out here doing the lord’s work (well actually-ing in yt comments bc a game analyst used dark vision in dh as an example of stealth games encouraging players to spend the whole time covering up a beautiful game with an “ugly lens” to see through walls)

#he was saying how disempowerment is the key to stealth games #and I was like bruh #dark vision is half disempowerment #you can no longer see a fucking thing outside its range #that’s the point of the orange ass layer and how crazy it looks #its limitations purposely dissuade players from spamming it the whole time #(and that’s not even to mention the mana limitation too)#it only works for certain situations #and there are so many wide open spaces you need to traverse #it does almost nothing for you for like half of each game #lmao still one of my fave youtubers but like #don’t talk out the side of your mouth about dishonored #when you clearly don’t have a full grasp of how the mechanic fits into the whole of the game
