Milano, City Angels: preghiera interreligiosa con i senzatetto davanti alla stazione centrale Una festa di Natale per i senzatetto della Stazione Centrale di Milano: si svolgerà alla Vigilia, domenica 24 dicembre, a mezzogiorno, davanti alla Stazione Centrale, per la precisione davanti all'Hotel Gallia. "É un evento significativo ricco solidarietà, di fratellanza e di spiritualità, che organizziamo da 29 anni - dice Mario Furlan, fondatore dei City Angels – Saranno presenti i clochard della Stazione, alcuni dei quali dormono lì. E invitiamo i milanesi a partecipare a questo momento, che incarna lo spirito natalizio d'amore e d'unione". A mezzogiorno si svolgerà la preghiera interreligiosa: pregheranno insieme Don Claudio Burgio, il sacerdote che nella sua comunità accoglie i giovani fragili e problematici; gli imam Maryan Ismail, Presidente dell'Unione Islamica Italiana, e Khaled Elhediny; i rabbini chazanim Valentino Yakov Cameroni e Vittorio Efraim Signorini; la pastora della chiesa evangelica metodista Sophie Langeneck; l'abate della chiesa greco ortodossa Padre Evloghios Legnazzi, insieme con i monaci ortodossi Padre Kirill e Padre Ionut; e il monaco buddista Cesare Milani. Per cercare non ciò che divide, ma ciò che unisce. E per portare un messaggio di speranza in questo momento così difficile per il mondo. "Pregheremo in particolare per il Medio Oriente, per l'Ucraina e per le donne iraniane" dice Furlan. Nel frattempo il rocker testimonial dei City Angels, Omar Pedrini, canterà alcune delle sue canzoni. Sabato 6 gennaio a mezzogiorno, all'hotel Principe di Savoia, torna la Befana del Clochard: 200 senzatetto pranzeranno nell'albergo più lussuoso di Milano, serviti da personaggi istituzionali e da testimonial dei City Angels. Saranno presenti, in veste di camerieri, con la pettorina dei City Angels, i testimonial dei City Angels Enrico Beruschi, Alberto Camerini, Stefano Chiodaroli, Marco Ferradini, Tessa Gelisio, Candida Livatino, Leonardo Manera, Alviero Martini, Susanna Messaggio, Clara Moroni, Folco Orselli, Omar Pedrini, Alex Peroni, Cochi Ponzoni, Edoardo Raspelli, Memo Remigi, Rosmy, Ivana Spagna. WE CRAVE MORE, WE DESERVE MORE, WE WANT MORE

Our members are chosen for a reason: their talents are well known and their influence have granted dreams for those who are worthy to receive acceptance. It is true, however, that we all hold unique values dear to our hearts and find repulsion in merits that might entice the next. How can you impress our growing ranks? Is it even fair, you ask?

Although you do not deserve it, our Society is generous. We will find you in Ko Thxng soon, where the air is humid and the fruits are fresh and sweet. It would almost be an embarrassment to call this beautiful sanctuary party island, but would it be a lie when our hidden gem plays host to your wildest dreams? Dress appropriately, but be prepared to read between the lines.

We would not like to punish our members, but even the most elite might tarnish their reputation with mud slinging and a bit of charity is necessary to drag their priorities back in line. Below we have provided two members to mentor an initiate throughout their days within Ko Thxng. Those who love competition will recognize just how rare this opportunity is: the possibility to bypass those who despise you, to straighten your spine, and to reach our gates without so much as a single vote your way.

Our festivities are broken into three tasks:

Friday will celebrate your arrival with a decadent dinner relative to our beautiful host country. Brush up on your manners, dress like you’re being scored ( you are ), and practice your small talk. We don’t like the boring and mundane, nor do we want to share our space with pigs in human clothes. You may be asked about what you bring to the society; perhaps you’ll run across our astrophysicist, who requires a pondering mind to bounce his latest theories off of. It would be a shame if lost your voice or you tripped over yourself trying to impress one of our high ranking members. 

