Back to the Redux Iterum Starkit’s prophecy reimagining. This time with our villains Hollyleaf and Tigerstar.

Which I’ll go over both them under the readmore

Here’s the thing… the fic never states the motive of these two at all. We don’t know why they’re aligned (as darkrose wasn’t a supporter of Ashfur in the slightest either this isn’t a pro-Ashfur thing), when this happened or even what they’re doing this for.

All we know is all the other Clans are allegedly aligned with them, they control the Dark Forest, and any cat that is kicked out of ThunderClan is immediately welcomed in. Also they’re mates.

But along with this… they’re still somewhat welcomed into ThunderClan in some cases. As they have Starkit II in the ThunderClan nursery and seem to just chill there until some other cats show up. And numerous cats apparently saw them there (Redfur and Lakepool, Stormfur and Brook since they’re also in the nursery).

Along with that a fear is that if they do a battle too late they’ll have to spend the night with ThunderClan (???). It’s another befuddlement in the fic.

So in the hypothetical Starkit’s Redux Iterum verse- they’re very much ThunderClan cats for a long while. I’d say what makes them moreso enemies is that they’re opposing Nightclaw/star in her power grabbing. With “Tigerstar” presumably being seen as a candidate to take the position of Leader and that being seen as a threat.

Maybe even “Hollyleaf” is someone of a high position and also considered a threat. After all a culthead would presumably want any high position individual to be a part of the fold instead of an outsider. But I digress onto the names.

Hollyleaf -> Ivythroat

Suffix is rather easy, just switch that plant suffix to another.

This one was a hard one but one I eventually settled on. Hollyleaf in the fic is mostly identified from her being a shapeshifter. While she does fight and run away frequently as well, the thing that will always come to mind is her shape shifting first.

Now iterum doesn’t function on extreme magic like that however. But I wanted to keep something similar to it. And the one thing I can think of is language.

Language does play a role within Iterum, especially with WindClan who speak with other animals. So we can maybe extend this to Ivythroat in which she can communicate rather fluently compared to other ThunderClan cats with animals.

She earns the -throat suffix just barely. And thus she is Ivythroat.

Also her eyes are changed to an amberish color cause I don’t want her to stand out a bit more from Hollyleaf.

Tigerstar -> Adderfoot

Now he gets changed due to keeping the names different from canon characters. I can’t do Dusk- since I already handed that off, so I decided to go with Adder. Any dark brown prefix could work tbh but I wanted Adder.

Now Tigerstar is the leader of the Dark Forest in this book. He spends most of his time either running away or dying.

Turns out by the end the prophecy wasn’t about him either, and he is killed by his mate.

Now I guess he’s an ok fighter? He does kill someone every now and then. But I mostly remember him from either running away from a fight rather easily or dying rather easily. And his kill-being killed ratio is 2-6 so I can’t give him -claw.

But his running away is what eventually gave him the -foot suffix. He’s able to escape from what should be difficult situations quite easily, and even escapes death countless times.

And while Adderfoot isn’t the most threatening name ever I feel like it suits him.

Just like the actual fic they’re the parents to Wrenshade (Rainstar) and Dovestorm (Starkit II). Little would they know that the younger daughter will eventually put a stop to them. Unfortunate for the rest of the Clans as well.
