" speech in like 3 parts, before, during and after the sports festival bc he needs he bones w no quirk

stain asks izuku what his quirk is and izuku does the "wouldn't you like to know, weather boy"

if i dont take care of myself ill never be able to stand up to the heroes w quirks but also do i deserve normal good human things

tl:dr: he can cook well and is trying to teach izuku that 2-minute noodles and apples arent hero fuel

inko is like: "uwu i wont change what i cook for you so you'll just have to make do owo" in like, a pathetic attempt to get him to stop training so izuku runs off protein bars, electrolyte drinks and raw vegetables

just like, his bento at school. its only raw mushrooms, spinach, tomatoes and 2 full carrots

the only time he gets like a kinda valid balanced meal for a hero in training is when he pops by bakugous place and mitsuki forces him to stay for lunch

its a bit messy since i had to transfer it from discord but i hope its legible

ok so in this au hisashi was the japanese dragon and had married non magical inko  hisashi was related to jake but i cant remember how exactly, he was either his uncle or his mothers cousin. but this means that izuku grew up close to the magical community of the world and has the very heavy legacies of 3 family members to live up to  except he cant, not in the way expected of him  izuku's dragon form skipped his generation  he cant shift or do most anything magical but no one in the family really realizes this until much later in his life  while quirks manifest at age 4, dragon powers tend to show up from ages 8-11 (if i remember properly) so when izuku doesnt get a quirk everyone in his family takes it as a sign to start training him to take his fathers place as the japanese dragon  izuku is pretty much devastated when his dragon form never comes to him its a let down in two major ways  1) he will never be able to fly with his family and be truly apart of the magical community 2) japan will be without a magical protector for much longer than it should have been  u see, hisashi died a long time ago when izuku was maybe,,,, 5-6  hisashi was looking into a threat against reptilian quirk users (this tends to be code for dragons in the quirk society) but due to the secrecy behind the magical community, he wasn’t given some important details regarding the case from the non magical heroes  they didn’t give him some information that seemed pointless to them, but utterly crucial to a person who knew what to look for  because of this, hisashi was taken by surprise and was killed by the huntsclan back on the tangent regarding izuku’s powers from a familial stand point he’s pretty heartbroken, almost all of his family has the capability to shift and his cousins (while kind of sympathetic) don’t really understand him anymore they had taken him flying when he was a kid to give him a taste of what they believed he would be able to do every day  as he got older, they were a bit more wary with him izuku was treated as a more breakable and a bit inferior  not on purpose, but all of his cousins are older than him. they had already babied him before, but this was on a different level  (izuku hated the way they treated him he was capable! he was trained to be the next magical protector of japan for christ’s sake! just because they gave up hope on his powers manifesting didn’t mean that he had! (he couldnt give up that wasn’t an option. he needed to be a hero HeNeededToBeAHeroNoMatterWhat) so as izuku grew he kept his eyes up towards the sky and dreamed. no matter how concerned his family grew about his aspiration to be a hero)   

