I adored the VR game "Tale of Onogoro" and was so hit by how it ended, I had to write a story about how the player and Haru found each other again. This fic is:
1. The only one in the fandom.
2. Has one kudos and one hit since its release in January '24
3. Is the only fic I wrote that I had a true emotional connection with that made me happy and like I gave the characters a happy ending.
All of you fanfic authors out there have THAT fic.
one you spent ages on
that you put everything into
that you are so fucking proud of
and….
definitely didn’t get as much love as you hoped. Whether it didn’t find the right audience, or found no audience at all.
We all have one.
Repost this with the name of the fic, fandom, and what it’s on (and a link if u want) for people to see.
And I will read and aggressively hype the shit out of all of them. Idgaf if im in the fandom or not. I might not understand shit because who tf are those goobers but ffs you will get support from me.

In the Rain
The rain fell heavily against Raven's cloak as she sat huddled against the side of a rooftop catycorner. Of course, the cloak had been warded to repel water but it didnt stop it from splashing in her face or soaking through her shoes.
By Azar, she hated stake outs but Robin had insisted that everyone got a turn to practice. Of course, hers was a bunch of two bit drug dealers who had gotten the boy wonder's attention. There had not been a meta threat for a few months and so the average criminal was on the menu. Robin wanted to bust the entire gang at once.
The camera was hidden underneath her cloak but her target had not left his apartment for hours.
Raven sensed it first, a sweet scent from her left and she turned quickly, eyes white and ready to strike.
"Easy, tiger, it's just me," Jinx said as she crouched down beside her, the rain having already soaked through her dress and stockings. The girl smelled like a mix of wet socks and blueberries.
"That's not comforting, Jinx, " Raven groused. "I really don't want to deal with you five today."
"Just me," Jinx said trying to snuggle in. Raven pushed her away as a blush caressed the sorceress' gray face.
"Stop it."
"What? I'm cold."
"Should have worn a raincoat."
"Your cloak looks warm."
"Don't you even think about it."
Jinx pouted and crossed her arms with a wet squish, her pink pigtails drooping from the water.
"You weren't so quick to kick me out last week."
The night flooded back to the demon sorceress when she had gone to bed with a book and a cup of tea. She had spent 10 exhausting minutes telling Beast Boy that she was not up to playing Ninja Monkeys vs Aliens 10.
Raven had found Jinx on her bed wearing nothing but a smile. It had never crossed her mind how the enemy of the Teen titans got in let alone why Raven had been quick to toss her book and climb in wordless. Suffice to say, the tea was ice cold when Raven remembered it in the haze of being tangled with the pinkette.
"You're thinking about it," Jinx cooed.
"No I'm not," was the feeble reply. The red heat in her cheeks was obvious, Raven knew it.
Raven saw movement and she sat up with camera ready.
"Go away, I got work to do."
"Fine," Jinx pouted before that smile returned to her eyes. "I'll see you tonight. I have a few other...things..to show you."
As Jinx skipped away, Raven's hands shook slightly. How was she supposed to do her job now with those thoughts?

Chapters: 8/? Fandom: Teen Titans (Animated Series) Rating: Mature Warnings: No Archive Warnings Apply Relationships: Dick Grayson/Raven Characters: Raven (DCU), Robin (DCU), Victor Stone, Garfield Logan, Koriand'r (DCU) Additional Tags: Action/Adventure, Magic, robrae - Freeform, Angst, Humor Series: Part 2 of Candy Series Summary:
Who would have thought a choice could lead to so much pain?
----------------
Even after a week of healing and constant ministrations from her boyfriend, Rachel's face still showed a bit of the purple from the assault at the music hall. The swelling had shrunk to the point that it was only noticeable if you had stopped to study her face.
Rachel had spent that week, when she was able to move, decorating the dance studio for Halloween as Chet had always threw a big party for the students and opened the doors for the trick or treaters who would be coming down the street.
Ever since the phone call to the Justice League, the young woman tried to put the thoughts of Doctor Light out of her mind. The life that she knew him in was dead and gone. She had to focus on her new life with Chet and being normal. Though it still bothered her.
"Miss Adams!"
Rachel turned to see a young teenage girl running in her direction. Though only fifteen, Daphne Saunders was tall and could have quickly passed as seventeen or eighteen. She wore a big grin that was never far from her face, and she promptly spun in place, showing Rachel her clothes. She was wearing a blue shirt and skirt while holding two wooden rods under her arms.
"Whatcha think of my costume?"
"Who are you supposed to be?" Rachel laughed, getting off the step ladder and leaving the last part of the word 'Halloween' dangling in front of the door.
"I'm you! When you kicked those guy's ass! You know you're famous!"
Unfortunately, one of the kids had uploaded the video of her fight to a video sharing platform. Chet told her she had gone viral, of course, after he got over the shock of seeing the video.
"I didn't know you could fight like that!" he had exclaimed after admonishing himself for not being there.
Even Captain Eagle, the Traverse City superhero stopped by, and she insisted that she wanted no more publicity. The kind man had promised to keep everything to a minimum. He did to her relief.
"I did what I had to do, Daphne."
"Can you teach me to fight like that?"
She did not have a chance to answer as the first bunch of kids burst through the door, laughing and screaming at the decorations and candy. There were so many colorful costumes of so many designs. Rachel felt a strong arm wrap around her shoulder, and she turned to see Chet dressed up in a red denim shirt, overalls, and a fake axe on his shoulder.
"When are you going to get your costume on?" he asked.
Rachel raised an eyebrow and looked him over.
"What are you supposed to be?"
"Paul Bunyan."
"I don't think Paul Bunyan is supposed to be so scrawny." Rachel cracked.
He laughed and leaned in for a kiss. She only had a moment before a child groaned, and she quickly broke away.
"It's Halloween. No kissing, Miss Adams," the nine-year-old scolded.
Chet hurried them off towards the punch bowl as the families came in and greeted each other. Rachel swallowed the urge to run. She had promised to be more social in her new life, even though the anxiety of so many people was overwhelming at times. Knowing Chet was nearby helped.
Rachel was about to move towards the punch table herself when a bunch of children rushed passed her, and one little girl hid behind her peering around her legs. Rachel looked down with a smile, but it froze on her face. She recognized Emily, one of the dance students, but she was wearing a black unitard and a blue cape and hood over her shoulder. Rachel could see the little red, plastic gem stuck to her forehead.
"Come on, Raven! We need to beat the HIVE!"
The cold chills shot up her spine as the little girl darted to her brother and his friends. They stood there dressed in cheap Halloween costumes, but she recognized who they were.
"You can't beat the Teen Titans, HIVE!" George, dressed as Robin, shouted.
Trying not to allow her legs to shake, Rachel decided to move towards a seat as five other children dressed in the costumes of the HIVE stepped out. One girl with the cheap pink wig and black dressed pointed at the faux Robin with a laugh.
"You can't stop the mistress of bad luck, Bird brain. HIVE! Attack pattern Alpha!"
And then the candy started flying. Multi-colored plastic balls, darts, and foam flew at the two teams as they mocked battle, but it did not last long as the parents quickly broke them up.
'By Azar, that...that was too much.'
No matter what she did, there was no way to escape the past, was there? The little girl looked like Jinx and even sounded like Jinx. Rachel's breath caught in her throat. How did the girl know about the attack command? It was not like their battles were recorded.
As the girl came over, Rachel smiled weakly.
"Hey! I love your costume."
"Thank you!"
"Where did you learn that phrase, by the way?" Was the question nonchalant enough?
"Oh! The lady in the back who is filling the punch bowls. She taught it to me!"
It was like an ice dagger being shoved through her heart as the little girl skipped away with her mom. Rachel could not move, could not breathe, could not turn her head to look. She and Chet were the only ones working here today, and they did not get help. There was not supposed to be any woman filling punch bowls.
'No, no, no, no, no, NO! FUCK NO!'
Rachel looked at the door. If she started running now, it would take time for them to figure out where she was going. Maybe she could get out of the city and disappear again. Chet moved towards the door to let in more kids as a pang of worry and guilt coursed through her.
She would have to leave him at her mercy. Looking towards the backroom door, Rachel stood shakily and began to make her way to the door. She scooped up the baseball bat they kept in the corner. If she was quick enough, Rachel might get her before she knew it.
