A Moment of Truth...

I don’t talk about it. I pretend I don’t want to talk, but in all honesty, sometimes I do. I don’t want people going under the misconception that I’m looking for a pity party. I just want to tell one person, one special person. Not my best friend whose witnessed some of it first hand. Not the person who knows everything because of how long we’ve known each other. Someone different, someone who would feel special knowing I could open up to them, someone who wouldn’t laugh if I cried at my past, someone who would hug me for a minute and promise that they’d never inflict anything like these stories upon me. Someone who would promise that if they left, it’d be a damn good story. Someone who would respect the part of my life I just shared with them. Someone who wouldn’t forget what I said and blame it on the drugs. I really just want someone to care. I’m so tired of pretending my life is so great. I’m trying to convince myself that it’s good cuz I’d rather cherish the good and repel the bad. But I can’t do it all the time. I do it basically all the time. It’s only every once in awhile I really sit and think about it. My present isn’t that bad. My life is going pretty good. But when things get bad, they’re horrible. I hate being left alone with my thoughts.