when middle school comes around, izuku hasn't stopped wanting to be a hero but hes almost completely given up on his powers manifesting  (which hurts in so many ways because izuku never stopped feeling trapped in his Too Small body and stuck on the ground to never greet the Sky)  so izuku plans to be the first quirkless hero  which everyone hes ever met and their mother disagrees with (humans are oh so fragile to magical beings)  but nonetheless izuku is going to get into ua if it kills him  cue the sludge villain and izuku’s Question to all might  ofc all might says no bc why change this angsty moment  (though all might does note that izuku looks very familiar) as izuku makes his way on home he ponders over his place in a world where he’s an outcast in every way that means anything to him what is he supposed to do now? every draconic instinct that he has is invalidated by others simply due to the body he possesses. his dreams of heroics tossed out despite his training.  izuku shakes his head, what in the world is he going to do now that-  he looks up and meets katsuki's eyes.  izuku feels something snap (even if he doesnt have the ability to shift, izuku is still a dragon, and dragons are protective of what’s theirs) despite what that last bit teases, izuku doesn’t shift completely then  he gets a small boost from his dragon side its from a shift in his eyes. he was only able to notice the world grow sharper around him, which he writes off as adrenaline no one else really notices his eyes. except katsuki who doesn’t even really talk to him so obviously wouldn’t tell izuku it just makes him less surprised to see that izuku manifested a quirk  but still, izuku is offered ofa and canon proceeds as usual, if a bit skewed since u know,,,, hes from a family of dragon heroes  i didnt want to deal with the dark dragon in this that much bc i didnt really care abt him all that much as a kid (i did like certain plot points but its been a bit since ive rewatched the show so i dont think im the best person to talk to abt this guy)  i loved the nonmagical world and magical beings interacting so there would’ve been a lot of that in this the dark dragon was defeated a long time ago in izuku’s perspective (oh my god i forgot to talk abt the longs didn’t i)  jake in this au is in his early 20s, and an accomplished american hero (who may or may not have had plans to visit ua after izuku partially shifts at the sports festival) haley is around the same age as izuku, if a bit older than him  they got along well as kids but haley had been a bit of a brat regarding her prodigious use of her powers and her manifesting b4 him was kind of a sore point  jake is a nice (if a bit obnoxious) cousin to izuku  they get along well due to the expectations they both carry and the powers that they didn’t have any mastery over (at the time)  but izuku was a bit bitter abt him bc jake had everything right there why didn’t he just take it  (izukus dragon insticts make him a bit,,, unhinged ngl)  he still loves his family tho  thats all i have at the moment,,,

bkdk au: katsuki is the young emperor fiercely dedicated to his country but his only flaw is that he excessively dots on his male concubine. his advisors worry izuku is a useless distraction except they don’t know that izuku was the one who orchestrated katsuki's successful coup.

katsuki is the disposed heir after one of their most loyal and powerful retainers rise up and killed his parents and removed his family from power. izuku was the one who found and rescued him after he nearly died running away from ppl trying to finally get rid of the last bakugou. the thing is izuku is the LAST person he expected bc izuku is the son of katsuki's former nursemaid inko so they grew up together but katsuki treated izuku horribly as he was ya know a mere servant who doesnt even have a father yet katsuki's parents treated izuku so KINDLY.

izuku was able to be educated alongside katsuki under the brightest minds in the entire country but even if he's in a better position than most he still basically the son of a nursemaid who shouldn't be rubbing shoulder with the crown prince, he always been painfully aware of it. katsuki snubbed him and treated him as if he's dirt, but izuku thought as long as he can continue to learn he can go very far with it and help uplift his mom one day. and he always admire the prince ya know for being brave, smart and a warrior; everything a future king should be, except katsuki hated izuku for having share the same privilege as him (his parents’ love, education, and thinking he's as good/equal footing with katsuki) even though they're on in completely different station as one is prince and the other is a mere servant boy.

so katsuki always kinda ignored him and tried to chased him off and out of his life and they were 'playing around' and izuku finally had enough and pushed back and katsuki got hurt in the process. hurting the prince is like a huge DEAL and is punishable by death even but katsuki's parents were willing to let it go bc ya know they're kids, they played rough it's fine but katsuki wont let up he wanted to teach izuku a lesson, he wanted izuku to know that a mere servant cant ever hope to tread on the life of a prince, izuku should know his PLACE.

it was just a simple, harmless fight b/t two kids that got out of control but when ppl heard that it's a servant who did it. the majority of the nobility hates the idea of lower class thinking that they can usurp their position and have any chance to climb out their social class. they want izuku's head!! they want to use izuku as an example that the lower class can NEVER rise up to their masters that izuku should never lay a finger on katsuki bc you got to cut the rotten plant off by it roots to make sure it'll never bear anything poisonous in the future.

katsuki honestly didn't think it would have become so big. he wanted to harrassed izuku a lil, let him know his place and doesn't get a big head that they're friends but now ppl has taken that incidence & used it to their advantage to CRUSH any hopes of equality among the classes. katsuki's parents did everythig to tried to save izuku but ppl esp powerful ppl from influencial family that support the royal house for so long wants izuku to be made an example, they want his head so katsuki's parents has no choice to be send away instead to save him. so izuku got sent off to the monastery which is not bad exactly he still get food and accommodations and lives a pretty uneventful life but he's also fucking 11 and you're sending him away from his mom and home to be trapped in a tower for the rest of his life to repent.

