Today's chapter is just as delicious as the previous two, but this time, SUOL-nim has blessed us with a break from crying.

Let's start with Derrick and Ivonne's conversation!

In the novel, this conversation should have happened earlier, that is, we observe a similar situation as in chapters 86 and 87 (if I'm not mistaken, the conversation between Penelope and Reynold was also shown there at a different time).

In the preview for the chapter, it was written that each brother spends time with his sister. That is, Derrick spends time with Ivonne, who has finally returned, and Reynold spends time with Penelope (in the chapter, there are quite funny frames with them).

I'm actually a bit moved by the Derrick and Ivonne moment, but especially the frame with the three Eckhart siblings. Because you can see how Derrick blames himself for everything that happened. It can be seen that he has not accepted the loss of his younger sister for years, unlike the Duke and Reynold.

Yes, Derrick even has tea with her on the day of Penelope's coming-of-age ceremony—

But what is interesting is that the entire chapter did not show us Ivonne's emotions and gaze. Seriously. Therefore, it seems as if the stories where the girl from the stories about the disappearance of the real daughter are different from the one who actually returned.

Congratulations to Ivonne for finally being able to wash her hair outside of the sea and change her clothes!

But back to the coming of age ceremony!!

Did you want to see Penelope in a tiara? It's time! Look how beautiful she is!!

I like the fact that Winter's necklace was indeed, as written in the novel, slightly superfluous for Penelope's image. Mostly, it seems so because of its gray color, in contrast to the pastel blue colors of other decorations.

Magic works in this world, so the petals that resemble the same Elenvik flowers don't just fall out of nowhere, lol.

In the novel, it was said that Reynold even raised their hands even higher so that all the guests could see and have no doubt that the brother and sister had a good relationship, which also prompted an increase in Penelope's reputation.

I can't put into words how impressed I am with the costumes of the characters. Indeed. They look just fantastic. I especially liked Reynold's costume. The peculiarity is that SUOL-nim always draws outfits that have exactly the same style. That is, a certain element of clothing that we can see and immediately recognize for which character it is.

Also, I'm glad to see the same Reynold's ring that was in the first chapters of the manhwa again, haha. No wonder it is on the middle finger—

But nevertheless, in my opinion, this is an important moment of the chapter!

A conversation between Reynold and Penelope mentions the moment they last met, when Reynold was brainwashed.

Somehow you see what a mouth is for and that it can be used for talking and not just for kissing. Isn't that right, dear Callisto and Penelope?

You see images that were real and from the point of view of a brainwashed Reynold. He didn't act as if he deliberately wanted to reprimand Penelope, but on the contrary, to stop her.

Penelope sees Reynold and realizes that he is at least now brainwashed.

And now the moment I've been waiting for for a very long time!..

YES, THESE ARE THE SAME RABBITS THAT REYNOLD GAVE PENELOPE!

In the next chapter, there will be a rather interesting conversation about how Reynold tried to make a rabbit the color of Penelope's eyes. It's really cute moments between them.

But look at the similarities and differences between Derrick's and Reynold's gifts.

they both presented living beings;

both have similarities with Penelope's appearance colors: Derrick gave a bird the color of her hair, and Reynold tried to create a rabbit with the color of his sister's eyes;

different subtext and symbolism of gifts;

the bird has no one to communicate with, it is alone in the cage, and there are many rabbits, and they are quite fragile, but when they hatch, they are unlikely to live in a cage.

In this chapter, I smiled, while Penelope hardly did, if not at all. The chapter is over on the rabbits... so anyone who wanted to see Callisto, he will be in two weeks :'D

A/N - Since I found no faceclaim name for Ivy, I’m making an OC called Raye McClaren. Enjoy!

FIRST DAY ON SET

“Today we’re here with the cast of Supernatural.” The reporter, Haley, announced with a smile. “We have Jensen Ackles, who plays Dean Winchester, Jared Padalecki as Sam Winchester and the newest addition, Raye McClaren as Ivonne Rainer. How are you guys feeling having completed season two?”

“Do you want my honest answer?” Raye asked with a smirk.

“Absolutely.”

“Like I wanna leave- just kidding.” She giggled after getting a shoulder punch from Jared. “Exhilarating, cause I went into this not knowing whether the fans would like Ivy or not because, you know, late addition, so on and so forth, but she got an amazing reaction.”