Rachel pushed the flimsy door open to the back room and paused as her eyes adjusted to the dark. The white folding tables with the extra punch making materials and bags of half drained candy piled around, but she did not see anybody. She took another step in when she caught the scent to her right. Blueberries.
The hand was like an iron grip on her wrist, and she let the bat go out of surprise. Rachel felt spun around, and the hot, familiar, smooth lips planted on her own. Rachel inhaled the delicious scent of the perfume and the scent of Jinx. It was so familiar yet so invasive. The woman released her, and Rachel stumbled back, trying to put distance between the two.
It was Jinx. There was no way of mistaking those pink eyes that looked at her like a predator cornering her prey. She wore a dark hoodie that covered her hair and jeans instead of her trademark dress and leggings.
"No, oh god, no," Rachel choked out, her eyes wide with terror.
"Hello, Raven," Jinx cooed softly.
Rachel's eyes went to the bat, and Jinx followed. A frown crossed Jinx's face.
"Rae, I'm not here to hurt you," Jinx said cautiously. "I'd thought you'd realize we're past that."
"I...I don't know what to think right now. And don't call me Raven. She died three years ago."
"She looks alive...and delicious to me."
Jinx took another step forward, and Rachel stepped back. The frown on the pinkette's face deepened.
"Raven...er...Rachel. I'm not here to give you away or drag you back."
"Why are you here?" the girl asked, trying not to lose her voice.
"Well, I was hoping to steal you for myself," Jinx joked. "But I see you've shacked up with someone. He's cute. Nice butt."
"Leave him alone!" Rachel squeaked.
Jinx stepped back and sat slowly into one of the folding chairs.
"This isn't how I expected this to go," Jinx murmured perplexed.
"Did you think I was going to run away with you or something?"
"No, but I didn't think you'd treat me like the enemy. Not after all that shit with Nocturnus."
Raven slowly lowered her own trembling body into a chair, and the two women stared across at each other.
"I...I had an accident," Rachel started.
"I know, Ibraham told me a bit of it," Jinx shrugged. "I didn't expect you to take off running, though. I'd have taken you in."
"I...had to go." Rachel's eyes dropped towards the floor.
"Ah. Well, I guess I can understand the need to flee. I can't say I wouldn't have done the same thing if I were in your situation."
Silence reigned again as only the din of the children, muffled by the walls, filled the room.
"Why are you here?" Rachel asked again, this time more steady with her voice.
"Well, two reasons. I wanted to see if I could recruit you as a HIVE specialist."
"What?" Rachel asked with a raised eyebrow.
"You might not have your magic anymore, but you still have all that knowledge and experience. I wanted to see if I could recruit you as a freelance specialist. Our teams send you data at times, and you give them your expert opinion. Pays pretty solid, and you don't have to be in the field."
"Me? Work for the HIVE?"
"It's better money than a cupcake cafe or whatever the hell you call it."
The HIVE. The lure of the supernatural, the world of the heroes and villains. She had stayed out of it for so long, but the siren song was calling to her.
"I don't know. I...I wanted all of that to die with the demon side of me."
"Um ...sorry to break it to you, gal, but your demon side didn't die."
Rachel's eyes grew wide. "What?"
"Yeah, bird brain trained her up and domesticated your demon half. She's now Raquelle of Skath, and she fights with the Titans."
So, she was replaced. Rachel's heart dropped a bit more. Robin did find a way to replace her. She could not even imagine how furious he would have been and how satisfying it was to replace Rachel completely.
"I see."
"That reminds me of the second thing."
"What?"
"The Titans know you're in Traverse City. They'll be here tomorrow."
The fear returned, the desire to run as far as possible. Rachel breathing began to come in short gasps as she stared at the ceiling, trying to think of what to do. She felt the soft hand on her knee and the presence in front of her. The girl's head shot down to see Jinx kneeling in front of her with a smile.
"Shhh, it'll be okay. I see you've been blessed with a full range of emotions now."
"They're shitty to have," Rachel choked out between the tears. The pinkette gently wiped them away.
"I'm here, sweetie, everything is going to be okay."
That was too much. Rachel burst into tears and threw her arms around the pinkette and sobbed into her shoulder.
"Listen, you come with me. I've got a safe house in Traverse city that's not on any of the goody-two-shoes' radar. You can lay low until they give up and leave. They're only here to investigate Doctor Light. Once he's defeated, they won't have any excuse to remain. Then we can talk about where to go from there."
Rachel pulled gently away as Jinx reluctantly let her go. The crying girl tried to rub the tears away.
"I can't leave Chet," Rachel said. "He's been the kindest man to me, and I can't just run away."
There was a small spark of iron in Jinx's eyes, but it faded.
"Well, we can find a use for the boy toy. How much does he know?"
"Nothing. All he knows is I was some runaway he found and rescued on the streets."
"Men are so easy to win over," Jinx chuckled. "Well, the big thing is to stay out of the reach of your ex-boyfriend."
"How...how is Robin?"
"He goes by Nightwing now," Jinx grunted, helping Rachel back to her chair.
"And it did not go so well. After he lost track of you in Los Angeles, he spent the next year and a half terrorizing any town he thought you were in. I have never seen such an enraged individual."
Jinx pulled back her collar to show a thin scar behind under hear ear gracing the side of that lovely neck.
"I had a run-in with him. Dude knows how to inflict pain."
Rachel's hand went instinctively to her mouth with eyes wide.
"Shhhh," Jinx said with a smile. "He was in a dark place. I survived, and the bat gave him a sound thrashing. He's made it up to me since then."
"Made it up to you?"
Jinx's eyes twinkled. "He might be a decent torturer, but I know how to humiliate. We're even now."
Jinx stood and looked towards the door.
"Your boyfriend is going to notice you're missing and come looking for you. What are you going to do?"
"I'm going to carry on with my life," Rachel said. "I'm going to pretend this encounter never happened."
A pang of hurt caressed Jinx's eyes, but Rachel gave a half-smile.
"but I might be able to advise someone once in a while. Chet and I are thinking of refurbishing the dance studio, and we'll need money. Don't earn much on our paychecks."
Jinx grinned.
"Deal. You keep your head down, and I'll make it my mission to keep the Titans away from you."
"Thanks, but why are you doing this?"
Rachel studied Jinx's eyes but saw the message written there. The loving look was all Rachel needed to know the motivation of protecting her and keeping Robin away.
"I may not be able to have you," Jinx whispered huskily. "but at least you're in my life again, and I only have to share with one other person."
With that, the pinkette disappeared out the back door and into the ally.

It was a random occurrence in the elevator but was it meant to be more? Day 2 "Kissing" for RobRae Week 2019
Read it on your favorite Fanfic site or here under the cut!
FF.net: https://www.fanfiction.net/s/13255397/1/A-Kiss-in-Passing AO3: https://archiveofourown.org/works/18391892
The elevator was slow, it had to be. For Robin, it had felt like an hour waiting for it to descend from the common room floor all the way to the second where he was waiting, arms filled with a box of files he needed for the case Jump City PD asked him to look into. It was not often that the local police wanted them involved preferring humans handle human matters and metas handling other metas. In actuality, it was safer all around. In one way, humans were not risking their life while a meta was not being faced with an obscene amount of force because the police were not sure what to do.
Finally, the elevator dinged and slid open. For a second, he froze not expecting to see his friend Raven in the elevator. She stood there with her hood back and book in hand. Her eyes darted up for a moment to see who it was and went right back to reading. One thing was sure, being roommates for as long as they had been, the whole small talk had died away to nonverbal cues each other could read.
"Heading to the common room?" Robin asked not at the right angle to see the buttons.
"Mhmm," was the only answer he got in return. The elevator doors slid shut, and it began to slowly crawl towards the third to the top floor of the tower where they spent most of their time living. For a few seconds, nothing changed.
Robin was standing in a way that he had a chance to study the young woman who shared the elevator with him. It was not often that she was not hooded or uncovered. The cape had been thrown back to hang down her back, so the dark leotard she wore was visible. Robin's eyes studied the lines of her nose and cheeks, the amethyst eyes that moved slowly across the page and the full lips that were deceptively thin. He chuckled inwardly to himself that they looked actually quite kissable. Not that he had any thought of girls as of late, but Raven had an allure of mystery, and that was tantalizing in itself. He finished taking in her curvy but athletic figure and let his mind rest on those lips for a little while longer.