years past and the story of the lil servant boy who used to follow the prince and had injured was left forgotten and katsuki grew up with the ghost of izuku haunting the walls of his palace. he realized at this point what A SHITTY FUCKED UP KID HE WAS. god, he was a dumbass but it's too late now, izuku is all the way in the mountains now where no one can visit him, locked away to pray and guard thousands of books for the rest of his life. his bones will be buried there and his name is only known to those who truly knew him in the past.

so katsuki to doesn't let let himself think too much of izuku esp when one of their powerful retainers tried to rebel and usurped the crown bc they thought katsuki and his parents are too lax on the lower class and doesnt focus on lining their own pockets with gold. so they killed katsuki's parents & chased katsuki off and would have kill him too if katsuki still didn't have a few loyal ppl on his side trying to sneak him to safety and somehow by some chance he landed a bloody mess at the mountains where izuku has spent the rest of his days. maybe they're bound somewhere by a twist of fate but izuku is the one who found him bleeding on the snowy grounds and brought him back to the monestary. after what katsuki had done to him, izuku could have easily left him to die but he didn't. he even treated katsuki's wounds.

during the weeks under izuku's careful care, katsuki realized izuku could easily kill him anytime or mistreat for katsuki's pass misdeed against him but the entire time izuku never once treat him harshly. he gave him the same respect just as any other human that he come across.

"why don't you hate?" katsuki demanded one day.

izuku paused, looked up from his reading, and instead asked: "do you regret what you did to me?" katsuki stared at his hands before finally saying, "yes, i live with it every day."

“then i cant hate someone who changed," he said. "i can hate your past but i cant hate the present you or the person you chose to become now. the past shouldn't have to defined your present just as children are allow to grow up, why should we continue to make our adult selves bear the consequence of our past," izuku explained.

it's not like izuku is like some sort of saint to forgive and forget that easily bc when he first arrived here many years ago he was crying and raging thinking how this was fair at all and cursing his fate but then he has a lot of time to contemplate and sit with his thought. instead of staying depressed and hopeless, izuku channeled that negative energy to something good. he used that to fueled ideas and plans what can he do the day when he find a chance to break from this place. so he read, make plans, read some more, think of his mom, AND READ. his chance finally in the form of the man who put him in this fucking tower in the first place, but izuku has long move past his grudge. now he and katsuki are both on equal footing. they're no longer prince and servant, both ppl trapped by their circumstances and need a way out.

“and beside i need you alive to get back your parents' kingdom," izuku said, quiet and severed. "you're the last surviving bakugou. there are still people who are hoping that you come back and cure the corruption that has been plaguing our kingdom since your family been disposed. i'll help you take back your throne and you help me make this country a better place than it was originally so that there will be no more izukus born into this world thinking he's worthless."

In that moment, katsuki realized izuku was as ruthless as he is benevolent.

izuku has spent yrs locked away in his tower surrounded by his own thoughts and books. LOTS OF FUCKING BOOKS. this monastery is the LARGEST library collections in the world. so when izuku not planning for the future, he spent hours just going through every book and living in it. izuku knows the weirdest, random, and 'useless' of facts in the world like how to build the most efficient bridge, creating waterways, the supply/demand, and history of rice or some shit. it's the most innocuous information separately but together it's frightening.

izuku has vast knowledge of so many random things. "i can't fight your battles for you or give you an army but i can help you win wars and rebuild your kingdom." this is izuku's promise to him. "I will give you the most prosperous kingdom under the heaven if you trust me."

that's how katsuki ended up making a deal with a devil in white.

once katsuki was healed, they make a plan to escape the tower together and start on their journey to get back the kingdom and implement izuku's many plans. first, they have to raise an army which they dont have but soon katsuki realizes that izuku is like kinda nutty and unconventional??? instead of recruiting actual soldiers/mercs and borrowed army from other allies, izuku is like we can make these common folks into our soldiers and katsuki is like THEY'RE FUCKING FARMERS!!!!

izuku explained while they're untrained and unpolished, just give them food, shelter, and a reason to fight for and they'll do it bc when you have everything to lose, you'll fight to the your last breath to keep it, so make them happy and in debt to you and they'll be loyal to you until something better comes a long lol.

