the first piros in final fantasy IX. like literally the one that can’t hit you
the very first sentret that came out of the tall grass in pokemon silver
the unown radio music in pokemon silver
the rumor that you can be run over by the train in pokemon crystal
the drought song in pokemon ruby
the beginning of oddworld because i had only the demo
literally fucking satan showing up in kingdom hearts
the death beetles in tomb raider the last revelation
the mouth of truth and the bats that came out of it in rome in tomb raider chronicles
the chef in the submarine level in tomb raider chronicles
literally everything in the third level of tomb raider chronicles
the helicopter in the last level of tomb raider chronicles
tomb raider chronicles in general really scared me a lot actually
the first boss of the bugs’ life ps1 game
the snakes in the jungle in jak and daxter
literally everything but the boss of the haiti level in sly raccoon
literally everything in both the contessa levels in sly 2 but especially the tanks and, again, yet another fucking train that can run you over

would it be too on-the-nose to make Beetle Raider’s transformation cry “change beetle” or is this one of my infrequent great ideas

i have this character in my fiction project called Beetle Raider, but i’ve always just called him Beet for short… but it’s only literally just now that the wires connected in my brain and i realised beets are actually a thing that already exist and i’ve basically been referring to my kamen rider-flavoured superhero character as a soup ingredient.
