Okay I'm impatient and no one sent the ask yet so fuck it I'm gonna talk about the time an scp fucked up my brain and made me so traumatized that to this day I still fear big highways, big traffic in general, and tunnels so this is your only warning before I talk about that scp in particular, but because I don't think I can do the scp justice with my words I don't think this post will traumatize you but warning anyway just in case okay? okay.
So basically one day I was just chilling and suddenly a notification pops up for that one scp Chanel I forgor how to spell the name of, and I was thinking to myself something like; "well it's been a long time since I've read an scp or listened to someone read an scp to me, wouldn't hurt to try listening to one again, after all when I think of scps I think of spooky rather than scary things at least when it comes to the more popular ones I know and even some of the less popular ones I've read up on weren't that scary, just a fun spooky thing to read right?" Haha. WRONG.WRONG.WRONG.WRONG.WRONG.WR- also I forgot the scp number so I am so sorry for anyone trying to find it 😭
and I won't go into too much detail but basically this guy goes into a tunnel on his way back home and then suddenly through the other end there's immediately very thick traffic at the other end of the tunnel and there's just smog and car fumes everywhere he can't even go outside for too long without going into a coughing fit, anyway he's stuck in traffic and the cars barely move at all, he gets a plan and makes everyone come out of their cars so they can all just talk to each other instead of angerly honking at each other not allowing anyone to sleep just so they can move a few inches forward. Anyway a truck driver I think hands out water or some sort of drink to everyone, the main guy takes a motorcycle and tries to drive against the traffic going backwards to find a way out, but the tunnel is somehow gone, the traffic goes on forever, he drives for hours and eventually gives up and goes back to his car, he and a few others leave together to just keep moving forward, long story short-ish-ly summed up; eventually traffic gets faster they sit at the side of the road and one girl walks into the traffic the three remaining members drive forward more the girl's sister being in a separate car but the two men forget to keep track of her car and loose her in the smog the main guy no longer trusts the other guy he's driving with and keeps saying he's the one with the gun and eventually takes a different car and leaves the other guy behind, eventually the main guy finds a pile up of cars blocking the road, climbs over it gets in a car on the other side and drives forward more, eventually there's another path in the road, it just goes up above the smog and everything, he drives up there but eventually the road gets so thin that he can't open his car door, but he can't go back. There's another car behind him. Pushing him forward. There's cars in front of him too, he's in traffic again, and the road leads to a tunnel full of so much smog that it looks dark in there, he sends a final message, probably from inside the tunnel, but nothing he could have been saying could be heard through the sounds of screaming.
Anyway after I listened to that I had a fucking hard time sleeping, and it still effects me to this day as just a few days ago I had to go through a tunnel and I had to focus on the green trees on the other side in order to keep myself calm, I HATE that scp, like yeah good writing made me traumatized it was so scary but like, unexpected because like most of the scps I read up until that point where more spooky than scary and spooky horror I like more than scary horror, I like being spooked not made to be afraid to ever go on the road again jfc

From some random post we saw while doomscrolling through syscourse(which, are you alright? You're the top poster, which isn't really something to strive for in one of the most hate and rage driven tags systems can find themselves in on tumblr... should take a mental health break every once in a while):
Because, frankly, the anti-tulpa narrative was manufactured to shutdown created systems, and present bigotry in a way that appeared progressive. People aren't actually against words from other languages and religions being used in new ways. They're against these words being used by endogenic systems.
As a pro-endo mixed/POC system who has spent hours upon hours trying to understand the tulpa language discourse argument- I'm honestly really fucking hurt by this hugely inaccurate assumption. I don't see how we're trying to shut down created systems, what i see is trying to educate and steer people away from a term that was created through ignorance, racism [albeit not forwardly malicious], and cultural appropriation.
Tulpa creation bears no connection to Tibetan Buddhism anymore —not that it ever really did, given this exact phenomenon is not actually mentioned to exist, ever, by, i forgot the name of the person who invented the term but i know she was a) white and b) racist in ways outside of this — but is still touted around as being connected and part of that spiritual practice.
