Fun fact, my fic This Means War (an MCU Matt Murdock/OC/Billy Russo fic)...uses Kate as the oc. A Kate that doesn't wake up as Tammy...

Kate was created second to the plot, technically. Because I came up with the idea of waking up as someone else first. @vixenofcourse helped me develop Kate into the person she is.

I wanted to get a little sappy below the cut for a bit. First of all, thank you if you decided to read this note and Mechanical Mind // Mechanical Body. This story means a lot to me. The idea for this story came to me in a dream. At first, I didn't intend to make anything out of it. But the images of that dream stayed with me in my mind for a long time until I simply had to put them down to paper. I started writing it in November 2023 and it's been a labor of love for the past six months. Dear reader, I sincerely hope you enjoy this story.

★ walking into the arena for the first time and getting my first look at the stage - seeing it in real life was way more overwhelming than i imagined it to be!

★ the cruel summer bridge right at the beginning, an obvious one but still needs to be included!

★ singing and dancing to you belong with me paying tribute to my 13 year old teenage self

★ during ATW hearing the entire crowd of mostly girls scream "fuck the patriarchy!" together

★ the 3 minute applause for taylor after champagne problems and her reaction to it that genuinely made me tear up

★ also me straight up sobbing and completely losing it during cardigan - somehow that was the one that really got to me

★ the way she said "why?" during LWYMMD

★ the entirety of the 1989 set that was just pure pop perfection and SO much fun live!

★ listening to "down bad" & "but daddy i love him" and specifically thinking of anakin skywalker and all of my lovely tumblr girls - @lacebird, @heartscone, @vader-anakin, @rvrsndrds, @itsladyliv, @gifsbysimplysonia etcetc!

★ the entire production of the TTPD set, clearly so much effort went into this and it was mesmerizing to look at, esp during fortnight and TSMWEL

★ the slut! x false god mashup as a surprise song - in particular the "we'd still worship this love" part sang by the crowd together that made me appreciate the song in a whole new way

★ when she did the little cat movements during midnight rain!

i might add more later but that's it for now i think! <3

Any advice on choosing the name/last name of an OC?? asking because I'm desperate. 🫠

Oh god, @vixenofcourse can tell you how much I avoid naming characters. When I have to, I usually use behindthename.com (I think that's the site...and they have a behindthelastname one too. Or they used to...) and/or look at baby name websites. If I have an idea of the character, I can usually tell what will fit them. Sometimes I look at name meanings, sometimes I take names from ppl I know or have heard of (but that's rare).

Wikipedia is your friend for looking up names because they'll list ppl who have done certain things before (like voice actors, famous ppl, scientists...) and those are usually good places to get ideas from.

7. what scares you the most and why?

Bugs, insects, tiny scary creatures that crawl. I am absolutely terrified of them and always have been. Even looking at a photo of insects makes my skin crawl and it feels like they're on me. YUCK. @crumblekitty can attest to all of this too afgshdg

12. what’s some good advice you want to share?

Freezing food that you can then reheat in the microwave is better than cooking stuff from scratch every day.