“You really worked for that role.” Jensen grinned, nudging Raye.

“Like she actually worked out.” Jared teased, patting her on the shoulder. “Tell ‘em.”

“So,” Raye chuckled, “I got on set around halfway through the filming of season one, and I’m with Diane, the costume executive, and I meet Kripke, and he takes one look at me and goes ‘well…’ Cause Ivy’s a badass, we’re meant to have a-”

“- badass figure.” Hayley and Raye finished together.

“Exactly. So I’m wonderin’ what’s goin’ on and then Kripke just comes out with ‘ok, you’re gonna give us some muscles before your season two debut.” Raye then made a comical expression, which made Jensen laugh. “He gave me six months. I said ‘No, Eric, give me four’. I was that eager to get lean. Yeah, so I buy every exercise equipment thing and new-fangled object because I need to jack up.”

“We were like- are you sure?” Jared cackled, slapping his knee. “Cause she wasn’t an avid exerciser.”

“Now she’s terrifying; she’s a full blown adrenaline junkie, benching insane amounts and doing pull ups like she’s breathing.” Jensen chuckled, hand on her knee. “But we’re proud of her.”

“She’s our adrenaline junkie.”

“I can imagine.” Haley giggled. “And apparently you weren’t actually about to audition for Supernatural, Raye. What changed your mind?”

Raye giggled, running a hand through her hair. “Well, I was actually going to audition for The Devil Wears Prada, which I realise now that I had no chance for if Anne Hathaway, Meryl Streep and Emily Blunt are in it, but Jensen called me up one day and told me about his TV show Supernatural, which he was on with Jared and they were lookin’ for someone with my description to play a character called Ivonne Rainer.

“I’d known Jensen since I’d been his colleague in Dawson’s Creek in ‘03 as CJ’s eventual girlfriend and best friend Autumn and again his love interest Alyssa in Dark Angel, so I was hyped to be on another set with him. I told my agent, Carly, to book me an audition and I turned up in the wardrobe which I thought Ivy would wear. I felt so nervous, but thank the stars that before every audition I start method acting - I terrified the hell out of Carly - and I was already in the zone.”

“Think about it.” Jared smirked, gesturing and Jensen. “If he wasn’t here, she wouldn’t be.”

“Shut up.”

“It’s true and you know it.”

“I’ve got a big head about it.” Jensen winked.

“You two won’t let me live it down.” Raye shook her head with a soft smile. Jensen patted her knee, then took her hand.

“Raye and I had worked together a lot and our on screen chemistry was insane, so I had to get her on Supernatural. And after Dark Angel, of course she’s fit for Ivy, and I can’t see anyone who’d do a better job.”

“Aw, Jen.”

“You’re great at what you do. Don’t sell yourself short, y’hear?”

“Loud and clear.”

“So, guys, what was your favourite scene to film so far?” Hayley asked, smiling a bit at Jensen and Raye.

“These two have done too much talking, so I’ll start.” Jared grinned. “Uh, I’d say the play fight scene in Tall Tales. That one was particularly memorable because Jensen and I are just rolling around, Raye pushes us both off the bed- it’s just an amazing scene.” Jensen and Raye shared a knowing smirk, which caught Jared’s eye. “Uh, the look on their faces probably means they have a shared answer.”

“I think we do.” Raye smirked, and Jensen nodded.

“Wanna say it together?” He snickered.

“On three. One, two-“

“The sex scene.” They chorused, then giggled.

“It’s cause while Jen and I had kissing scenes before, we’d never had a sex scene.” Raye shrugged, looking over at Jensen. “It tested our calibre as actors in the moment.”

“Eric Kripke’s only instruction was go intense.” Jensen grinned, his hand sliding up to Raye’s mid-thigh. “And we had to stay as in sync as possible cause a lot of things could go wrong, but we managed to get through it.”

“The fans loved it too.”

“Oh, they went mad.”

“See, these two have something brewing in the fan base.” Jared smirked, nudging Raye. “The fans call ‘em Raysen.”

“But, sadly, there’s nothin��.”

“Yet.”

“Shut up.”