It's not about "we dont want endos using this term." It's that we want the term to stop being used ALTOGETHER. We personally have witnessed traumagenic systems exploring creating headmates, and we have steered them away from using tulpa language in favor of "parogenic" as a term.
It saddens us that you can just so brazenly dismiss it as a whole as shutting down created systems while so much else is going on that you're choosing to ignore.
You have a good heart - do more research into why people are saying what they are and don't just dismiss them like that. Please don't speak over those people who are a part of the culture being appropriated, simply because of refusal to change.
And yes, we asked this on anon not out of cowardice, but because we'd really rather not start getting a bunch of death threats on our main blog.

Okay, let's try a thought experiment. Imagine for a moment that there are two universes. In one universe, the anti-tulpa narrative begins and is popularized because it's harmful to Tibetan Buddhists as an ethnoreligious group.
In the other, the anti-tulpa narrative is concocted and pushed heavily by anti-endos as a way of delegitimizing one of the strongest and most well-researched endogenic communities.
What would you say the differences would be between these two universes?
Personally, I think if one were to enter the first universe, you would find several things.
Anti-tulpa sentiment probably would have begun in the early 2000s as the internet was coming into more sidespread use and shows like Supernatural and X-Files would use tulpas as horror monsters.
Similar to above, once backlash started, it would be hitting all presentations of tulpas, including in creepypastas and its use by the SCP Foundation.
Much of the backlash would be coming from members of the Tibetan Buddhist community, including at least some spiritual leaders because yes, religions have hierarchies of leadership.
Well, what about the second universe? What would we expect that universe to look like? Personally, I would expect the following:
There would be zero trace of anyone ever taking issue with the tulpas in shows like Supernatural or X-Files prior to tulpamancy being formed.
All backlash would be focused solely on tulpamancers. Nobody ever would mention the SCP Foundation, Mandella Catalogue or creepypastas about tulpas.
Most of the anti-tulpa backlash would be coming from system circles, and would be heavily pushed by anti-endos. While you might be able to fund a small handful of Tibetan Buddhists who have been convinced by anti-endo rhetoric that it's bad, there would be no spiritual leaders getting involved and most Tibetan Buddhists you ask outside of system spaces wouldn't care.
Which of these two universes do you feel most resembles our own?
Before you answer, here's a fun thread comparing the differences in people's opinions on r/systemscringe vs those on r/Buddhism
When r/systemscringe is pushing a narrative that the word is appropriation while actual Buddhist communities on the same site shrug their shoulders and don't care, this should send up immediate red flags as to the legitimacy of this whole controversy, and which groups are actually interest in pushing it.
Now, I am not suggesting that none of the very small handful of actual Tibetan Buddhists who have taken issues with the practice don't legitimately feel as they claim to.
The problem with propaganda is that it's often very good at manipulating people's emotions. If it couldn't do that, it wouldn't be effective.
We've seen this with similar anti-endo smears, like the ones claiming "system hopping" was appropriated from RAMCOA systems. And sure enough, despite its use in the plural community predating any RAMCOA connection by a full 16 years, this claim still persisted. And some RAMCOA systems were even manipulated by these lies and convinced endogenic systems were stealing terms from their community.
We actually see this same tactic over and over again.
We see it with "system hopping" which they claim was stolen from RAMCOA systems. We see it with "sysmed," which they claim is stolen from the LGBT community. We see this with the very concept of plurality itself.
The fact of the matter is that this has become a core manipulation tactic in the anti-endo playbook, designed to sew division.

FNAF Questionnaire!!
//I answered all the questions, but I did leave the blank template below my answers. I also won’t be tagging anyone since this is just something I wanted to do. But, I encourage you to answer these too if it looks fun ! I’d love to read about more people’s FNAF experiences !
What was your introduction to FNAF?
I think the literal DAY that Markiplier played the first one, my friend sent the video to me over Steam. I immediately fell in LOVE with the way it looked, functioned, and the deeper mystery surrounding the Golden Freddy suit and the newspaper clippings.
How early or late did you enter the fandom?