then izuku got obsessed with these weird ugly rocks and make katsuki have his ppl mined for them even though they're useless it turned out that izuku read that if you heat them to a certain temp the material is harder than some metal which make for cheap but resilient weapon. izuku's really think of things like waaaaay out there that ppl dont really consider bc it seems a lil too simple and/or out of the ordinary like katsuki's allies is like WE SHOULD PREPARE FOR WAR but izuku has katsuki built bridges and flood dams instead near a valley LOL. it's kinda like WTF moment?? but later they realize those bridges and flood dams are great at like literally trapping armies that come in by releasing a flood of water on them and using bridges they can move their ppl so much easy and it's like how the fuck even think like that.

izuku would focus on solving small problems that lead to big outcomes like he wants to fix the famine issue bc if ppl cant eat they cant fight but leaders dont always have time consider the smaller detail like that. izuku thinks on large scale but never forget the small details that make up the bigger picture in the end. he used all the knowledge he had gathered from reading to really reshape katsuki's army and plan out the rebellion by not with violent and death but by making ppl lives better so that they believe that following katsuki is the best and better outcome bc of what he can offer them.

as izuku coming up with all these strategies and inventions he NEVER expose that it's his idea. he lets katsuki or allies take credit bc he knows the more spotlight you're under, the more in danger you are but how else would they explain his role as someone close to their prince? someone once entered katsuki's tent and saw bkdk in some intimate moment and GOT WRONG IDEA that izuku is katsuki's pet lover or some shit but in reality katsuki was berating izuku for his insane ideas and putting himself in danger AGAIN but they look close to other ppl's eyes.

so words got around katsuki's camp and allies that izuku is katsuki's secret lover so that's why izuku always following around and katsuki keeps him close not bc izuku is katsuki's tactician and mastermind of his entire rebellion but now he's reduced to the role of a mistress lol. when katsuki heard that rumored he got so mad he wanted to shut everyone up but izuku just shushed him bc it's beneficial for them in the end. izuku can hide his true identity and no one would ever expect some useless pretty sex doll to be like the brain behind the future king. and when they finally toppled the corrupted regime and katsuki is instated as emperor, he anointed izuku as his concubine much to the chagrin of his advisors bc katsuki seems to truly values izuku's opinions and is super protective of him even though izuku is a useless accessory.

what outsiders dont know is none of bkdk's business bc izuku already implemented plans to rebuilt the kingdom from their civil war and trying to recover what left of it so other countries wont invade them their weaken self and katsuki is making it all possible for izuku do it. so during all this time they're forced to work together, katsuki realizes how absolutely brilliant and what A FUCKING DUMBASS izuku is. he's soooo book smart and full of knowledge of so many random things but he doesnt have any common sense and put himself in danger so easily.

he could find many ways to solve their drought problem but then izuku keep getting arrested for like trying to incite a fucking riot among the farmers or something and izuku cant fight for shit but managed to like raised a network of orphan children spies who would die for him in a heartbeat. katsuki literally think izuku went insane somewhere in the tower bc nobody is like this dangerous to himself LOL. he's trying to keep his broken kingdom together but izuku is like masterminding world domination or some shit, not to be powerful or rule over the world but to make sure there’s no more orphan of wars and people have a fighting chance to live and THRIVE.

it's never going to happen but izuku wants to get as close as possible to it. katsuki thinks izuku's plans are mad but he never give up on it, fiercely strive to do better and it's this insatiable hunger to ultimately to save that drives izuku forward; it's what attract Katsuki.

katsuki is a soldier, a king, and also a man; a very flawed man but he's someone who been humbled and defeated by circumstances and by IZUKU of all ppl who like to remind him a king is but a man with crown on his head. the crown AND the head can be easily removed anytime. izuku falls in love with katsuki much slower when he is shown that katsuki is not only a great king, but also a good man who thinks and care for the people under him no matter who they are then that's the day he realizes he fallen for a man who can hold his scarred heart gently.

TRIGGER WARNINGS IN TAGS.