When Raven clapped the book shut, Robin jumped not expecting such a quick movement. She tucked it under one arm and turned on him. If he had not been leaning on the wall with the box in arm, he would have been able to evade her hand that snaked back around his head holding on to the back of his neck. Before any other thought could cross his mind, his entire body went rigid as he felt something warm and wet press up against his mouth. Robin felt the movement of Raven's lips against his seemed to send chills of excitement and fear through his entire body, Adrenalin pumped into him for no reason as the smell of her skin, the aloe lotion, and the scent of chamomile wafted into his nose.
Robin's heart felt as if it was going to explode when she pulled away. There was a stray twinkle in her eyes, but she immediately opened the book and had gone back to reading as if nothing had happened. The door dinged open, and she walked out towards her room, and Robin watched her go and then decided to carry the boxes a bit lower, so nobody else saw how exciting things had gotten in that small elevator.
It had been two weeks since Raven ambushed him in the elevator and he could not get the thought of those lips out of his mind. Anytime Robin made eye contact with her, they invariably dropped to her mouth. She never spoke of the kiss nor did Robin feeling like there was an unwritten rule in place. They fought, they healed, and they ate dinner together like the team they were and known were the wiser.
Finally, Robin had decided it was either some sort of experiment or Raven was just trying something new. She had been experimenting with different sensations and feelings since her father's defeat, and maybe the sorceress felt more comfortable experimenting on him since he was a fellow teammate and with an ironclad moral code. If that were true, Robin would not be against more experimentation if she was up to it.
It was late evening when Robin chose to throw down the binder he had been reading. The police files surrounding the jewelry store robberies were almost identical. It was not the actions of a meta, but police were stumped and wanted a profile. Robin had done them before, and so it was something he was known for. The notes on the profile lay strewn about only a quarter done. He needed more coffee. Robin was wearing his pajamas already and still had his mask. It was paranoia more than actually required to keep his identity a secret from his team. When you were raised and trained by the bat, you never took any chance unless you had to. So far, the group mentioned nothing, and he continued to wear it around people.
Striding through the halls towards the common room's kitchen, he passed the bedrooms of his compatriots. Raven's room was silent, but he could make out Beast Boy and Cyborg snoring up a storm. The Boy Wonder stopped a Starfire's door for a second alarmed that it was half open. He saw the Tamaranian princess laid out on her round bed, simple pink pajama-clad form half fallen off. It took him a second to see Silky, the strange mutated creature trying to crawl out but blocking the door from closing. He nudged the beast back into her room, and it growled in irritation of being foiled.
With the creature secured, Robin finally found his way to the coffee pot. Cleaning out grounds and pouring in triple the recommended amount of fresh coffee, he got the pot started. It was only a matter of minutes before the smell wafted around him. That was when he felt the arms snake under his and lock in place. He instinctively wanted to spin on his attacker, but the gray skin told him who exactly it was.
He turned himself in Raven's hold and came face to face with the sorceress. Robin's heart began to beat faster as the male side of his brain realized she stood there in a faded T-shirt and a pair of black panties. Oh, god those legs seemed to run forever.
"Uh...you need some coffee, Raven?" Robin asked trying his best to sound normal and praying to any god that would listen his body didn't realize the Azerathian was half naked.
She closed with him slowly and tilted her head up at him expectantly.
"Ummm,"
"You've been broadcasting all week how much you liked that kiss," Raven finally said. Her melodic lilt reaching his ears. Now, he had butterflies in his stomach and still did not move.
Raven cocked her head to the side in what could only have been a sarcastic thought. "Are you going to kiss me or what?"
Robin leaned down tentatively and placed his lips against hers. Immediately she closed the little gap that was left and pressed her warm body up against his. Her mouth enveloping his own in a kiss that was pronouncedly erotic. Her tongue explored his mouth while he instinctively returned the favor. Robin's breath became erratic as his body reacted to the gorgeous woman pressed up against him. His fevered brain realized she wore no bra under her t-shirt and that only two pieces of clothing separated her from being completely nude.
Raven broke away, and a growl of frustration escaped him before he could check himself. Her arms were still wrapped around his wait, but her face had taken no a sarcastic smirk, the girl's eyes twinkling.
"Got a comfortable grip there, Robin?"
Robin frowned trying to figure out in the mush that was once his brain what the girl was talking about. It was when she shifted her weight that he realized that in his haze of their passionate kiss, his hands had found their way down, slipped under the fabric and gotten a good hold of her ass.
"I AM SO SORRY!" Robin sputtered as he let go as fast as he could and tried to find a place to put his hands that were at least a million miles away from her body. "I am so so sorry! I didn't' mean to get into your personal space!"
"I didn't say that I minded, Robin," she breathed softly, her face still close to his.
She tugged on his hips away from the forgotten pot of coffee. "Wanna go back to my room?"
It was like a bucket of cold water that drenched him at the words. Robin broke out into a sweat. The thought of climbing into bed with Raven was one of the worst temptations he had ever faced. Her eyes were dark and mysterious, beckoning to a night that he would not soon forget. Robin let out a breath he did not know he was holding and gently extricated himself from her.
"Raven,"
"Yes?"
"I don't want to say this in a way that will insult you. I understand and appreciate how vulnerable you are making yourself but I...I can't go back to your room. It's wrong."
"Wrong?" Raven asked her eyebrows scrunching down. "I'm a grown ass adult, Robin. I can sleep with anyone I want."
"No, it's the way you're behaving. You have come out of nowhere, I can't...I can't take advantage of my best friend in case something is affecting or influencing you."
"You think I'm possessed or something?"
"Raven," Robin pleaded. "I can't risk hurting you. I love you too much to let that happen."
Silence reigned in the room as Robin realized he used the L word and it had just come out. He had not recognized he had feelings for Raven until she was offering herself. Was she possessed? Was it that she was actually just looking for company for the night? Either way, he could not risk hurting the beautiful, amazing woman who stood in front of him.
Raven hung her head, and the leader of the Teen Titans braced himself for the verbal or physical assault that may come. Her head popped back up, and to his relief, she looked like her usual self. Raven, herself, let out a breath. She only said one thing.
"He passed."
There was a squeal from the hallway that was out of view, and a blur of red hair came flying out shrieking like a happy banshee. Starfire hovered there in her own PJs, her eyes lit up with excitement.
"That is SOO WONDERFUL, friend Raven!"
"What the hell is going on?" Robin asked, frustration and anger beginning to seep into his voice. His face flushed with hot embarrassment but Raven closed the distance again and took his hand.
"I...I had to understand you, Robin."
"Understand me?"
"We've been through a lot. Slade, my father, and since I've been free, I've been experimenting with my emotions. I trust you as a leader, Robin, but...I've been wanting to have a closer relationship but didn't know how you would actually be."
"We've been living together for how many years?" Robin asked angrily. "You know me!"
"Do I really? I don't even know your real name," Raven scolded gently. "I wanted to know the true depth of your character when you were presented with a choice. I wanted to know how you would be when you were just with me in a non-professional environment."
"Why?" Robin finally asked sitting down at the kitchen table, his emotions expended.
"I...I was hoping you'd be willing to go out on a date," Raven asked sitting down beside him. "I completely understand if you don't want after tonight, but I had to be sure you were not going to take advantage of my new emotional state. I just had to be sure."
"And Starfire? She there to protect you in case I decided to take advantage of you?" Robin asked gesturing to the Tamaranian who had remained uncharacteristically quiet. She had her fists in a ball and holding them to her chest.
"Actually, she was there in case I tried to take advantage of you," Raven grinned, showing the smile that he had fallen in love with. "I am half demon. Who knows what it might have done if it had a chance to get you into bed."
"Oh."
Silence reigned the room as Robin tried to think, but the more ragged gasps coming from Starfire finally made him turn to look at her. Her skin had become paler, and she seemed to be about to fall to pieces.
"I don't think Star can take the suspense, " Raven chuckled. "Robin, could we go out on a date?"
Robin broke into a smile and reach across the table to take his friend's hand. "Of course, I kinda already admitted I loved you...you know in a very strong friendship way of a man who's gone to hell to save his best friend."
"Sure," Raven answered with no belief in her voice.
Starfire exploded in a shrill squeal of delight and wrapped her powerful arms around them shoving them both against her.
"My bestest friends of the worlds are now lovers!"
