One reason I can now offically say RTD is getting lazy with the writing of Doctor Who: companions can now no longer just exit and live their life's and maybe appear again as their own character, they must instead join UNIT just....just because really, like the show insists its for alien expierence but lets be real, its a way to have cameos when needed and also be pro-military.
#i have a challenge for rtd and it may be very fucking impossible this rate: write a single season with ZERO unit appearences#because at this point UNIT has gone from occassional/rare cameo and appearences to straight up in both seasons and the three specials#and hiring any ex companion the show can get back to appear#like gold archive confimred kate only went to companion support group for recruitment#its okay they allowed to rtd for some reason has a obsession with unit and is only critical of other military groups#because...unit for some reason isnt included there