Saturday will start our second task: for this, all we require is a secret about an initiate. Any secret at all, though the deeper and darker it is, the better your score. Secrets regarding members might just grant you more points than you ever thought possible. Just one secret, though-- that will do. Of course, you can hold onto your morals and bypass this opportunity, but that says more about you than it does about us, doesn’t it? When you are ready, you will enter the library and write your code name, the code name of the one you will betray, then the secret itself. Use the black parchment paper and the gold pen; fold the paper two times, do not roll it, and place it in the jade vase. The vase will be collected at 10 a.m. on Sunday; do not dwell. 

Sunday will be our final task and it will be a surprise for both you and our members. Don’t worry, it won’t hurt-- unless you want it to, that is. Many of our members have expressed their interest in intellect and academic success; perhaps it’s a good time to polish up on your reading and expand your wittiness.

Once the scores are out, we will announce the lucky initiate the following week.

LOGISTICS

The four tasks ( keep in mind initiates only think there are three ) are as follows: 

Formal dinner

Designed to show decorum, initiates are scored on their etiquette and small talk as well as their ability to blend in with a multitude of people. This is, admittedly, the easiest task for completion, and those who get through the dinner without causing a ruckus will receive 5 points. 

Initiate secret

Each initiate has been tasked with finding out the secret of another member or initiate without using technological devices. The secret cannot be given by their mentors ( though they can be about them ) and it is very highly encouraged that the secrets not be ones already known before the weekend. Please keep in mind that if initiates spill secrets about close friends and family members, there will likely be IC repercussions in-game.

The secrets can vary in type and seriousness and must be submitted to the main/appropriate discord channel no later than Monday, June 22. Please do not submit a secret without first talking to the mun who plays that character.

Initiates who submit a secret about another initiate will receive 3 points while those who submit one about a member will receive 5. At the discretion of the scorers, those who submit a particularly juicy secret may receive 1 extra point.

Afterparty ( Saturday night ) 

Designed to test impulses and self-control, this illicit event itself is a test designed to pull those away from the actual weekend and their tasks at hand.

Initiates who do not attend the afterparty are given 5 points. Those who attend and leave before midnight are given 3. Those who attend and remain throughout the party receive 0 points. 

Some members will attend, at least for awhile, to make attending seem acceptable. 

Final task

Designed to test wit and academic knowledge, this task will not be revealed just yet. It will be posted on Friday, June 19. 

IN-CHARACTER KNOWLEDGE: Please keep in mind that initiates are not aware of some aspects of the testing weekend and their mentors are not allowed to tell them everything. Specifically, initiates are not aware that the afterparty functions as an additional task and members are not allowed to tell that so. Members are also not allowed to provide secrets to initiates they are mentoring, as the point of the task is to show how enterprising each character can be.

Milano, City Angels: preghiera interreligiosa con i senzatetto davanti alla Stazione Centrale Una festa di Natale per i senzatetto della Stazione Centrale di Milano: si svolgerà alla Vigilia, domenica 24 dicembre, a mezzogiorno, davanti alla Stazione Centrale, per la precisione davanti all'Hotel Gallia. "É un evento significativo ricco solidarietà, di fratellanza e di spiritualità, che organizziamo da 29 anni - dice Mario Furlan, fondatore dei City Angels – Saranno presenti i clochard della Stazione, alcuni dei quali dormono lì. E invitiamo i milanesi a partecipare a questo momento, che incarna lo spirito natalizio d'amore e d'unione". A mezzogiorno si svolgerà la preghiera interreligiosa: pregheranno insieme Don Claudio Burgio, il sacerdote che nella sua comunità accoglie i giovani fragili e problematici; gli imam Maryan Ismail, Presidente dell'Unione Islamica Italiana, e Khaled Elhediny; i rabbini chazanim Valentino Yakov Cameroni e Vittorio Efraim Signorini; la pastora della chiesa evangelica metodista Sophie Langeneck; l'abate della chiesa greco ortodossa Padre Evloghios Legnazzi, insieme con i monaci ortodossi Padre Kirill e Padre Ionut; e il monaco buddista Cesare Milani.