This time she's streaming on Youtube instead of Twitch! However, the VOD will still not be saved afterward.

As speculated, the cover is Winter and Siyeon(our transmigrator FL), with the necklace Winter gave her in the caves :)

Unfortunately, she doesn't know when the English translation will be licensed since it's between Gyeoeul-nim and the publisher,,

Her voice is so nice... she speaks Korean, English, and Japanese too!

Return of the pink underlayer for the magenta hair!

She talked a little about the Alice in Wonderland dress! The color was specified in the novel as "sky-blue", and SUOL-nim thought it would be fitting for Siyeon to wear such a dress while adventuring with our White Rabbit, Winter

Ahh I had to leave the house for a few hours so the stuff below are all my panicked notes. Some of these are out of order, sorryyy

SUOL-nim showed us the concept arts of the characters individually.

Fun fact, Siyeon and OG!Penelope's concept art has them wearing the same colored shoes, but Siyeon's shoes have low heels, almost like flats.

She says that out of all the characters, Callisto is the hardest to draw. This is especially since his golden hair has narrative importance and the aesthetic is hard to nail down.

The webtoon is mostly SUOL-nim's own work! She doesn't really speak to Gyeoeul-nim about work matters or help in adapting some scenes.

It takes her a week to finish a chapter, so she doesn't really have a "backlog" of progress. This is also why there's an extra week of break after four weeks.

One of the most memorable changes she made in the adaptation was changing the Empire's name from "Inca" to "Eorka". She reasoned that because "Inca" is the name of a real Empire, it would be confusing. Thus, she changed it.

The anagram of "Eorka" to "Korea" was completely accidental.

She has an Instagram for her SUOL account(like how she has a personal and a work Twitter) but has no plans on using it since her Twitter is overwhelming.

She doesn't have a favorite dress, but one of the ones she's especially attached to is the white Goddess dress since most of Penelope's wardrobe is dark.

She shows her folders occasionally, and we get little peeks of concept art for characters like Ivonne, the assassins, Penelope's male disguise, Cedrick, Emily's Hunting Competition dress, Winter's layered clothing, and minor characters, as well as the tiny bird monsters.

She also showed the dress concepts for Season 3!

In addition, we got to see a rendered concept of Penelope(think the promotional portrait) as well as a version of that style for Reynold and Penelope's faces in her folders.

There was also a WIP with Eckles and Penelope, perhaps a small illustration she scrapped, hasn't released yet, or just a concept.

We also got to see a silly doodle of Penelope, a redraw of a Crayon Shin-Chan frame(it's a popular kids manga/anime in East Asia).

The original was Shin-Chan trying to decide between a few identical outfits; the VADD version is the one where Penelope is surrounded by objects representing each ML.

The ointment from Reynold, the scroll from Callisto, Winter's mask, Eckles' collar, and Derrick's bird cage.

Her rendering is immaculate; Siyeon glows off the page.

The info after this is second-handed since I'm still sick and I fell asleep an hour before it ended ;-; but my throat is killing me and my ears were ringing

For the top row, SUOL-nim drew a Penelope, an Eckles getting dressed, and a sulky baby Reynold in a onesie. To the right of him is a doodle of him and Derrick in high chairs, with the Duke and a heavily pregnant Duchess watching over them.

On the bottom row, we have Emily in a noblewoman's dress and a fan with her hair pinned up(with feathers!), the head butler Pennel, and an overworked salaryman Cedrick on his phone.

Edit: He's chatting about Callisto with his feet on the table while thinking about strangling Callisto loll.

The stream was approximately 6 hours long!

Also, something she reiterated for a bit: Season 4 is planned to come out in August/September. The dates are tentative but she wants to get it out to us by that period.

It was nice seeing a lot of the discord and tumblr crew!!

Also, the stream tea: SUOL-nim requested that we translate our comments that weren't in Korean, English, or Japanese since she has to moderate the chat still and she doesn't want to feel left out of her own stream. Even if it's conversing amongst themselves, they should still translate.

A group of Arabic-speaking viewers actively ignored her and there were small fights in chat, and she even addressed this issue TWICE.

And in the end they still didn't do it, so... PLEASE RESPECT SUOL-nim's stream rules! At the end of the day, it's still HER stream! She has to moderate it! Don't make it unnecessarily difficult for streamers to stream!

