yeah that sums up my feelings there tbh. it doesn't really feel?? like an actual game?? like lets be real it's popular bc it's really funny conceptually to be able to casually sell pikachu off to slavery in the black market. and have piplup fire a gun. when the trailers first dropped i thought it was a pretty clear-cut parody game i have no idea how it's gotten so immediately big

i am Completely Neutral on palworld but i almost feel compelled to take its side just because some of the ways people are saying it plagiarized pokemon are absolutely bonkers

#ive heard mixed things about ai involvement in palworld itself but i do know the dev is an ai guy yeah #im. trying to be optimistic about ai used in creative stuff. i think given restrictions and laws and boundaries #it could be a genuine assist tool. but we are NOT there yet lol #give it actual regulations and ALWAYS disclose when it has been used and Exactly How. everytime. without fail #if it must exist in the creative space at least chain it on a leash and make it work for us like a mule etc etc #idk. i don't have any strong like for palworld in general but i dont 100% hate it atm? strongly neutral. shifty ass cashgrab game though ye #also the pokemon company does NOT need people defending them. lets be real. can we focus on cool monster tamer games #like yokai watch and mhs and cassette beasts instead #please
