I saw it all unfold on Twitter yesterday. But I checked out Justine's post because you mentioned it.

I'm not saying that all of this is 'evicence' or 'proof' of Buddie happening, but in my opinion it is a very huge and big hint into the right direction. Neither Ryan nor Oliver have ever been so blatantly obvious as this before.

What’s your opinion: Do you take deleted scenes as canon?

That's a good question. Thank you for dropping this in my inbox.

But no, I don't consider deleted scenes as canon. There is a reason this scene got left on the cutting room floor, just like all the other cut scenes.

(The only possible exception being that kareoke/bachelor party scene. I really do believe that footage might be used in season 8. In a flashback or something.)

The moment they cut out a scene they do it for a reason. It either didn't fit the narrative, there wasn't enough time, there was a continuity problem... it could have been cut for many reasons.

They release these scenes one by one on social media to engage the fans, keep them active and talking about the show. Especially on social media this is important. It keeps the hype alive and builds up the tension towards the new season.

These scenes are still interesting to analyse, because they do give some clues as to where a story might be going in the future. But ultimately they didn't happen on the show, so they aren't canon.

Just my opinion on this. What is yours?

I would love if Buck joins in on the teasing of the mustache with Hen and Chimney, but when Eddie walks away, Buck is just standing there with a “holy fuck” look on his face and biting his lip.

Now that I would looooove to see! 😋 Him being all confused why he suddenly feels all these things for Eddie and then slowly realising that these feelings aren't new at all. They've been there all along. He was just suppressing them.

Such is the power of the moustache. It brings out the feelings we hide from others and even from ourselves. 🤣

Or or or haha if Tommy has to show up (🙄) he mentions to Buck: “Man, Eddie looks crazy hot with that mustache.” And maybe is a bit flirty toward Eddie and Buck gets super upset (we know the real reason why 😉). But then Eddie feels super uncomfortable about it and pulls Buck aside saying how that wasn’t okay and how Tommy doesn’t treat him right…

Someone should write a fanfic about this. Does it exist already? I would read this. :)

I really think this mustache era could be introducing us to Eddie trying to meet other men and Buck getting insanely protective and jealous.

It's possible (and I loooove me some jealous!buddie) but I'm not sure how long the mustache is going to be sticking around for. I think the mustache will likely be gone before Buddie have their first kiss. I also think by the time Eddie realizes he's queer he will be realizing he has feelings for Buck. I feel like those two things are going to happen relatively close together. If T*mmy was sticking around longer I'd say maybe while Eddie was pinning for Buck (thinking it was never going to happen) he could try dating or hooking up with other guys. But I think T*mmy is going to be history before mid season 8, if he even comes back and even if even lasts more than an episode or two.

I can't say with more certainty until the season starts but my prediction at this point is that by mid season 8 Eddie will have realized he's gay (or bi). B/T will be done as well. Then right as the show is going into the mid season break something big will happen with Buddie. Like maybe a kiss. Maybe Eddie comes out to Buck in a scene that parallels the one in 705 (only this time they're in Eddie's kitchen). Maybe they hug again only this time instead of pulling away like they did in the earlier ep this time they kiss.

Maybe it's not as quiet as that. Maybe it's an emergency and they're both put in danger and their feelings come out that way. I feel like Eddie is long over do for some kind of big injury so I think that's coming too. He had the mental health stuff in season 5 but hasn't been big time injured since season 4 with the shooting. We also know the shooting was likely supposed to be the catalyst that led to Buddie in season 5 so Tim could be planning another big emergency in a similar fashion.

I'm just not sure how fast Tim is going to move these storylines with Eddie and Buddie but it's not unheard of in the realm of 911 for things to move quick. These storylines with Eddie coming out and Buddie finally getting together are what Tim has wanted to do for years now so I don't see him dragging it out until like season 10 like some have speculated they'll do.

I know I went off on my own little tangent here but your ask got me thinking about all this stuff so I hope you don't mind. :)

He looks so good. I need that stache to stick around at least until mid season 8. The hate for the stache makes no sense to me. I think some people in our fandom need to be a little more open to change. There are a lot of men who can't pull off facial hair and Ryan/Eddie isn't one of them. Every new picture picture of him with it is better than the last.
