Being asked to play at the town ball, in comparison to some of the other gigs they’d played, wasn’t huge, but God it felt good to be in front of an audience that was this hype again. The last few chords of ‘ Stand Tall ’ were played, and as the crowd clapped, Luke smiled. “ Hey, thanks so much guys, we’re Julie and the Phantoms. Tell your friends! ” He smiled, taking his guitar off his back and placing it on the stand before venturing out to the snack table. He was always starving after a set. “ Hey, how’s it going? ” He smiled at someone nearby as he piled some chips and guac onto a plate.

james was running down the streets of ivy wood, eyes bright as he scanned the people on the block for a familiar head of red hair. he woke up this morning in a panic reaching for his wife and baby that was nowhere to be found. had voldemort done this? had he taken away his family like james feared he was? to top it off he was in a town he had never seen before, god he wished the other marauders were here to help calm him down. his legs burned as he ran, not slowing down until he saw someone his breath coming out shakey as he tried to speak. “excuse can you tell me where I am? do you know a lily potter?”
#dont look @ me I'm blaring dog days are over while writing this just picturing the part#where it goes run fast for your mother fast for your father to james running bye#ivywood:start

the youngest baudelaire missed her siblings. she missed violets inventions and klaus knowledge, she missed rootbeer floats with beatrice. she had been alone before but this was tough. she always knew her siblings were a letter away but she had no idea where to even send a letter, would it even find her. sunny could get through a lot, she was a tough kid and even tougher adult. still, their was nothing like family when you needed them. maybe if she cooked then she would feel better. heading out to the grocery store the blonde grabbed a cart and walked around. she was just finishing when she noticed one of the last items she needed was on the top shelf and pretty far back. “hmm.” she could climb but people always got mad at he when she did. oh well. she started to climb on the shelves when she felt eyes on her. “hi. couldn’t reach. it’s very far.”

Karaoke night at Velvet Bourbon was Tim’s favorite place to spend a Friday night. Could he sing? Absolutely not, but get enough drinks in him and he’ll get on stage and sing Ob-La-Di Ob-La-Da until the sun came up. He was on drink number two, getting close to karaoke territory, and decided he might wanna at least talk to someone before he made a total ass out of himself. “ So, you gonna go up there? ” He asked with a smile.

cyan gaze scrutinized the selection of furniture laid out before her. finally, she was attempting to get her apartment fully together. an assistant fashion designer was a dream start of a career, but it meant living check to check. but, she was rather used to that. a COFFEE TABLE was the last missing piece to supposed adulthood. “do you think that one would be easy to put together ?? instructions are for wussies, so i refuse to use them.” beverly jested, with an airy chuckle. always so stubborn, yet equally DETERMINED. “i like to think the sense of accomplishment at putting it together without it is worth the struggle. like sure, some of my other furniture pieces are a little WOBBLY, but they work.” her usual, affable grin quick to appear. “or maybe this one would be easier ??” she questioned, pointing to another. “what do you think ??”

“so.. metaphorically someone accidentally mixed some of their blue clothes in with their whites and now everything that they had white is now light blue…” totally wasn’t bubbles’ life at the moment. she knew to not mix those colors. totally not her, at all. bubbles twirled her fingers around one of her pigtails, nervously biting the inside of her cheek. “how would you suggest that they fix that?” was there a way to fix it? bubbles had NO IDEA, but she didn’t want blossom or buttercup to freak.

THE MAN OUT OF TIME. steve rogers had once again awoken to a world that was strange and new to him. this time, luckily, it was in the same century, give or take a few years. but he shouldn’t be here. he should be in upstate new york, mourning the ones he’d lost. recuperating. could something have happened with tony and banner’s calculations? time travel is tricky, and steve didn’t profess to be an expert on the subject. but to him, it was the most logical explanation. a tiny glitch somewhere and POOF — he got dropped into this little town like dorothy into oz. though he’d only been here for a little over a week, he’d quickly gotten a job at the local fire department. once they’d seen his muscular frame, and he’d demonstrated a modest display of strength, he’d been hired on the spot. steve was still getting used to his schedule — heck, even having some sort of schedule was brand new to him. he took his coffee over to the condiment bar, setting it down as he proceeded to open packets of sugar — a little more than usual this morning in anticipation of training at the station. sensing someone else had come up beside him, steve instinctively inched over to give the other some room, giving a quick flash of an apologetic smile. ❝ sorry, am i in your way? ❞

whoops... maybe trying to practice doing skateboard tricks next to someone’s prized porcelain figurine wasn’t a good idea after all. cale was currently leaned up against an electricity panel across the street from the scene of the crime, the culprit hidden behind his back. his father would’ve stormed him over there and woken up the person just to apologize and fork over some money for the damages, but alas, his father was not here, so cale did the first thing he thought of: hide and hope the guy or girl doesn’t have a security camera. he soon saw someone down the street and prayed that they didn’t notice the broken figure. hopefully they’d think the figurine just... fell over and shattered on its own.