"Whoa whoa whoa!" Robin tried to cry out. "Wrong word, Star. We're dating, not lovers."
"There is a difference?"
"Quite," Raven laughed. "I'll explain it to you on the way back to our rooms. Have a good night, Robin. I'll see you in the morning."
"Maybe."
"You do know there were easier ways of finding out your answer," Robin volunteered thinking about the cup of coffee for the first time since starting the pot.
The kiss she placed on his mouth was the sweetest kiss he had ever received. There was a sparkle in her eye, and a gentleness he did not know the half-demon sorceress of Azerath was capable of. Robin sat there until the sounds of their talking had faded. He finally decided what he was.
Tonight, Robin was the luckiest man in Jump City.

"You know, I worry about you."
Robin had landed his last roundhouse kick on the training bag when his friend Raven spoke the words. She had been silent for more of the training, sitting cross-legged on the floor watching him train. He scooped up the towel that was on the floor and pressed it against his sweating face.
"I'm sorry?"
"I worry about you," Raven continued rolling on to her back and tilting her head back to look at him. "You train so hard all the time and have no fun."
Robin cocked an eyebrow looking at his friend who had decided to stay behind when the rest had decided to go to the mall. Robin was glad because Cyborg had been yelling at Beast Boy for losing one of his pieces of technology. Robin did not know which but he really did not care. Initially, she had planned to check out the new bookstore that had come to Jump City but at the last moment changed her mind. She had been sitting there watching him since.
"I have fun," Robin answered bending over and grabbing his gym bag, fishing around for his sports bottle. Raven gave a purr, and Robin turned to face her with a raised eyebrow sucking down the delicious gaterade.
"Something wrong, Rae?"
"Just enjoying the view."
At that, the other eyebrow went up.
"You've never been quite this expressive before," Robin commented walking over to his gear, hooking up his belt, and tapping on his arm pad.
"Well, the others are gone, and I feel more comfortable," Raven said, her amethyst eyes watching him. She rolled on to her belly and propped her chin on her hands.
"I think I'm more worried about you, Raven," Robin said going back to his gym bag and picking it up. "Have you had a chance to meditate?"
"Don't wanna. I like this emotion I am feeling." Raven said with a grin.
"And which one is that?"
"Lust."
Robin froze, his mind trying to calculate what was being said to him and the implications of the words.
"I'm going to go take a shower, Rae, you might want to go meditate. We had a deal."
"What deal? I like you, and you like me. I think we should talk more about it."
Robin walked out of the room to take his shower.
Robin had started the shower to fill the room with a cloud of steam then went to shave before getting in. His mind was busy running through all the possibilities that had been put out there. Since today, Raven had gone from being quiet and sarcastic to talkative and quite forward with her thoughts. It was actually the fact that she did not know about the deal that told him what he needed to know.
Grabbing his towel and wrapping it around him, he made his way to the shower that was running and pulled back the curtain. He froze for a second trying to figure out his next move, but the gentle nudge in the back of his mind made him relax. Standing in the shower, under the hot stream, Raven stood, every gray curve out for him to see. She looked over her shoulder at him with a sexy smile.
"Found this empty shower. Wanna share?"
Robin sighed.
"Who are you?"
Raven frowned. "I'm Raven. Can't you see?"
She gestured to her naked body which Robin tried his best not to look.
"You aren't Raven."
The girl in the shower frowned and folded her arms across her chest. "if you don't want me then just say so. Maybe I've misread all the signals but who the hell do you think I am? If I'm not Raven, who is?"
"Me."
The voice came from the right of the room, and the two turned to see the dark leotard form of the exact girl in the shower. The naked girl in the shower paled and fell back against the stream.
"I'm glad you got my message, Rae," Robin said stepping to the side so Raven could peer in at the naked girl cowering in the corner, the water pounding on her. "this happened."
"I see," Raven answered leaning over casually and turning the water to cold. "I see you kept it in your pants."
"Hey! I think I was really quick in spotting the impostor."
Raven stared at the girl who was not shivering in the bitter cold stream of water.
"How did you figure it out?"
"The ring," Robin said pointing to it. "After Cyborg was yelling that Beast Boy lost it, I recognized the missing holographic ring. Not to mention she didn't know about the deal."
"Oh."
"Deal?" the girl squeaked in the torrent of icy water.
"Yeah," Raven grinned like a predator. "Robin and I have been engaged for four months. Promised not to sleep with each other until after we are married."
"Engaged?!" the girl squeaked in shock and horror. Raven turned the water colder silencing her.
"Who do you think is under the disguise? Jinx?" Robin asked enjoying the game that Raven had started.
"Nah, she's in Cy's room waiting till he comes home. The girl is not as sneaky as she thinks she is." Raven said shaking her head.
"I know," Robin groaned. "Starfire can't be quiet worth a damn. She tripped over her own feet trying to get to Beast Boy's room last night. The whole tower knows they are a couple by now."
"Well, we're not innocent. We haven't told them about us." Raven said putting her head on Robin's shoulder. "We might want to tell them we know and what our secret is. We are a team."
"P...pppp…..please….I'm…. I'm cold."
The two broke out of their conversation to look at the naked doppelganger who was still shivering in the cold shower. Raven put her hand out, and the girl reluctantly tugged the ring off. The image of Raven evaporated to show the wet, blond hair and dark eyes that were filled with a mixture of hurt and embarrassment.
"Kitten?" Robin said surprised.
"Hi," she answered.
"Leave," Raven ordered pushing on Robin's shoulder. He did not question his fiance but strode out the door hearing Cyborg coming down the hall.
Raven turned off the shower, and the girl slumped to the floor. Raven draped a towel over her shoulder which Kitten hugged.
"So, it's true," Raven said softly. "I heard from Fang in one of our battles."
"It's not my fault that I fall for things I can't have," Kitten whispered softly, looking imploringly in Raven's eyes.
"I wanted to hate him, I wanted to hate you. I wanted to make Fang jealous but even when he was playing nice to save the city or when he was willing to come to rescue me from Kwiz Kid-"
"Which you set up."
"-Yeah, he was still willing to. I never had someone go that far for me. I...I thought I could use you to get close and let him know who I really was. I even started a clothing line with the help of my dad. Moth resistant clothing brand. I wanted to show him I was different. I just needed something to hold over his head so he would listen to me."
"Stupid plan."
"I know."
They were silent for a few moments before Kitten let out a ragged sigh.
"I'm sorry, Raven."
"You're fine, dear. I understand."
Raven went to her locker and pulled out sweat pants and a shirt and gave it to the girl who was drying off. Through the entire conversation, Raven had been watching her emotions and felt only genuine feelings. As much as she wanted to smite the daughter of Killer Moth for even thinking she could steal Robin, it did not feel right.
Dressed, the two walked out of the community showers and found Robin standing guard while Beast Boy was arguing with him.
"Listen! My shower is broken, and I need to take one. Cyborg threw me in the pond!"
"You asked for it," Cy said. "I told you not to try and foist that girl on me."
They all stopped when they saw Raven and Kitten.
"Ummm...what is she doing here?" Starfire growled from down the hall.
"She came to visit Robin and I," Raven said evenly. "Kitten had some...uh...business ideas to discuss."
The room was silent for a moment before Beast Boy crossed arms and looked directly at the two birds.
"Okay, I know you guys are together but really? A threesome with Kitten?"
Robin's jaw dropped open in surprise while Raven's eyes turned dark in anger. They had no chance to say anything because Cyborg looked shocked.
"You're dating! And you didn't feel like telling your best friends that you two were a couple. I'm hurt, just hurt."
Starfire was nodding her head vigorously in agreement.
"Hey, Cy," Raven said calmly. "Better take a sandwich to your bedroom. Jinx's been in there for a little while and is probably hungry."
Cyborg froze, looked between the eyes that fell on him and grinned sheepishly.
"Yeah, good idea."
"I thought so," Raven glared, and the tin man hurried away.
"And Star," Robin called to the Tamaranian. "Try using less fluffy slippers when sneaking around. It'll keep you from tripping yourself."
The Princess' face exploded into a sea of color, and she quickly retreated.
Robin looked to find Kitten sitting on the ground laughing to the point that she could not breathe.
"This...this cheered me up."
Once Kitten had left, after begging one hug from Robin, the two birds found themselves on the community couch. Raven had snuggled in under his arm as he was channel surfing. Since the secret was out, she had no issue showing the affection she had learned to express. Robin kissed the woman he loved on her forehead sending the wordless message of his love to her. She teleported one of her books to her hand and snuggled in to read while he watched a movie.
