Im going to get flak for this but... Here's the thing about legal walls... it's not graffiti. Its street art, its community art. It's amazing and beautiful. These walls are living and deserve to be treated as such... I was given an amazing opportunity to lay my name amongst some New York heavyweights, but I put my pride and my ego in my pocket and let it go. I let a bunch of neighborhood kids help me with my mural. In turn creating experiences (and a bunch of future artists and trouble makers) that will last longer than the year my #samuraionthefly would have ever survived. I had some criticism from a neighboring artist, "that's all the more you have to fix."... and I just dont see it that way. These kids walk past these walls every day, I dont. These walls belong to them and they deserve to be proud of the art on them. . Thank you Jada, Katerina, Phoenix, Isaac, Yigao, Jaiort, Iris, Eleni, Jeroen, Karla, and Charlotte, for all your hard work today.