OPEN STARTER | location: ivywood memorial library.
Rory’s attention was on the mountain of books she had in her hand. Was she studying? Oh God, no. She was just hanging out in the library for the rest of the day, duh. Made life a little easier for her. She had to form a new routine due to her suddenly popping into Ivywood and so, she was trying to test it out. She had finished classes for the day, grabbed a late afternoon coffee and made her way to the library to spend the finals hours of it being open filled with reading. However, she hadn’t realized that the table she chose was taken, but she wasn’t sure if she cared. There were already so many taken and she was going to be quiet. “Sorry...” Rory murmured as she set her things down. “Do you mind if I sit here, too? Everywhere else is kinda... full.”

Pietro had seen a lot in his life, but nothing was nearly as confusing as this situation. He was sure that he’d died, at least he found it hard to believe that anyone could survive as many bullets as he’d taken, so how was he standing? And more importantly: why was he still in one piece? There should have been more holes in him than the roads in Sokovia, and yet there wasn’t a single scratch on him. “ Якого біса? ” He muttered, squinting as he looked at his surroundings. Taking in a breath, he took a second ( literally, a second ) to run around the town and take stock of his surroundings, before returning to the very same spot and muttering once again, “ Where the hell am I? ”

gothel was out and luckily it was in time for the big party. she waved her mother goodbye and when it was clear the blonde pulled out a dress she had been working on. she had a lot on her mind, the man, eugene, put a lot in her head and she was started to doubt her mother. she looked over at pascal and sighed, “it’s going to be fun right?” the chameleon nodded. “you’ll watch the house right?” he nodded again. she felt so sad about leaving him all alone but their was no way she could take him. “well i didn’t see any rules about you not going, it would be fun right?” pascal jumped happily. the blonde smiled and got ready. with pascal on her shoulder she was ready to head out the door. she stopped though and looked at the shoes, “ugh, fine.” she put them on and hated the feeling but the moment she could take them off she would. she stopped again though and sighed, would it be so bad to leave, would her mother be mad at her. “no here I go.” she stepped outside and ran all the way to the party, laughing brightly at the excitement of the night. when she arrived rapunzel felt the panic set and she squeaked in fear. “i am a horrible person....”

Growing up with two older brothers and Merlin knows how many cousins, Lily experienced her fair share of pranks thrown her way. Being the youngest and only girl of the Potter clan meant that she was often the subject of her brother’s pranks. So, when she woke up in a bed that wasn’t her own, in an unfamiliar town, she just assumed that this was one of those times. “ James?! Albus?! This isn’t funny! ”

Alec spent just a little too much time at Velvet Bourbon, but he was a social guy and liked to people-watch. At least, this Alec did. Normally, Alec Lightwood would be off working, or spending time with his family, not slicking his hair back in a small mirror in the corner of the dining room. After he determined that every hair was perfectly in place, he turned and was immediately met with a spilled drink on his shirt. “ Hey, this is brand new! ” He called out to the person who had now completely walked away, as if nothing happened. “ Asshole. ” He muttered, reaching for a napkin to blot at the stain.

Daphne had been in some pretty creepy places before, but something about this motel gave her the absolute creeps in ways she couldn’t explain. Maybe it had something to do with the fact that she just woke up there, but every time she heard a noise outside her door, she felt the need to investigate. Poking her head out the door, she whispered, “ Did you hear something? Jeepers, this place is creepy! ”

John Smith was a simple man. Most days he woke up, went to work, and came home, just like anyone would. An utterly unremarkable life for an utterly unremarkable man. Today was a day like any other, except today he had to stay at work a bit later in order to finish some grading before the holiday break. He wouldn’t have noticed the person in his doorway if he hadn’t looked up for a brief moment to take a sip of his tea, and he had to admit that they startled him a little bit. “ Oh, come in, come in. ” He looked up, motioning for them to come inside. “ What is it I can do for you? ”

Jonathan had always been stronger than the average person, which he blamed on genetics more than anything. He never really had to work to get ahead in athletics. That being said, sometimes he went a little too hard, and this was one of those times. In his defense, he was pretty sure the swing set was poorly constructed, but that didn’t make him any less mortified when he threw his football through one of the ropes holding up the swing, causing it to snap. “ Uh... My bad? ”