"You...you watching Killer Martians VS Giant Dinos?"
Robin looked to the doorway from the quarters and saw Cyborg standing there sheepishly and the pink feline eyes of Jinx peering around to look at him.
"Yep."
"Mind if we join?"
"It's your house as much as mind, Cy," Robin smiled in Jinx's direction.
The pinkette hopped on Cy's lap and pulled a lap blanket over her as the rather violent movie began. Within a few minutes, Starfire and Beast Boy showed up holding hands and silently nodded to Robin as they curled up in the center between Raven and Jinx.
As the movie played and the sun began to set, Robin looked at his team and the new dynamic that had been created. At this moment, he could feel the old Titans fading and a new era starting. The little things that Starfire and Beast Boy did and the loving glances Jinx and Cyborg shared.
There was a lot to talk about. Jinx's status the most since she never really said if she was going to be an honorary Titan or not. It could be a sticky situation, and Robin did not know if she could fit in their world.
"I ordered pizza," Jinx said dropping her hot pink phone with sequins into her lap. "It'll be here in 20."
Maybe she could fit after all. That could wait till tomorrow. They had a movie to watch.

Life was so good until Robin saw Raven at the pool. Life and thoughts were never the same again. Nonprompt RobRae for RobRae Week 2019!

A/N: Not only another RobRae week 2019 addition but also a gift for @omegansamurai .
Biology. It's a bitch. At least that was what Robin was thinking after the week they had gone to the Jump City community pool. It had been a scorcher of an afternoon that fateful day and Beast Boy was desperate to swim. As usual, anything to do with water, Starfire was all ready for since her planet did not have a lot and the fact that humans of Earth swam in it fascinated her. Robin would go as a chaperone while Cyborg and Raven usually found an excuse to avoid it. This day, Raven decided to go too.
Since the defeat of Trigon and the disappearance of Slade, Jump City had become calm. Most of the HIVE 5 had disbanded to follow more legal careers. Robin had seen Gizmo a few times at the tower working with Cyborg on some technology he was developing as a freelancer for Wayne Enterprises. Jinx had taken up a mercenary position with the HIVE, acting as a hero in her own right, though it was more about protecting dignitaries in foreign lands so they would not get kidnapped. Mammoth, of course, did not go far from the mistress of Bad luck's side and acted as her tank when needed.
Now, the city mostly dealt with the usual criminals which meant the Titans now had to keep PR in mind. Robin had decided the outing would be great for Public Relations, the Titans side by side with the people they protected. He knew how it would go. The kids would absolutely enjoy Garfield changing into all sorts of different animals (though Robin specifically warned him about any shark forms), while the boys would be chatting up Starfire. The innocent Tamaranian Princess would just love the attention. He, on the other hand, would camp out under an umbrella with his computer and finish up paperwork, fielding a few questions from the men about his job and his teammates. That's how it always went. None of those plans took Raven into consideration.
The pool was not packed but it had a decent amount of people. The public was ecstatic when they walked in, Robin in his trunks and white t-shirt while still sporting his mask, Beast Boy in his own maroon trunks and a ducky floater that he had to wear because of a lost bet with their resident sorceress, and Starfire in a two-piece bikini in the same color as her usual clothes. Her hair was back in a pony tail, and Robin had taken a moment just to appreciate the girl's natural beauty before going right back to his computer screen. He had more important things to handle then interest in women. That, was before Raven took off her cloak.
She had arrived a little later than the others and Robin had looked up to watch her to make sure she got comfortable. She had set up under an umbrella on the opposite side of the pool and dropped her cloak and tossed it on the lawn chair beside her. His heart skipped a beat when he caught sight of the black one-piece swimsuit with a small red gem at her throat. It was not a low cut top but it showed off every curve the azerathian girl had. His heart skipped a few beats, and she moved around her little nest, laying out her blanket and piling two or three books besides her. She had her sunglasses on and quickly laid out and began to read.
Why was he staring? Why the hell was he staring at his best friend and thinking the thoughts he did? It was not the first time he had seen her without her cloak, and there was no much difference between the leotard and the swimsuit she presently wore, but there was something, sensual about the way she laid on the blanket absently kicking her feet she had lifted of the ground.
Richard Grayson was glad that he was in his own mind and nobody else could hear him. His mind was no longer on the paperwork he wanted to finish but on his friend. The angle of her hips, the swell of her chest as she breathed and curves of her ass. Irresistible curiosity struck him of what she looked like without the swimsuit. At that point, he immediately shifted his computer a bit lower to make sure nobody knew what he was thinking.
'What the hell is wrong with me?'
Since that day, Robin could not help but notice Raven as they worked, fought, and trained together. She was alluring with every move and caused his heart to beat rapidly when he instructed her personally. Things have gotten so uncomfortable and had opted for looser training clothing lately.
Raven's leg made contact with the training bag, and it was followed by a curse and the sound of her landing on her butt. Raven growled and pushed herself up while Robin tried to look everywhere but the woman on the ground.
"What the hell am I doing wrong, Robin?" Raven demanded. "it's a simple kick but I can't keep my balance."
"Ummm…." What was she doing? All he could remember was the sway of her body and how nicely she was filling out her uniform that day.
"Earth to Robin," Raven chimed right in front of him. The smell of her scent and sweat mixed together and he immediately snapped to.
"Sorry, I was...distracted."
"What is so distracting in here?" Raven asked hands planted on beautiful hips.
'Oh, I wish I could tell you,' he thought but kept it to himself. He shook his head and tried to focus.
"You're shifting your weight to quick and also have a tendency to stand on your toes," Robin explained. "You also need to put the turn in your hip, not your leg."
"What?" Raven glared. "I hate this combat stuff. Can't I just smack the bag with a spell and call it a day?"
"No, You have to get this in case you are disabled of your powers. We have no idea who we will be fighting next."
"Yeah, I know," Raven grumbled pushing a bit of her purple hair out of her eyes. She walked back over to the bag and stood there. Robin watched her, admiring the view.
"You gonna help or what?"
"What?"
"The kick," she said. "I saw you showing Beast Boy. You can touch me for this part."
Robin almost had a heart attack right there. Raven never allowed anyone to touch her and had made it clear that there had to be specific permission before anyone else was allowed. She had seen him training Beast Boy, probably the clumsiest of the Titans, showing him how to swing his hip in a way that allowed the most power in his kick. Now, the dark goddess in front of him said he could touch her.
Gingerly, he walked over and stood behind her, looking at the fantastic view that presented itself. He placed his hands on waist and slid his hands down until he felt the bones of the hips. Damn, she felt good to touch. Did he hear her gasp? Did she like being touched?
"You enjoying yourself?" she asked sarcastically.
Nope. She probably didn't.
"Sorry, Just making sure I had the right position. Now, start your kick."
That was the most glorious fifteen minutes of the day.
Sleep was difficult, his dreams filled with erotic adventures with the other bird in the tower. He woke up a few times through the night thinking that she was nestled in with him only to find the bed empty and his heart aching. Emotions of all kinds rioted in his brain. Robin knew he loved Raven as a best friend and compatriot, but lately, he had found other desires. A love of her that seemed more profound and also correlated with his desire to have her to himself.
The morning he awoke with only a few hours of sleep, he walked in to be greeted with a view of Raven bent over fishing through the dishwasher for a spoon. She had yet to put on the cloak that was sitting on the counter.
Robin groaned to himself.
Raven peered around at him. "You okay?"
"Was sick most of the night," Robin lied trying to keep his eyes on the coffee pot and not the presented derriere.
Raven continued fishing for the spoon, took it to the sink for another scrub, and then finished her brewed tea. Through this Robin had finished his own cup of coffee and was sitting at the island where she took up the seat in front of him.
"You've been weird lately, you okay?" Raven asked after taking a sip.
"Me weird?" Robin asked.
"I'm not blind, Rob, I've seen you staring at me."
"Sorry, lost in thought sometimes," he lied again. He felt her mind probe his gently through their special link but he quickly blocked it, and she retreated through a frown replaced her neutral expression.
"It's not like you to lie to me, Robin. What's going on?" she pressed.
"Nothing. I'm just observant."
"About what?"
"About...things."
"Like?"