Hi!! I saw Yvonne/Emily in your list of ships and that has made me curious. Because they are so different in their personalities and I have a hard time believing the real Yvonne would like her unless Emily was two-faced. How do you think was their relationship like before Yvonne was kidnapped by the cult? What are your headcanons? Do you think Leila's curse affected her more than the other maids because she was in love with Yvonne and this is why she hated Penelope the most and was so determined to make her entire life miserable? With Derrick, Reynold and the Duke they all had a "reason" but the maid was neither Yvonne's family nor friend or was she?

In comparision to the other maids who mostly ignored Penelope or bad mouthed her behind her back Emily's actions were so extreme it makes her look like she was a sadistic psychopathic child which doesn't seem realistic unless she had a terrible background/family herself. I'm rambling am I? Anyway if Yvonne was Emily's saviour it would kind of make sense. She dreamt up a reality where she'd be Yvonne's lady's maid and make a good match but then her lady disappeared and the dream shattered when she had to serve a lowly girl like herself. Everything only got worse when Yvonne came back yet Emily still had to serve the hated other lady instead of the true one. Emily grew jealous that she couldn't have become Yvonne's pseudo sister/equal (internalized homophobia? she was jealous of Penelope instead of Ivonne's suitor because as a woman the closest thing she could be to Yvonne would have been what Penelope was to her). Not that it would excuse her crimes ofc. But the yuri angle would have been fascinating to explore.

I think they were something close to childhood friends (because Yvonne was a noble lady and Emily was a commoner) Before Yvonne disappeared, and that definitely affected how Emily treated Penelope. She was, and still is, very angry that they all but replaced Yvonne, and since she can't take that out on them, she takes it out on Penelope, because then she doesn't have to blame anyone else, and she can comfortably believe that it's all Penelope's fault. I also have the headcanon that the Eckharts took Emily in pretty young, so she all but grew up there, and it's a lot more comfortable for her to blame this random girl than the people who practically raised her.

Emily definitely gets hit big time with the curse, to the point she would actively die for the smallest chance that Leila would notice her. She's extremely bitter that she is still being forced to serve Penelope and being dragged down with her, while a bunch of new maids are hired to serve Yvonne. Leila has the tiniest bit of left over fondness for her, but not enough for her to invite her to serve her instead. Emily also has a pretty big "all commoners are evil an backstabbers except for me" thing going on, which definitely helps her feel a lot less guilty about practically torturing Penelope, because obviously this orphan child tricked a Duke into adopting her, because that is something that Can Happen.

I really like the idea of Emily envying Penelope, and wishing that she had had the chance to serve Yvonne and be her friend and equal, even though she kind of wants something more that she can't quite acknowledge because of the time period they live in and also fear of ruining whatever chance she still has with Yvonne.

What if og!Penelope had a secret lover that no one knew about? I've seen a couple of manhwas where they literally add in a new character that originally never existed in the original plot. That way Penelope wouldn't have get with any of the male leads to get a "happy ending". But how would they met? How did they know each other before they got together? Is her lover someone in the duchy or outside? How long will they last before Penelope's family find out that she's in a relationship? And will he help her escape the duchy?

Honestly the possibilities is endless. BTW what kind of lover do you think Penelope would have and what kind of dates they would go on if possible?

The easiest way is if her lover was a servant and part of the duchy as Penelope was often under prohibition, I assume. But it could also be someone easier from the outside. It would mean that they'd saw each other less but the chance of being found out would also be smaller. For example if her lover was a tailor or a jeweler Penelope would have a chance to visit him every time she went on a shopping trip. No one would find it suspicious if it took her the entire day. Picking out the perfect fabric, the ideal color, taking measurements, sewing the dress. It all takes up lots of time and it would make sense that Penelope has to come visit again and again for the fitting of the dress. If it's her favourite shop she would regulary visit it.

She could put on a wig and another dress. Perhaps there is even a talented make-up artist next door? Emily is send on errants and Penelope has no guard assigned to stick to her side. They could walk down the streets eating ice cream and laughing loudly at each others jokes and kiss each other unashamed in public and no one would recognize it's the Eckart's daughter on a date with her lover.

