hard to call myself a pretentious cinephile (positive) because i don't even watch classic or Good cult Films. yes i watch some obscure stuff out of the mainstream or whatever but like. a lot of it isn't good.

#ive a movie buff friend who watches The Good Stuff. your french new waves and whatnot #my movie taste will never like. impress her (i haven't tried since hs + we do have our overlaps)#well i guess that's just underdog syndrome from horror not being taken seriously #i *am* proud of my taste in obscure cinema. i am proud of rotating dubious quality stuff in my mind #i am a little smug about the way my friends reacted when they asked what i watched and i said 'a polish tv movie from the 80s (no subs)'#by god i am a stereotypical goth teenager (age 22)