"You know...things."
"What type of things is there that you need to stare at me all the time?"
"I was just observing, Raven, no harm."
"I'm not worth observing, Robin. What did you see that made you concerned?"
"I'm not concerned. I just thought-"
"What?"
"Nothing."
"What, Robin?"
"I said-"
"Robin!"
"Fine. I thought you look pretty good and should spend more time not wearing your cape."
The color fled his face as he blurted the words in frustration. He wanted to backpedal, to retreat, to run to his room, seal the door, and never come out again. His own saving grace was that no other members of the team were there to hear what he had said.
Raven, on the other hand, was stunned, but that expression wore off, and a smile and twinkle appeared in her eyes.
"Robin," Raven said cooing. "Are you saying you find me….sexy?"
'Oh, god,' Robin choked as she leaned forward on her hands giving him an accidental view of her cleavage. The message must have blared through their emotional link like an air horn because her grin grew even wider.
"So, the boy wonder is actually human. Bumblee and I were wondering if you were asexual, gay or a machine. I guess we just did not know what you liked."
'Please kill me now?' Where was Slade when you wanted to be put out of your misery? Raven leaned in close not releasing the hold she had on him.
"So, what about me caught your attention? Was it my eyes?" she blinked them quickly and his heart felt like it was going to explode.
"or..." she stood and came over to him and leaned in close, so her voice was a whisper. "were you thinking of other things. Was Robin really thinking of things he could do to my body? Were you thinking of taking me to your bed, undressing me, and doing all sorts of perverted things to me?"
It was not his heart that almost exploded that time.
Raven pulled back, and the rarest and lightest laughs escaped her. It was like an angel had found his situation funny.
"Oh, Robin, you are such a ding dong," Raven said with a broad smile. "I'm so flattered you found me interesting but trust me, I'm quite boring and there are much prettier girls to think about."
'but I don't want to,' Robin thought to himself and wishing she was close again.
"I'm going to go drink my tea while you calm down," Raven said planting a kiss on his forehead. "I'll see you at training."
Robin had hoped that the shutdown and dismissal of his feelings would have been the end of it. His infatuation of Raven had hit so suddenly that he was sure that it was some sort of fluke. As loving and pleasant as her laugh was, it should have been a bucket of cold water on his interest. It had not. What did not help was the fact that she was aware and did not mind taking advantage of him.
He was sure she was doing it for a laugh as best friends do, but it was sheer torture at times to have her so close yet so far. Robin just wanted to take her in his arms, to hold her, to make her his.
So, for the next week, he dealt with her snuggling into him in training, joining beast boy in a dancing competition, right in front of Robin, ass eye level in front of the community couch, on his side, so that was all that filled his vision and other torments.
As much as he hated it, he loved the secret games with her, and Raven seemed to be enjoying the undivided attention he was giving her. Having been freed of Trigon's influence, she was able to experiment with her emotions and why not do it with a trusted friend?
Today, Robin sat in his room sweating as Cyborg had been upgrading the tower and it malfunctioned. Everything was on the fritz including the air conditioning, and Cyborg did not think he was going to get it repaired to some parts were delivered. That meant suffering for a day or two.
The reports were done, and Robin was presently reading one of the autobiographies he collected when there was a sharp rap on the door.
"Enter," Robin said absentmindedly as he flipped the page. The door swished open, and he looked up to see something he was not expecting.
Raven stood there with her clothes clutched in one hand, and the hand holding a towel that was wrapped around her body. Robin's mouth went dry at the lovely visage.
"Damn him," Raven swore as she stood there, hip jutted to the side in anger.
"Wha...what happened?" Robin asked.
"Cyborg's upgrades. Put all the showers on the fritz. I did a check of the systems, and it seems yours is fine since you decided to keep your room's system on a different subnet. Thank goodness for your paranoia."
"Okay," Robin asked trying to keep his eyes above her lovely smooth collarbone.
"I need to use your shower and get this sweat off. It's really bothering my skin today," Raven asked. "Can I use your shower?"
"Go..go ahead."
"Thanks, I appreciate. I owe you."
'Just let me join you,' Robin thought to himself.
He watched her go in and tried to swallow when a bit of beautiful gray skin peeked through the folds of her towel.
'I need to lie down,'
Robin grabbed his book and laid on his back on his bed and closed his eyes trying to concentrate and ignore the fact that there was a naked girl in his shower only a few feet away. The world felt like it got quite more complicated since he discovered his love for Raven and the hormones that he was able to ignore, no longer willing to remain quiet. What had he become? Why was he acting like this?
"It's my fault,"
Robin's eyes jerked open blinking and feeling the taste of sleep in his mouth. He had actually passed out. Raven sat on the bed beside him, her wet hair still fresh and skin glowing from the shower.
"What's your fault?"
"The explicit thoughts," Raven said with red caressing her beautiful cheeks. "I...I looked in your mind without permission. I'm sorry."
"Why did you do that?" Robin asked angrily, more upset the fact she may have seen the fantasies he had over the fact she was in his mind. There was no one else he would trust.
"I wanted to know what was really bothering you and I didn't realize what was happening to you." she admitted sheepishly. "it started at the pool, didn't it."
"Yeah," Robin answered quietly.
"I...I was reading an adult romance novel with some...um...erotic scenes in it and I think when you looked at me, and I glanced at you, I may have initiated a connection and implanted some of my thoughts into your mind."
"So, I'm horny because you made me so?"
"Well, I can't take full responsibility," she scoffed. "There has to be something there beforehand to work."
Her eyes looked at him closely, and she asked the question he wanted to hear but was scared to.
"Are...are you interested in me...more than friends, Robin?"
"Hell yes!"
Well, that was not as romantic or suave as he had wanted it to be, but a big smile appeared on her face.
"You're just so beautiful, Raven," Robin exploded. "You have been my friend for such a long time, and I have always had faith and you and wanted the best. Only recently have I realized I need more of you than just your company. I need your companionship, your touch, your laugh, those eyes. I want you, Raven your mind, heart, and soul."
"..and body, I hope?" She asked sarcastically, but there was a hint of concern.
"You are the most beautiful woman on this planet, Raven. It's been miserable not having you. You're bloody gorgeous and that ass of yours-"
He abruptly stopped choking on what he said, but she giggled. "I'm glad it's appreciated. Robin, I really like you to. I think...I think we should talk about maybe...being more than just friends?"
It was a question, but Robin did not hesitate, he sat up and gently took her face in his hands and kissed the lips that he had wanted to kiss for so long. At first, Raven was startled by the illegal personal contact but melted into his kiss passionately giving as much as she was getting. Breaking free, they both gulped in air.
"Well, I can see we have feelings for each other," Raven gasped trying to breathe.
"I can't live without you, Rae," Robin answered honestly.
Raven took his hand and gave him a gentle smile. "There would be no life without you, Robin. I think we should tell the others before we do anything else. They need to know, so they understand the dynamic."
Great, the waggling eyebrows, and the inevitable questions from Starfire of what "human sexual intercourse was like" and wanting it described in detail.
"I think you're right," Robin said with a heavy sigh as if a weight was off his shoulders.
"On the plus side," she grinned and poke him in the arm. "You might be able to show me some of those fantasies you were thinking about."
'Damn,'Robin thought to himself. 'What a woman.'
'You know I am,'she responded in his mind.

Who would have thought a piece of candy could lead to something more.
The rain had not let up and that was probably a good thing. In their love making, Raven had discovered to her intense embarrassment that she was quite loud. She lay on the pile of clothes that Robin had laid out sometime in their session, her breath coming in little gasps while Robin traced his finger along her stomach.
They were both still naked, something that Raven was acutely aware after the haze of carnal passion had passed. Her mind was concerned that Bruce or Psycho would find them in such a compromising position but each quest of her mind into the surroundings found that they were in the mansion. There was concern but not about them.
"I told them I was going to be here with you till you calmed down," Robin said speaking the question on her mind.
"Well, you can say you calmed me down now." she quipped.
"Three times."
"Hey, watch it."
Robin gently kissed her cheek as she sat up.
"This...this isn't just a quick fling, right?" Raven said trying to explore the new feeling of vulnerability.
"No, Raven, it's not," Robin answered with a gravity that he only spoke when something seriously had to be said. "I love you and I'm not going to let you go."
Raven hugged him again and he felt his hands begin to explore her chest.