If her lover was a jeweller. It would be quite similar. She is only taking so long because she wants to talk about the design of her necklace! And no one would recognize them on a date if he gave her a magic ring that can make you change appeareances.

Then we have a doctor. He would be called because Penelope has a bad fever but with one look he recognizes that she was abused (the wounds and signs of maltnutrition are there). He would insist for her to visit him regulary at his hospital. or that she must visit his sanatorium at the sea side for her health (if the duke allows it). Maybe he makes up a terminal illness that would allow him to see Penelope regulary.

Even if someone caught them together and saw Penelope in a state of undress it'd be easier to explain it away with "the tailor was just taking measurements" "the doctor was just checking me up. quit being so paranoid, Emily"

Makes me wonder how often ladies had affairs with their favourite shopkeepers.

I imagine the shopkeeper and the jeweler go with her on city dates. They walk through the parks, visit festivals, the opera, cafe’s and so on. If he was a doctor and Penelope visited the seaside. Swimming, going on picknics, climbing maybe (as it is hinted Penelope liked climbing the walls of the Eckart estate) anything really as she would be freer to do anything she likes. Another nice idea is that they teach her a bit about their profession as Penelope does have an interest in fashion. Who knows perhaps she’d make a talented designer?

All three men are financially well off and respected in society. They could afford Penelope to get a fantastic lawyer that saves her. Perhaps they wouldn't even let it come that far. They wanted to ask for Penelope's hand in marriage after her debutante and when news of Ivonne's arrival reaches their ears it only strenghtens their resolution to get Penelope away from the duchy asap. It'd be easier for the Duke to agree too now that his true daughter has arrived and the fake one is acting increasingly annoying. They just want to get rid of her and marrying an unwanted daughter off is the usual way to go.

        Phew I survived now i still got to raise Reynold's and Derricks intimacy "hmm what else am i missing" I took a piece of paper and wrote down notes "if I remember clearly that the OG  Penelope was a commoner without even a last name then lost her mom to an illness at twelve, was adopted because the looked like Ivonne but then according to the spoilers she is actually dead and was possessed"... damn you author-nim lets just pray she isn't dead when Marquis Verdandi finds her, "but then when i grow older I will look nothing like Yvonne... haizzzzz" I sighed "thankfully my reputation isn't ruined.... yet T^T" i scribbled everything I said "plus Penelope became like this because of the damn household "

      "What else..." i wrote down the characters in the game and marked out eclis "eclis.... definitely not he's a jerk why got Penelope nearly killed " uuuhgg author-nim your so cruel even for me i sighed and wrote more notes i stopped at Callisto's name "Callisto... handsome but cruel... my bias T^T I can't definitely not he's also my grim reaper.... "the commotion this morning" he said, ah so its that "im sorry i wont do it again" i said meekly while keeping my head down hmph this atta do it how is me acting skill kyu kyu kyu thankfully i pressed the 'off choices button earlier'

"i won't cause any commotions" i got on my knees "i will take any probations you give me", his eyes widened in shock "you..." he said, i continued "i realized throwing tantrums from the past 2 years was a mistake please forgive me" if it means his favorability will rise i will keep begging for mercy even if it kills me.

He sighed "you may rise, I understand you may now leave eckhart's words carry great weight do not make a commotion again", "i understand" my head still low i got up and left. the moment i got out i sighed "phew"

-click clack- are you f*ckin kidding me "Penelope, Emily has worked here for a long time and she is one of the persons that was willing to be your personal maid due to you actions in the past years are you satisfied now that she is gone" he said

Dear brother i will beg for forgiveness for something i didn't do if it means i'll live "i will no longer create a commotion and live as quietly as possible" "since i wasn't able to handle it you don't need to fire a maid, i was just here begging to father for forgiveness so forgive me once more" then i left 

"i heard you ate rotten food, shouldn't you call for a physician" he said, that is exactly what he said to Penelope  i stopped i my tracks this bitch knew and blamed it on me this btch really gets on my nerve "don't worry young master like i said i won't cause anymore commotions so please don't worry about me" i left quickly and went to my room 

"haaaaaaaa~ im hungry~" i ploped on my bed "thankfully i still remember how to do this that fucker doesn't want me to call him brother so i won't its as easy as that"  -_- i fell asleep.....
