ive learned through time that i am unfortunately not a stem neurodivergent but instead a theme park neuro divergent because i can tell you the entire good and bad and ugly history of most theme parks, the rides that reside within them, and why they’re so fascinating as pieces of artistry and machinery and have contributed to technological advancements. I love them. I hate them. They are terrible but are also so beautifully crafted. They would not exist in a just world. The capitalism of how a theme park exists and functions is mental. The placement of them is frequently unwanted by most locals.

#ive been pouring back over my disney documentaries. not ones made by disney #but ones about disney and his history as a shitty complicated rich man.#but the artists he was able to bring together to make stuff. i dont credit him for that but instead the artists who actually made #the things we see. like yes a movie is made by disney the company but do you know the actual names of the animators #same thing applies to the sculpture work and other art applications done to theme parks