"Nope," Raven laughed pushing him off. "We take any longer, they're going to get suspicious."
"Fine," he mock pouted but broke into a brilliant grin she had never seen before. He pushed a strand of her purple hair away from her face.
"You're the best thing that happened to me, Rachel."
"You to, Richard."

Who would have thought a piece of candy could lead to something more.
The only thing that kept her emotions in check was the fact that Raven could still close her eyes and whisper the mantra under her breath. The young sorceress had been tied to a simple wooden chair and left. It was the tightening of the ropes around her wrists that caused her heart to jump. For Raven, the experience of being completely immobilized was exceedingly rare. Her spells and abilities usually kept her out of harm's way but in this case, allowing it to happen was the best choice.
So, she allowed the rough ropes to get tightened around her slender wrists, and she closed her eyes as soon as Poison Ivy sauntered out of the room. With her eyes closed, Raven's meditation freed her mentally. She could feel herself floating free and the sounds of Gotham around her prison muted and far away.
Raven could feel the presence of her emotions around her taking their forms they held in Nevermore.
"You did it again," Pride growled. "humiliated and tied to a chair like a common person."
"She's alive, that's the important thing," Knowledge said with finality. "We know what this Ivy is capable of and Raven is fatigued from the lack of meditation."
"Not to mention she had Psycho to save," Courage added pointedly. "The innocent come first."
"Who knows," Passion cooed. "Maybe they plan to do something to us all tied up? I think we like being tied up. What if Robin tied us up?"
"Really?" Pride hummed in anger. "We're subservient to no man."
"But it could be fun," Passion whined.
The clang of the metal door ripped away the world Raven was in, and her eyes popped open to see she was still in the grungy room. The door though was flung wide open, and a wild woman stood there, her motley clothing was multi-colored, the short shorts old, but the red eyeliner and purposeful chaos told the sorceress everything she needed to know.
"Oh, my goodness!" she crowed in a thick Brooklyn accent. The woman yelled over her shoulder. "Thanks for the new toy, babe!"
Inside, Raven felt Passion cheer.
"Doctor Quinzell," Raven said trying to keep her voice neutral and to belay the tremor that was trying to force its way out.
"I prefer Harley, baby doll. It looks like you got yourself in a pickle of trouble."
"Careful, Harley," Ivy said entering behind her. "She's a demon."
Harley's face twisted slightly at the word, and Raven wasn't sure if the she-clown was impressed or disgusted.
"Half demon," Raven corrected trying to find some way to take control of the conversation.
"She's a Teen Titan," Ivy continued circling behind Raven and out of the sorceress' vision.
"Teen Titan? They a boy band or something?"
"They're a team of metas led by none other than Batman's ex-sidekick."
"Oooooh!" Harley's eyes got wide and came face to face with the trapped girl. "You know Robin?"
"Yes." What was the use of lying now?
"What's his real name?"
"Robin," Raven cracked without thinking. "He got his name changed."
The backhand was sudden and snapped Raven's head to the side. Stars swam in her vision, and as she brought her head back center, she found Ivy had held back Harley's second strike.

Who would have thought a piece of candy could lead to something more.
At first, the room going from black to full light only caused Robin to moan in pain and irritation at the abrupt change. It was the sense of a presence in the room that caused him to start returning to the land of the awake. Forcing his heavy eyes open, he was greeted by the view of Jinx flopped on top of him, head planted on his chest and pink hair messily falling from her head. Her eyes were blinking languidly, and a catlike grin was lazily spreading across her face. Jinx stretched her arms running her hands up and down his pajama shirt clad chest much like the feline her eyes resembled.
"Good morning, Robin. Good morning, Raven."
At the sound of the name, Robin turned his head to meet the flower print midriff of a person standing at the side of his bed. His eyes trailed up the curvy form until he found crossed arms and further up, amethyst eyes and a raised eyebrow.
"Good morning, Robin," Raven's voice cooed, dripping with forced sweetness. "I see you had a great night last night."
Robin's brain finally kicked into gear that Raven was standing in his room and he had a barely clothed Jinx sprawled out over him.
"Raven, I-"
"Oh! He had a great night," Jinx broke in stretching her arms and still not bothering to remove her warm body from his.
"Raven!" he squeaked trying to use his voice for the first time. "It's not what it looks like!"
"Oh?" she feigned surprise. "I see a half-naked girl in your bed like some cheap hooker."
"Hey! I would be an expensive hooker, thank you very much," Jinx purred out eyes still closed but a cat like a smirk gracing her lips. "and stop yanking his chain, Rae Rae, you know Boy Blunder is too straight-laced to get freaky with me."
"I dunno," Raven continued, a hint of a smile appearing on her own lips. "He has been playing up the playboy role hard lately."
"Sweetheart," Jinx said pushing herself up and stretching once more. "If he spent the night with me, he'd still be catatonic. I'm really good with my hips."
A blush graced Raven's face as an unspoken comment passed between the two. If Jinx had not told him about the fling, he would have tried to find out. Instead, he feigned ignorance of the glance.
He was apprehensive that the Azerathian Sorceress was going to kill him when she found Jinx in his bed, but it seemed to not bother her. It might have been the fact she had no interest in him being a lesbian. Jinx, on the other hand, was not in a hurry to move.
Robin sat up, grabbed the girl by the waist ignoring the loud purr, and deposited her on the floor of the bed.
"I have to take a shower."
"Want help?" Jinx offered.
"No. Go away."
"Aww," the pinkette mock pouted, arms across her chest. "Is that how you treat all the girls you invite to bed?"
This was going to be a long morning.

Who would have thought a piece of candy could lead to something more.
The storm that had abated earlier in the day while gallivanting around Gotham's wharf district had come back with a vengeance. The rain pelted the window of Robins room with a fury while the lightning tore the sky in half and illuminated his room.
It was a large room, one of the few in the manor that had been left alone. Batman had made sure that everything was still perfect for him. The simple layout, a few positioned chairs around the cold fireplace in case someone came through either the window or door after him. There were at least twelve weapons hidden around the room and in easy reach if the boy wonder needed them.
Tonight he had the curtain open and was enjoying the light show. Sleep was not coming quickly, and all he could think about was the lust spell and Raven. The ramifications of the spell had not fully settled in until he had a chance to think about it. He had pretty much invited Raven to bed. Robin found it hard not to believe the woman who was his friend and comrade and deserved every ounce of respect, had been treated as if she was a slut to jump in bed with anyone. Why would she even consider him? He was no one of importance, obsessive and bottled his feelings deep down. Robin chuckled sardonically to himself; he could not also guarantee he would even give her a memorable night.
'I'm an idiot, and because of it, our friendship is at risk.'
How was he going to make this up to her without Raven being insulted? He did not want to offend her because she meant a lot to him and also because she would probably crush one of his testicles with her power.
The lightning flashed again painting every object in the room with white light, the thunder peeling through and causing the glass to shake. The flash illuminated something in the corner by the window, a figure just waiting by the door. Robin's heart picked up in excitement as the light from the moon that was not entirely obscured by storm clouds illuminated a feminine form but then tensed. The figure's curves were in her hips and waist, the distinct hue of her hair told him exactly who it was.
"I was wondering how long it would take for you to spot me," Jinx's voice came from the corner of the room. A tone of snark and...fear?
"What do you want?" Robin said evenly, the cold in his voice added to make sure she knew her presence was unwanted.
The lightning flashed, and the thunder rumbled loudly, and to his surprise, he saw her flinch and cower for a split second. She took a few steps closer, so she was entirely in the moonlight. She wore a pair of silken booty shorts and a t-shirt that covered all but half of her midriff. Her hair was down and in a braid, her pink feline eyes focused intently and hopeful.
'What is going on?'
"I...I came to-" Her voice faltered, and Robin sat up in the bed mentally locating the nearest weapon.
"What is it, Jinx? I'm trying to get some sleep."

Who would have thought a piece of candy could lead to something more.
To say it was anticlimactic would have been an understatement but after spending thirty minutes sneaking through the tunnel that smelled like garbage, saltwater, and death, Raven was not happy to arrive at the end and find the inhabitants gone. The trudging had been rough, especially since Ivy had only given her a pair of waders and nothing else, so the edges of her skirt were soaked in the murky water.
Now they stood looking at an alcove where water poured in gently from the side and a large island in the center that was filled with rubbish.