1. PH!bkdk from my previous Pain Post. except lets take it a step back. bkdk are planning their futures together. they wanna be a duo. they’re gonna kick ass. they wanna work with their classmates, maybe open up their own agency? deku’s so excited, but the pressure of all might’s legacy weighs on him more and more by the day. he tells no one, but oh, it keeps him up at night. his performance as a hero, his professional appearances, his fucking private life-it’s all going to be scrutinised. hell, most of the class have been in contact with PR people since second year. but regardless of all the complicated bs, what bkdk really wanna do is make all might proud. they’re together, and their families and classmates know- there were varied responses, but it’s fine. they’re fine. but soon, kacchan starts talking about the future of their relationship. deku tries to avoid the conversation. kacchan gets upset at him for it, calls him a coward, and they argue. a lot. eventually deku cracks and tells katsuki their relationship needs to be kept hidden from the public. after weeks of arguing, katsuki snaps no, he won’t accept that. izuku sobs as he gives katsuki an ultimatum: keep their relationship secret, or they can’t stay together. they almost break up under the pressure of it all, but ultimately, kacchan agrees to keep it a secret. (it’s a shame that in the years to come, their relationship would end and be outed.)

2. kacchan is kidnapped. again. izuku fails to save him. again. but this time, there is no coordinated attack, there is no known motive, there is no rhyme or reason or suspects or any clue to where his kacchan is. weeks pass. clues are investigated (tirelessly, by izuku, who is a pro and you have no fucking right to keep me out of the office, i’ve earnt my place here, i need to keep working-!) but every thread to katsuki has been mercilessly cut. izuku doesn’t waste away, because kacchan needs him, but he doesn’t live in the time he spends searching. weeks, then months. years.izuku doesn’t let his hope (desperation need terror loneliness agony) die. and then, one day, kacchan turns up. izuku breaks who-knows how many laws getting to the hospital kacchan ended up in, getting there in record time. hope flares in his heart, bright and genuine, for the first time in years. he is met with a barely-alive, emaciated body. comatose. it’s months more before kacchan wakes up. his memory is spotty, but he knows who izuku is. he can get better.it takes only days for kacchan to make his attempt. it wouldn’t have been successful, but he was already in such a bad shape... and izuku fucking shatters. 

(I HATE MYSELF AND MY BRAIN IT KEPT GOING DOWN THE RABBIT HOLE OF MISERY. FUCK. ARE YOU HAPPY? ARE YOU HAPPY THAT I AM HURTING MY BABY BOY?)

3. izuku is kind of old, for a pro. not all-m old, but pretty old. (active pros don’t usually last that long, after all) after his successor has graduated from school, izuku teaches, continuing to do as much PH work as he’s physically able to. OFA is dwindling, his time is running out.. but he still has more people to save. it’s all well and good, until villains destroy UA. Izuku & his students fight. some students escape, even. but Izuku was injured in the initial explosions, and he’s old, and OFA- gives out. he fights on, weak and in agony, as the children, his children, are hurt around him, falling one by one.

his last thoughts: i wonder if i’ll see my classmates again. i hope my successor will be ok. i wonder if ill ever be forgiven for this. im sorry.

4. inko gets sick. izuku spends every second outside of class with her. she gets worse. he starts skipping class, too. (even though he mostly spends his time sat by her bedside, watching her ever-thinner form sleep) worse, still, and they don’t know whether or not she’ll die, but it could happen. izuku all but moves in to the hospital. he gets in trouble (not trouble, they just want to help, but their ‘help’ would take him away from his mother-) but he refuses to leave her side. he’s alone, most of the time. he spends days, weeks, months in the company of his mother’s shallow breathing and the beeps of the machines that keep her alive. everyone’s worried. he still won’t leave, won’t talk. once he misses enough school, they tell him he’s at risk of failing the year; he has to go back. izu doesnt know what to do

5. listen this shit is legit takin a toll lmaooo XD  im too emotionally invested in my boys so short final one: deku, quite unintentionally, loses his quirk. loses his spot at UA. loses his dreams, his future, his closeness with his class. they can’t help but move on without him, ykno? he feels fucking terrible. sinks into depression. and lives his life, quirkless once more, except now, he knows exactly what life he has lost.