It’s strange for me. I originally entered it after my friend invited me in, which wassss when the 4 Night Guard OC’s were already established. Then, Undertale was released, and around the beginning of its 2nd week of being out, I completely left FNAF behind. I was still keeping lowkey tabs on it, but nothing serious. I fell COMPLETELY out of it when Sister Location was announced. Then I went through Undertale, Invader Zim, Overwatch, My Hero Academia, Doki Doki Literature Club, SCP: Containment Breach, SCREAM, and Detroit: Become Human while still briefly watching Markiplier and Jacksepticeye play FNAF, before I decided to step back in. So, uh, in case you needed to know just how lost I really am 😅
What’s your favorite merchandise?
THE SPRING-BONNIE PLUSH TOY. THAT IS THE MOST BEAUTIFUL THING THAT’S EVER COME OUT OF THE FUNKO PLUSHIES, AND I WANT ONE SO DESPERATELY BAD. I ALSO LOVE LEFTY, BUT, ULTIMATELY, THE SPRING-BONNIE ONE WINS BY A MIIIILE
What’s your least favorite merchandise?
This one is honestly super hard to answer considering there’s So Much bad merch. But, if I gotta pick anything, it’s gotta be those 5-head keychains, or literally anything with That Bonnie image on it. We’ve all seen it, the 👁👁 one.
Do you own any merchandise?
I do !!! I used to have a shirt, but, idk where it is now. But I do have 2 plush keychains, one of Freddy and the other of Foxy, aaaand I have a little Springtrap keychain that’s missing an ear. At one point, I had a pen with the Cupcake on the end of it, too. But, my favorite thing is my Freddy plush with the questionable patchwork.
What’s your favorite game?
FNAF 1 !!
What’s your least favorite game?
H’ooooohh boy, if Ultimate Custom Night didn’t exist, I would have said FNAF 3. Springy is safe for another day. UCN just feels so.... Unnecessary??? Like I get it it’s cool, there’s new stuff, they got voices now, there’s some weird lore thing going on with William, there’s new personalities for the animatronics, but,,,, it just......... idk. I felt like it came out of nowhere, no one was really that interested in it, the controls are off-the-walls bonkers, there’s a whole category of animatronic who I feel like barely even contributes to the gameplay at all. I JUST WASNT TOO ENTHUSED ABT IT ; ;
FNAF Pet-Peeve?
The lore. There’s so much bull crap scattered around the storyline that doesn’t even make sense anymore . Though, I can respect the fact that Scott is working on making things simpler, these days. He’s trying to clean it up and it shows !!! :)
Favorite character?
Uuuhhhhhhh William/Michael Afton :) Can’t pick, they’re both super interesting
If the last question was answered with a human/or other character, what’s your favorite animatronic?
HOLY HELL HOW DO I EVEN PICK- I like Lefty, Golden Freddy, Marionette, Springtrap, Mangle, etc. !
Do you care about keeping up with lore?
HELL no! :)
What’s your favorite in-game secret?
Good ole’ RXQFSFASXC! Love that dude
Outside of the games, what’s your favorite content?
Special Delivery !!!! Other than that, nnnnot really much. (Besides the toys ✨)
What’s your favorite fan-made FNAF song?
I wanted to say Before by Shadrow, but honestly, NATEWANTSTOBATTLE’S “HOME,” “MADNESS,” AND “ENJOY THE SHOW” ARE SUCH FRIGGIN BANGERS I CANT PICK
What’s something you wish would happen for the franchise?
A Netflix adaption, or the movie to come out already ; ;
Who do you wish got more content?
Oh god that’s so hard- uuuhhhhh.... The nightmare’s. Specifically, Nightmare Fredbear and Nightmare himself. Also Lolbit!!! And Lefty :)
And, finally, opinions on FNAF World?
It’s probably unpopular but- I didn’t think it was too bad !! I actually REALLY liked it! I think it’s super cool that Scott tried to make something for kids, since the main games aren’t too appropriate, while all the while hiding more beneath the surface for the more engaging, older players. It was super cute, the models were ADORABLE, the story was okay, etc.