"Awww," Harley pouted looking about. "This ain't no fun."
"They must have moved when you found the other entrance," Ivy mused as the vines that emerged from the water began to sift through the trash on the gravel island. Ivy sucked in a quick breath before relaxing. Raven looked in the direction and saw a few dead bodies half decomposed. Raven reached out gently and felt nothing respond.
"Anything?"
"No. They're dead."
Raven shoved hard down on the emotions that ripped through her. The unknown homeless who had died and would probably remain here until the animals carried off their bones. To die and be forgotten resonated hard, like an intangible fear that had come to life.
"I'm bored," Harley grouched giving a rock a kick causing it to splash.
"Be quiet, sweetheart," Ivy chuckled. "We can go have fun with the cops later."
"But I want to go now!"
"SHHHH!"
It was Raven's voice that caused them to quiet. The young sorceress was sure she had heard something coming from the rocks. All that greeted their ears was the water ebbing against the pebbly shore, the wind trying to make its way out and the dribbling of the water entering through the causeways.

Having fought villains, monsters, and demons, the Titans now must prepare Jump City for the worst challenger yet, Mother Nature.
Even though he was shifted into the form of a giant gorilla, Garfield Logan struggled to keep on his feet. The driving rain had continued to strengthen, buffeting himself, Starfire, and the California National Guard which were trying to prepare for the storm as best as possible.
For the number of years he had lived in Jump City, Beast Boy had seen his share of storms, but this one was something completely different. The air whipped at his fur and the cold rain soaked through the layers directly to the skin. His body desperately wanted to shiver, but it took everything he had to just focus on the sandbags, the metal supports, and anything else he had to touch to keep the city from crumbling.
"Hey, big guy!" shouted a voice through the din of the torrential downpour. Beast Boy looked down from the one-story roof he was on at the soldier yelling up at him. Even with the camouflaged raincoat over his uniform, the man looked thoroughly soaked. "Some of my men need help towards the north. They're having trouble getting some of the cement barriers in place."
"Yous got it!" Beast Boy called out and quickly traversed the rooftops towards his destination. Adrenalin still flowed through his system as this was the first time that Robin had completely left him and Starfire alone to make decisions. The Titans were so spread out that each had to rely on their own experience and judgment to protect the terrified civilians that did not escape.
Garfield had heard the call over the soldier's walkie talkie that the time had passed to flee and the emergency radio broadcasts were telling those who had not yet left the city to find high ground and to hunker down. The storm was to close now to cross the bridge. From what he heard, they were blocking the bridge to protect the idiot who would try to flee in the middle of the downpour.
A blast of lightning ripped across the sky in such a brilliant flare that it momentarily disoriented the shapeshifter. Everything about this storm felt deadly. The bolt seemed to want to rend the bruised air to shreds while the thunder exploded with such ferocity, Beast Boy was forced to duck his head out of instinct.
The corner that the National Guard Sergeant told him about came up abruptly, and Beast Boy surveyed the scene. Soldiers were moving quickly trying to set up concrete barriers and sandbags along a sloping part of the road where water had already begun to form a stream. Flooding was a concern in the older portions of Jump City and creating direction away from housing and business was essential to mitigate the damage. The shapeshifter's eyes were drawn to a thin form carry a hand full of fifteen-pound sandbags with ease. It was draped in a baggy camo raincoat lent by a soldier and a soaked floppy hat to match. The matted red hair peeking out told him who it was. Leaping from his spot, he effortless shifted to a gazelle, bounded to her and then into his own form.
Koriand'r looked up at him with those dewy green eyes. They looked fatigued and vague.
"Star?"
"I...I am growing tired, Beast Boy," she whispered her voice almost lost in the wind. Grabbing one of the bags and remembering to turn into an orangutang before it drug him to the ground, he quickly put the sandbag in its spot and saw Kori place hers and stay leaning there.
"Star, are you alright?"

Having fought villains, monsters, and demons, the Titans now must prepare Jump City for the worst challenger yet, Mother Nature.
It was coming. The weatherman had been talking about it for weeks, and Jump City was doing everything its power to be ready. The problem was, Victor Stone did not think it was going to be enough. The wind whipped at his massive, cybernetic bulk as it crouched on the roof of the Titan's Tower. The black thunderheads ate up the sky while the bolts of lightning appeared to go from one side of the horizon to the other. Every organic part he had left told him to run and hide.
"Cyborg. This is Raven."
The built-in transmitter sent the communication directly to his ear so that it sounded as if his friend was standing beside him.
"Go ahead."
"How's it looking?"
"Just like you would expect. Got some nasty clouds coming in from the west. You?"
There was a pause, and he was not quite sure if she was contemplating something or they had lost signal.
"We're trying to get as many people evacuated as we can. The governor has some troops to make it orderly but…." Cyborg knew the end of the sentence. It was not going to be enough.
The flag on the tower snapped hard in the wind as it changed directions. One gust came hard enough to cause him to lose his footing for a minute. The swirling monstrosity was taking up all the horizon, it's black and blue bruised appearance mixed in with sickly yellow. The weather alert crossed his cybernetic eye that made it appear it was floating in the air.
"ALERT! ALERT! Japan Meteorological Agency reports Typhoon Priscilla has reached Category 3. Winds in excess of 118 miles per hour are expected. Landfall in two hours, thirty-three minutes."
'shit.'
Issuing a mental command, the back of his body adjusted itself so the built-in thrusters could come out and short wings to help him glide. Firing them up, the neon blue light clashed with the sickly brown that the world seemed to be doused in.
"Robin. The weather report is in. Sent to your HUD. I'm making my way towards the East. Bumblebee is down a few troops after Terra was injured."
"Roger, Cyborg," Robin's voice came back tinny and broken up. Their leader was the closest to shore, and so the electromagnetic effect of the storm was already scrambling communication.
Soaring over Jump City towards the other duplicate tower on the east side of town, Cyborg watched the scrambling below. Cars packed on the out ramps trying to flee the city while those who had chosen to stay were putting up plyboard and tarps to protect their windows. The rain had already begun to fall, but it was nowhere near as hard as it was going to be. There were even a few people on the tops of their buildings in lawn chairs and drinks. The world always had a few idiots that never understood the danger they were in.

Having fought villains, monsters, and demons, the Titans now must prepare Jump City for the worst challenger yet, Mother Nature.
---
The storm howled like a beast trying to break free, and all Garfield could do was hunker down in the little shack which was in the center of the work floor that once bustled but now had been abandoned. The warehouse stood against the test of time, but now, Beast Boy was not sure. The walls rattled and shook as the wind pounded the building relentlessly. At times, he could hear the windows shatter as objects were thrown through it.
He had never been this scared in his life. Yes, Gar had faced fear against Slade and many other villains, but mother nature was a monster who could not be defeated. All you could do was wait it out and pray it was not your time to go.
"Garfield?"
Starfire's voice broke him out of his thoughts, and he turned to see the orange-skinned alien shifting in the makeshift bed that he had made. She noted quick enough that it was the only cover she had on
"Why...why am I unclothed?" she asked more confused than anything.
"Hypothermia," Beast Boy said. "You didn't react well to the cold."
"Ah," she answered, watching him as he tried not to look embarrassed. "And you are who I have to thank for preserving my life?"
"Yeah," Gar said, a bit of color coming to his red cheeks. "I tried to get us back to the tower, but I got lost and took refuge here at an old factory in the warehouse district."
She stood, and the blankets that were protecting her modesty slid away. Instinctively, Beast Boy spun around to face away, his face turning crimson. He heard her move about examining the room.
"Have we been able to communicate with the Robin?"
"No," Beast said, talking to the door and trying to look suave. He desperate to not think about the fact there was a naked woman behind him and one as gorgeous as Starfire. "I lost my communicator in the storm, and yours is waterlogged. I think most of the electronics are fried."
"Why do you face away, Garfield?"
She used his name. Starfire rarely used anyone's name unless she was speaking personally. It was something to do with Tamaranian culture and the importance of titles. She had once spent a long-winded hour telling how she saw their hero names as their titles and a sign of respect to use on duty. Starfire had called him Garfield, and it caused his heart to flutter.
"You're...you're naked, Kori," he said venturing to use her name.
"And that is an issue?" she asked puzzled. "We are alone, and no one else is around."
"Uh..."
Oh, god, he wanted to turn around so bad.
