Seeing horse show drama on my dash is WILD. One of these horses is a useable animal the other one is just a pretty feed bill. The classism innate to Dog World has nothing on horses.

#does make you think about show line vs working line animals #and also how many breeds were stolen from their native home and made something they weren't with their histories rewritten #ive actually been thinking about shelties recently and an True Dog Talk I listened to where the person had a sheltie in the 50s #she said that they had been ruined for the show ring and thats where the jumping barking comes from #I'm kind of sad ill never know these breeds as they were intended to be #it's the biggest reason I'm not a fan of describing breeds as 'living history' because they have been change a lot to fit into the show rin
