Oooooh! let's say Neuvillette, Wriothesley, and Clorinde get sent back in time to a few years before the Archons quest.

Maybe there was a situation at meropide that required the Ludex/Fontaine's ruler, and Clorinde went to act as a bodyguard even though we all know Neuvillette doesn't need one. Or maybe Sigwinne ordered Wriothesley to leave the fortress and get some vitamin D, and he decided to check in on his friends. Either way, the traveller turned up, things went sideways, and the next thing they know, they're waking up in Meropides infirmary, and there are 2 Wriothesleys.

Only it isn't that there's 2 of him but that they are apparently several years in the past.

It isn't a complete disaster as they know that the Traveller is probably somewhere sorting things out as they speak.

However, all of them are acutely aware that the longer they're here the greater the risk of them destroying their future. No matter how much they all want to stop the disaster trial from happeningas it did the first time, they can't say anything without risking Furina and Focalors' plan. They agree as a group to just act calm and pretend nothing has changed all that much in the future.

This fails spectacularly given only Wriothesley seems to be able to hold it together.

Neuvilette can sense that his Future self is now whole and given that everyone but Furina can see the guilt in Clorindes eyes whenever she so much as looks at his Archon... Neuvillette is inches away from doing something drastic.

Past Clorinde is close to lossing her composure and tearing her hair out because why is her future self looking at her Archon the same way she sometimes catches herself staring at Navia? How could she mess up and hurt someone she cares for that badly a second time?!

Meanwhile, future Wriothesley has carefully lead furina and his younger self into another room to have a tea party because he knows the little Lady has the best teas topside and for everyone's sake she cannot catch on to whatever disaster at subtlety Neuvillette and Clorinde are failing at.

The trio are drinking tea and eating the best cakes all the while ignoring whatever fight seems likely to break out in the other room.

Both Wriothesleys are privately glad that they are not at the center of the drama unfolding.

The younger may be incredibly curious, but given his future self suggested that he should start focusing more on fixing up his 'boat'... it's probably best to just raid the hydro archons tea cupboard and remain ignorant of the matter.

Thinking of how Pre AQ Neuvillette must hate Post AQ Neuvillette because he get irritated at how affective he is toward *HIS* Archon but also sensing his Full Authority, meaning he possibly killed her to gain it back---
